Ridge Vineyards "Nervo" Sonoma County Zinfandel Vertical
Ridge Vineyards "Nervo" Sonoma County Zinfandel Vertical

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1 2002 Ridge Vineyards "Nervo" Sonoma County Zinfandel, 1-bottle of 2003 Ridge Vineyards "Nervo" Sonoma County Zinfandel, and 1-bottle of 2004 Ridge Vineyards "Nervo" Sonoma County Zinfandel (90RP). Of the 2004 Ridge Vineyards "Nervo" Sonoma County Zinfandel, Wine Advocate writes: "A fairly priced as well as outstanding effort is the 2005 Zinfandel Nervo, [sic]* a blend of 92% Zinfandel and the rest Petite Sirah and Carignan. A dark ruby/purple color and deep, concentrated, blackberry and black cherry fruit with hints of toasty oak, dried herbs, new saddle leather, and earth emerge from this broad, savory, rich Zinfandel. With tangy acidity as well as light to moderate tannin, this is one of the broadest wines of this group. As it sat in the glass, intriguing notes of incense and white chocolate also became apparent. Drink it over the next 5-6 years..." (06/2006)

Carretta Barolo Cannubi
1990 Carretta Barolo Cannubi

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1990 Carretta Barolo Cannubi (92RP). Wine Advocate: "The marvelous 1990 Barolo is made in a traditional, robust, tannic yet super-rich style. It emanates from the highly regarded Cannubi vineyard. It is larger-scaled than the 1989 Barolo Cannubi (and that's saying something), with explosive levels of extract, tannin, glycerin, body, and alcohol. Although it must have 14.5% - 15% alcohol, there is no noticeable hotness because of the wine's sheer concentration. This extroverted, macho, beefy Barolo should be drunk between 1998-2015. This wine is unequivocally from the traditional school of Piedmontese winemaking. Its rustic side, evidenced by huge quantities of ferocious tannin, is accompanied by deep, full-bodied, concentrated wine with layers of pure, ripe fruit. Impressive!" (04/1994)

Domaine Rémi Jobard Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrières"
2016 Domaine Rémi Jobard Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrières"

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Rémi Jobard Meursault 1er Cru "Les Genevrières" ((91-94VN), 91BH). Vinous: "(Jobard picked a full crop of grapes at the beginning of the harvest): Sexy scents of lemon drop and wild herbs. Tactile, juicy and spicy in the mouth, showing excellent lift and mineral energy to the flavors of citrus fruits, ginger and minerals. This wine is not lower in acidity after its malolactic fermentation than the 2015 was, noted Jobard. Finishes lively and long, with an intriguing saline nuance. A lovely vin de terroir in the making. Ceretto "Zonchera" Barolo
1989 Ceretto "Zonchera" Barolo

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Ceretto "Zonchera" Barolo (90RP). Wine Advocate: "The 1989 Barolo Zonchera is the most forward and easy to appreciate of the 1989 single vineyard offerings. Supple, with an intensely-scented nose of black-cherries, herbs, and vanillin, this medium to full-bodied Barolo displays impeccable harmony among its component parts, and a long, sweet, ripe, luscious finish. It should drink well for at least a decade.Ceretto's 1989s and 1990s are unquestionably the finest Barolos I have tasted from this firm. Ceretto's proclivity to produce elegant, graceful, easy going wines has not been compromised in either vintage, but the wines boast terrific richness and concentration. The result is a bevy of riveting Barolos that can be drunk early, or aged for 15 or more years." (04/1994)
