Koehler Estate is one of the oldest plantings in the region. This historic estate of 50-year old, own-rooted vines is situtated in the highly regarded Foxen Canyon sub-region of Santa Ynez. Koehler's "Rebel" is a special selection of the estate's richest and most powerful barrels of Cabernet and Syrah that are hand-selected for their bold, expressive fruit and luxurious texture.

98 points Bob Campbell: "Elegant, seamless pinot noir with fragrant, floral, red rose, dark cherry, anise, spice and restrained savoury and fresh herb characters. It's a complex medley of appealing flavours supported by an ethereal texture and a lingering finish. A surprisingly accessible wine from an excellent vintage. Should develop well with bottle age." (01/2022) 98 points James Suckling: "A complex wine from the outset with gently reductive notes and modern oak spice threading into fresh cherry, spiced bread, rose, forest wood and blood orange, as...

Domaine Renaud is a small operation in the town of Puissé making Mâcon, Pouilly-Fuissé and St. Veran from twelve hectares of estate vineyards. Their cellar is modern and they use upright ovals for many of the wines, stainless steel for others. The wines have long been customer favorites at K&L with their clean and fresh style, and their affordable price tags. With citrus and stone fruit profiles, zippy acidity, and a minerality that comes from their humble terroir, we think Renaud is one of the best entry-level Burgundy estates we carry at K&L.

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Wafting of garrigue, blackberries and dusty earth, there's so much to appreciate on the nose itself of this inky Grenache blend. Rounded and plush, it's richly packed with plummy black cherry and berry flavors that mesh into fine-grained but gripping tannins. A wine that should reach peak from 2022 to 2037 yet likely hold further still. (AI)" (03/2021) 92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Châteauneuf Du Pape Clos Du Roi checks in as a blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, and 15% Syrah brought up 10% new barrels, with the balanc...

This balanced, elegant Champagne is composed of 30% Chardonnay, 60% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier. The grapes are all from the Gonet family's estate, spread from the southernmost 1er cru of Vertus to the valley of the Marne. It is a gorgeous wine to toast with: bready, vibrant and flavorful. (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne buyer)

A true gem from the Angel's Envy single barrel program. The brand that brought cask finishing in Bourbon into the mainstream continues to bottle stellar Kentucky Straight Bourbon with that added kick of quality port wine barrels. For years the only high proof offering from the brand was the meager handful of cask strength bottles we received each year which sell for hundreds of dollars and were virtually unobtainable. Now we can lock in a full barrel at 55% ABV (the same proof as the highly sought after Russell's Single Barrels) and just a couple of poin...

93 points James Suckling: "Tangy notes of white pepper, wild herbs and red berries. Hints of agave, too. Elegant and delineated on the palate with a medium body, where you find a fine wrap of chalky tannins to the nimble, elegant red berry fruit." (05/2023) 93 points Wine Advocate: "2021 is clearly the finest vintage of the trio of 2020, 2021 and 2022, and the bottled 2021 Pétalos delivers what the unbottled samples promised: a wine with lower alcohol than ever (13.5%), lighter, a little narrower but with the juiciness of Mencía that seems to come back...

97 points Vinous: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Howell Mountain) is another stellar wine from Robert Craig. Bright and incisive, with tons of energy, the Howell Mountain Cabernet delivers the goods, big time. A rush of inky red/purplish fruit, rose petal, lavender, menthol, spice and crushed rocks build into a crescendo of aromas and flavors that dazzles. This deep, vivid Cabernet hits all the right notes. Superb. (AG)" (10/2021) 96 points Decanter: "Richly scented with dark fruit, loamy soil, vivid violet and rose petal notes and coffee beans. Decaden...

98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The finest wine I've tasted from this estate, the 2020 Château Bellefont-Belcier is an incredibly gorgeous blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby/purple-hued, it offers a great nose of cassis, ripe black cherries, camphor, dried flowers, cedar, and forest floor. Bringing gorgeous richness, it nevertheless stays flawlessly balanced, with ultra-fine tannins and a great finish. The purity of fruit here is just about off the charts. " (03/2023) 97 points James Suckling: "Fascinating aromas of p...

98 points Decanter: "Dried herbs and sweet spices on the nose, forest notes with bramble fruits, concentrated and expressive. Such a smooth delivery on the palate, tannins glide across the tongue giving the sweet strawberry, raspberry and plum fruit time to expand in the mouth as the acidity gives a mouthwatering aspect. This is very much on the lively and vibrant fruit - shouting loudly about its energy. Feels extremely well made, clear definition, finesse and balance. Such a gorgeous fruit profile, the high-toned strawberry and cherry, bright and pierc...
