Bid on this bottle of 2005 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Wine Advocate: "Although it’s not entitled to any specific AVA, the 2005 Proprietary Red Thorevilos is largely two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc with some Petit Verdot and a touch of Merlot. Extraordinary aromatics consisting of blueberry liqueur, white flowers, licorice, spice and incense are all present in this profound, multi-layered, full-bodied wine with remarkable purity and precision. It is multidimensional, staggeringly rich and complex... This is one brilliant example of what viticulture, winemaking and terroir can do in the Shangri-La called Napa Valley. (RP)" (06/2015)
Current Bid: $361.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95VN, 94DC, 94WE). Wine Advocate: "Interestingly, the first thing that came to my mind in smelling the 1995 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select was a relatively young vintage of Château Latour. Another fabulous effort, with notes of blackcurrants, graphite, a touch of vanilla, sweet tannin and a full-bodied, multidimensional mouthfeel, this vintage offers stunning aromatics of black fruits, earth, charcoal and lead pencil shavings. In addition, there is an intense, full-bodied mouthfeel, and a youthful vibrancy and vigor that are sensational. This is an amazingly young wine that’s coming up on 20 years of age and another great example of just how these best terroirs of Napa can produce incredibly long-lived Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (12/2014)
Current Bid: $251.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2009 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 93DC, 93RP), 1-bottle of 2010 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 94RP, 93JS), 1-bottle of 2011 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92DC, 92VN, 91JS, 91RP), and 1-bottle of 2012 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JG, 93RP, 93VN). Of the 2010 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Vinous writes: "Bright red-ruby. Exceptional aromatic purity and complexity to the aromas of blueberry, cassis, cocoa powder, mocha, spices and minerals; some very ripe berry pie notes emerged with air. (ST)" (04/2020)
Current Bid: $350.00

Bid on this bottle of 2021 MacDonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (99TWI, 99WS, 98JD, 98RP, 96VN). Wine Spectator: "This seamless, driven, coiled red manages to marry lush notes of black currant, blackberry and fig reduction with burlier accents of walnut, tobacco and warm gravel. Shows an undeniable inner tension but needs considerable time to unfurl. Just when you think you've got this figured out, a bolt of cast iron emerges, adding a vibrato echo of terroir that stamps the superlong finish. This is a special wine. *Collectible* (JM)" (11/2024)
Current Bid: $560.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2018 Künstler Hochheimer Kirchenstück Riesling Großes Gewächs (95JS, 91VN) and 1-bottle of 2018 Künstler Hochheimer Kirchenstück Riesling Großes Gewächs (95JS, 91VN). Of the 2018 Künstler Hochheimer Kirchenstück Riesling Großes Gewächs, James Suckling writes: "Love the creamy and dense mouth feel to this with such depth and intensity. Full body. Lightly cooked apples and peaches with some earth. The caressing texture is impressive. Drink or hold. Screw cap." (09/2019)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 1992 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (92RP, 90VN). Wine Advocate: "The 1992 Opus One, a blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Merlot, offers a beautiful dark ruby/purple color, a big, spicy nose of cassis, lead pencil, and smoky oak, round, full-bodied, broad, fat flavors crammed with black fruits, soft tannin, low acidity, and a fleshy, full-bodied finish. This rich wine confirms just how fine these wines have become since the 1990 vintage. (RP)" (06/1995)
Current Bid: $336.10

Bid on this 3 liter of 2015 Palmer, Margaux (3L) (100JS, 98JA, 98JD, 98RP, 98TWI, 98WE, 97DC, 97VN). James Suckling: "I am breathless with the dark-berry, lavender and burnt-orange aromas. Some salt. Just so formidable and deep. Stunningly sexy on the palate with a density and power, yet it leaves things so clean and bright. You want to drink it and enjoy it now, but it has the structure to last forever. " (02/2018)
Current Bid: $1,379.00

Bid on this bottle of 2000 Colgin "Herb Lamb Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS, 91RP). Wine Spectator: " A thoroughly rich, plush and persistent wine loaded with plush currant and chocolaty flavors, with sage, earth, mocha and espresso scents adding to its complexity. Deeply concentrated, it nonetheless displays a remarkable sense of elegance and finesse and is deftly balanced. *Collectibles* (JL)" (10/2003)
Current Bid: $221.00

Bid on this bottle of 1981 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Advocate: "Medium ruby with no signs of age, this wine offered up a light intensity, spicy, elegant, innocuous bouquet, exhibited ripe, medium-bodied, attractive flavors, and a compact, angular finish. (RP)" (03/1992)
Current Bid: $145.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 E. Guigal "La Mouline" Côte-Rôtie (97DC, 96ST, 95RP, 95VN, 95WS). Decanter: "The nose is discreet but captivating on opening; it certainly speaks of Syrah and could only be Côte-Rôtie - it has that unmistakable finesse. Decidedly spicy, with layers of nutmeg and oak spice over tobacco and raspberry - really quite young still in fact. Only light-bodied, it’s still very smooth, well balanced and harmonious, with good, almost salty, citric acidity. It's dry but not dried out on the palate, and there's still a succulent core to the tannins. It’s drinking well and is arguably at its peak, but will continue on this plateau for some time. A deluxe Côte-Rôtie, which speaks of its place and the house which made it. (MW)" (02/2022)
Current Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1986 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS, 94RP, 93DC). Wine Spectator: "This remains a remarkably complex and flavorful wine, but now it's elegant and refined as well, with polished tannins. Classic Caymus in that it stretches the flavors, with a range that goes from herb and tea to ripe plum and cherry. Finishing with a long, complex aftertaste and still enough tannin to carry it... *Cellar Selection* (JL)" (12/1996)
Current Bid: $336.50

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Schrader "CCS - Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96JS, 96VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard CCS is Clone 4 from another block, and always seems to hit all the sweet spots on my palate. It’s aged 20 months in 100% new Darnajou barrels. The good news is there are 520 cases of it. Just a prodigious wine, this spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon is inky bluish/purple with a gorgeous nose of spring flowers, blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit, a touch of background toast and graphite. It has a very full-bodied, multidimensional mouthfeel and a skyscraper-like finish. It is fabulously open, sexy and a total thrill to smell and taste. (RP)" (10/2014)
Current Bid: $265.00

Bid on this bottle of 1955 Latour, Pauillac (97VN, 95JS, 94RP, 94WS). Vinous: "The 1955 Latour, which came directly from the Mähler-Besse cellar, took some time to settle on the nose, showing a bit of funk at first and then revealing vivacious red berry fruit, graphite, juniper and dried orange peel. This is wondrously detailed and demonstrates more presence than the 1953 Latour, gaining intensity and confidence with aeration. The palate is simply divine: luscious and pure red cherry and strawberry fruit, filigree tannin, perfectly judged acidity and a harmonious, exquisitely structured finish that bears some similarity to the outstanding 1949. This is classic and sophisticated Château Latour that will give many more years of pleasure. Tasted at the Latour dinner in Hong Kong. (NM)" (07/2018)
Current Bid: $750.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2015 Produttori del Barbaresco "Muncagota" Barbaresco Riserva (97WE, 95RP, 94DC, 93VN, 93WS) and 1-bottle of 2017 Produttori del Barbaresco "Muncagota" Barbaresco Riserva (95WE, 95WS, 94RP, 92VN). Of the 2015 Produttori del Barbaresco "Muncagota" Barbaresco Riserva, Wine Enthusiast writes: "Rose, red berry and star anise aromas align with earthy whiffs of forest floor and new leather. The full-bodied, delicious palate doles out succulent Morello cherry, black raspberry, licorice and chopped mint set against a backbone of firm but refined tannins. It's already gorgeous but will be even better with just a few more years of bottle age. *Editors' Choice* (KO)" (09/2020)
Current Bid: $121.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Promontory Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100JD, 100TWI, 99DC, 99JS, 98JA, 98VN, 97RP) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "Lastly, the 2019 Promontory matches the perfect 2016 from this estate and is legendary stuff. Ripe black fruits, chocolatey, lead pencil shaving, roasted herbs, and tobacco are just some of its nuances, and this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a deep, layered, concentrated mid-palate, ultra-fine tannins, and an incredible finish. It doesn’t get any better. This has the class of a First Growth from Bordeaux paired with a Napa sense of texture and fruit." (02/2023)
Current Bid: $1,990.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Sine Qua Non "Pajarito del Amor - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100JD, 100RP, 98VN). Wine Advocate: "Composed of 85.4% Grenache, 7.1% Petite Sirah, 6.9% Syrah and 0.6% Viognier, employing 56% whole cluster, the nose of this opaque, garnet-purple colored uber-Grenache completely explodes with a candied violets, mandarin peel and Indian spices perfume, giving way to a core of bursting-ripe red berries—redcurrants, Morello cherries and raspberries—with an undercurrent of earth, earth and more sweet, fragrant earth. The numbers are telling me this is a full-bodied wine (16.9% alcohol), but the palate is deceptively ethereal, possessing more of a medium to full-bodied feel, thanks in part to bags of well-integrated freshness and fantastic harmony, with soft, silt-like tannins, finishing with loads of savory layers and a fragrant, floral breeze. Yowza, that's good. (LPB)" (08/2020)
Current Bid: $775.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Nickel & Nickel "Dogleg Vineyard" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon. Nickel & Nickel was begun in Oakville in 1997 by the owners of Far Niente (the similarity of their label is hard to miss). In contrast to Far Niente, Nickel & Nickel is dedicated to producing varietal wines from distinct individual vineyards. Each vineyard is farmed and vinified to best illustrate its unique site. In turn, some vineyards are not far apart in distance, but the wines are very different in character. This 100% Cabernet release is sourced from Dogleg Vineyard in St. Helena.
Current Bid: $126.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Ultramarine "Keefer Ranch Vineyard" Blanc de Blancs Sonoma Coast Sparkling Wine ((94-96RP)). Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Keefer Ranch Blanc de Blancs is a new cuvée from Ultramarine, from Chardonnay vines planted in sandy Goldridge soils, with 40 months in bottle on the lees. I tasted this as a hand-disgorged sample at the winery before it received dosage. Winemaker Michael Cruse notes that the first direct-to-consumer release, set for December 2022, received two grams per liter dosage; the rest of these bottles will be disgorged and released later to restaurants. It has compelling accents of dried herbs, almonds and peppery tones to begin, taking time to unfurl its golden apple fruit. Completely dry at this stage, the palate is creamy and fresh with dynamic flavors and a long finish with biscuity undertones. (EB) 94-96+" (09/2022)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2015 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (98JD, 97JS, 95DC, 95RP, 94VN, 94WS) and 1-bottle of 2016 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (99JS, 98JD, 96DC, 95RP, 95VN). Of the 2016 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L), James Suckling writes: "Blackberries, blueberries, raspberry kir, sweet tobacco and black truffle. Full bodied with chewy tannins and superb texture and length. Extremely poised and powerful. Finishes with so much fresh leather and blueberries. Goes on for minutes. Try after 2023." (05/2019)
Starting Bid: $445.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2022 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay (93VN). Vinous: "The 2022 Chardonnay (Napa Valley) is typically a blend of Hyde, Hudson, Arcadia and a few others. In 2022, Hudson was not in the blend. Dried lemon peel, tangerine oil, hazelnut and chamomile unfurl in the glass. The drought conditions of the year produced a wine of considerable intensity. Its weight and viscous intensity make it a sort of mini-Judge. The 2022 is very dense and phenolic. (AG)" (12/2024)
Current Bid: $565.00

Bid on this bottle of 2022 Domaine de Bellene Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes (90WS). Wine Spectator: "A pure expression of black cherry, black currant, violet and iron aromas and flavors highlights this supple, harmonious red. Remains defined and incisive while building to the lingering, spicy finish. (BS)" (04/2025)
Starting Bid: $45.00

Bid on this bottle of Rhys "Perpetual Reserve" California Sparkling Wine (93VN, 93WE, 92JG). Vinous: "The NV Perpetual Reserve (2020 base) includes vintages back to 2016. Rich and creamy in the glass, the 2020 is a terrific introduction to the sparkling wines in this range. There is a vinous intensity to this release that is impossible to miss. Lemon peel, white flowers, ginger, pastry and dried flowers are some of the many nuances that develop over time. Deceptive in its mid-weight feel, the 2020 is layered and intense, both of which make it a fine choice for the dinner table. My impression is that the blend of vintages is an important tool in giving these wines balance, especially at the beginning of a project when everything is new. There is a bit of push and pull tension between the complexity of the older vintages and the steely vibrancy of the base year, in this case 2020, that will take some time to sort itself out. Disgorged: April 2023. (AG)" (08/2023)
Current Bid: $47.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Bahans Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (93RP, 93VN, 92WE, 92WS, 91ST). Vinous: "The 2005 Bahans Haut-Brion is the second wine from Haut-Brion, known today as Le Clarence. A huge, virile red, the 2005 exudes intensity from start to finish. Black cherry, plum, smoke, tobacco, gravel and cured meats blast across the palate. The wine’s richness, heft and power are truly remarkable. Today, the 2005 comes across as shockingly young. This heady, exotic Pessac-Léognan has much to offer. It’s price naturally reflects its position as a second wine to a First Growth, yet the 2005 is a serious wine that has a ton to offer. (AG)" (04/2021)
Current Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Beaux Frères "Palissage-Beaux Frères Vineyard" Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir. Crafted in small quantities from north-facing slopes from their estate, where the vines are cultivated in a particular Old World style for which the wine is named. From the winery: "Power and poise find equilibrium in a garland of juicy berries, hibiscus tea, allspice and brown butter. In an own-rooted Pommard block planted in ‘88, we’ve begun exploring an Old-World technique ('Palissage'), where vertical shoots that would otherwise be hedged are instead tucked back into the vine canopy. These cooler, north-sloping blocks—where wines of complexity emerge—may benefit from accelerated ripening with this method. For gusto, barrels were also selected from ‘90s plantings grafted to Dijon clone Pinot Noir. The result is a wine with graceful intensity, bound for beautiful development over decades in the cellar."
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Turley "Library Vineyard" Napa Valley Petite Syrah (97RP, 93WS, 92WE). Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Petite Syrah Library Vineyard emerges from a parcel in downtown St. Helena planted in the late 1800s/early 1900s. As is the case with most of California's heritage sites, the vineyard consists of a field blend, in this case with at least 26 different known varieties. The Library is one of the most unique wines I have ever tasted in California. Exotic and beguiling, the Library emerges from the glass with seemingly endless layers of high-toned red fruits, anise, orange peel and cinnamon. Powerful, rich, but never heavy, the Library is simply dazzling. Given the extensive Turley lineup, I imagine most readers have a hard time choosing which wines to buy, but for my money, the Library has to be at the top of the list. On a more sober note, I am told the city of St. Helena may be taking this parcel back to use for civic projects. In my view, it would be tragic to
Current Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Martha's Vineyard barely hints at eucalyptus on the nose, with much more emphasis given to black cherries and cassis. This is full-bodied and rich, nicely balancing richness and texture against linear shape and focus and picking up hints of blueberries and spice on the long, mouthwatering finish. With 112 barrels having been bottled, there's a fair bit of this wine to go around, if one can afford it. (JC)" (05/2022)
Current Bid: $575.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis 1er Cru "Vaulorent" ((92-94JM), 94RP, 93BH, 93JS, 91VN). Wine Advocate: "Cropped at a mere 34 hectoliters per hectare, the 2019 Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent is superb, unwinding in the glass with notes of citrus oil, crisp green orchard fruit, white peach, iodine and pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with racy acids and a long, iodine-inflected finish, it's the most complete premier cru in the range. I left my tasting with Didier Séguier wondering if the 2019s might be the best vintage I've ever tasted at Domaine William Fèvre. At this address, the vintage's low yields have translated to wines of remarkable concentration, but Séguier has also achieved levels of cut and tension that are rare in contemporary Chablis. My only reservation (if one can call it that) is that these are serious, structured wines that are tightly wound and introverted after their recent bottling, a tendency no doubt amplified b
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2019 Dr. Loosen Erdener Treppchen Riesling Alte Reben Grosses Gewächs Mosel (97RP, 96JS). Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Erdener Treppchen Riesling GG Alte Reben comes from two very old plots adjacent the Prälat (the upper part of the former original Treppchen and the lower Herzlay) that have never been replanted since long before World War I. It shows a clear, intense yet subtle and deep, highly complex but also refined bouquet of very fine red slate and herbal aromas as well as perfectly clear and elegant Riesling fruits. Silky textured, highly finessed and perfectly balanced on the palate, this is a very intense and juicy, enormously long and concentrated yet finessed and mouthwatering Treppchen with the crystalline grip of broken slate and the intensity and complexity of biblical vines in a great terroir. The 2019 Treppchen is arguably the finest dry wine I have ever tasted from Ernie Loosen. Highly recommended. (SR)" (10/2020)
Current Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Progeny (O'Shaughnessy) "Reserve" Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon. According to the estate, "The 2019 cuvée rested 22 months in French oak and 24 months in bottle, reflecting Progeny’s approach to extended aging prior to release for all our wines. The dark purple color, with an opaque center, foretells a wine of enticing aromas: powerfully aromatic boysenberry, rose petal, dark-roast coffee beans, and cassis. Flavors of mixed berry compote, black cherry and graphite integrate smoothly with great length and silky tannins."
Current Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2022 Dragonette "Radian Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (96RP, 95VN). Wine Advocate: "Along with the Duvarita bottling, the 2022 Pinot Noir Radian Vineyard is a centerpiece in the Dragonette roster. It leads with a distinctly savory, wild and intensely focused nose that walks the line between angularity and harshness incredibly well. The palate is similarly laser-like and driving, exuding an attractive silkiness buttressed by an unwaveringly tensile rudder that runs through the finish. It concludes with the inward, compacted, tannin profile that continuously swells and morphs with time in the glass, never losing its palpable tension. It's one of the top expressions of Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir and will benefit from a year or so of cellaring before developing over the following decade. (ML)" (10/2024)
Current Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Ramey "Cooley Ranch" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon.
Current Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2020 Hudson Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Praise from Lisa Perrotti-Brown in Wine Advocate: "Hudson Vineyard is a name well-known to lovers of the wines of Northern California. The name is a proudly declared vineyard designation donning the labels of some of the most lauded producers, including Kistler and Kongsgaard. Set over 2, 000 acres in the Carneros AVA, Hudson Ranch is quite a sight/site to behold. For many years Lee Hudson and his wife, Cristina, were known purely as growers, assigning parcels of their 200 acres under vine to a wide variety of clients.
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard "Bailey's Branciforte Ridge" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir. From a high elevation vineyard planted with Dijon clones in 1999, and a winery that's been quietly operating since 1975, first in the Santa Cruz Mountains and since 2008 in Santa Cruz's westside winery district. The winery's tasting note: "Our 2013 has incredible depth and density compared to Pinot Noirs from other regions. There is a very rich and deep fruit component along with a lot of the earth and spice of the Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation Pinots. This wine is big and powerful but it also has elegance and complexity in its youth that comes from a perfectly farmed vineyard."
Current Bid: $32.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Vineyard 29 "Aida Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95VN). Wine Advocate: "Very deep purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Aida Estate Vineyard gives up warm cassis, black berry and black cherry notes with hints of cedar chest, black pepper, black soil and baking spices plus a waft of tapenade. Medium to full-bodied, firm and tautly built, it has a lovely ripe and coarsely grained texture with oodles of freshness giving lift to the muscular fruit. It finishes on a complex earthy note. (LPB) 96+" (12/2017)
Current Bid: $190.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Hartford Court "Seascape Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99JD, 96RP, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from a site on a panoramic ridgetop located at 1150 feet in elevation, west of the town of Occidental and facing Bodega Bay, the 2017 Chardonnay Seascape Vineyard is another magical effort from this estate and is a quintessential Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. White flowers, salty minerality, apple blossom, and tart pineapple all emerge from the glass, and it's medium to full-bodied and has a wonderful purity, bright (almost racy) acidity, and a great finish. Brought up in 42% new French oak, it shows almost no trace of its élevage, and while tight and slightly closed on the palate, it's nevertheless insanely good. Give bottles another year and enjoy over the following decade." (05/2020)
Current Bid: $52.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (97JA, 97JD, 97JS, 97WE, 97WS, 96VN, 94RP). Wine Enthusiast: "In this wine, fine and rich tannins partnerwith powerful black-plum and black-currant fruits. Densely textured while also having swathes of rich fruits, the wine shows both a firm side and one that offers total deliciousness. As it matures, both these aspects will come together. *Editors' Choice* (RV)" (03/2021)
Current Bid: $90.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 TWR (Te Whare Ra) "Clayvin Vineyard" Pinot Noir Marlborough (97JS, 97SK, 96BC). James Suckling: "Impressive and super fragrant with plenty of violets, roses, bright red cherries and a whiff of sweetly fragrant baking spices. There’s a lot happening here. This really is regal pinot with such power and succulent, tensile tannin that magically gives way, at just the right moment, to let the finish bloom softly, as if in slow motion, clouding the mouth with playfully fresh, red-cherry flavor. It really is beautiful. Drink now." (08/2019)
Current Bid: $35.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Peter Michael "Le Caprice" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96JS, 94DC, 94RP). James Suckling: "Unique aromas of ripe dark fruits with grilled seaweed, iodine and sea spray notes. Medium body, superfine tannins and bright acidity. Agile. Persistent finish. Stone and blue fruits. Counterintuitive wine." (06/2016)
Current Bid: $170.00

Bid on this bottle of 1988 Bollinger "R.D." Extra Brut Champagne (97DC, 94W&S, 92ST). Decanter: "1988 was a cool, somewhat damp year that produced extremely vivacious Champagnes. The best of these are still youthful, and this is a superb example. The wine has plenty of ripe baked apple fruit and notes of brioche, toasted hazelnut, and a suggestion of freshly ground coffee. On the palate, the freshness shines through, and there is still plenty of zip left to the bubble. This Champagne is ageing well and showing no signs of slowing down. (CC)" (04/2021)
Current Bid: $300.00

Bid on this magnum of 2022 Kistler "Laguna Ridge Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (1.5L) (99JS, 98JD, 97RP, 97VN). James Suckling: "This is full-bodied with caramel, sliced apples, pineapple and honey, plus some tarte tatin. Full and intense, but then tightens at the end with a superb finish. Dancing on my palate at the end. Love it." (06/2024)
Current Bid: $150.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 J. Thienpont "Leaf" Saint-Émilion (94JS). James Suckling: "This is a secret red that was the first non-commerical release from L’If, the St Emilion estate of the owner of Pomerol’s famous Le Pin. It is very opulent with layers of ripe tannins and blue fruit with underlying candied walnuts and coffee. Black licorice, too. It’s full-bodied and very rich and flavorful. Nicely soft. Delicious now, but will be even better in a year or two." (02/2021)
Current Bid: $62.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2020 Le Clarence de Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (96JS, (93-95WE), 94JD, 93DC, 93JA, 92RP, 91VN). James Suckling: "Aromas of blackcurrants and blueberries. Lots of stones, too. Full-bodied and chewy with plenty of crushed cement. Chewy finish. Medium at the end. " (03/2023)

Bid on this bottle of 1998 Henschke "Hill of Grace" Shiraz Eden Valley South Australia (97RP, 96JH, 96ST, 95W&S, 94WE, 93JS, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "It is hard to find a more compelling red than Henschke’s 1998 Shiraz Hill of Grace. Made from 100% Shiraz (from vines averaging 52-144 years of age), and aged in primarily new American and French oak for 18 months, it is unquestionably profound. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by a gorgeous perfume of blackberries, graphite, and subtle wood. Dense and full-bodied yet extraordinarily well-defined and layered, it remains young and backward, with tremendous potential. It is the finest Hill of Grace I have ever passed over my palate and down the gullet. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2020+. (RP)" (08/2003)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Rhys "Bearwallow Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (93BH, 93JG, 93ST, 92RP). Burghound: "A ripe, spicy and quite densely fruited nose speaks of a pretty mix of both red and blue Pinot fruit along with background hints of cassis. The restrained intense and strikingly well-detailed medium-bodied flavors possess an abundance of mouth coating extract that buffers the firm tannic spine on the impressively complex, long and exquisitely balanced finish. *Outstanding* (AM)" (10/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Edward Lewis "Pretty Woman" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "My favorite of the trio was the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Pretty Woman, which includes 5% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot that spent 20 months in 90% new oak. This full-bodied effort offers a sexy, ripe, layered style that still has considerable purity and elegance. Revealing notes of both red and black fruits intermixed with plenty of crème caramel, dried flowers, and spice, it’s a brilliant, multi-dimensional 2016 that will drink well for two decades." Bid on this bottle of 2016 Le Macchiole "Paleo" Rosso Toscana (98JD, 98VN, 97KO, 97RP, 96DC, 95JS, 93WS). Vinous: "A wine of breathtaking beauty, the 2016 Paleo Rosso possesses off the charts vertical intensity. Sweet floral and spiced notes soar out of the glass in a stunning wine endowed with fabulous depth in all of its dimensions. Cedar, mocha, rose petal, red plum and menthol are bright and beautifully sculpted. Paleo Rosso shows just how profound Cabernet Franc can be on the Tuscan Coast. This is a superb edition of the wine that, in my view, is the Macchiole flagship. The 2016 saw 30-35 days on the skins, followed by malolactic fermentation in cement and 18 months in French oak. Bid on this bottle of 2022 Saxum "Broken Stones" Willow Creek District Rhone Blend (97JD, 97TWI, 95WS, 94DC). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the more structured, inward 2022s from Smith and a wine that's going to benefit from short-term cellaring, the 2022 Broken Stones checks in as 66% Syrah, 13% Graciano, 11% Zinfandel, and the rest Grenache. It takes some coaxing but slowly gives up wonderfully pure red and black fruits interwoven with classic peppery herbs, violets, savory spice, and floral nuances. Beautifully textured and medium to full-bodied, with just about perfect tannins, it needs to be hidden for 3-4 years but is one hell of an impressive wine." (08/2024)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2021 Amici "Charles Heintz Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (97JS, 94JD). James Suckling: "Wonderful ginger, lemon zest and lemon blossom aromas follow through to a full-bodied palate with an intensity and spiciness, with superb depth and length. Hints of vanilla and brioche to the lovely fruit. The real deal and really shows the character of this vineyard. Drink or hold." (02/2023)

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Dufort Vivens, Margaux ((95-97WE), 96RP, 95JS, 93VN). Wine Enthusiast: "Maturing in two-thirds barrels and one-third amphorae, this wine is already beautiful. Made from 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, it shows a fine balance between dense tannins and elegant, ripe black fruit. The promise for this biodynamic wine is immense and certainly long-term. (RV)"

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 100RP, 98JS, 94DC, 94VN, 94W&S). Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored with a lingering hint of purple, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with provocative notions of warm cassis, blueberry compote, blackberry pie and violets with chocolate box, licorice and menthol nuances plus wafts of wilted roses, lavender and kirsch. Medium-bodied, the intensely perfumed black and blue fruit flavors glide gracefully across the palate, revealing a myriad of earth and spice accents, all framed beautifully with super ripe, fine-grained tannins and invigorating freshness, finishing very, very long. Wow. (LPB)" (08/2018)
