Bid on this bottle of 1978 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (92WS, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "Supple yet strong willed, this is mature enough for drinking now, with chocolate, cherry, violet, vanilla and raspberry notes." (05/1991)
Current Bid: $390.00

Bid on this bottle of 1982 Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac (100DC, 98JA, 98RP, 97VN, 96JS). Decanter: "A demure yet confident beauty, the 1982 Lafite is in its prime and will delight anyone privy to an audience. Scents of tobacco, sandalwood and spice box waft with increasing intensity as this sits in the glass, then it floats across the palate leaving a persistent trail of stony minerals: flint and graphite along with preserved cherries are laced with sweet, smoky incense, and radiant acidity gives a perception of weightlessness while shedding light on the wine’s depths. So effortlessly and elegantly framed, and as exquisitely perfect as this is now, there is nothing to suggest it will fade any time soon. (MM)" (05/2023)
Current Bid: $1,250.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Domaine Dagueneau "Pur Sang" Pouilly-Fumé (96VN). Vinous: " What I love most about the 2019 Pur Sang is its focus and precision; the compact, light bodied core carries masses of fragrance across the palate and beyond on the long finish. There's clarity and freshness, with a thread of acidity and minerality pulling the wine through like a needle and thread. It is starting to show the very first hints of time in bottle with a hint of almond alongside the ripe melon notes and nettle tea character. Impressive stuff from this three-hectare parcel in the village of Saint Laurent l'Abbaye, about 5km northeast of the Dagueneau domaine. (RG)" (08/2022)
Current Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Bruno Giacosa "Falletto" Barolo (98JS, 94WS). James Suckling: "Superb aromas of ripe fruit, such as plums and berries with peaches and tar. Very intense. Full body, great depth and density. Incredible richness and power with superb length and persistence. One of the most dense and vertical Falletos I have tasted. " (01/2019)
Current Bid: $280.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Villa Creek Cellars "This Way & That Way" Red Blend (97JD, 95VN, 93WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Checking in as an even split of Grenache and Syrah from the estate MAHA Vineyard and James Berry Vineyard, the 2017 This Way That Way has a meaty, spicy style as well as lots of blueberry and cherry fruit, notes of ground pepper and violets, full-bodied richness, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. It's straight-up classy and just a stunning wine from this estate. It should easily evolve for a decade as well." (09/2020)
Current Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Andremily California Grenache (97JD, 95RP, 94VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Moving to the 2019s from bottle, the 2019 Grenache offers a slightly more floral and perfumed style, with kirsch liqueur, herbes de Provence, sandalwood, and licorice. This carries to a medium to full-bodied Grenache that has a seamless, layered texture, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. It's a more ethereal, perfumed, ultra-fine effort that will drink well for 15 years or more." (08/2022)
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino (95JS, 94RP, 93VN, 91WS). James Suckling: "Intense aromas of flowers and dark cherries. Perfumed and bright for the vintage. Full-bodied and firm with chewy yet polished tannins and a succulent and fruity finish that is in line and framed. Give it two or three years to soften." (11/2021)
Current Bid: $195.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Screaming Eagle "The Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99JS, 97VN, 94JD) in original wood. James Suckling: "Extremely floral and aromatic with violets and lavender throughout. Black olives, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, very fine-grained tannins that run the length of the wine. Goes on for minutes. A greenish undertone comes out at the end with some spearmint, green tea and green olive." (03/2022)
Current Bid: $1,793.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (96JS, 96TWI, 95DC, 95JD, 95RP, 95VN, 95WE, 94WS). James Suckling: "The typicity of La Mission is really here. Aromas of iodine, oyster shell, currants and orange peel are evident. Full-bodied, tight and tannic with a muscular and toned texture that holds the wine down at the moment, but it’s waiting to release its joy and true nature. Fine-grained." (02/2017)
Current Bid: $360.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2016 Wayfarer "Paige's Ridge" Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir (98JD, 95RP) and 1-bottle of 2019 Wayfarer "Wayfarer Vineyard" Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir (1.5L) (95RP, 95WE, 94JD, 94WS, 93JS, 93VN). Of the 2016 Wayfarer "Paige's Ridge" Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "From a single block and single clone (clone 667), the 2016 Pinot Noir Paige's Ridge is the tiniest production cuvée with only 40 cases made. Completely destemmed and brought up in just 50% new French oak, it offers more richness and flesh, with lots of cassis, toasted spice, black raspberries, and candied flowers. Deep, full-bodied, incredibly textured and perfectly balanced, it’s another extraordinary Pinot Noir from this great site and great winemaker.(JD)" (06/2018)
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this magnum of 2019 Riise "Peace" Paso Robles Rhone Blend (1.5L) (95JD, 93RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Syrah Based Blend is 75% Syrah and the rest a mix of Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 26 months in 70% new barrels. Blackberries, peppery herbs, graphite, and some spicy wood notes all define the bouquet, and this beauty is full-bodied, with a plush, sexy texture, ripe yet substantial tannins, and a great finish. Give it a few years and enjoy over the following decade or more. It's a classic, ripe, yet perfectly balanced Paso Robles Syrah." (09/2022)
Current Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2019 Ridge Vineyards "Benito Dusi Ranch" Paso Robles Zinfandel (94JS, 93RP, 93VN, 93WS, 92WE) and 2-bottles of 2019 Ridge Vineyards "Benito Dusi Ranch" Paso Robles Zinfandel (94JS, 93RP, 93VN, 93WS, 92WE). Of the 2019 Ridge Vineyards "Benito Dusi Ranch" Paso Robles Zinfandel, James Suckling writes: "Soft and round with dried fruit, light raisin and pepper. Some chocolate, too. It’s medium-bodied, juicy and flavorful. Spicy finish. Pure zin. Drink now." (01/2022)
Current Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Hamel Family "Nuns Canyon" Moon Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 92DC). Jeb Dunnuck: "Made from 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Nun's Canyon Vineyard pours a deep red with a purple tinge. I love its layered aromas of red and black fruit, fresh wild herbs, and lifted graphitic earth. Full-bodied without weight, it has great structure, with loads of rocky earth, black cherry, black raspberry, and savory herbs, as well as notes of olive on the finish. I love this wine for aging another couple of years and to drink over the following 15. (AF)" (07/2023)
Current Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2022 Tor Kenward "Black Magic" Napa Valley Red Blend (98JS, 97RP, 95TWI, 92VN). James Suckling: "Powerful, polished and impressive, showing great concentration and depth. A good portion of petit verdot adds even darker fruit to the majority of cabernet sauvignon. This offers dried blueberries, crushed blackberries, cocoa, graphite, minerals and dusky plums on muscular tannins that will carry it for decades. Full-bodied. Best after 2030. (JG)" (09/2024)
Starting Bid: $1,030.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Agrapart "Avizoise" Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (93VN). Vinous: "The 2015 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs L’Avizoise Grand Cru stands out in this range for its breadth and power. Lemon peel, savory herbs, dried flowers, grapefruit and mint lend a bit of upper register and aromatic presence. Slight vegetal notes, a characteristic of any 2015s, lurk beneath, while texturally the Avizoise is on the lighter side. For those reasons, I would not push my luck on aging. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: May, 2021. (AG)" (11/2021)
Current Bid: $280.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Magdelaine, St-Emilion (94JG, 93WE, 93WS, 92RP, 92ST). John Gilman: "The 2000 vintage at Château Magdelaine is more powerful in profile than the lovely 2001, but the two are probably comparable in quality and just a bit different in style. The bouquet of the 2000 is really lovely today, jumping from the glass in a mix of red and black cherries, sweet dark berries, cigar ash, coffee bean, dark soil tones and a nice foundation of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, structured and rock solid in the mid-palate, with firm, fine-grained tannins, good acids, lovely focus and a long, well balanced and very promising finish." (09/2022)
Current Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Joseph Phelps "Backus" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96RP, 93JS). Vinous: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Backus Vineyard is a total turn-on. Deep, plush and exotic, the 2013 is also remarkably polished for a wine of its considerable size. There is a real sense of depth and gravitas that runs through the 2013. I would prefer to cellar the 2013 for at least a few years to allow the intense, dark fruit to be at its most expressive. (AG)" (12/2016)
Current Bid: $455.00

Bid on this bottle of 1960 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac. "Often the most exotic and perfumed wine of the Medoc, Mouton-Rothschild was promoted from second to first-growth status in 1973, the only chateau to be so elevated since 1855. Its dramatic cassis and black cherry fruitiness, along with mineral and graphite notes, are complimented by nuances of smoke, char, coffee, and chocolate from the 100 percent new oak barrels." - From Stephen Tanzer's Wine Access Buyer's Guide, 2006.
Starting Bid: $315.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 2017 G.D. Vajra "Albe" Barolo (3L) (OWC - 93RP, 92JS, 92WS, 91VN) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "This is one of the most accessible and trustworthy wines you can buy from Piedmont. Keeping in line with past vintages, the G.D. Vajra 2017 Barolo Albe opens to medium concentration and a very expressive or fruit-forward bouquet. This hot-climate 2017 edition shows a little more ripeness and roundness as is to be expected, but these results are a safe bet nonetheless. Cherry and raspberry aromas are followed by blue flower and pressed violets. Set this bottle aside for medium or long-term drinking. Production is an ample 40, 000 bottles (ML)" (06/2021)
Current Bid: $186.01

Bid on this magnum of 2020 Sine Qua Non "Distenta II" California Grenache (1.5L) (99JD, 97RP, 96VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Tasted out of bottle, the 2020 Grenache Distenta II is total blockbuster stuff that's darker and richer than the 2021. Red and black fruits, white pepper, classy leather, and spicy baking chocolate-like nuances all define the aromatics, and it’s deep, full-bodied, and beautifully balanced, with gorgeous tannins and a great finish. The blend is 78% Grenache, 9% Mourvèdre, 8% Syrah, and the rest Petite Sirah (with a splash of Viognier), and it's going to knock your socks off any time over the coming 15+ years." (08/2023)
Starting Bid: $350.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - (96-98RP), 97JS, 95WS) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "The 2012s made from Bordeaux varietals include their flagship wine, the 2012 Proprietary Red Les Pavots, a sensational blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. A prodigious effort, it rivals some of the fabulous past vintages such as 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2007. The inky/purple-colored 2012 boasts classic notes of crème de cassis, roasted coffee, vanilla bean, cedar, forest floor and blueberries. Full-bodied and complex with sweet tannin as well as hints of charcoal and camphor, this opulent, multi-leveled, Bordeaux-styled 2012 can be drunk now or cellared for 25-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2014)
Current Bid: $385.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 G.B. Burlotto "Monvigliero" Barolo (98KO, 97JD, 96RP, 96VN, 94JG, 93WE). Kerin O'Keefe: "The 2018 Barolo Monvigliero from Comm. G.B. Burlotto is absolutely stunning, proving that even in a challenging vintage like 2018, co-owner and winemaker Fabio Alessandria can make sublime, age-worthy wines. It’s fragrant, with classic varietal aromas of fragrant blue flower, red berry, camphor, dark spice and underbrush while the smooth, delicious palate features raspberry compote, ripe cherry, and licorice accompanied by polished tannins. Fresh acidity offers youthful tension. " (07/2022)
Current Bid: $540.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Sine Qua Non "M - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (99JD, 99RP, 98VN). Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Syrah M starts off a little closed, slowly unfurling to show layer upon layer of savory notes: peppered salami, woodsmoke, marmite and black olives, beneath a profound core of preserved plums, blueberry coulis and Chinese five spice with fragrant touches of fenugreek, Sichuan pepper, crushed rocks and mossy bark. Exquisitely textured with firm, rounded tannins, the taut, full-bodied, muscular fruit is laced with seamless freshness, finishing with fantastic persistence. This is a Syrah for the long haul! (LPB)" (06/2019)
Current Bid: $490.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2016 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (1.5L) (100JA, 100JS, 100TWI, 100VN, 100WE, 98JD, 98WS, 97DC). Vinous: The 2016 Haut-Brion is quite possibly even more magnificent from bottle than it was from barrel. Powerful and rich, yet not at all heavy, the 2016 is a wine of nearly indescribable beauty. Haut-Brion is often a thrilling wine, but it is rarely this finessed in its youth. Gravel, cure meat, tobacco and cedar are some of the many nuances that develop with air, but it is an extraordinary sense of harmony that really stands out. What a wine! (AG) (01/2019)
Current Bid: $3,479.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100JD, 100RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard may be even better. Notes of caramelized citrus, hazelnut, apple blossom, lemon oil and orange marmalade are all present in this wine of dazzling aromatic and flavor dimension. It is full-bodied, again shows some wet pebbles (which I equate with minerality), vibrant acidity, and no real evidence of any oak. Much like the 2012, the finish goes on for 45+ seconds. This is another killer Chardonnay from Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer. (RP)" (03/2016)
Current Bid: $1,025.00

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 1996 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (375ml) (95DC, 92JG, 92WS, 91RP, 91ST). Decanter: Deep plum in colour, holding its Pauillac character perfectly at 25 years old, opening up to show cedar, pencil shavings, tobacco, graphite, cassis and touches of raspberry purée. This is very much in the drinking window, with waves of camphor, charcoal, woodsmoke and tobacco adding complexity and interest. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend. (JA) (03/2021)
Current Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 The Third Twin (Sine Qua Non) "Nuestra Señora del Tercer Gemelo" Central Coast Red Blend (100JD, 98RP, 98VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Nuestra Senora Del Tercer Gemelo checks in as a Petite Sirah-dominated blend that includes 22.1% Mourvèdre, 11.5% Graciano, and 3.4% Viognier. It’s the finest Petite Sirah to ever pass my lips and tops out my scale. Insanely good cassis, iron, bloody blue fruits, violets, graphite, and peppery herbs all emerge on the nose, and it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a deep, layered, incredibly seamless texture, no hard edges, and a brilliant finish. Hats off to Monsieur Krankl – I have no idea how he was able to make a Petite Sirah this good." (08/2021)
Current Bid: $330.00

Bid on this magnum of 2004 Bodegas Numanthia-Termes "Numanthia" Toro (1.5L) (98RP, 95WS, 94W&S, 93VN). Wine Advocate: "Any aspiring collectors should add a case of this to their stash. The 2004 Numanthia comes from a different terroir with a different clone of Tinta de Toro. The vines for this cuvee range from 70-100 years of age with tiny yields of 1 ton of fruit per acre. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel followed by 19 months in new French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wine is a glass-coating opaque purple with a killer nose of mineral, pencil lead, wild blueberry, and blackberry liqueur that roars from the glass. (JM)" (02/2007)
Current Bid: $227.00

Bid on this magnum of 2011 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, 94WS, 93JS, 92VN). Wine Advocate: "A brilliant wine, and one of the stars of the vintage, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection boasts aromas of blueberry pie, blackberries, cassis and white flowers. This full-bodied, velvety textured, delicious 2011 is already drinking well, and should continue to do so for 10-12 years. It is a terrific success for the vintage. (RP)" (10/2013)
Current Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 97JS, 97WS, 96VN, 96W&S, 95JD, 95WE, 93CG). Wine Advocate: "he 2018 Monte Bello is as classic a release from this storied site as ever. It contains 17% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. A ravishing, multidimensional nose of wet clay, cocoa powder, peperoncini, cured meat and eucalyptus endlessly expands and congeals with further aeration. The palate precisely stitches together supple concentration and firm, coarse tannins that give sturdiness and intensity to its otherwise medium-bodied frame. The finish is amazingly long and delicious and begins to close down after a few hours, telling me this timeless wine should be left alone for the next 10-12 years. Superb through and through, this wine should excel past its 50th birthday. (ML)" (04/2024)
Current Bid: $450.00

Bid on this magnum of 2019 Continuum Oakville Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (100TWI, 98RP, 97VN, 96JD, 95WE, 95WS). The Wine Independent: "The 2019 Continuum has the highest percentage to date of Cabernet Franc. It is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot, and 6% Merlot, with all the fruit estate grown from Sage Mountain Vineyard on Pritchard Hill and it has a deep garnet-purple color. The nose is closed to begin and needs patience to coax out beautifully pure notes of warm cassis, wild blueberries, chocolate-covered cherries, violets, and iron ore, plus wafts of cinnamon toast, clove oil, and crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firm, with super-ripe, grainy tannins and fantastic tension framing energetic, tightly knit layers, finishing on a long-lingering ferrous note, plus a spray of rose water and candied violets. Simply stunning! (LPB)" (06/2023)
Starting Bid: $390.00

Bid on this magnum of 1987 Dunn "Artist Series" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) in original wood. Joe Czerwinski's notes on the producer for Wine Advocate: "Randy [Dunn] got his start as a crush hand at Caymus, working for Chuck Wagner in 1975. "I learned a lot at Caymus, " he said. "At the time, they had a German winemaker who specialized in Riesling. He didn't know much about red winemaking." Dunn's first vintage under his own label was in 1979—the first few vintages were bottled at Caymus—and in 1985 he left to devote his full time to Dunn. Back in 1982, Randy purchased bulk wine for his first Napa Valley bottling, "I paid $12.50 per gallon and sold it for $12.50 per bottle, " said Dunn. " (5/2022)
Current Bid: $300.00

Bid on this magnum of 2014 Saxum "G2" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (97RP, 94VN, 94WS). Wine Advocate: "Tasted just after bottling and a final blend of 58% Mourvèdre and 42% Grenache, the 2014 G2 Vineyard comes from a site just to the southeast of James Berry (this was formerly known as Gravity Hills Vineyard) that was planted in the late 1990s. The first release from Justin from this site, this beauty sports a deep ruby/purple color as well as a gorgeous, layered bouquet of cured meats, spice, mulled dark fruits, graphite and loads of this chalky minerality that also emerges on the palate. Rich, full-bodied, ultra-pure and impeccably balanced, this seamless, full-bore beauty will need 2-3 years to really shine, and keep for a decade or more after that. (JD)" (09/2016)
Current Bid: $180.00

Bid on this magnum of 2011 Diamond Creek "Red Rock Terrace" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96VN, 95DC, 94RP, 94WS). Vinous: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Rock Terrace is an infant. In a vintage in which so many wines are on the lighter side, the Red Rock is deep, powerful and super-expressive. It is also incredibly young and still in need of cellaring! Dark and vibrant, with soaring aromatics, the 2011 is absolutely gorgeous. This is a fabulous bottle of the 2011, far better than what I remember tasting when the 2011 was first released. (AG)" (05/2022)
Current Bid: $325.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc (93WS, 90RP, 90VN). Wine Spectator: "Wonderful aromas of floral honeysuckle, cream, fig and lemon-lime join hints of green apple, holding a tight focus on the beam of ripe, concentrated flavors. The texture is inviting and supple, with enough racy acidity to keep it all focused. Subtle oak tones linger on the finish. (JL)" (11/2005)
Current Bid: $280.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Cakebread "Dancing Bear Ranch" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Dancing Bear Ranch, a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot from Howell Mountain, is a superstar of the vintage. Beautiful notes of graphite, mulberries, blueberries and blackberries jump from the glass of this dense purple-colored 2012. Its full-bodied opulence, luscious texture, 45+-second finish, purity, texture and uncanny integration of all the component parts are beautiful to behold. (RP)" (10/2014)
Current Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2022 Aubert "Larry Hyde and Sons Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay ((97-99TWI), 97WS, 95VN, 94RP). The Wine Independent: "The 2022 Larry Hyde & Sons Chardonnay, tasted as a barrel sample, rockets from the glass with intense notes of grapefruit essence, juicy white peaches, and fresh pineapple leading to touches of orange blossoms, candied ginger, and chopped cashews with a hint of honeycomb. The full-bodied palate bursts with concentrated stone and tropical fruit layers, supported by a refreshing backbone and creamy texture, leading to a lingering ginger ale note on the finish of this delicious wine. Planted with the Corton Charlemagne and Old Wente clones on St Georges rootstock, this is one of the last vineyards to be harvested, hence a long hang-time. (LPB)" (09/2023)
Current Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Corison "Kronos Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98WE, 97DC, 97JS, 97VN, 96WS, 95JG, 95RP, 93JD). Wine Enthusiast: "From old vines planted nearly 50 years ago, this wine opens in violet and rose. On the palate are seamless layers of cranberry and currant, with an underlying strength of integrated spice, dried herb and oak. Complex and concentrated, this wine is elegantly built to age and evolve, beautifully styled throughout. *Cellar Selection, #3 Top 100 2022* (VB)" (04/2022)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Realm "The Moonracer" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 97JS, 97RP, 97VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Moonracer comes from south-facing blocks on the estate in Stags Leap and is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot. The tannins here are a step up, and this beauty boasts a gorgeous nose of red and black fruits, tobacco leaf, violets, and spice. It’s a more elegant, medium to full-bodied, seamless wine, accurately described as an iron fist in a velvet glove by winemaker Benoit Touquette. The balance is spot on and it has plenty of up-front appeal, yet it’s going to evolve gracefully for 20-25 years with no issues." (12/2021)
Current Bid: $560.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Pride Mountain "Vintner's Select" Sonoma County Merlot (94RP, 91JD, 90WE, 90WS). Wine Advocate: "Made from 100% Merlot, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Merlot Vintner's Select is flamboyantly scented of warmed black plums, blueberry compote, candied violets and exotic spices with hints of garrigue, fertile loam, licorice and black tea. Medium to full-bodied, the generous black fruits are beautifully perfumed with floral hints and framed by velvety tannins, finishing long and decadently spicy. (LPB)" (12/2018)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 98JS, 98WE, 97JD, 97VN, 96CG, 95DC, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the nose is a little reticent to begin, needing a fair bit of coaxing to reveal beautifully beguiling notions of wild blueberries, warm blackberries, black currant cordial, cloves and cedar chest with nuances of camphor, yeast extract, charcuterie and candied violets. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has fantastic elegance and depth, revealing loads of subtle floral, black fruit and earthy layers with a firm, very finely grained texture and seamless freshness, finishing with epic length. Bid on this bottle of 2014 Peter Michael "Point Rouge" Knights Valley Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "Equally provocative and profound is the magnificent 2014 Chardonnay Point Rouge. Complex notes of tropical fruits intermixed with toast, smoked almonds, brioche and white peach are stunning in this prodigious, full-bodied, multidimensional Chardonnay. Both the 2015 and 2014 are 10- to 15-year wines, but extremely difficult to find in the marketplace. As I have mentioned in the past, readers should note the slight greenish hue to all of the Peter Michael Chardonnays, which seems to be a healthy sign of high-quality fruit and the chlorophyll from the vines. Bid on this bottle of 2000 Giacomo Conterno "Monfortino" Barolo Riserva (98VN, 97RP, 96WS, 93ST). Vinous: "I also very much like the 2000 in this flight. A model of total finesse and delicacy, the 2000 doesn’t have the volume or power of the 1997, but it is perhaps just a bit more finessed. Today, the 2000 is a bit shy. What might it blossom into in a few years’ time? I can’t wait to find out. From magnum, the 2000 Monfortino is pure seduction. Tasted from magnum. (AG)" (05/2014)
