Bid on this bottle of 2015 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Cherbaudes" Vieille Vigne ((91-93BH), (92-93JG), (91-93VN), (90-92RP)). Vinous: "Healthy full red. Cherry and boysenberry fruit aromas are lifted by rose petal and violet, with a gamey nuance adding complexity. Silky on entry, with its cherry and raspberry flavors enlivened by pungent minerality. In a distinctly rocky yet smooth style, like a baby Griottes. (ST)" (01/2017)
Current Bid: $205.00

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Diamond Mountain Vineyard Diamond Mountain Merlot. Diamond Mountain Vineyard, established in 1995 in Napa's Diamond Mountain District AVA, sits at an elevation of 2, 200 feet, benefiting from volcanic soils and a cooler microclimate. Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2020 Williams Selyem Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (96WE, 92JD, 90BH) and 2-bottles of 2020 Williams Selyem Sonoma County Pinot Noir (92JD, 92WE, 90BH). Of the 2020 Williams Selyem Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Wine Enthusiast writes: "Deliciously fresh and lively from start to finish, this wine shows exceptional balance, elegance and complexity, a stunning showcase for the appellation in a challenging and warm vintage. Baking spice, forest and citrus play around light, focused layers of tangy strawberry and cherry with just enough richness to enthrall. (VB)" (09/2022)
Current Bid: $175.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Dujac Romanée St. Vivant Grand Cru (97VN, 96BH). Vinous: "The 2009 Romanée St. Vivant has come together beautifully since I tasted it last year. Sweet red cherries, roses, mint and orange peel float on the palate in this sensual, utterly beguiling wine. This is an effortless, gracious Burgundy of the highest level. The 2009 character comes through in spades, but there is something about the Romanée St. Vivant that transcends vintage. Call it the utmost in classicism. The Romanée St. Vivant can be slow out of the gate, but once it starts blossoming in bottle it is truly majestic. Readers lucky enough to find the 2009 are in for a treat. (Drink between 2024-2044) (AG)" (04/2012)
Current Bid: $2,452.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2017 Tor Kenward Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 91VN). Wine Advocate: "This is the first time TOR has made a barrel selection from their Oakville vineyards, predominantly Tierra Roja in Oakville East. It is composed of barrels selected to reveal the "red-fruited, softer, juicier side of the Tierra Roja vineyard". Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon comes sashaying out of the glass with open-knit notes of warm red and black plums, kirsch and cassis with wafts of bay leaves, tar, underbrush and tilled soil. Medium-bodied, the palate has bold freshness and a firm frame of chewy tannins with a core of evocative, crunchy red and black fruits, finishing long and earthy. (LPB) 92+" (10/2019)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru "Vaillons" (94DC, 92BH, 92JG, 92JM, 92RP, 92VN, 91ST). Decanter: "Warm vintage, warm terroir, the 2015 Vaillons has aromas of ripe apple, quince and apricot, with notes of acacia flowers. The ripe flavours continue on the palate as they unfold, with hints of butter and cream touched with honey. The texture is plump, generous and accessible now, although it is in no way heavy. The grapes come from the lieux-dits Chatains and Beugnons, which are part of Vaillons (as is Séchet), but the soil is deeper here and the grapes ripen sooner, which is why Dauvissat bottles them separately. (CC)" (06/2025)
Current Bid: $126.00

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Domaine Hubert Lignier Clos de la Roche Grand Cru ((96-99JM), 98DC, (96-98VN), (95-97RP), (92-95BH)). Jasper Morris: " The main bottling of Clos de la Roche comes from plots in Monts Luisants (2/3) and Fremières (1/3) The colour impresses with its deep core of crimson purple. There is a very light reduction to the nose before the raspberries start to come out with aeration. This is gorgeously sensual on the palate, and ticks all the boxes: elegance/finesse/density/ freshness. It will be very hard to beat this!" (11/2020)
Current Bid: $450.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage (Library Release) (100JD, 99RP, 98WS, 97VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "As good as Hermitage can get, the 2015 Hermitage from Jean-Louis Chave reminds me of a hypothetical mix of the 2010 and 1990 with its incredible purity, finesse, and elegant paired with awesome depth and structure. This heavenly wine exhibits a deep purple color as well as a powerful bouquet of crème de cassis, blackberries, dried violets, graphite, and crushed rocks, with a liquid mineral component that’s just about impossible to find outside of the Bessards lieu-dit in Hermitage. Full-bodied and massively concentrated on the palate, yet with laser-like precision and clarity, it needs a solid decade of cellaring and will keep for 40+ years or more. It’s not as sexy or overt as the Cuvee Cathelin, but is every bit as good." (12/2018)
Current Bid: $370.00

Bid on this bottle of 1983 d'Yquem, Sauternes (98WS, 96RP, 96VN, 94JG). Wine Spectator: "Super-intense and full-throttled, elegant and stylish. Dark amber in color and rich in complexity, this '83 coats your mouth with butterscotch, dried apricot, fig and spice flavors. *Ranked #9 Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines of 1988, cellar selection* " (04/1995)
Current Bid: $367.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Boars' View (Schrader) "The Coast" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (95JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "I can't decide if I like the 2018 or the 2016 more, but both are brilliant wines. The 2018 Chardonnay The Coast has a slightly fresher, more vibrant style while still being packed with ripe peach, apricot, honeysuckle, and brioche aromas and flavors. Despite being brought up in new barrels, it's soaked up the élevage beautifully and is balanced and full-bodied, with terrific freshness and a big finish. It should drink well a decade or more." (05/2020)
Starting Bid: $345.00

Bid on this magnum of 2019 Kinsman Eades "La Voleuse du Chagrin" Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 97JD, 97RP, 97VN, 96WS) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon La Voleuse du Chagrin emerges from a block of Eisele Clone Cabernet on St. George rootstock on a tiny sliver of vineyard that was one part of Eisele. For that reason, I am not surprised to see that the 2019 has shut down a bit post-bottling. Dark and resonant in the glass, the 2019 exudes class and sensuality, with its energy pretty much buried by the fruit. Production is tiny, so I can only hope to revisit in another few years' time. From barrel, it was one of the most impressive wines I tasted in a morning full of great Cabernets. (AG) 97+" (02/2023)
Current Bid: $600.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2018 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 97JS, (94-97VN), 94WS), 1-bottle of 2019 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((96-98RP), 97JS, 96VN, 96WS), and 1-bottle of 2021 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99JS, 97VN, 96RP, 94WS). Of the 2021 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, James Suckling writes: " Pie crust with brioche, lemon meringue, lime leaf, and blackboard chalk. Very aromatic. Full-bodied, with terrific structure and incredibly complex on the finish with seaweed and umami. Sea breeze, iodine and oyster finish. Superb wine. Drink or hold." (10/2022)
Current Bid: $342.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JD, 98RP, 97JS, 95VN, 94DC, 94WE). Wine Advocate: "A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot from 21 different lots from 11 different vineyards, the 2016 The Bard is very deep purple-black in color and sashays out of the glass with strikingly beautiful violets, warm cassis, star anise and chocolate mint notes with hints of wood smoke, tobacco and kirsch, with blackberry compote at the core. Full, muscular and built like a brick house with layer upon layer of black, blue and red fruits, it finishes very long and savory. (LPB)" (10/2018)
Current Bid: $610.00

Bid on this bottle of 2006 E. Guigal "La Landonne" Côte-Rôtie (97WS, 96RP, 96VN). Wine Spectator: "This is packed for the vintage, with dark bittersweet chocolate and espresso leading the way for the core of dense fig paste, hoisin sauce and mulled blackberry fruit. The long, smoky finish lets charcoal and iron notes play out, with a very grippy finish. *Collectible* (JM)" (09/2010)
Current Bid: $240.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Ferrando "Cariola" Erbaluce di Caluso (93VN). Vinous: "The 2017 Erbaluce di Caluso Cariola is rich, phenolic and wonderfully textured. Orange confit, candied apricot, chamomile and honeyed notes abound. The 2017 manages to be quite rich - almost unctuous - and yet remains translucent and full of saline energy. Both Ferrando whites are absolutely terrific. (AG)" (04/2020)
Current Bid: $15.50

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Ridge Vineyards "Frediani" Calistoga Charbono. Founded in 1962, Ridge Vineyards has become known around the world for it's outstanding estate and vineyard-designate wines. This wine is 100% Charbono. From the winery: "Charbono has a long history in the north of Napa Valley, where it was planted with (and sold as) barbera. Also known as bonarda in Argentina and corbeau in France, the official name of the grape is douce noir. Its origins are the Savoie Region of France. Charbono ripens late (at, or after cabernet sauvignon) and has supple tannins and thick skins. "
Current Bid: $77.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Antinori "Guado al Tasso" Bolgheri Superiore (98JS, 98RP, 98VN, 96DC, 96WE, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2016 Bolgheri Superiore Guado al Tasso is dark, powerful and explosive, with a huge backbone of tannin that gives the wine its vertical feel and soaring intensity. Blackberry, graphite, chocolate, spice, menthol, licorice, cedar and lavender add to the wine's brooding, intense feel. A vibrant, substantial finish rounds things out in style. Readers will have to be patient, as the 2016 is an infant, but it is utterly breathtaking, even in the early going. (AG)" (03/2020)
Current Bid: $321.00

Bid on this bottle of 2021 Fingers Crossed (Faethm) California Grenache ((97-99TWI), 98JS, 96JD, 94VN, 93RP). The Wine Independent: "The 2021 Unanswered Prayers Grenache comes from Bien Nacido, Rancho Boa Vista and Sanford & Benedict Vineyards. The composition is 76.5% Grenache with 11.3% Syrah, 5.5% Mourvèdre, 4% Petite Sirah, and a 2.7% splash of the White Wine (Chardonnay, Roussanne, and Marsanne) from this year. It was made with 42% whole clusters and aged 20 months in French oak, 38% new. Opaque purple-black colored, it leaps with bold notes of black cherries, black raspberries, and lilacs with nuances of tar, wild sage, and lavender. (LPB)" (08/2023)
Current Bid: $130.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Giacomo Conterno "Cerretta" Barolo (97JS, 96WS, 94RP, 94VN). James Suckling: "Perfumed aromas of grape skin and roses. Medium to full body, super classic and refined. Incredible finesse and length. It is so fine and gorgeous. Makes you want to drink it. Better [later] but so beautiful now." (11/2016)
Current Bid: $170.00

Bid on this bottle of David Leclapart "L'Apôtre" 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut Champagne (from a private collection) (93JG, 93VN). Vinous: " The NV (2009) Extra Brut L'Apôtre emerges from a parcel of sixty- year-old vines on clay-rich soils in Trépail. Expansive, broad and distinctly Pinot-inflected in its structure and depth, the 2009 possesses remarkable power throughout. Today, the 2009 remains quite primary as it was only recently disgorged, but it offers tremendous persistence and exceptional overall balance, not to mention considerable potential. The 2009 will almost certainly be more expressive in another 6-12 months, although it is pretty impressive today. (93.5) (AG)" (03/2015)
Current Bid: $113.11

Bid on this bottle of 2020 Kinero "Alice" Paso Robles Grenache Blanc (93VN). Vinous: "Limpid straw-yellow. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh orange, yellow plum and white flowers, and a chalky nuance adds lift and focus. Dry, penetrating and vibrant on the palate, offering orange pith and pear skin flavors that are given spine by a core of juicy acidity. Shows very good energy and spicy lift on the finish, which hangs on with strong, mineral-driven tenacity. (JR)" (07/2022)
Current Bid: $15.50

Bid on this bottle of 2010 La Rioja Alta "890" Gran Reserva Rioja (99JS, 99PG, 98TA, 97RP, 96VN). James Suckling: "This is really refined and complex, with dark mineral, savory berries, mussels, walnuts, sweet spices, truffles, dried oranges, forest floor and cocoa powder. Beautiful acidity with vertical and velvety tannins. Tense, dimensional and very long. Drink or keep holding. (ZS)" (11/2023)
Current Bid: $175.00

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Lafleur, Pomerol (100DC, 100JD, 100JS, 100RP, 99JA, 99VN, 98TWI). Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Lafleur is an utterly profound young wine that unwinds in the glass with aromas of rose petals, raspberries and sweet spices mingled with notions of blood orange, violets and fresh tobacco that are hauntingly reminiscent of this estate's great 1982. Full-bodied, deep and seamless, it's layered and multidimensional, with a concentrated core of vibrant fruit, lively acids and ripe, powdery tannins, concluding with a long, searingly intense finish. This magical Lafleur is unquestionably one of the wines of the vintage. (WK)" (04/2022)
Current Bid: $1,161.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2021 Cantina Terlano "Vorberg" Pinot Bianco Riserva Alto Adige (99JS, 95WE, 94VN). James Suckling: "Restrained apricot peel, fairly neutral yet classy, but with a floral bouquet that opens up. The attack is full and impressively vibrant, almost electric, with filigreed elegance and a silky, weighted palate. Long and polished. This is incredible. Drink now or hold to achieve greater complexity." (04/2024)
Current Bid: $280.00

Bid on this bottle of 1998 Latour, Pauillac (96DC, 96W&S, 92VN). Decanter: "As with many of the wines from 1998 that I have tasted recently, the Latour was surprisingly open and approachable. Today the wine has a smoky, almost roasted nose with black plum and fig fruit, hints of smoke, leather, and an undercurrent of ground coffee. The texture is surprisingly open and soft but not falling apart. It is drinking well today and doubtless will hold for another 10 to 15 years but is probably not one for long-term ageing. The spring and the growing season were hot and dry, and although there was rain at harvest the grapes were able to resist rot and dilution due to their thick skins. (CC)" (02/2022)
Current Bid: $495.00

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Margaux, Margaux (95RP, 91VN). Wine Advocate: "The best of the First Growth ‘97s. A limpid, garnet/ruby core with ruby rim. The nose is exquisite with great delineation and purity with much more vigour that the other Firsts. Mint, blackberries, violets and blueberries all leap from the glass, oblivious to the fact that they stem from a poor vintage. The palate has a slightly voluptuous feel to it, rounded black fruits, raspberry, cassis, tobacco, graphite and a touch of Asian spice towads the finish. Sheer class. A superb success for Paul Pontallier in a difficult vintage. (NM)" (09/2006)
Current Bid: $356.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Lucien Le Moine Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru ((94-96VN)). Vinous: "Extremely reduced on the nose, which Saouma takes as a positive sign for this cuvée. Wild, rocky and powerful, with very sweet (actually three grams per liter) flavors of pear oil and clove complemented by smoky minerality and framed by surprising lemony acidity (Saouma told me that this wine was stinky a few months ago, smelling like firecrackers). This Bâtard has the palate presence and tannic support of a red wine, finishing with extraordinary thickness and length. Today it's hard to scrape this off the palate. These vines are planted on humid, clay-rich soil. (ST)" (09/2018)
Current Bid: $580.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2021 Clos Solène "Cuvée Jean" Santa Maria Valley Syrah (97JD, 96VN, 95DC, 95JS) and 1-bottle of 2021 Clos Solène "Hommage à nos Pairs Reserve" Paso Robles Syrah (97JD, 96DC, 96VN). Of the 2021 Clos Solène "Cuvée Jean" Santa Maria Valley Syrah, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The 2021 Cuvee Jean (there's 3% Viognier) comes all from the Bien Nacido Vineyard and was aged in 40% new, 300-liter barrels. It has some crazy Bien Nacido white and black peppery notes as well as beautiful black and blue fruits, some gamey, bacon fat, cedar, and violet notes, medium to full-bodied richness, a round, layered mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. It's a brilliant Syrah from this talented winemaker that has world-class character." (08/2024)
Current Bid: $103.00

Bid on this bottle of 1989 d'Yquem, Sauternes (99RP, 97DC, 97WS, 96TWI, 95VN). Wine Advocate: "One of the high points of this vertical tasting, the 1989 d'Yquem is a magical wine offering up a complex, refined bouquet with aromas of quince, apricot, pineapple, menthol, flowers and white truffles, followed by a full-bodied, concentrated and seamless palate, pure and vibrant structure and lively acids, concluding with a long, perfumed, ethereal finish. (YC)" (10/2023)
Current Bid: $360.00

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Mollydooker "Gigglepot" Cabernet Sauvignon South Australia (95RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon 'Gigglepot is composed of 92% McLaren Vale fruit and 8% Langhorne Creek fruit. Opaque purple-colored, the wine coats the glass with glycerin. It offers alluring aromas of smoke, toast, pencil lead, black currants, and blackberry. On the palate this sleek, lustrous wine is more structured than the Maitre D'. It has deeper and more intense fruit and the finish is lengthy and pure. Give it 3-4 years of additional bottle age and drink it through 2027. (JSM)" (10/2007)
Current Bid: $40.00

Bid on this bottle of 1974 Mouton Cadet, Bordeaux. The 1974 vintage in Bordeaux was marked by a cooler, wetter growing season, resulting in lower yields. Despite the challenges, the wines produced in this year were notably balanced, with good acidity and moderate alcohol levels.

Bid on this bottle of 2000 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (99IWR, 96JS, 96RP, 96TWI, 96WE, 95JA, 95WS, 94VN). Int'l Wine Review: "The 2000 Château Pichon Lalande is a truly epic wine and clearly one of the very best wines from the all the region in what was a classic vintage. This compelling blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot along with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot instantly begins to dazzle with is gorgeous aromas of blackberry and plum fruit followed by smoked meats, exotic spices, floral, tar and crushed stones. It possesses stunning finesse and balance, and the tannins, which are still relevant, are beginning to resolve nicely into the wine resulting in a beautiful soft velvety texture. (JD)" (12/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Piper-Heidsieck Brut Champagne (94JM, 94RP, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Vintage Brut offers a clear and toasty aroma on the nose. Pure, fresh, lean and delicate but complex and mineral on the palate, this is a lithe and elegant, very finessed and persistent 2008 with grip and expression. This is a complex, intense yet light and very elegant Champagne with a pure, mineral-structured and persistent finish. (SR)" (11/2017)
Current Bid: $72.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Poggio di Sotto Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (100RP, 97DC, 97JS, 97VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a stunning wine and an archetype of classic Sangiovese from Montalcino. I could drink this wine all day if it weren't so expensive. This Riserva is extremely fine and nuanced with the thinnest of fibers that wash over the palate like fine silk. Certified-organic fruit shapes aromas of cassis, cranberry, peony, tea leaf, orange and rusty nail. The aromas are tight and contained, yet they become increasingly expansive and expressive as the wine opens in the glass. It has contained power and, most importantly, a relatively moderate 14% alcohol, which makes all the difference in terms of balance and elegance. 8, 000 bottles were made. (ML)" (02/2022)
Current Bid: $353.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Beaux Frères "Palissage-Beaux Frères Vineyard" Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir. Crafted in small quantities from north-facing slopes from their estate, where the vines are cultivated in a particular Old World style for which the wine is named. From the winery: "Power and poise find equilibrium in a garland of juicy berries, hibiscus tea, allspice and brown butter. In an own-rooted Pommard block planted in ‘88, we’ve begun exploring an Old-World technique ('Palissage'), where vertical shoots that would otherwise be hedged are instead tucked back into the vine canopy. These cooler, north-sloping blocks—where wines of complexity emerge—may benefit from accelerated ripening with this method. For gusto, barrels were also selected from ‘90s plantings grafted to Dijon clone Pinot Noir. The result is a wine with graceful intensity, bound for beautiful development over decades in the cellar."
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 San Guido "Sassicaia" Bolgheri (98IWR, 98JS, 97DC, 97KO, 97RP, 97W&S, 97WS, 95VN). James Suckling: "Love the aromas to this young red with blackcurrants, sage, cinnamon and five-spice character. Changes all the time. Full-bodied, dense and powerful with a ripe and rich tannin backbone that gives form and beauty to the ripe and beautiful fruit. Tight and very long. Approachable now but will reward more in five to six years. A classic Sassicaia." (12/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Willow Creek District Syrah (98JD, 97WS, 95VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Leading off the 2019s, the 2019 Bone Rock is based on 73% Syrah, 14% Graciano, 9% Petite Sirah, and the rest Roussanne that's all from the estate James Berry Vineyard. Aged 34 months in 70% new French oak, it has a killer nose of black and blue fruits, game, iron, and spring flowers. This carries to a full-bodied, powerful Syrah with a stacked mid-palate, remarkable purity, and enough structure and tannins to warrant 2-4 years in the cellar. It's a heavenly expression of Syrah that will have two decades of longevity. 98+" (08/2023)

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" California Grenache (97RP, 97VN). Vinous: "The 2011 Grenache Dark Blossom emerges from the glass with darker tonalities of fruit and firmer tannin compared to the 2012. Vivid, complex and nuanced, the 2011 is flat-out stunning today. Grilled herbs, smoke, sage, mint and black cherries linger on the explosive, structured finish. (AG)" (07/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 1965 Taylor Fladgate "Very Old Single Harvest" Tawny Port (97W&S, 96WE, 95RP, 95WS, 94JS, 93VN). Wine & Spirits: "It’s tempting to look for house style in Tawny Port, especially among the British firms who make a point of defining a style for their Vintage selections. Taylor’s Vintage, blended from several estate vineyards, is defined by the old vines at Quinta do Vargellas, a Douro Superior site that produces tense, muscular and firmly mineral wines. Though this Tawny is from a lot purchased by Taylor from the Port shippers Wiese & Krohn in 2013, as Taylor’s managing director Adrian Bridge explained, the company decided to present it as part of their Limited Edition series, as it closely parallels the style of Tawny Dick Yeatman would have socked away. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Martha's Vineyard barely hints at eucalyptus on the nose, with much more emphasis given to black cherries and cassis. This is full-bodied and rich, nicely balancing richness and texture against linear shape and focus and picking up hints of blueberries and spice on the long, mouthwatering finish. With 112 barrels having been bottled, there's a fair bit of this wine to go around, if one can afford it. (JC)" (05/2022)

Bid on this bottle of 2020 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Massetino" Toscana (95JS, 95RP, 94JD, 92WS). Wine Advocate: "The Masseto 2020 Massetino (Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc) is extremely generous and rich. This wine puts it all out there in full view with a bouquet that is stitched together with ripe blackberry and black cherry preserves, black stone or pencil shaving, sweet spice, cigar, smoke and tar. This was a warm and sunny vintage, and you feel the power of those sunbeams locked within the dark, opulent and concentrated fruit on display here. This is a special treat, and the 2020 edition offers a clear identity for Massetino. This vintage comes close to out-powering the bouquet of the 2019 Masseto also hitting the market now. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Progeny (O'Shaughnessy) "Reserve" Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon. According to the estate, "The 2019 cuvée rested 22 months in French oak and 24 months in bottle, reflecting Progeny’s approach to extended aging prior to release for all our wines. The dark purple color, with an opaque center, foretells a wine of enticing aromas: powerfully aromatic boysenberry, rose petal, dark-roast coffee beans, and cassis. Flavors of mixed berry compote, black cherry and graphite integrate smoothly with great length and silky tannins."

Bid on this bottle of 2021 Vice Versa "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97DC, 97JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "Lots of red, blue, and black fruit as well as some classic liquid rock-like minerality, iron, and savory, leafy herb notes all emerge from the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, a big, rich, full-bodied effort that stays nicely focused, has ripe tannins, and a lively, elegant mouthfeel. It has lots of varietal character as well as the slightly more streamlined style of these 2021s. This beauty will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and evolve for 2-3 decades." (02/2024)
