Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 The Third Twin (Sine Qua Non) "Nuestra Señora del Tercer Gemelo" Central Coast Red Blend (100JD, 98RP, 98VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Nuestra Senora Del Tercer Gemelo checks in as a Petite Sirah-dominated blend that includes 22.1% Mourvèdre, 11.5% Graciano, and 3.4% Viognier. It’s the finest Petite Sirah to ever pass my lips and tops out my scale. Insanely good cassis, iron, bloody blue fruits, violets, graphite, and peppery herbs all emerge on the nose, and it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a deep, layered, incredibly seamless texture, no hard edges, and a brilliant finish. Hats off to Monsieur Krankl – I have no idea how he was able to make a Petite Sirah this good." (08/2021)
Current Bid: $390.00

Bid on this magnum of 2011 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, 94WS, 93JS, 92VN). Wine Advocate: "A brilliant wine, and one of the stars of the vintage, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection boasts aromas of blueberry pie, blackberries, cassis and white flowers. This full-bodied, velvety textured, delicious 2011 is already drinking well, and should continue to do so for 10-12 years. It is a terrific success for the vintage. (RP)" (10/2013)
Current Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 97JS, 97WS, 96VN, 96W&S, 95JD, 95WE, 93CG). Wine Advocate: "he 2018 Monte Bello is as classic a release from this storied site as ever. It contains 17% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. A ravishing, multidimensional nose of wet clay, cocoa powder, peperoncini, cured meat and eucalyptus endlessly expands and congeals with further aeration. The palate precisely stitches together supple concentration and firm, coarse tannins that give sturdiness and intensity to its otherwise medium-bodied frame. The finish is amazingly long and delicious and begins to close down after a few hours, telling me this timeless wine should be left alone for the next 10-12 years. Superb through and through, this wine should excel past its 50th birthday. (ML)" (04/2024)
Current Bid: $450.00

Bid on this magnum of 2019 Continuum Oakville Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (100TWI, 98RP, 97VN, 96JD, 95WE, 95WS). The Wine Independent: "The 2019 Continuum has the highest percentage to date of Cabernet Franc. It is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot, and 6% Merlot, with all the fruit estate grown from Sage Mountain Vineyard on Pritchard Hill and it has a deep garnet-purple color. The nose is closed to begin and needs patience to coax out beautifully pure notes of warm cassis, wild blueberries, chocolate-covered cherries, violets, and iron ore, plus wafts of cinnamon toast, clove oil, and crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firm, with super-ripe, grainy tannins and fantastic tension framing energetic, tightly knit layers, finishing on a long-lingering ferrous note, plus a spray of rose water and candied violets. Simply stunning! (LPB)" (06/2023)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this magnum of 1987 Dunn "Artist Series" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) in original wood. Joe Czerwinski's notes on the producer for Wine Advocate: "Randy [Dunn] got his start as a crush hand at Caymus, working for Chuck Wagner in 1975. "I learned a lot at Caymus, " he said. "At the time, they had a German winemaker who specialized in Riesling. He didn't know much about red winemaking." Dunn's first vintage under his own label was in 1979—the first few vintages were bottled at Caymus—and in 1985 he left to devote his full time to Dunn. Back in 1982, Randy purchased bulk wine for his first Napa Valley bottling, "I paid $12.50 per gallon and sold it for $12.50 per bottle, " said Dunn. " (5/2022)
Current Bid: $310.00

Bid on this magnum of 2014 Saxum "G2" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (97RP, 94VN, 94WS). Wine Advocate: "Tasted just after bottling and a final blend of 58% Mourvèdre and 42% Grenache, the 2014 G2 Vineyard comes from a site just to the southeast of James Berry (this was formerly known as Gravity Hills Vineyard) that was planted in the late 1990s. The first release from Justin from this site, this beauty sports a deep ruby/purple color as well as a gorgeous, layered bouquet of cured meats, spice, mulled dark fruits, graphite and loads of this chalky minerality that also emerges on the palate. Rich, full-bodied, ultra-pure and impeccably balanced, this seamless, full-bore beauty will need 2-3 years to really shine, and keep for a decade or more after that. (JD)" (09/2016)
Current Bid: $180.00

Bid on this magnum of 2011 Diamond Creek "Red Rock Terrace" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96VN, 95DC, 94RP, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Rock Terrace is an infant. In a vintage in which so many wines are on the lighter side, the Red Rock is deep, powerful and super-expressive. It is also incredibly young and still in need of cellaring! Dark and vibrant, with soaring aromatics, the 2011 is absolutely gorgeous. This is a fabulous bottle of the 2011, far better than what I remember tasting when the 2011 was first released. (AG)" (05/2022)
Current Bid: $325.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc (93WS, 90RP, 90VN). Wine Spectator: "Wonderful aromas of floral honeysuckle, cream, fig and lemon-lime join hints of green apple, holding a tight focus on the beam of ripe, concentrated flavors. The texture is inviting and supple, with enough racy acidity to keep it all focused. Subtle oak tones linger on the finish. (JL)" (11/2005)
Current Bid: $280.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Cakebread "Dancing Bear Ranch" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Dancing Bear Ranch, a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot from Howell Mountain, is a superstar of the vintage. Beautiful notes of graphite, mulberries, blueberries and blackberries jump from the glass of this dense purple-colored 2012. Its full-bodied opulence, luscious texture, 45+-second finish, purity, texture and uncanny integration of all the component parts are beautiful to behold. (RP)" (10/2014)
Current Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2022 Aubert "Larry Hyde and Sons Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay ((97-99TWI), 97WS, 95VN, 94RP). The Wine Independent: "The 2022 Larry Hyde & Sons Chardonnay, tasted as a barrel sample, rockets from the glass with intense notes of grapefruit essence, juicy white peaches, and fresh pineapple leading to touches of orange blossoms, candied ginger, and chopped cashews with a hint of honeycomb. The full-bodied palate bursts with concentrated stone and tropical fruit layers, supported by a refreshing backbone and creamy texture, leading to a lingering ginger ale note on the finish of this delicious wine. Planted with the Corton Charlemagne and Old Wente clones on St Georges rootstock, this is one of the last vineyards to be harvested, hence a long hang-time. (LPB)" (09/2023)
Current Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Corison "Kronos Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98WE, 97DC, 97JS, 97VN, 96WS, 95JG, 95RP, 93JD). Wine Enthusiast: "From old vines planted nearly 50 years ago, this wine opens in violet and rose. On the palate are seamless layers of cranberry and currant, with an underlying strength of integrated spice, dried herb and oak. Complex and concentrated, this wine is elegantly built to age and evolve, beautifully styled throughout. *Cellar Selection, #3 Top 100 2022* (VB)" (04/2022)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Realm "The Moonracer" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 97JS, 97RP, 97VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Moonracer comes from south-facing blocks on the estate in Stags Leap and is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot. The tannins here are a step up, and this beauty boasts a gorgeous nose of red and black fruits, tobacco leaf, violets, and spice. It’s a more elegant, medium to full-bodied, seamless wine, accurately described as an iron fist in a velvet glove by winemaker Benoit Touquette. The balance is spot on and it has plenty of up-front appeal, yet it’s going to evolve gracefully for 20-25 years with no issues." (12/2021)
Current Bid: $560.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Pride Mountain "Vintner's Select" Sonoma County Merlot (94RP, 91JD, 90WE, 90WS). Wine Advocate: "Made from 100% Merlot, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Merlot Vintner's Select is flamboyantly scented of warmed black plums, blueberry compote, candied violets and exotic spices with hints of garrigue, fertile loam, licorice and black tea. Medium to full-bodied, the generous black fruits are beautifully perfumed with floral hints and framed by velvety tannins, finishing long and decadently spicy. (LPB)" (12/2018)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 98JS, 98WE, 97JD, 97VN, 96CG, 95DC, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the nose is a little reticent to begin, needing a fair bit of coaxing to reveal beautifully beguiling notions of wild blueberries, warm blackberries, black currant cordial, cloves and cedar chest with nuances of camphor, yeast extract, charcuterie and candied violets. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has fantastic elegance and depth, revealing loads of subtle floral, black fruit and earthy layers with a firm, very finely grained texture and seamless freshness, finishing with epic length. (LPB)" (10/2019)
Current Bid: $580.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Nickel & Nickel "State Ranch" Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94JD, 94JS, 92VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon State Ranch is deep garnet-purple colored with violets, chocolate box, menthol, cassis, black raspberries, tea and new leather on the nose. Full, firm and grainy, the palate is packed with black fruit layers, finishing long and perfumed. (LPB) 95+" (12/2018)
Current Bid: $141.00

Of the 2018 Williams Selyem Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Wine Enthusiast writes: "Lush and earthy in all the right ways, this appellation wine is effusive and floral in a lovely bouquet of wild rose. Bright red fruit persists through the structured and well-integrated body, with fresh acidity and accents of black tea and cardamom lifting it up. (VB)" (07/2020)
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2016 Donum "Single Vineyard" Carneros Pinot Noir (94JS, 93JD, 91RP, 91WE, 91WS) and 1-bottle of 2018 Donum "Single Vineyard" Carneros Pinot Noir (93JS, 93WS, 92RP, 92WE). Of the 2016 Donum "Single Vineyard" Carneros Pinot Noir, James Suckling writes: "A bold and rounder fruit expression with some lifted red fruit and very velvety, silky-smooth texture on the palate. Ripe red-cherry and spicy plum finish. Impressive power here. Drink or hold." (11/2018)
Starting Bid: $85.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100JD, 98RP, 97VN) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "Pure perfection in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Scarecrow’s 2018 reveals a dense purple hue as well as an incredible bouquet of pure crème de cassis, toasted spices, chocolate, darker currants, and graphite. This carries to a full-bodied, dense, off-the-charts sexy 2018 that has the vintage’s purity and freshness backed up by flawless balance, a layered mouthfeel, and building yet elegant tannins." (01/2021)
Current Bid: $1,550.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2016 Larkmead "Dr. Olmo" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 96IWR, 95JD, 95RP, 95WE, 94VN, 94WS) and 1-bottle of 2016 Larkmead "Solari" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 97RP, 97VN, 96JD, 95WE, 94WS). Of the 2016 Larkmead "Dr. Olmo" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, James Suckling writes: "Impressive aromas of dried flowers, crushed blackberries and plums. Some sweet-tobacco undertones. Full-bodied, dusty and juicy with chewy tannins that are supple and savory, combining with the fruit. Flavorful and intense. So structured." (03/2019)
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Peter Michael "Point Rouge" Knights Valley Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "Equally provocative and profound is the magnificent 2014 Chardonnay Point Rouge. Complex notes of tropical fruits intermixed with toast, smoked almonds, brioche and white peach are stunning in this prodigious, full-bodied, multidimensional Chardonnay. Both the 2015 and 2014 are 10- to 15-year wines, but extremely difficult to find in the marketplace. As I have mentioned in the past, readers should note the slight greenish hue to all of the Peter Michael Chardonnays, which seems to be a healthy sign of high-quality fruit and the chlorophyll from the vines. (RP)" (10/2016)
Current Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2012 Turley "Juvenile" California Zinfandel (91WS, 90RP, 90VN), 1-bottle of 2013 Turley "Juvenile" California Zinfandel (94RP, 90WS), and 1-bottle of 2014 Turley "Juvenile" California Zinfandel (92WS, 91DC, 90RP). Of the 2013 Turley "Juvenile" California Zinfandel, Wine Advocate writes: "A killer Zinfandel, the 2013 Zinfandel Juvenile is a blend from younger vines replanted on old-vine sites. For the statisticians, this wine is made from Zinfandel vines ranging from six to 25 years of age across 15 different vineyards, including such hallowed Zin terroir as Hayne, Ueberroth, Pesenti, Salvador, and Vineyard 101. This is a stunning example that shouldn’t be discounted just because it is not a single-vineyard wine. (RP)" (04/2015)
Current Bid: $70.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2018 Rochioli "Estate" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (96WE, 92RP, 92VN). Wine Enthusiast: "This wine offers incredible aromaticsof crème brûlée and brioche, rich, warmingcharacteristics that lead to more mineral-drivenelements of oyster shell and stone. From severalparts of the producer’s estate, including Little Hilland River Block, this is a juicy, lengthy and beautifullystructured wine, finishing in a swirl of grilledpineapple. (VB)" (02/2021)
Current Bid: $240.00

Bid on this bottle of 2000 Giacomo Conterno "Monfortino" Barolo Riserva (98VN, 97RP, 96WS, 93ST). Vinous: "I also very much like the 2000 in this flight. A model of total finesse and delicacy, the 2000 doesn’t have the volume or power of the 1997, but it is perhaps just a bit more finessed. Today, the 2000 is a bit shy. What might it blossom into in a few years’ time? I can’t wait to find out. From magnum, the 2000 Monfortino is pure seduction. Tasted from magnum. (AG)" (05/2014)
Current Bid: $790.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 d'Yquem, Sauternes (99JS, (97-99RP), 97VN, 96WS, 95DC). Wine Advocate: "There was no frost at d’Yquem in 2017, and botrytis was very regular and even this vintage. The nose opens with very pure notes of freshly sliced oranges, yuzu and lemon barley water with hints of white pepper, fresh ginger and lime cordial. The incredibly rich, unctuous sweetness (148 grams per liter of residual sugar) is beautifully marbled with bright, vivacious citrus fruit and spice flavors, while lifted by well-knit freshness, and it finishes with epic length and great depth. (LPB)" (04/2018)
Current Bid: $251.00

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98JA, 98VN, 97JD, 96DC, 96RP). Vinous: "Ridge's 1996 Monte Bello is an absolute stunner. The bouquet evokes a top Left Bank Bordeaux in a great vintage. Not surprisingly, the Cabernet Sauvignon in the 1996 is very high at 80%. Every bit as compelling on the palate, the 1996 simply exudes class. I am not sure words alone can capture just how vivid the wine is at twenty years of age. Graphite, smoke, tobacco, licorice and a core of dark fruit unfold on the palate as the 1996 shows off its pedigree. Readers lucky enough to own it can look forward to another two decades plus of exceptional drinking. The 1996 is an uber-classic, Médoc-leaning Monte Bello. What a wine! (AG)" (07/2016)
Current Bid: $291.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Morlet "Coeur de Vallée" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93ST, 92WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallee (also from Oakville) is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Cabernet Franc. Projected aromatics of cedarwood, black currants, ink, espresso roast, spice box, and chocolate are followed by an opulent, fleshy, full-bodied red that is slightly more evolved and accessible than the Passionement. (RP)" (02/2010)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Hubert Lignier Chambolle-Musigny "Les Bussieres" ((88-90BH)). Burghound: "Here the nose is at once more elegant and more complex with its pretty mix of plum, violet, red pinot and a hint of tea. The supple and refined medium-bodied flavors possess good delineation while delivering a subtle trace of minerality on the youthfully austere and balanced finale." (01/2016)
Current Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Cakebread "Vine Hill Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It was serendipity that launched Cakebread Cellars. Photographer Jack Cakebread had gone to the Napa Valley to take some pictures for a book, and while he was there he "casually" mentioned owning a vineyard someday to a family friend who owned a ranch in Rutherford. A few hours later that friend called and offered to sell their property. From the winery: "Highly aromatic notes of blackberry, boysenberry, cassis and dark plum are complemented by hints of loam, mineral and dark chocolate Rich, concentrated and vibrant on the palate, the wine’s deep, intense, blackberry, boysenberry, and blackcurrant flavors are balanced by uncharacteristically mild tannins and persist throughout a long, savory finish featuring spice, mineral and dark chocolate tones. "
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Diamond Creek "Volcanic Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97IWR, 96JS, 95JG, 95W&S, 94WS). Int'l Wine Review: "The 2017 Volcanic Hill Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the highlights from the entire vintage. This seductive wine instantly begins to impress with expressive aromas of blueberries, dark plums, dark currants that are accented with graphite, sweet spices, fresh violets and tobacco nuances that soar from the glass. On the palate this continues to thoroughly impress with its full body and beautifully polished, yet supportive tannins and a deep plush core of ripe dark fruit. It demonstrates remarkable depth and concentration along with outstanding balance leading up to the plush finish. This wine has it all and while it is already quite impressive in its youth it should also have a tremendous future ahead. (JD)" (12/2020)
Current Bid: $580.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2023 Aubert "Lauren" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((97-100VN)). Vinous: "The 2023 Chardonnay Lauren is the quintessential Mark Aubert wine. Rich, layered and wonderfully dynamic in the glass, the 2023 is another super-complete wine. The Lauren is marked by strong mineral, earthy and savory notes that require bottle age to be at their most expressive. (AG)" (12/2024)
Current Bid: $720.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2021 Di Costanzo "Montecillo Vineyard" Moon Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96JS, 95DC). Vinous: "The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Montecillo Vineyard is one of the best wines I have ever tasted here. Dark, sumptuous and wonderfully dynamic, the 2021 captures all the natural intensity this site is so well known for. Black cherry, gravel, lavender, spice and dried herbs all power through in this heady, dense Sonoma Valley Cabernet. (Drink between 2027-2041) (AG)" (12/2023)
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Byington "Reserve - Tin Cross Vineyard" Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon . Byington Vineyard & Winery produced its first vintage of wine in 1987. In 2013, the winery was purchased by Los Altos Vineyards, which invested in updating the winemaking facilities and acquiring more estate vineyards.
Current Bid: $62.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2021 Fingers Crossed (Faethm) California White Blend ((96-98TWI), (95-97JD), (94-96RP), (93-96VN)). The Wine Independent: "The 2021 Unanswered Prayers White is composed of 72% Chardonnay, 15.4% Roussanne, and 12.6% Marsanne mostly sourced from Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, with a smaller proportion from Bien Nacido Vineyard. It was barrel fermented and aged for 21 months in French oak, 86% new. Prancing out of the glass with a fantastically fragrant nose of grapefruit oil, lemon curd, and lime blossoms, plus hints of lemongrass, shaved ginger, and allspice, the palate is full-bodied, rich, and seductively viscous. The subtle nuttiness to the opulent apple and baking spice flavors is offset by racy acidity, finishing yeasty. Bottled in July 2023, I suggest decanting this and keeping the decanter in the fridge for a good hour or two before serving, then taking it out for about 15-20 minutes before pouring it to ensure it’s not served too cold. (LPB)" (08/2023)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Merry Edwards "Klopp Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (93WE, 91CG, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Klopp is a mix of California and Burgundy clones, one of the producer's finest offerings every year, made in an opulent, balanced style. Lush layers of strawberry and cherry are surrounded by truffle-like dirt. The wine is concentrated in tannin and subtle oak, while anise marks the measured finish. *Cellar Selection* (VB)" (07/2015)
Current Bid: $78.02

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Nickel & Nickel "Vaca Vista Vineyard" Oak Knoll District Cabernet Sauvignon (91WS). Wine Spectator: "Shows a slightly hefty side, featuring steeped plum and blackberry fruit, laced with cocoa powder, warm earth and roasted cedar notes. A touch extracted in feel along the edges, but the structured is fine-grained and the fruit stays just fresh enough. (JM)" (10/2020)
Current Bid: $111.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2013 Williams Selyem Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and 1-bottle of 2019 Williams Selyem Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95WE, 94JD, 92RP, 92WS). Of the 2019 Williams Selyem Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Wine Enthusiast writes: "This is an outstanding showcase for the vintage, showing depth and concentration mixed with elegance. Dried herb, black tea, turned earth and crushed rock accent a medium-bodied core of dark cherry, blueberry and currant, with rounded tannins. (EB)" (09/2021)
Current Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2012 Pride Mountain Napa-Sonoma Counties Merlot (92JS, 91WE, 90CG, 90RP). James Suckling: "Lots of dark fruit and toasted oak on the nose. Aromatic! Full body, round and soft texture with plenty of ripe fruit, and a fresh finish. Fresh and generous." (07/2015)
Current Bid: $166.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2013 Hourglass Blueline Estate Napa Valley Merlot (1.5L) (93WE, 92JD, 92RP, 91VN, 91WS). Wine Enthusiast: So rich it tastes like chocolate, this ambitious and lavishly oak-influenced wine pulls out all the stops to achieve maximum flavor impact. It smells full of baking spices and savory herbs, tastes very ripe, concentrated and feels lush and creamy in texture. While full bodied, it has plenty of firm acidity and lots of fine tannins to stand up to all that flavor. *Editor's Choice* (JG) (09/2015)
Current Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1985 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN). Vinous: "Good full medium red, with faint amber at the edge. Pungent scents of raspberry, spices, cedar and eucalyptus. A distinctly penetrating, high-acid style with noteworthy clarity and energy to its floral flavors of berries, dark cherry and loam complicated by a touch of molasses and an obvious oak component. This soil-driven midweight, the product of a long, cool growing season, finishes with a sneaky building whiplash of flavor, with a slight dry edge suggesting energetic extraction. Classic older-style Georges de Latour. (ST)" (04/2019)
Current Bid: $350.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1986 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92JG). John Gilman: "The 1986 Martha’s Vineyard is still an impressively young wine and a bit bound up in its adolescence crankiness at the present time, though the underlying quality here is quite evident. The nose offers up a deep mélange of black cherries, a bit of tariness, eucalyptus, cigar ash, fine soil tones, cedar and a topnote of Rutherford dust. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and still quite tight, with a rock solid core of fruit, moderate tannins, tangy acids and fine focus on the long and still quite closed finish. I may be underrating this vintage a tad, but the wine is still quite reticent and needs a handful more years of bottle age before it really starts to stir from its extended hibernation. 92+" (05/2011)
Current Bid: $585.00

Of the 2020 Kosta Browne "Treehouse Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, James Suckling writes: "A fantastic pinot noir with dried strawberries, green tea, orange peel and bark. Full-bodied with savory fruit. Extremely long and flavorful, yet always linear and vivid. Lovely tannins and brightness. Goes on for minutes. Drinkable, but better after 2025." (02/2023)

Bid on this bottle of 2019 d'Yquem, Sauternes (98VN, 97DC, 97JA, 97WS, 96JS). Vinous: "Tasting the 2019, I noticed that it has a slightly paler hue compared to recent vintages (though I never read too much into the colour of young Sauternes.) For certain, it has a highly-aromatic bouquet that is beguiling in purity, enticing aromas of honeysuckle and saffron, soon joined by camomile, white flowers and orange blossom. It has wonderful delineation and gains intensity with aeration. The palate is supremely well-balanced with fine bead of acidity. Very harmonious and armed with just the right amount of viscosity, this Yquem is surprisingly understated at first but gains presence, offering irresistible flavours of layers of honey, lemongrass, lemon thyme and orange pith. Yquem is so tempting in its youth, but I feel that this vintage will repay those with the nous to cellar for at least a decade. (NM)" (02/2022)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Bruno Giacosa "Falletto" Barolo (96JS, 95RP, 94WS). James Suckling: " Impressive fresh leather-clad red cherries with a subtle earthiness in the background. Quite pure. Floral and aromatic. The palate has a very elegant yet powerful core of blueberries and cherries. A smooth release of fruit sweetness into the fresh and vibrant finish. Elegant and classic. More open than normal. " (04/2018)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2007 Morlet "Passionnement" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94VN) and 1-bottle of 2010 Morlet "Mon Chevalier" Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP). Of the 2010 Morlet "Mon Chevalier" Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Advocate writes: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Mon Chevalier bursts from the glass with smoke, scorched earth, tobacco, incense and dark plums. There is plenty of Knights Valley character in the glass, but at the same time the fruit is so pure and refined as to make the tannins much more polished than is often the case. The Mon Chevalier is another deep wine endowed with serious depth and power. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2017 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-St-Vivant Grand Cru ((95-98JM), 98VN, 96DC, 95RP, 94BH). Vinous: "A total stunner, the 2017 Romanée St. Vivant Grand Cru is the most expressive wine in the lineup today. Rich, creamy and so wonderfully textured, the RSV simply has it all. The tannins are present, but they are also matched by tremendous fruit density and pure power. Floral and savory overtones grace the lifted, saline finish. Leaving price aside, if I could only have one wine in this range, it would unquestionably be the RSV. The 2017 is a total knock-out. That’s all there is to it. (AG)" (07/2020)

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (99JD, 98WS, 96RP, 96VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 James Berry Vineyard checks in as 58% Grenache, 27% Mataro, 6% Syrah, 6% Graciano, and 3% Counoise that spent 21 months in 79% new French oak. It would stand up in a lineup of top Châteauneuf du Pape and has a gorgeous bouquet of black raspberries, ground pepper, flowery incense, and loamy earth. Pure, full-bodied, ultra-fine, and seamless, it builds with time in the glass, has ripe tannins, and a great finish. It shines just as much for its elegance and class as it does for its power and richness. It needs to be forgotten for 3-5 years but will be a 20- to 25-year wine from this estate." (09/2022)
Starting Bid: $195.00

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Bevan "Tench Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 98TWI, 97IWR, 97JD, 96VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard is a stunning example of eastern Oakville Cabernet. It's loaded with scents of cassis and red plum and tinged with faint hints of thyme and sage, and it's full-bodied, rich and relatively open-knit. Ripe, plush and layered, gently framed by cedar and vanilla, it's lovely stuff that should drink well for up to two decades. (JC)" (05/2022)

Of the 2016 Joseph Phelps "Pastorale Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Wine Enthusiast writes: "From the producer's estate property in Freestone, this is so, so good—an impressive wine that lingers in rose, cherry and vanilla. It has strong underlayers of forest and baking spice along with a shock of white pepper, lavender and buzzy, fresh acidity. Moderate in ripeness, it offers complex structure and makes a lasting impression. (VB)" (09/2019)

Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 2007 Duckhorn "Monitor Ledge Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Vinous: "Bright red-ruby. Cassis, licorice, violet and mint on the nose. The sweetest and easiest of these 2007 cabernets on entry, then tightens up in the middle, but still offers good pliancy to the flavors of black cherry and mint. Finishes with firm, ripe tannins and good length. (ST)" (05/2011)
