K&L's "Faultline" 8 Year Old Small Batch Straight Rye Whiskey

What a beautiful rich nose of dried fruit, leather, and wood! Despite its high proof, the taste is warm and smooth. I got notes of cinnamon, oak and apricot. This is a rye to drink straight or in a Manhattan, whether you're in the prime booth at late night jazz club, or at home.

This whisky has a lovely nose of toasted wood, spice, and apricot jam. Its's not shy when it comes to taste and opens strong but remains balanced to the end. This is a great deal and is definitely going to become my go to bottle when selecting a well-priced scotch. Despite being from Scotland, this whisky reminds me of sitting under Jeffrey Pines in the California wilderness.

What a treat to be able to try such fine whisky for such a great price! It has a beautiful sherry, toasted nuts, and dried fruit nose. Opens brash but leaves you with a smooth, complex, and comforting finish. Something to drink by the fire in a big leather chair.
