Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2017 Tor Kenward Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 91VN). Wine Advocate: "This is the first time TOR has made a barrel selection from their Oakville vineyards, predominantly Tierra Roja in Oakville East. It is composed of barrels selected to reveal the "red-fruited, softer, juicier side of the Tierra Roja vineyard". Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with open-knit notes of warm red and black plums, kirsch and cassis with wafts of bay leaves, tar, underbrush and tilled soil. Medium-bodied, the palate has bold freshness and a firm frame of chewy tannins with a core of evocative, crunchy red and black fruits, finishing long and earthy. (LPB) 92+" (10/2019)
Current Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 1977 Clos du Val "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L). Founded in 1972 by John Goelet and French winemaker Bernard Portet, Clos du Val quickly earned global acclaim when its debut Cabernet Sauvignon competed in the legendary 1976 Judgment of Paris. Located in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, the winery was established with a vision to craft Bordeaux-style wines in California’s cooler microclimates. Portet selected the site for its evening temperature drops, ideal for preserving freshness and balance. Today, Clos du Val remains family-owned, farming estate vineyards in both Stags Leap and Yountville.
Current Bid: $500.00

Bid on this bottle of 1982 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (100DC, 100JA, 100JD, 100JG, 100RP, 100VN, 98WS). Vinous: "Another dazzling wine, the 1982 Pichon Lalande is utterly profound from the very first taste. In the glass, the 1982 is powerful and explosive, with seemingly endless layers of flavor that continue to unfurl over time. Vivid, intensely aromatic and seamless, the 1982 has enough pedigree and depth to drink well for at least several decades. What a wine! (AG)" (06/2017)
Starting Bid: $680.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Continuum Oakville Bordeaux Blend (99TWI, 98VN, 97JD, 97RP, 94WS). The Wine Independent: "A blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Cabernet Franc, 9% Petit Verdot, and 6% Merlot, with all the fruit estate grown from Sage Mountain Vineyard on Pritchard Hill, the 2018 Continuum has a deep garnet-purple color. It needs a lot of swirling before bright red fruit, floral notes, tea, and cassis come through, plus wild sage and crushed rocks. Full-bodied and firm, the palate has amazing tension, with fine-grained tannins, and is very minerally and tightly knit, with a long finish. It needs time! (LPB)" (06/2023)
Current Bid: $460.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Brilliant Mistake "Beckstoffer Georges III" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 96RP, 95DC). Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from an iconic vineyard in Rutherford, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon G3 is all varietal and spent 20 months in French oak. It’s always a darker, full-bodied wine and gives up lots of chocolate covered currants, tobacco, espresso, and herbal notes in a balanced, textured, seamless package. As with all these 2019s from Brilliant Mistake, it’s well worth seeking out." (03/2022)
Current Bid: $362.50

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Antinori "Guado al Tasso" Bolgheri Superiore (97JS, 96RP, 95DC, 95VN, 94IWR, 94WS, 93WE, 92W&S). James Suckling: "This is a very sleek and racy wine with lots of stone, white pepper and fresh rosemary character. Then takes off with dried ripe fruits such as currants and blueberries. Dark chocolate too. This a real mouthful yet remains agile and powerful. Linear and long finish. Great precision. Best ever from Guado al Tasso?" (07/2016)
Current Bid: $226.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Donelan "Obsidian Vineyard" Knights Valley Syrah (100JD, 99RP, 97VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2013 Syrah Obsidian Vineyard is an utterly perfect wine and just couldn’t get any better. Possessing a huge, singular perfume of blueberries, bacon fat, charcoal, pepper, and woodsmoke, it’s deep, layered, and multi-dimensional on the palate, with full-bodied richness, perfectly ripe tannin, perfect balance, and a finish that just won’t quit. Syrah lovers need to beg, borrow, or steal to get a bottle of this!" (06/2018)
Current Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Dalla Valle & Ornellaia "DVO" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99JD, 98DC, 97JS) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "I was blown away by the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon DVO, a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc made as a collaboration between the team at Dalla Valle and Ornellaia. Remarkable notes of red and black currants, spring flowers, lead pencil, loamy earth, and classy oak all emerge from this young yet amazingly balanced, seamless Cabernet. Full-bodied on the palate and perfectly balanced, with silky tannins, it will probably be as good as it gets with 7-8 years of bottle age and is a magical Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that will evolve for 30 years or more." (03/2022)
Current Bid: $630.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore (96DC, 94JS, 93RP, 92WS). Decanter: "This wine is a blend of 70 per cent Corvina with 20 per cent Rondinella and just 5 per cent each of Croatina and Oseleta. It’s deep black-red in colour, and is dark and forceful, sombre yet voluptuous in aroma: a harmonious weave of black chocolate, sloe and elderberry, with the years in oak bringing a cedary refinement. On the palate, it’s a vault of a wine: deep, dark and roomy, packed with earthy refinements and black-fruited echoes, both severe yet soft and enticing too. The tannins are ample yet fine-grained, the acidity delicate and sustaining. I wrote about the ‘crocodilian’ character of grand Veneto dried-fruit reds wine back in April, but the teeth are polished ivory here. This is horizon-altering ‘Valpolicella’ which would perform outstandingly in any Amarone tasting. (AJ)" (06/2017)
Current Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2016 Arrowood "Vales Edge" Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91VN), 2-bottles of 2017 Arrowood "Vales Edge" Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2-bottles of 2018 Arrowood "Vales Edge" Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Of the 2016 Arrowood "Vales Edge" Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Vinous writes: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Vales Edge emerges from a site in Alexander Valley at 450 feet above sea level. Dried flowers, spice, menthol and licorice give the 2016 lovely aromatic presence to match its mid-weight personality. (AG)" (01/2021)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this magnum of 2018 Williams Selyem "Allen Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (1.5L) (93RP, 93WE). Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Chardonnay Allen Vineyard has delicate aromas of cheese rind, flint, white blossoms, beeswax and pears. The palate is light-bodied and mineral-driven with tangy acidity and a long, juicy finish. This could use another year or two in bottle. (EB)" (09/2020)
Current Bid: $97.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2021 La Pelle "Bien Nacido - Block X" Santa Maria Valley Syrah. Lisa Perrotti-Brown of Wine Advocate writes: "La Pelle—"the shovel" in French—is a collaboration started in 2016 between Silverado Farming Company (SFC) and Maayan Koschitzky, a talented young winemaker working with Philippe Melka, one of Napa’s top wine consultants."
Current Bid: $122.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Isole e Olena "Cepparello" Toscana (96RP, 93ST, 91WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cepparello comes across as rich, round and totally seductive in this tasting. Stylistically, it shares many attributes with the 1990 and 1997, although in my view it is more elegant than those wines. There is an immediacy about the 2007 that is highly appealing, and which will make the wine accessible relatively early. Layers of fruit build beautifully to an exciting crescendo of aromas and flavors. This is an undeniably sexy Cepparello. (AG)" (06/2012)
Current Bid: $190.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Favia Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 96JS, 96TWI, 96VN, 95WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "In the same ballpark, yet in a richer, more flamboyant style, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville boasts a deep purple color as well as tons of cassis and blackberry fruits intermixed with lots of leafy herbs, tobacco, and a Graves-like gravelly minerality. With full body, building tannins, and a layered, concentrated style, drink it any time over the coming 20-25 years." (01/2019)
Current Bid: $235.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Myriad "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard - Elysian" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 96RP, 94VN, 94WS, 92JS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The flagship is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Elysian and it's a barrel selection made by Mike chosen with the goal of the most seamless expression of the vineyard. It offers insane notes of crème de cassis, licorice, blackberries, violets and hints of toasty oak. Full-bodied, beautifully balanced, ultra-fine and pure, with terrific tannin, it's another great, great wine from Mike that's going to evolve for 25+ years." (12/2017)
Current Bid: $360.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Memento Mori Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 95JD). Wine Advocate: "A decadent blend of fruit from Beckstoffer Dr. Crane, Beckstoffer Las Piedras, Oakville Ranch and Weitz vineyards, aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon has a very deep purple-black color and gorgeous nose of exotic spices and incense notions—cinnamon stick, cloves, star anise, fenugreek and sandalwood—with a cassis and plum preserves core, plus hints of cigar box and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is rich and opulent, with seductively velvety tannins and invigorating freshness, finishing very long with provocative earthy suggestions coming through. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Current Bid: $430.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 98RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Materium comes from the Weitz Vineyard in Oakville and is all Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in mostly new barrels. It's a very different wine than the Amoenus release and has more elegant, seamless aromas and flavors of crème de cassis, black raspberries, tobacco leaf, flowery incense, and sandalwood. Château Margaux-like in its elegance and complexity, this brilliant wine has loads of sweet fruit, flawless integration of its tannins and acidity, flawless balance, and just a heavenly overall profile that I wish every reader could taste." (01/2021)
Current Bid: $495.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Boich Family "NVS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon NVS is rock solid and, as far as Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon goes, a terrific value. Giving up a juicy Cabernet nose of darker fruits, cassis, chocolate, tobacco, and just a hint of flowers, it’s medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and a forward, undeniably delicious style perfect for drinking over the coming decade. There are just 375 cases made." (05/2022)
Current Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99IWR, 99RP, 98JD, 97JS, 97VN). Wine Advocate: "Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard has a deep garnet-purple color, requiring a little coaxing before it spills out of the glass with fantastically showy blackberry preserves, boysenberries and cassis notes, plus hints of black raspberries, clove oil and potpourri, with a touch of tobacco leaf. The decadent, full-bodied palate sports a firm backbone of ripe, grainy tannins with beautiful freshness. All that generous black fruit melds seamlessly into a very long, mineral-laced finish. (LPB)" (09/2021)
Current Bid: $805.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Plumpjack Napa Valley Merlot (93VN, 91JS, 90JD, 90RP). Vinous: "The 2015 Merlot is gorgeous. Soft, open-knit and radiant, the 2015 is all class. Super-ripe red cherry, plum, mocha and espresso resonate beautifully in this lush Merlot that will provide immense pleasure pretty much upon release. Expressive aromatics complement the wine's textural resonance and enveloping personality beautifully. This luscious, bold Merlot is first class all the way. (AG)" (03/2018)
Current Bid: $75.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Paul Hobbs Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94JS, 93RP, 93VN, 91WS). James Suckling: "Intense aromas of blueberries and blackcurrants with black licorice. Full to medium body, dusty and horizontal tannins and a flavorful finish. Precise." (05/2019)
Current Bid: $145.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Patria "Avoyelles" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (98JD, 96RP, 96VN, 94JS). Jeb Dunnuck: "A magical wine in every sense, the 2018 Avoyelles Oakville Ranch checks in as 48% Cabernet Franc, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Petit Verdot. More expressive than the A. Price Vineyard (which should be expected, given the difference in the blends), is has a beautiful perfume of crème de cassis, red currants, toasted spice, graphite, and dried flowers, with a touch of tobacco and earth developing with time in the glass. Hitting the palate with full-bodied richness, it has a layered, multi-dimensional texture, incredible tannins, and a great, great finish." (01/2021)
Current Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Siro Pacenti "Pelagrilli" Brunello di Montalcino (96JS, 95RP, 94VN, 94WS, 91WE). James Suckling: "Such lovely aromas of flowers and red fruit with some cedar and spice. Hot terra cotta. Full-bodied, very round and soft textured with beautiful fruit and balance. Fresh and vivid. Such balance and beauty." (07/2019)

Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Franc has a wonderful perfume of roses, black and red cherries, mulberries and forest floor with pencil lead, baking spices and rose hip tea. The medium to full-bodied palate is elegant, plush, super intense and perfumed, finishing very long with mineral hints. (LPB)" (12/2018)
Current Bid: $220.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Saxum ''James Berry Vineyard'' Paso Robles White Blend (94VN, 93JD, 91RP). Vinous: "Glistening straw-yellow. Intensely perfumed pear, lemon pith, white flowers and succulent herb aromas pick up a chalky mineral element with air. Chewy and tightly focused on the palate, offering concentrated, mineral-laced citrus and orchard fruit and honeysuckle flavors that show superb clarity and spicy back-end cut. Finishes on a sappy pear nectar note, showing sharp delineation and superb, floral-driven tenacity. (JR)" (02/2020)
Current Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Robert Craig "Affinity" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN, 91RP). Vinous: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Affinity is pliant, racy and super-expressive. A burst of red cherry fruit, blood orange, spice, menthol and licorice give this boisterous blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec tons of appeal. Soft contours and silky tannins add to its considerable appeal. This red blend from vineyards in Coombsville is terrific. (AG)" (01/2022)
Current Bid: $105.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Domaine Philippe Colin Chevalier Montrachet (95RP, 94WS, 92ST). Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. I must have severely under-estimated the 2012 Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru from Philippe Colin for it put in a stellar performance in blind conditions. It has a quite brilliant bouquet that is beautifully defined, subtle flint and dandelion, stunning focus and tension. The palate is extremely well balanced with just the right amount of bitter lemon that is lending nervosité throughout this wine. It is nuanced and subtle, gradually building in intensity towards a compelling saline finish that will urge you take another sip. This is fabulous and my score stands corrected." (10/2015)
Current Bid: $327.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1983 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN, 91WS). Vinous: "The 1983 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is one of the softest, most inviting wines in this tasting. Here it is the wine's pure texture and layers of fruit that stand out most. Leather, menthol and smoke all add nuance on the close as the wine continues to come together with time in the glass. (AG)" (02/2014)
Current Bid: $410.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (98WS, 97RP, 96DC, (94-96VN), 95JD, 93JS). Wine Spectator: "This offers a drop-dead gorgeous core of cassis and raspberry pâte de fruit flavors that hold center stage but still allow notes of Lapsang souchong tea, anise, incense and shiso leaf to chime in. Very long, with a sublime feel through the mineral-tinged finish. So seductive already, but this should cruise in the cellar. *Collectible, Ranked #14, Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2017* (JM)" (11/2017)
Current Bid: $245.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 The Mascot Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend. The Mascot is a wine that originated as an experimental blend made by the Harlan family of Screaming Eagle and shared exclusively with their friends and family. Crafted by Will Harlan from younger blocks of vines at Harlan, Promontory, and BOND, this wine offers a taste of Napa's most elite estates for a fraction of the price you would pay for the flagship wines. Winemaker's Notes: "This cabernet is a hedonistic blend of power and balance; expressive and approachable early in its life, with potential to evolve well into the future. Ready to drink upon release, it will age for decades given the opportunity. Made from the younger vines of Harlan Estate, BOND, and Promontory, The Mascot shares a unique glimpse into the evolution of our winegrowing estates."
Current Bid: $350.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Pavie-Macquin, St-Émilion (OWC - 98IWR, 98JA, 98JD, 97JS, 97TWI, 97VN, 96RP, 96WE, 95DC, 95WS) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "This deep, inky-colored effort boasts a rock star bouquet of blackcurrants, black cherries, white truffle, graphite, and spice. Deep, rich, and powerful on the palate, yet also balanced, elegant, and seamless, with ultra-fine tannins, this seamless beauty needs a decade of cellaring and will keep for 4-5 decades. (JD) 98+ " (02/2019)
Current Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (96WE, 94JS, 93ST, 93VN, 92DC, 92JD, 92RP, 91WS). Wine Enthusiast: "A dense, beautifully structured wine. It shows intense, ripe fruit with balanced acidity. It’s the fine tannins that give it such class, surrounding the fruit, promising long aging. This is a classic for Léoville-Barton. *Top 100 Cellar Selections of 2011* (RV)" (04/2011)
Current Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2022 Domaine Jean Foillard "Cuvée Corcelette" Morgon (92VN). Vinous: "The 2022 Morgon Cuvée Corcelette has a crisp and delineated bouquet brimming with energy. Lively red fruit seems to leap from the glass. The palate is beautifully built, svelte tannins matched with a silver bead of acidity, very harmonious with a lightly spiced and persistent finish. This has a bit of Liam-Gallagher-like swagger about it—nothing wrong with that in my book. (NM)" (04/2024)
Current Bid: $201.00

Bid on this magnum of 1985 Silver Oak "Bonny's Vineyard" Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (94RP). Wine Advocate: "The Bonny's Vineyard, which can be a controversial wine given its overt herbaceousness in some vintages, exhibited a subtle Provencal herb character dominated by lavish quantities of sweet, jammy black fruit, all of which was complemented by plenty of smoky, toasty American oak. Lush, opulent, and voluptuous, with an exotic, flamboyant personality, this fully mature wine shows no signs of decline. It is well-balanced, and so crammed with fruit that it should age for another 10-15 years. (RP)" (04/1995)
Current Bid: $227.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Montepeloso "Nardo" Toscana (97VN, 96JS, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2016 Nardo is distinguished by a whole range of floral, savory and blood orange notes that give the wine striking aromatic brightness and perfume. Powerful and dense on the palate, with tremendous structure, the 2016 is incredibly racy today. Even with all of its richness, Nardo remains so precise and finely cut, with a real sense of saline-infused energy that drives the flavors. It is simply stunning. Wow! (AG)" (03/2020)
Starting Bid: $285.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Odette Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 95RP, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "The deep purple-black colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is blended of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 4% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot. It's beautifully perfumed with fragrant earth, lavender, oolong tea and chocolate-covered cherries with a core of warm cassis, crushed wild blueberries plus a compelling waft of roses. The full-bodied palate has a firm yet somehow wonderfully elegant frame thanks to super ripe, super fine-grained tannins and background freshness supporting the perfumed black fruit layers, leading to a very long finish. (LPB) 95+" (10/2018)
Current Bid: $336.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Zeitgeist "The Grove" St Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 94RP, 93VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The tiny production 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon The Grove comes all from the Lewelling Vineyard on the western side of St. Helena and it’s another awesome wine from winemaker Jennifer Williams. Sporting an inky color and attractive notes of cassis, incense, spice-box and tobacco, it’s full-bodied, opulent, and has building tannin. " (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Tor Kenward "Chasing Windmills - Fulldraw Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhone Blend (91RP). Wine Advocate: "A new wine, the 2019 Chasing Windmills Fulldraw Vineyard was made and bottled in Paso Robles. A blend of 59% Syrah and 41% Grenache, aged in 20% new French oak (mainly puncheons), it offers up scents of asphalt, crushed stone, black olives, ripe cherries and espresso. Full-bodied and not particularly tannic, it's supple across the palate, then tart and mouthwatering on the finish. (JC)" (05/2022)
Starting Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 5-half-bottle lot of 1998 Mendelson Napa Valley Muscat Canelli Dessert Wine (375ml) (91WS). Wine Spectator: Sweet. Wonderful, spicy varietal character, with spice, spice and more spice, also ginger, orange peel, pear, anise and floral notes. Quite distinctive. (JL) (06/2000)
Starting Bid: $67.50

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1993 Kenwood "Artist Series" Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91WE, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Leaner in profile and not quite as deep as the 1992, but nicely structured and attractive. This has a slightly more Bordeaux-like feel and balance and displays a cherry, earth, tobacco and herb bouquet. Blueberry, plum and espresso show on the even, smooth palate. It closes long with soft, ripe tannins and the herb notes atop the dark fruit. " (04/2002)
Current Bid: $108.00

Bid on this bottle of 1975 d'Yquem, Sauternes (99RP, 98VN, 96DC, 96JG). Wine Advocate: "Deep gold in color, the 1975 d'Yquem gives up initial notes of cashew butter, manuka honey, dried apricots, musk perfume and fallen leaves over a core of spice cake, applesauce, fungi and lemongrass. The palate is laden with bright, vibrant stone fruit and preserved citrus fruit flavors, laced with honey-nut accents and finishing provocatively earthy. While intense and hedonically satisfying, this beguiling vintage has so many nuances emerging as it unfurls, it stops you in your tracks. Make sure it is the very last wine of the evening, because once you taste this, everything else will pale into insignificance. Although this wine is currently well within its ideal drinking window, there's certainly no rush to drink well-preserved bottles. (LPB)" (08/2019)
Current Bid: $626.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Beekeeper "Montecillo Vineyard" Sonoma County Zinfandel (97CG, 95RP, 94JD, 94WE). Connoisseurs Guide: "Zinfandel is rarely the recipient of the kind of swollen prose and lofty scores that are routinely thrown Cabernet Sauvignon's way, but we suspect that even the fussiest collector of trophy wines will rethink their opinion of the variety when met with an example as deep and wonderfully well-crafted as the latest Beekeeper is. While very rich and long on exceptionally pure varietal fruit, the wine is already showing uncommon finesse and tailoring, and it is destined to age famously and grow ever more involving over the course of the next five to ten years. It is most definitely a "keeper" and deserves a place in the cellar of every serious Zinfandel devotee." (01/2019)
Current Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino (99JS, 96RP, 95VN, 95WS, 94DC). James Suckling: "Wonderful aromas of roses and sliced plums with wet earth and truffles. Then turns to raspberries and blackberries. Cherries, too. Full and firm with super integrated tannins that melt into the wine. It flows from the center palate in a beautiful sheet of fruit and tannins. Extremely long and coated with great finesse. Goes on for minutes." (10/2019)
Current Bid: $182.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1982 Gruaud Larose, St-Julien (96RP, 96VN, 94JG, 94WS). Vinous: "The 1982 Gruaud Larose has long been a “winner” in this competitive vintage. Gorgeous scents of sloes, loam, leather and wild heather emerge and become more minty as this wine unfurls in the glass. There is just a patina of Brettanomyces in this 1982, but like a dozen or so previous bottles, I have not found it detracts from overall olfactory pleasure. The palate is just as irresistible as the aromatics. With lovely balance and slightly grainy tannins, this bottle is perhaps slightly more youthful than others. It is very focused with sage and bay leaf mixed with black fruit towards the finish, tobacco and graphite combining wonderfully towards the finish. Superb. (NM)" (11/2023)
Current Bid: $551.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine du Gros Noré Bandol. Bandol sprawls across eight limestone-rich communes just inland from the French Riviera—most famously Le Beausset, La Cadière-d’Azur, Le Castellet, and Évenos—where vines now vie with resorts and golf fairways for premium coastal hillsides. Reds and rosés built on at least 50 % sun-seeking Mourvèdre (rounded by Grenache and Cinsault) give dense, spicy, earthy expressions. Terraced slopes, shielded from mistral blasts by the Sainte-Baume and Saint-Cyr ranges yet fanned by Mediterranean breezes, deliver the heat Mourvèdre craves without forfeiting freshness.

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2004 Simi "Landslide" Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 1-bottle of 2006 Parallel Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WE, 91VN), 1-bottle of 2008 Chiarello Family Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Eileen (92WS), and 1-bottle of 2008 Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon Single Vineyard Alexander's Crown Vineyard (93WS). Of the 2006 Parallel Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Enthusiast writes: "A 100% Cabernet aged in 100% new French oak, grown in the warmer Conn Valley region east of the Silverado Trail. The wood contributes layers of toast and caramel, while the underlying wine is massive, with tiers of blackberries, black cherries, black currants, red currants, cedar and spices. Very dramatic and beautiful, but needs time. *Cellar Selection*" (08/2010)

Bid on this bottle of 2021 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JA, 99JS, 98TWI, 97JD, 97VN, 95WS). Jane Anson: "A classical vintage that perfectly suits the Opus style. Gorgeous vivid plum colour, sculpted, balanced, with a ton of lift, waves of rose petals, iris and peony, soft grilled cumin, sage and white pepper spice. Love the hidden power here and the supple slightly chalky tannins that are structured in their architecture with a precision and carved quality. Precise, layered and stretched out, a brilliant Opus, concentrated and yet delicate. Feels pared back and captures the spirit of early Opus, when it moved forward the conversation of what Napa could be. Michael Silacci director, 100% new oak for ageing extremely well integrated even now. " (08/2024)

Bid on this bottle of 2019 San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri (100DC, 99JS, 99KO, 98JD, 98RP, 98WS, 94VN). Decanter: "Sassicaia 2019 spent 25 months in oak (one-third new). ‘We are going longer in oak in the past few years, ’ said Carlo Paoli, managing director of Tenuta San Guido. Quite pale in the glass, the nose is extremely graceful and intense with a lavender note enhanced by restrained bramble fruits, fermented citrus peel, an intense violet aroma and graphite minerality in depth. The attack is soft and full, the flavor savoury and cedary through to the finish, with integrated velvety tannins and lifted acidity. A perfectly woven structure is bound with signature freshness and fruit vibrancy, making this one for the long haul. (AF)" (02/2022)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Paul Jaboulet Aîné "La Chapelle" Hermitage (100RP, 98JD, 98JS, 97WS, 96DC, 96VN). Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Hermitage La Chapelle lived up to its reputation on this occasion, and of the three titans (1990, 1978 and 1961), it was probably my favorite. Still inky colored and ruby at the rim, it offers an absolutely profound bouquet of sweet cassis, smoked meats, chocolate, licorice and spice. This is followed by a full-bodied, insanely textured, pure and hedonistic palate that has that perfect mix of still-vibrant fruit and ample secondary nuances. I suspect the '61 was even richer at this stage, but the overall purity and freshness here are incredible. It will continue to evolve for decades, but I'd happily open bottles today. (JD)" (09/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Gaja Barbaresco (96KO, 96VN, 94DC, 94JS, 93RP, 93WS). Vinous: "The 2013 Barbaresco is fabulous. In fact, this is one of the best Barbarescos I have tasted at Gaja in many years. Vibrant, perfumed and beautifully sculpted in the glass, the 2013 possesses tons of understated intensity. Sweet red cherry, mint, white pepper and anise are all lifted in the glass. The 2013 is an almost shockingly classic Barbaresco from Gaja. The translucent color, vibrant Nebbiolo fruit and austere but noble tannins represent a move towards a much more traditional style. For readers who can find it, the 2013 is simply a must-have wine.
