****All orders are subject to availability - please allow 7 business days for order to process - in store or hand delivery only - NO returns or Refunds after product arrival******* When the old distillery in Cork closed to set the stage for a new era of Irish Whiskey, the plant which had famously created some of the world's most prized whiskies since 1825 was closed, but not dismantled. In some quiet corner somewhere a few choice casks lay. Distilled by the forefather of modern Irish Whiskey, Max Crockett, and cared for by his son, Max and subsequent mas...

Bid on this bottle of 2009 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-Conti Grand Cru (98BH, 98RP, 98WS, 96ST). Wine Advocate: "98+ points. The 2009 Romanee-Conti is surprisingly huge and even obvious in this vintage. That isn’t a problem, just an observation. Romanee-Conti can be an elusive, intensely cerebral wine, but not in 2009. Floral notes add lift on the vivid, kaleidoscopic finish. Today the Romanee-Conti is all about breathtaking exuberance and richness. This is a breathtaking bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2029-2059. 98+ (AG)" (04/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-Conti Grand Cru (99RP, 98BH, 98VN). Wine Advocate: "Usually, choosing between La Tâche and Romanée-Conti is like choosing between your two favourite children. Not this year. The 2012 Romanée-Conti is one of the most spellbinding that I have tasted since I began 17 years ago. The bouquet is quite astonishing with brilliant delineation and focus, an almost disorientating sense of mineralité that soars from the glass and leaves you speechless. The palate is perfectly proportioned with a sensational line of acidity, brimming over with energy and frisson. This flirts with perfection and you know, one day it might actually achieve it. Bid on this bottle of 1981 Karuizawa K&L Exclusive 31 Year Old "Noh Label" Single Barrel Cask Strength Japanese Single Malt Whisky. This legendary distillery has never been available in the United States before. We've worked tirelessly over the past three years to introduce this incredible whisky to our customers. Karuizawa Distillery, located in the Japanese Alps, has not produced any whisky since the early 2000s. Production first began in 1956 and was used exclusively for blending until the late 80s when Single Malt Whisky began to gain notoriety in Japan and worldwide. They've become renowned for the use of incredibly powerful sherry casks. These whiskies are like no other in the world, but will satisfy even the most demanding Single Malt aficionado. The 1981 is considered a rockstar vintage for Karuizawa and has resulted in some very high scoring whisky. (David Othenin-Girard)

100 points Wine Advocate: "A prodigious Petrus, this wine has that extra level of intensity and complexity that is monumental. The magic is clearly Petrus, and the 2000 will always be an interesting vintage to compare to another legend in the making, the 1998, or more recently, of course, the 2005, 2008, and 2009. Extremely full-bodied, with great fruit purity, an unmistakable note of underbrush, black truffle, intense black cherries, licorice, and mulberry, the wine seems to show no evidence of oak whatsoever. It has a sumptuous, unctuous texture, plent...

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2021 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100DC, 100JS, 100VN, (96-98JD), 98TWI) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most brooding, explosive young wines I have ever tasted here. The natural concentration of this drought vintage comes through loud and clear. Huge, youthful tannins reinforce the wine’s potent feel. Waves of graphite, leather, licorice, grilled herbs and lavender saturate the palate, perfectly playing off a core of intense dark fruit. I usually have no issue drinking these wines on the younger side, but the 2021 really does need time. (AG)" (07/2024)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2022 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - (95-97JD), 95VN) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "While I wasn't able to taste the 2021s, the 2022s from Screaming Eagle are undeniable successes. Tasted from multiple barrels, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon has medium to full-bodied, richness, beautiful purity of fruit and ripe, building tannins, as well as a good spine of acidity. This estate did an incredible selection, and it certainly shows in all the samples I was able to taste." (12/2023)

96-100 points Wine Enthusiast: "Smells of chocolate-covered orange, dry malt and oak; aeration stimulates dry breakfast cereal, lanolin, beeswax and palm oil aromas. Entry is layered by sweet grain, oak barrel, vanilla wafer, toffee and fudge; midpalate gives off wave after wave of integrated spirit, grain, wood and acidity. A perfect Speyside single malt. Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Leroy Richebourg Grand Cru. (98WA, 96DC, 95BH) Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Richebourg is breathtaking. Layers of dark fruit, spices, mint are some of the notes that flow from the glass. The Richebourg tannins are quite present, but the fruit has a nobility here that is simply unbelievable. This is a deep, penetrating wine that continues to blossom in the glass, showing tons of pedigree and class. The finish is beyond eternal. The Richebourg is a stand out in flight of extraordinary Burgundies." (AG)

Jancis Robinson: "Extremely youthful crimson with hint of brick only at the rim. Very subtle but not especially intense. Hint of oyster shells. (Or do I make this Broadbentian comment just because I’m sitting next to him?) Lovely lift. Really racy. Still some tannin, old-fashioned tannin, no tannin management here but great integrity and life. Could be Bordeaux [tasted blind]. Very different flavours to wine 3 [Heitz] though similar structure. Neat finish. 18/20 points (JR)" (05/2006) K&L Notes: This is the wine that rocked the international wine world...

90-95 points Wine Enthusiast: "The aroma features fig, prune, pastry dough, honey and maple scents. On palate, Louis XIII offers long and intensely woody flavors; additional layers of flavor, including figs, dates, prunes, dried apricot and vanilla, are featured at midpalate. Finishes elegantly, warm, smooth and more oaky than fruity succulent. Only minor rancio. 100 points Decanter: "Demonstrating the meticulous precision for which the estate is known, the 2019 Monfortino is a thoroughbred. I was able to taste it on a couple of occasions during its maturation, after the blend of Francia and Arione was made. Since bottling last spring, it has retreated into itself and now just hints at black tea, truffle and dark wet earth. The tannins are still rigid and stubborn, though very sophisticated and inextricable from the fruit, while the acidity is simply salivating. Glimpses of baked earth, granite and graphite appea...

Bid on this bottle of 2011 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru (98DC, 96BH, 96JG, 96JM, 96ST, 95RP, 95VN). Decanter: "As is often the case, La Tâche seems a perfect nexus of ripeness, accessibility, and power. The surprisingly open aromas of ripe black cherries and mulberry are complemented by hints of violets, liquorice, and sweet Asian spices. The texture is also approachable, with impressive density given depth by firm tannic grip and bright acidity that draw the wine to a lingering finish. La Tâche 2011 is starting to open already and will easily charm for another thirty years. (CC)" (01/2023)

99 points Decanter: "L’Ermita is the second of Alvaro Palacios’ top wines to gain the Gran Vinya Classificada category. The vineyard now measures 4.7ha; it increased when Palacios and René Barbier swapped land. Work has been done to graft red varieties onto white vines. The result of the labours – including the permissions required from the Archbishop of Zaragoza for this holy hermitage – is a delight. Gloriously aromatic nose, introducing a wonderfully complex palate of cherries integrated with savoury notes, a shaft of minerality, wild herbs, and dark ...

98 points Wine Enthusiast: "A beautiful, pure wine that combines freshness and intense richness. It seems to float while still giving a huge mouthful of plums, coffee and sweet, juicy tannins. A straight line of pure flavor all the way to the finish. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (08/2008) 96 points Decanter: "A bottle of the 2005 Clos des Lambrays from a private cellar demonstrated Thierry Brouin's success with the warm conditions. Bid on this bottle of 2021 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru (98DC, 98TA, 97JM, 97RP, 97VN, 97WS, 96BH). Decanter: "A recent tasting of the 2021 La Tâche confirms it as among the top wines of the vintage. The colour is a deep, saturated ruby, and hints of violets, spice, and smoke deftly accent the ripe aromas of plum and mulberry fruit. The fruit balances the influence of the cask ageing, giving the wine a seamless integration. The texture is denser than most from this vintage, and the tannins are firm but not astringent - just lush, balanced elegance that places this wine above its peers. Picked 24 – 27 September; 6, 947 bottles produced.(CC)" (02/2024)

97 points Decanter: "The Romanée-Saint-Vivant remains a significant step above the Echézeaux and Grands Echézeaux in this portfolio, with a deeper colour and a richer, riper black plum fruit character. The floral elements noticed in barrel are still pronounced, along with a brambly note from the whole cluster ferment and a bit more liquorice spice than it showed earlier in its evolution. The texture on the palate has smoothed out now; there is more depth and richness and less grippy tannins than noted in the fall after the vintage. Picked 27 – 28 Septemb...

98 points Wine & Spirits: "No tasting note given. " (12/2004) 97 points Vinous: "The 2001 Petrus has always been among winemaker Jean-Claude Berrouet’s favourite vintages. It has developed a truly exquisite bouquet that is both svelte and sensual without any sense of being overbearing. It is almost unaware of its beauty. It gradually opens with tinctures of dried blood merging with ebullient and disarmingly pure red fruit with brilliant delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannin, quite forceful red fruit gripping the senses an...

Out of this world. (JS)" (03/2006) 96 points Wine Enthusiast: "One of the great successes of 2003, and a surprise given the problems with Merlot in Pomerol. This is a powerfully huge wine, but its fruit is so rich, so superb that the tannins have just become part of a complete whole. 97 points John Gilman: "The 2011 Pétrus is another utterly magical example of the vintage that will take plenty of cellaring before it fully blossoms, but will eventually outpace the more powerful 2010 at this estate. Olivier Berrouet commented that “with the 2011 having between ten and fifteen percent more tannins than the 2010, its elevage in new oak will be shorter this year as a result.” The team at Pétrus emphasized that “this was a vintage to restrain oneself in the vineyards and do nothing, so that the vines that were already suffering from the hy...

100 points Decanter: "Tasting the 2022 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, one cannot doubt its perfection. The super-ripe aromas of mulberry and pomegranate roll from the glass, accented with hints of smoke, spice, and earth, pervaded by a saline mineral quality. As Cyrielle describes the wine, 'She has more of everything; [while] the Chambertin is more focused.' The wine has exceptional density, firm but supple tannins, and immense length. This extraordinary wine is among the greatest I have tasted from this estate. It will undoubtedly continue to improve for fif...

98-100 points Wine Advocate: "One of the most profound wines of the vintage is the 2023 Cheval Blanc, a striking wine that stands out for its strong sense of identity and seamless integration at such an early stage in its life. Wafting from the glass with notes of mulberries, lilac, dark fruits, iris root and violets, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with a gourmand core of cool, vibrant fruit that entirely conceals its sweet structuring tannins, concluding with a long, perfumed finish. Silky and flavorful. 100% merlot magic. " (04/2024) 98-100 points The Wine Independent: "Le Pin 2023 is 100% Merlot and it has a pH of 3.75.
