Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 G.B. Burlotto "Monvigliero" Barolo (96W&S, 95VN, 94WE). Wine & Spirits: "Burlotto’s Monvigliero is a monumental wine, balancing intensity and delicacy as it unfolds with scents of fresh red berries, spices, herbs and wildflowers. One of our tasters called it “insanely delicious, ” and I can’t argue with that description. The family’s parcel of 60-year-old vines sits near the vineyard’s peak at close to 1, 000 feet above sea level, absorbing heat and sunlight on the south-facing slope and enjoying the Tanaro River’s cooling night breezes that preserve aromas and impart acidity, giving the wine a glacial coolness. Intensely floral and spicy, it brims with scents of bay leaf, tamarind and anise that buzz through the wine’s flavors of fresh red berry and umeboshi plum." (12/2016)
Current Bid: $380.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "Lastly, the virtually perfect 2014 Chardonnay Cix Estate, planted with a Montrachet clone on Goldridge soils, again exhibits amazing intensity, notes of wet gravel interwoven with apple blossom, caramelized citrus, apricot, white peach and honeysuckle. It is full-bodied, multidimensional and a profound glass of Chardonnay. (RP)" (10/2016)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this magnum of 2014 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 8" Central Coast Red Blend (1.5L) (100JD, 98RP, 97VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "I rated the 2014 No 8 Cumulus Vineyard 99 points last year but found this bottle to be literally as good as it gets. Made from 38% Syrah, 33% Grenache, 16% Touriga Nacional, and the balance Mourvèdre and Petite Sirah, fermented with 43% whole clusters and aged in close to equal parts new and used French oak, it offers a heavenly bouquet of black raspberries, white chocolate, exotic spices, and graphite. This flows to a full-bodied wine that has off-the-charts purity and elegance, a deep, layered, multi-dimensional texture, not a hard edge to be found, and a finish that won’t quit. The 2014s are upfront and approachable (there’s plenty of similarities to the 2016s) yet this beauty is going to cruise in the cellar on its purity, depth, and balance. It’s a true 'Wow' wine!" (10/2018)
Current Bid: $350.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1992 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 94WS). Wine Advocate: "An attractive dark plum/purple color is followed by sweet aromas of creme de cassis, spring flowers and a touch of background oak. This opulent, full-bodied, sexy, full-throttle Insignia is drinking beautifully. As the wine sits in the glass, mature aromas of black tea and charcuterie begin to emerge...(RP)" (11/2013)
Current Bid: $460.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2021 Kosta Browne Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir (94RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2021 Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands comes from Garys', Rosella's, Pisoni, Sierra Mar and Soberanes vineyards, and it was matured for 14 months in 49% new oak. It has a medium ruby color and a deep well of aromas: pomegranate, raspberry and cranberry are accented by touches of autumn leaves, tea leaves and spice. The palate is light-bodied, gently chalky and mouthwatering with generous spicy fruit and a long, layered finish replete with floral tones. (EB)" (06/2023)
Current Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2021 Kistler "McCrea Vineyard" Sonoma Mountain Chardonnay (97JS, 97TWI, 95DC, 95JD, 95RP, 95WS, 94VN). James Suckling: "This is grippy and intense with so much dried fruit with pineapple, grapefruit skin and lemon and lime. Full body, dense and layered with a bright and intense finish. Very contrasting and powerful wine, but it feels energized at the end." (03/2023)
Current Bid: $370.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Carruades de Lafite, Pauillac (93DC, 91ST, 91WE). Decanter: "This has understated elegance on the attack, confident and quietly brilliant with flavours of cassis, bilberry, hedgerow and a basket full of darkly brambled fruits alongside tobacco and menthol notes. Flavoursome, subtle and multi-faceted - this is still fresh and full of life. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 10% new oak. (JA)" (09/2020)
Current Bid: $550.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1986 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (95DC, 95RP, 92VN, 92WS). Wine Advocate: "The 1986 is a highly extracted wine, with a black/ruby color and plenty of toasty, smoky notes in its bouquet that suggest ripe plums and licorice. Evolving at a glacial pace, it exhibits massive, huge, ripe, extremely concentrated flavors with impressive depth and richness. It possesses more power, weight, and tannin than the more opulent and currently more charming 1985." (10/1994)
Current Bid: $430.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 97VN) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, including fruit from some of the oldest Cabernet vines still in existence in Napa. This full-bodied classic displays notes of forest floor, earth, crème de cassis, blackberry liqueur, licorice and some pen ink. It is dense, full-bodied, prodigiously rich, massive in intensity, yet relatively light on its feet. This great ballerina of a wine has extraordinary ripeness but pulls back from the edge before going over the top. There are 1, 000 cases of this classic, which should age effortlessly for 30+ years. (RP)" (12/2015)
Current Bid: $2,100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Occidental "Cuvée Elizabeth - Bodegas Headlands" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97JD, 95VN, 93RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of my favorites in the lineup (but we are splitting hairs), the 2017 Pinot Noir Bodega Headlands Vineyard Cuvee Elizabeth comes from the estate vineyard located around the estate, lying at 400 to 750 feet in elevation. Mostly potential at this point, its dense purple hue is followed by incredibly pure notes of black raspberries, mulberries, pine forest, spring flowers, and an almost iodine/seaside-like salinity and minerality. Medium to full-bodied, with bright acidity, it’s an energetic, racy yet brilliantly balanced, lengthy Pinot Noir that’s going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for a decade. This is another thrilling wine from Steve Kistler and family." (05/2020)
Current Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 98JS, 98RP, 97VN). Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, it rolls sensuously out of the glass with decadent scents of boysenberries, black cherries, redcurrant jelly and blackcurrant pastilles with hints of bouquet garni, black soil and iron ore. Full-bodied, the taut, tightly knit black and red fruit has a firm structure of ripe, grainy tannins and bags of freshness, finishing very long with loads of earth and mineral nuances coming through. (LPB) 98+" (10/2020)
Current Bid: $660.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2013 Justin "Eighty One" Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon and 1-bottle of 2014 Justin "Eighty One" Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon. Of the 2013 Justin "Eighty One" Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon, In 1981, Justin Baldwin began a quest to make fine wines in Paso Robles based on the traditions of the winemaking region of Bordeaux. Now, with decades of experience making great wines with this varietal, they chose to name this wine "Eighty One" to honor the year they began their journey. Produced in very limited quantities, "Eighty One" is a stunning example of a world-class Cabernet Sauvignon that balances power and complexity. And, like the best California Cabernet Sauvignon, this has an ability to age beautifully.
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Pride Mountain Napa-Sonoma Counties Merlot (92ST, 90RP). Int'l Wine Cellar: "Moderately saturated bright red-ruby. Sexy aromas of currant, black cherry, chocolate, mocha and brown spices. At once sweet and precise, with captivating inner-mouth floral perfume to the firm-edged flavors of dark berries, graphite and fresh herbs. A bit youthfully taut but this is very impressive for a wine made in large quantity (5, 300 cases in 2010). Finishes with lovely verve and the spine for aging. (ST)" (05/2013)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2009 L'Aventure "The Sibling" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (92RP, 92VN) and 1-bottle of 2011 L'Aventure "The Sibling" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (91RP, 90WS). Of the 2009 L'Aventure "The Sibling" Paso Robles Rhône Blend, Vinous writes: "(35% each of grenache and mourvedre, the rest syrah): Dark purple. Sexy, intensely perfumed bouquet of raspberry, mulberry, cola, Asian spices and fresh rose. Vibrant and precise, with excellent clarity to its seamless red and dark berry flavors. Finishes sweet and spicy, with excellent energy and nervy persistence. I really like this wine's balance and focus. (JR)" (11/2011)
Current Bid: $75.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2021 Linne Calodo "Rising Tides" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97JD, 96JS, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2021 Rising Tides checks in as 60% Grenache, 37% Syrah, and a splash of Mourvèdre that was raised in just 20% new French oak. Its semi-opaque ruby/plum hue is followed by a thrillingly perfumed red loaded with notions of kirsch liqueur, peppery herbs, candied flowers, and wild strawberries. It's full-bodied, round, seamless, and incredibly polished on the palate, with gorgeous tannins. A stunning wine readers will love, it should evolve for a decade. " (08/2023)
Current Bid: $196.02

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2020 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (97JS, 96WE, 95DC). James Suckling: "Aromas of dark strawberries, ripe strawberries, crushed stone, iron and dried tile dust. Turns to light chocolate. Full-bodied and layered with lots of ripe strawberries, but it remains juicy and savory. Flavorful finish. Plenty of fruit but energetic and racy. Drink or hold." (03/2023)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Dana Estates "Onda d'Oro" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Onda is the second wine of Dana Estates. Robert Parker writes: "Proprietor Hi Sang Lee has resurrected this once historic estate in Rutherford where the winery was first constructed in 1883 by H. W. Helms... They also produce a wine called Onda, which is meant to be a more forward styled, lower priced effort. Kudos to Hi Sang Lee and his son for resurrecting this historic estate." (10/2013)
Current Bid: $295.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2021 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100DC, 100JS, 98VN, 97JD) in original wood. James Suckling: "The aromas are subtle yet enticing with lavender and rose petal notes. So aromatic and perfumed. Lots of currants and hints of spearmint. Chanel No. 5? Medium-bodied with super fine tannins that run the length of the wine with crunchy tannins that are energetic and vivid. It grows and grows and turns almost flamboyant. Goes on for minutes with a compressed and vibrant finish. Mostly cabernet sauvignon with some cabernet franc and a tiny percent of merlot and petit verdot. Drink it now to love and understand the potential. But it will age beautifully. Try after 2030." (02/2024)
Current Bid: $2,750.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 2003 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L). Vinous: "Bright ruby-red, a bit less saturated than the 2004. Expressive maturing aromas of redcurrant, plum, blueberry, leather, smoke, mocha, cedar and tobacco leaf. Supple and sweet if not especially deep, with hints of herbs and peppery spices perking up the middle palate. This slightly lean midweight finishes with a touch of sweetness, moderate dusty tannins and a faint tart edge. (ST)" (09/2012)
Current Bid: $340.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2013 Hourglass "Blueline Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94VN, 94WE, 93JD, 92WS, 91RP). Vinous: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueline wraps around the palate with striking depth. The 2013 has softened quite a bit over the last year, which has allowed the opulence and intensity of the fruit to emerge more fully. Hints of leather, smoke, spice and dark-fleshed fruit are all pushed forward. (AG)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $350.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Vietti "Rocche" Barolo (97VN, 96RP, 95ST, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2004 Barolo Rocche is pure silk on the palate. Like so many 2004 Barolos I have had recently, the Rocche is a bit subdued, but its class is impossible to miss. Sweet floral and spice notes give the 2004 its aromatic lift. This is Rocche at its most classic. I still remember tasting this wine from cask. It was striking back then and is every bit as captivating on this night. (AG)" (05/2016)
Current Bid: $501.23

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2021 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (97JS, 97RP, 96VN, 96WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2021 Chardonnay Eastside—from a chert-rich vineyard planted in 2006—features scents of crushed stone and dried herbs, a hint of pastry crust and bright tangerine and lime fruit. Like the rest of Aubert's Chardonnays, it's unabashedly rich yet simultaneously cool and structured, with crisp citrus and complex spice notes on the lingering finish. (JC)" (07/2024)
Current Bid: $290.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2003 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret (96RP, 96WE, 95WS, 94ST). (RP)" (12/2005)

Of the 2005 Sanguis "Optimist" Santa Barbara County Syrah, Wine Advocate writes: "My favorite offering in this current portfolio is the 2005 The Optimist from the Westerly Vineyard. A blend of 97% Syrah and 3% Viognier, it offers complex aromas of bacon fat, black raspberries, blackberries, smoked meat, and earth. The wine is sexy, forward, medium to full-bodied, and opulent with beautiful purity and depth. This gorgeous red can be drunk now and over the next 7-10 years. (RP)" (06/2008)

Current Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Saxum "Bone Rock-James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (93RP, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "Also evolving gracefully and drinking at point, the 2001 James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock (92% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre and 3% Grenache which spent 22 months in French and Hungarian oak) offers up serious purity and richness, with a silky, seamless profile on the palate. Creme de cassis, blackberry, licorice, roasted meats and hints of vanilla and graphite all show here, and this full-bodied Syrah is still balanced, with excellent mid-palate richness and terrific length. Taking an hour to perform at its best, and holding up beautifully over the evening, it’s in no danger of falling apart, and I’ve no doubt it will have a gradual evolution over the coming decade or so. (JD)" (07/2014)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97JD, 97JS, 97VN, 97WE, 94W&S). Wine Advocate: "Very deep inky-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is incredibly intense and impactful on the nose, revealing notes of crushed black cherries, blackberries and fresh black currants with underlying notions of charcoal, sautéed herbs, black soil, chargrilled meat and pencil lead, plus a waft of violets. Very full-bodied, very rich and wonderfully concentrated, the wall of fruit is well matched by a firm structure of ripe, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with great length and depth. (LPB) 98+" (10/2017)
Current Bid: $410.00

Bid on this magnum of 2009 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux (1.5L) (98JS, 96RP, 94DC, 94WS). James Suckling: "A wine, with intense spice and berry character, with hints of sweet tobacco. It changes all the time from flowers to fruit and wet earth. Full-bodied, with super fine tannins and ripe fruit. It's long and juicy with lovely fruit. Super long and beautiful, with fine tannins that last for minutes. Tight now, but juicy and gorgeous. Best ever from here." (02/2012)
Current Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Tor Kenward "Beckstoffer To Kalon - Old B" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 92ST). Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Old B wraps around the palate with layers of dark red fruit, smoke, tar, licorice and spices. This is a gorgeous and rather open, perfumed wine from To Kalon that convinces for its overall balance and finesse. Sweet, floral notes reappear on the finish. (AG)" (12/2011)
Starting Bid: $315.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99IWR, 99RP, 98JD, 97JS, 97VN). Wine Advocate: "Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard has a deep garnet-purple color, requiring a little coaxing before it spills out of the glass with fantastically showy blackberry preserves, boysenberries and cassis notes, plus hints of black raspberries, clove oil and potpourri, with a touch of tobacco leaf. The decadent, full-bodied palate sports a firm backbone of ripe, grainy tannins with beautiful freshness. All that generous black fruit melds seamlessly into a very long, mineral-laced finish. (LPB)" (09/2021)
Current Bid: $665.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Smith Haut Lafitte Rouge, Pessac-Léognan (100JD, 100RP, 98DC, 97JA, 96JS, 96WS). Wine Advocate: "The finest wine ever made by proprietors Daniel and Florence Cathiard, the 2009 Smith-Haut-Lafitte exhibits an opaque blue/purple color in addition to a glorious nose of acacia flowers, licorice, charcoal, blueberries, black raspberries, lead pencil shavings and incense. This massive, extraordinarily rich, unctuously textured wine may be the most concentrated effort produced to date, although the 2000, 2005 and 2010 are nearly as prodigious. A gorgeous expression of Pessac-Leognan with sweet tannin, emerging charm and delicacy, and considerable power, depth, richness and authority, it should age effortlessly for 30-40+ years. Bravo! (RP)" (02/2012)

This smaller cuvée of just over 500 cases displays lots of chocolate and espresso notes, plenty of glycerin, and touches of background oak, spice box, blackberry and black cherry jam. Current Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Vérité "Le Désir" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 98DC, 97WE, 96ST, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "The fruit for this blend of 61% Cabernet Franc, 31% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec came from Chalk Hill (58%) and Alexander Valley (42%). Pierre Seillan believes the Chalk Hill fruit provides a truffle-like character and the Alexander Valley gives minerality, structure, tannin and intensity. The 2008 will be fascinating to taste next to the 2007 over the next 30+ years. Sweet mulberry, blueberry and blackberry fruit intermixed with notions of black truffles, damp earth and forest floor emerge from this beauty of stunning intensity, purity and texture. (RP)" (05/2011)
Starting Bid: $540.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Troplong Mondot, St-Émilion (100JD, 99TWI, 97WE, 96JS, 96RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Pure perfection in a glass, the incredible 2009 Troplong Mondot offers off the chart notes of blackcurrants, licorice, truffles and saddle leather that just soar from the glass. This is a big, ripe, incredibly sexy wine that hits the palate with a huge texture, building, ripe tannin, no weight, and a finish that just won't quit. Utterly brilliant stuff, it's slightly more approachable than the 2005, but both of these vintages play in the same style. Bravo!" (11/2017)
Current Bid: $510.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Wayfarer "Wayfarer Vineyard" Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir (94VN, 94WE, 93JD, 91BH). Vinous: "The 2013 Pinot Noir Wayfarer Vineyard is supple, expressive and exceptionally beautiful. Plump red cherries, plums, cinnamon and rose petals meld together in a racy, effortless Pinot built on texture and nuance. Beams of acidity and minerality give the 2013 much of its energy and delineation. This is a great introduction to the wines of the property. The Wayferer is a blend of 12 different clones from various parcels scattered across the property." (01/2015)
Starting Bid: $225.00

Bid on this bottle of 1980 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100DC, 99JA, 95VN). Decanter: "One of the coolest seasons on record, the acidity has kept this extraordinary wine so young and vibrant, with unbeatable elegance and class – a triumph. (SS)" (05/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 1982 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (99JD, 98DC, 97RP, 96JA, 95WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Tasted at the domaine, the 1982 Leoville Las Cases is just about pure perfection, and while certainly mature, it has plenty of life ahead of it. Thrilling notes of blackcurrants, kirsch, tobacco leaf, cedar box, menthol, and exotic spices all emerge from this seamless, powerful yet magically elegant Léoville Las Cases. Opening up in the glass, with a smoky, singular character, it's an incredible wine from this terroir that has an almost Latour-like regal quality." (06/2019)

Bid on this bottle of Krug "Grande Cuvée" 170ème Édition Brut Champagne (96DC, 96JS, 96VN, 96WE, 95JD, 95JG, 95RP, 95WS). Vinous: "The NV Grande Cuvée 170ème Édition, (2014 base vintage) is rich, ample and explosive. Wonderfully fresh and vibrant, the 170 offers an exotic mélange of dried orchard fruit, pear, spice and crushed flowers. Chef de Caves Eric Lebel was not especially excited about 2014 when I saw him a few months after the harvest, as yields in Pinot Noir and Meunier were adversely affected. Perhaps for that reason the 170 contains more reserve wines than most editions. Regardless, the Krug team crafted an absolutely brilliant Grande Cuvée. (AG)" (03/2024)
Current Bid: $252.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Kapcsándy "Estate Cuvée - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (93RP, 91VN, 90JS). Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Estate Cuvee State Lane Vineyard (a blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc) possesses a dark plum/purple color as well as notes of roasted coffee, cocoa, chocolate, black currants, sweet cherries, and subtle oak. Medium to full-bodied, elegant, layered, intense, pure, and long, it is approachable now, but promises to drink well for two decades or more. (RP) 93+" (12/2009)
Current Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2013 Lazy Susan Ranch (The Vineyardist) Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Lazy Susan Ranch, also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon coming from clones 33 and 169 and slightly higher yields of 1.5 tons of fruit per acre, is an even smaller cuvée of 145 cases. The wine emerges from a different parcel of red Aiken iron-rich soils, as opposed to the volcanic tufa and fractured bedrock of its sibling. This wine offers loads of cedar wood, cr?me de cassis, licorice and forest floor in a full-bodied, opulent style. The fruit is beautifully pure, the oak well-integrated, and the wine gorgeous. It’s top, top-flight, clearly world-class and should drink well for 20-25 years." (10/2015)
Current Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Aubert "Larry Hyde and Sons Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay ((97-100RP), 97JS, 96WS). Wine Advocate: "This section is planted to Corton-Charlemagne clone on St. George rootstock. A barrel sample, it is being aged in 50% new French oak barrels. Whoa—the 2019 Chardonnay Larry Hyde & Sons explodes from the glass with bombastic scents of sea spray, freshly shaved ginger, lemon curd and grapefruit plus emerging hints of green guava, lime cordial and coriander seed with a waft of struck flint. Full-bodied, rich and lively, the palate is remarkably fruity and yet possesses loads of mineral sparks and savory nuances, finishing very long and spicy. This vintage no doubt played to the strengths of this site beautifully in 2019, delivering a very impressive wine of amazing singularity and intensity. (LPB)" (01/2021)
Current Bid: $185.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Cappellano "Otin Fiorin - Piè Rupestris" Barolo. Vinous: "The 2015 Barolo Rupestris is a classic Rupestris built on texture, volume and resonance. Of course, the 2015 still needs quite a bit of time in bottle to come together, but it is wonderfully deep and fleshy today. Hints of dried flowers, sage, mint and crushed raspberry develop in the glass, but more than anything, the Rupestris is a wine of breadth and resonance. Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2010 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94VN, 92WS, 91ST). Vinous: "The 2010 Proprietary Red bursts from the glass with dark red cherries, plums, menthol, licorice, tobacco and incense. Rich, layered and explosive, the 2010 boasts gorgeous depth and poise. Sweet grilled herbs, tobacco and new leather flow through to the intense, textured finish. Ideally, the 2010 is best left alone for another few years. The super-ripe, racy finish is a bit uncharacteristic for the year, but it is nicely balanced by the 2010 tannins. This is another terrific showing from Pahlmeyer. (AG)" (11/2013)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Skipstone "Oliver's Blend" Alexander Valley Bordeaux Blend (94VN, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2010 Oliver's Blend is gorgeous. A deep, intriguing wine, the 2010 is loaded with considerable aromatic and flavor complexity. Smoke, bacon fat, ash, incense, tobacco, plums and black cherries meld together in the glass. There is an intense vein of underlying minerality that gives the wine much of its focus and energy. Readers will have to be patient with the 2010. It is a dark, brooding wine that needs time to blossom in bottle, but is beautiful, even at this early stage. In 2010 the blend is 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Merlot. (AG)" (07/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 1961 Angelus, St-Emilion. A five-star vintage, according to esteemed critic Michael Broadbent in his book Vintage Wines, who wrote of it: "A great vintage often compared to the 1945 for the two have several things in common. First of all, nature did the pruning' frosts severely reducing the potential crop in 1945 and heavy rain washing away the pollen in 1961. Though there was persistent rain in July, there was a drought in August, followed by a very sunny September, which resulted in a harvest of small, thick-skinned, well-nourished grapes in turn producing deeply couloured, ripe but concentrated and tannic wines."
