Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2011 Margaux, Margaux (96DC, 95WE, 94JS, 94WS, 93RP, 93VN) and 1-bottle of 2012 Margaux, Margaux (97JA, 96DC, 96RP, 95WE, 95WS, 94JS, 94VN). Of the 2012 Margaux, Margaux, Jane Anson writes: "Graceful, nuanced, totally moriesh. Hugely successful at the 10 year mark, this is rippled with raspberry, white pepper, smoked earth, blond tobacco, cold ash, blueberry and star anise. One of my stars of the lineup, mouthwatering and full of cheer, with waves of fine tannins that are guiding the fruit from beginning to end. Above all finessed but not afraid of pleasure, a balanced Château Margaux that has plenty of time ahead of it. 34% of overall production." (03/2021)
Current Bid: $800.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2013 Rivers-Marie "Lore Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 97VN, 94WS) and 1-bottle of 2013 Rivers-Marie Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 94VN). Of the 2013 Rivers-Marie "Lore Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, Vinous writes: "The undisputed crown jewel in this lineup, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Lore Vineyard is every bit as fabulous in bottle as it was from barrel. Here the impression is of explosive energy and pure verticality. A rush of dark red and black fruit, melted road tar, cloves, licorice and leather punctuates the explosive, creamy finish. All the magic of eastern Oakville comes through in spades. (AG)" (10/2015)
Current Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2015 Francesco Rinaldi "Brunate" Barolo (94WE, 91VN) and 1-bottle of 2016 Francesco Rinaldi "Brunate" Barolo (94VN). Of the 2015 Francesco Rinaldi "Brunate" Barolo, Wine Enthusiast writes: "Rose petal, red berry and menthol aromas mingle with a whiff of forest floor. Full bodied and enveloping, the palate features dried black cherry, licorice and tobacco. Seasoned, densely knit tannins provide support. (KO)" (07/2020)
Current Bid: $145.05

Bid on this bottle of 2017 St. Helena Winery "Sympa" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((91-93RP), (88-91VN)). Wine Advocate: "A barrel sample, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Sympa reveals beautiful redcurrants, kirsch and blackberry notions with hints of dried herbs, lavender, damp soil and tar. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, chewy frame and plenty of freshness, finishing long and savory. (LPB)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $95.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1996 Zind Humbrecht Rotenburg Pinot Gris VT (91VN). Vinous: "A fruit bomb on the nose, with exotic quince, apricot and fruit aromas. Supersweet and intensely spicy, but slightly hard-edged today, with aggressive alcohol and strong acids giving it a youthful toughness. A very rich, powerful VT with a rather tannic finish. This, too, will need bottle aging to settle down and harmonize."
Current Bid: $140.00

Bid on this bottle of 1997 Dow's Vintage Port (95WS, 94WE, 92ST). Wine Spectator: "Warm and inviting, with a worn leather feel to the mix of dried anise, espresso, bittersweet cocoa, steeped fig and mulled currant notes, which move seamlessly together through the buckwheat-edged finish. There's plenty here to like now, but this has ample energy for additional development. *Top 100 Wine of 2000* (JM, Web-2017)"
Current Bid: $91.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 99DC, 97IWR, 96WE). Wine Advocate: "From a hot vintage and incredible any way you look at it, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has that laser-like focus of a cooler year, yet the voluptuousness and richness of a warmer year. Smoked black fruits, coffee, truffle and pen ink-like aromas and flavors all emerge from this massive, incredibly full-bodied effort and on the palate, it carries itself perfectly with a weightless, yet decadent texture, masses of polished tannin and blockbuster length. More classic and textbook than the 2007, it is every bit as good. (JD)" (06/2013)
Current Bid: $410.00

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Schrader "Old Sparky" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 100RP, 98JS) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Sparky, which is essentially made from clone 4 from two separate blocks, clone 6 and clone 337, is another perfect wine from the Schraders. I suppose it’s a little boring to say, and perhaps I can be accused of creating unrealistic expectations on the part of readers, but this is as great as Cabernet can be. Tasting like a first-growth Pauillac, the wine is opaque purple and has a fabulous nose of lead pencil, spring flowers, blueberry and blackberry and the telltale cassis. There is also some licorice and sweet oak, the tannins are ripe, and the wine full-bodied. (RP)" (10/2015)
Current Bid: $1,125.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2021 Sheridan "Block 1" Yakima Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
Current Bid: $121.19

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Louis M. Martini "Lot #1" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93WS, 91RP). Wine Spectator: "Offers a charming mix of rich flavors, graceful texture and deft balance, with a long, persistent finish, echoing dark berry, licorice, cedar and light mocha. (KM)" (05/2018)
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2018 Bella Oaks Rutherford Proprietary Red (98JD, 98RP, 98VN, 97DC, 95WS). Vinous: "A majestic, totally riveting wine, the 2018 Bella Oaks Proprietary Red Wine soars out of the glass with breathtaking aromatics. The 2018 reveals layer after layer of complexity with time in the glass in a stunning display that is hard to fully describe. Dark cherry/plum fruit, mocha, dried herb and floral notes build into the sensual, utterly riveting finish. This is a mind-blowing debut from proprietor Suzanne Deal Booth and winemaker Nigel Kinsman. Wow!! (AG)" (01/2021)
Current Bid: $1,265.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Petits Monts" ((90-92BH)). Burghound: "An ultra-spicy nose is comprised by essence of plum liqueur, violet, lavender and once again moderate wood influence. There is excellent richness to the velvet-textured and mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that coat the mouth with sappy dry extract on the tautly muscular and notably powerful finish. Petits Monts can alternate between a wine of refinement and finesse, or be like a mini Richebourg; in 2015 this is like a smaller version of the domaine's Richebourg. (Drink starting 2025)" (01/2017)
Current Bid: $508.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2013 Fantesca Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon, 1-bottle of 2016 Fantesca Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1-bottle of 2019 Fantesca Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon. Of the 2013 Fantesca Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon, Fantesca is a Spring Mountain District estate with 10 acres of vineyards that were replanted in 1997. Originally a historic 19th century vineyard with ties to Charles Krug, the property's viticulture didn't survive Phylloxera and prohibition and was reclaimed by the surrounding forest for more than 70 years. After the vineyard was reclaimed and the new estate erected, famed winemaker Heidi Barret came on board in 2008 to craft the estate's wines.
Current Bid: $257.52

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Vice Versa "Beatrix - Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 97RP). Wine Advocate: "Roughly a 65-35 blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Beatrix Red Wine features a characteristic tobacco-ash Cab Franc character on the nose, plus hints of red berries, cola and dark chocolate. It's full-bodied, slightly open-knit, plush and opulent, with a long, gently warming finish that hints of salted licorice. At 63 cases produced, I suspect one will have to be on the mailing list to have a shot at obtaining a bottle. (JC)" (10/2022)
Current Bid: $321.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 D.R. Stephens "Moose Valley Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WE, 94WS, 90RP, 90VN). Wine Enthusiast: " Here's one of the most ageworthy wines of the vintage. A 100% Cabernet, its grapes come from a vineyard in eastern St. Helena, off the Silverado Trail. Cab's usual blackberries and cassis are there, along with classic elements of green olives and herbs, with a funkiness that adds an umami tang. Very finely constructed, very complex, spicy and delicious. Give it six years, at least. " (11/2011)
Current Bid: $120.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2009 Giuseppe e Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo (96KO, 94RP, 92VN, 92WS) and 1-bottle of 2011 Giuseppe e Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo (95RP, 95W&S, 95WE, 95WS, 92VN). Of the 2009 Giuseppe e Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo, Kerin O'Keefe writes: "One of Barolo’s most iconic bottlings, this gorgeous wine shows breeding and elegance despite the extreme heat of the vintage. It boasts a beautiful fragrance of red rose, violet and perfumed berry with a whiff of cake spices. The silky palate delivers succulent wild cherry, licorice, white pepper and cinnamon impeccably balanced by supple tannins and fresh acidity. Very impressive. " (09/2014)
Current Bid: $296.12

Bid on this bottle of Quinta do Noval 20 Year Old Tawny Port (92WS). Wine Spectator: "Singed almond, walnut husk and bitter orange notes lead the way here, while dried cherry and peach fruit follows along. Racy, fresh, mouthwatering finish has a flash of green tea. (JM)" (02/2021)
Current Bid: $47.00

Bid on this magnum of 2010 Blackbird "Contrarian" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (94WE, 93RP, 93ST, 92CG, 92JS). Wine Enthusiast: "So soft and dense in richness, this is easy to enjoy now. But you really want to restrain that impulse and give it some time in the cellar. Blended from roughly equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, it's dry and tannic, but with a molten core of blackberries, cherries, blueberries, anise and sweet new oak. Very fine, very elaborate and complex. *Cellar Selection*" (08/2013)
Current Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1975 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton Springs" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel (90JG). John Gilman: "The 1975 Lytton Springs Zinfandel is not quite as vibrant today as its 1974 sibling, but the wine continues to drink beautifully and will offer up a lot of complexity and silky pleasure for at least another dozen years. This is about as low octane as zinfandel can be, coming in at 11.7 percent alcohol and offering up a complex and fully mature bouquet of red and black raspberries, fruitcake, lovely spice tones, bonfires, dried eucalyptus, a touch of coffee and a fine base of soil. On the palate the wine is medium-full, complex and intensely flavored, with excellent focus and grip and a very, very long, low fat and zesty finish. " (10/2015)
Current Bid: $256.00

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Screaming Eagle "The Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99JS, 97VN, 94JD). James Suckling: "Extremely floral and aromatic with violets and lavender throughout. Black olives, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, very fine-grained tannins that run the length of the wine. Goes on for minutes. A greenish undertone comes out at the end with some spearmint, green tea and green olive." (03/2022)
Current Bid: $555.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 La Spinetta (Rivetti) "Campè" Barolo.
Current Bid: $186.00

Bid on this magnum of 2009 La Croix de Beaucaillou, St-Julien (1.5L) (94JA, (92-94WE), 93JS, 91RP, 91WS, (87-90ST)). Wine Enthusiast: "This has fruit, with delicious black berry fruits. It charms with elegance and ripeness at the same time as giving a core of tannin. Definitely on the fruity side." (03/2011)
Current Bid: $90.88

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Luciano Sandrone "Le Vigne" Barolo (100RP, 98VN, 97JS, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "I absolutely adore this wine on every emotional and intellectual level. I can still taste it today, weeks after my first sampling. The Luciano Sandrone 2016 Barolo Le Vigne is a stirring and profound expression that pulls on your heartstrings. I found it to be unforgettable, quite literally, inspiring one of those celebrated "wow" moments that we wine lovers so desperately seek in bottle after bottle. (ML)" (07/2020)
Current Bid: $291.99

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Podere Il Carnasciale "Il Caberlot" Toscana Rosso (1.5L) (95JG, 95JS, 93VN). James Suckling: "Love the fresh tobacco, herb and currant aromas here. Full body, very fine tannins and a fruity and savory finish. Subtle and flavorful. A joy to taste. Tuscany's garage winemaker does it again. " (08/2015)
Current Bid: $166.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2016 Paolo Scavino "Bric dël Fiasc" Barolo (98RP, 98WE, 97W&S, 96IWR, 96VN, 96WS, 95JS). Wine Advocate: "Drawing its fruit from Castiglione Falletto, the Paolo Scavino 2016 Barolo Bric dël Fiasc shows dimension, depth, precision and power. The wine opens to a dark garnet color with a saturated hue, leading to a full, all-encompassing bouquet. The Barolo Bric dël Fiasc is often the most representative wine in the Scavino portfolio, and never has this been more true than in this classic vintage. Dark fruit, licorice, spice and ferrous earth build a fluid and multifaceted bouquet. The mouthfeel sits firm and tight on the palate today, promising to evolve and soften tomorrow. This is a bottle for your cellar. (ML)" (07/2020)
Current Bid: $460.00

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Pott "Le Nouveau Western Star Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, 94VN, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "A winner is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Le Nouveau Western, which is classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from the Starr Vineyard. Plenty of dense, blackberry and cassis fruit, licorice, graphite and foresty notes are all present in this full-bodied, opulent wine with terrific purity and length. Tannins are present, but balanced beautifully by lavish amounts of fruit and extract. (RP)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2004 Poderi Colla "Bussia Dardi Le Rose" Barolo and 2-bottles of 2017 Poderi Colla "Dardi Le Rose Bussia" Barolo.
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Titus "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L). Titus Vineyards is a family-owned 50-acre vineyard and winery located at the base of Howell Mountain, along the Silverado Trail in the heart of Napa Valley's St. Helena AVA. Classic wines ranging from Beaulieu Vineyards, Cuvaison, and Charles Krug have originated from Titus' historic vineyards. The documented history of the property extends back to 1841, and the land has been continuously farmed for over 150 years. In 1969, the Titus family’s had their first harvest. The winery describes their style: "our modern-day legacies of winemaking and land stewardship are now reflected in the distinctive and well-balanced wines made here at the Titus Vineyards winery."
Starting Bid: $250.00

Bid on this bottle of 1984 Diamond Creek "Volcanic Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "The 1984s appear to be the last of the big, bold, full-bodied, super-concentrated Diamond Creek. The wines produced after 1984 have been more polite and oenologically correct. What a shame! The enormous 1984 displays no signs of age in its dark, saturated ruby/purple color. The nose exhibits some evolution, with cedar, leather, and jammy fruit scents beginning to emerge. Still frightfully tannic, full-bodied, and highly extracted, this backward, chewy wine is one of the slowest evolving 1984s. (RP)" (08/1994)
Current Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 97JS, 97WS, 96VN, 96W&S, 95JD, 95WE, 93CG). Wine Advocate: "he 2018 Monte Bello is as classic a release from this storied site as ever. It contains 17% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. A ravishing, multidimensional nose of wet clay, cocoa powder, peperoncini, cured meat and eucalyptus endlessly expands and congeals with further aeration. The palate precisely stitches together supple concentration and firm, coarse tannins that give sturdiness and intensity to its otherwise medium-bodied frame. The finish is amazingly long and delicious and begins to close down after a few hours, telling me this timeless wine should be left alone for the next 10-12 years. Superb through and through, this wine should excel past its 50th birthday. (ML)" (04/2024)
Current Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Inglenook "Rubicon" Rutherford Bordeaux Blend (97JS, 96JD, 96VN, 95RP, 94DC, 93W&S, 93WE, 92WS). James Suckling: "This is a powerful and structured red with full body, focused and polished tannins and a long and flavorful finish. It’s very close to the great 2013." (12/2018)
Current Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2018 Aubert "Hudson Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay (99JS, 97RP, (94-97VN)) and 1-bottle of 2019 Aubert "Hudson Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay (99JS, (97-99RP), 97VN, 94WS). Of the 2018 Aubert "Hudson Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay, James Suckling writes: "Ripe-peach, chalk, smoked-almond, matchstick and phenolic aromas. Floral notes, too. It’s full-bodied, creamy and oily. So balanced and restrained, yet dense and impressive. Minerally. Give this time. Try after 2022, but already fantastic." (12/2020)
Current Bid: $207.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 1987 Duckhorn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (92WS). Wine Spectator: "A supple, complex wine. Its smooth, supple texture and an appealing core of currant, black cherry, anise, spice and cedar make up for its lack of sheer power and youthful intensity. *Cellar Selection, #11 - Top 100 Wines of 1990* (JL)" (12/1997)
Current Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Clos Rougeard "Les Poyeux" Saumur Champigny (95VN). Vinous: "There's a gorgeous nectarine-like character that runs through Les Poyeux when young and the 2016 is no different. It's silky and seductive in a non-opulent way. Finesse is a word that crops up repeatedly when I tasted this wine: finesse of fragrance - this is delightfully perfumed, pure and precise; finesse of tannins with their fine chalky texture. It is long, scented and charming, thus it could be approached now if you wished but it has a medium to long life ahead. (RG)" (06/2022)
Current Bid: $460.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2021 Williams Selyem Rochioli Riverblock Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L) (98JS). James Suckling: Blackberry, blueberry, tar, and asphalt aromas follow through to a full body with fresh herb, olive skin and grape skin character on the palate with a powdery tannin-driven finish. This is one that will age really well. Please be patient because it is already so excellent but it will be so much better in two to four years and beyond. (11/2023)
Current Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Eisele "Altagracia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JS, 93WS). James Suckling: "Lots of sweet-tobacco, currant and coffee character, yet this remains refined and subtle. Mushroom undertones. Medium to full body, ultra-fine tannins and a velvety texture. Complex and fascinating. Spanish cedar all the way. " (01/2017)
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2021 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco (96KO, 95RP, 94JD, 94JS, 93VN). Kerin O'Keefe: "2021 was an exceptional year in the Langhe as is clearly demonstrated by the gorgeous 2021 Barbaresco from Produttori. It boasts beautiful aromas of violet, rose, cake spice and mint that carry over to the elegant palate along with succulent red cherry, crushed raspberry and star anise. Taut, refined tannins and bright acidity keep it impeccably balanced. Made from blending Nebbiolo from different vineyard sites, this is the firm’s classic Barbaresco and is one of the greatest values in Italian fine wine." (09/2024)
Current Bid: $255.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2018 Domaine Rossignol-Trapet Latricieres-Chambertin Grand Cru (96DC, 94JG, 94JM, 94VN, 93BH) and 1-bottle of 2018 Domaine Rossignol-Trapet Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (96DC, 96JM, 95VN, 93BH). Of the 2018 Domaine Rossignol-Trapet Latricieres-Chambertin Grand Cru, Decanter writes: "Replanted after the devastating frost of 1956, the Rossignol-Trapets' 0.75ha parcel is heavily influenced by the proximity of the forest and the breezes from the Hautes Côtes. Fresh, mineral-edged and chalky, it's the lightest and most ethereal of their Grand Cru bottlings, showing considerable elegance and finesse for a 2018. Silky and elegant with 30% new wood adding some subtle cinnamon spice.(TA)" (01/2020)
Current Bid: $381.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Argyle "Spirithouse" Willamette Valley Pinot Noir (90WE). Wine Enthusiast: "Sourced from the Knudsen vineyard, this medium-bodied effort brings flavors of brambly berries and a touch of wet stone. It seems to trail off a bit in the finish, leaving a light lick of citrus as it fades. (PG)" (12/2018)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2011 Turley "Old Vines" California Zinfandel (91VN, 90WS), 1-bottle of 2012 Turley "Old Vines" California Zinfandel (91RP, 91VN, 91WS, 90ST), and 1-bottle of 2012 Turley "Pesenti Vineyard" Paso Robles Zinfandel (94ST, 94VN, (91-93RP), 91WS). Of the 2012 Turley "Pesenti Vineyard" Paso Robles Zinfandel, Vinous writes: "The 2012 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard is wonderfully lifted and precise, especially within the context of Paso Robles. Hints of licorice, anise and orange peel add gorgeous aromatic presence to a core of sweet red stone fruits. Already open and highly expressive, the Pesenti is another fabulous wine that will reward readers with a long and wide drinking window. (AG)" (12/2014)
Starting Bid: $85.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Outpost Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon ((94-96RP), (92-94JD)). Wine Advocate: "Sporting a deep purple-black color, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon needs a little coaxing to begin, soon unfurling to reveal notions of crushed black cherries, wild blueberries and fresh blackcurrant, plus suggestions of tar, wet slate, fertile loam and black truffles. The medium to full-bodied palate is charged with wonderful energy, delivering loads of black fruit layers and a firm, grainy frame plus and lively backbone, finishing long and mineral laced. (LPB) 94-96+" (03/2021)
Current Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90VN). Vinous: "Medium bright ruby. Cool, slightly weedy aromas of blackberry, crushed rock and eucalyptus, along with some funky leather and game nuances; rather claret-like. Pliant, rich, savory wine with an element of herbal lift and a restrained sweetness to its dark berry and savory mineral flavors. Finishes with tongue-dusting tannins, a hint of cocoa powder and good length. A bit flinty and green for my taste but nicely balanced and not hard--and evolving slowly. The flavors are old-fashioned but the texture is suave. (ST) 90+" (05/2018)
Current Bid: $281.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2017 Domaine Drouhin Dundee Hills Pinot Noir (95IWR, 94JS, 93RP, 93VN, 92DC, 92JG, 92WS). Int'l Wine Review: "Domaine Drouhin’s flagship wine comes entirely from fruit picked from their Dundee Hills estate and this 2017 does not disappoint. In fact, it was my favorite from the 2017 vintage and resonates with personality on the nose, the palate and the finish. Expressive aromas of strawberry preserves, Eucalyptus, cinnamon and freshly laid bark shine on the sensational nose. The mouthfeel is full and generous and shimmers with flavors of black raspberry, lemon zest, fresh sage and toasty ground nutmeg. The finish is textured and layered with medium plus amounts of acidity and tannin that are already integrated perfectly. Drink now or over the next decade. Highly recommended. (JY)" (11/2021)
Current Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2016 Bergström "Silice" Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir (93RP, 92VN). Wine Advocate: "Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2016 Pinot Noir Silice Vineyard is very savory on the nose with notions of smoked meats, black pepper and olive over spicy black fruits. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the mouth with brambly black fruits, layers of bacon fat and pepper, with a wonderful juicy freshness to lift all that density and a good frame of grainy tannins, fleshing out on the long, savory finish. This is very Syrah-esque! 1, 000 cases produced. (EB)" (04/2018)
Starting Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knight's Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Spectator: "Fully mature, this complex wine is very herbal and Bordeaux-like, with a mix of berry, herb, mineral, wet clay and cigar box flavors. Ends with firm, leathery tannins. (JL)" (07/2011)
Current Bid: $137.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1985 Clos du Val "Reserve" Napa Valley Red Blend (94WS). Wine Spectator: "Rich, complex, balanced and beautifully focused, with tiers of pretty currant, black cherry, smoky, toasty oak and subtle herb seasoning. It's supple, well proportioned and not too tannic, and the flavors linger long and full on the finish." (11/1990)
Current Bid: $125.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia" Bolgheri Superiore (98DC, 98JD, 98JS, 98RP, 96VN, 96WS, 95WE). Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Bolgheri Superiore Ornellaia is a wine of extreme complexity and precision. It offers monumental depth with profound layers of black fruit, coffee, licorice and baking chocolate. I tasted this 2016 vintage beside the less-impactful 2015 vintage (which was reviewed last year). These two editions are very different when compared side to side, and this 2016 release is clearly superior in terms of the quality, clarity and intensity of its offerings. This Ornellaia delivers glossy shine and a polished texture that segues to important richness, concentration and textural fiber. It wraps thickly over the palate, imparting waves of sweet dark fruit and dark spice that linger for many long minutes. This beautiful wine is hitting the market now, but collectors will want to put it straight into their cellars for safekeeping. (ML)" (04/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Vine Hill Ranch "VHR" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100VN, 99IWR, 98JD, 98TWI, 96RP, 96WS). Vinous: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is monumental, as it always has been. I have been fortunate to taste and drink the 2016 many times. It never fails to impress. All the elements are so well balanced. It possesses tremendous power in every dimension. Black cherry, plum, gravel, spice, menthol and licorice add layers to a wine of real gravitas and vibrancy. It's a breathtaking Cabernet that will reward those lucky enough to own it with many years of profound drinking. (AG)" (03/2022)
