Bid on this bottle of 2017 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JD, 98RP, 98TWI, 97JS, 96VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2017 IX Estate is composed of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. Opaque purple-black colored, the nose is quite closed and shy to begin, slowly unfurling to reveal freshly crushed blackberries, mulberries and blackcurrants plus suggestions of dusty soil, bouquet garni, pencil lead and cast-iron pan with gentle wafts of sandalwood, cardamom, rare beef and black tea. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house, strutting incredibly ripe yet super firm tannins, and it has lovely, uplifting freshness to help define all those black fruit and savory layers, finishing with epic length. Needs time, but this should turn out to be incredibly nuanced and long lived! (LPB)" (10/2019)
Current Bid: $290.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Christopher Tynan Wines "Judge Family Vineyard" Bennett Valley Syrah.
Current Bid: $56.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 1995 Isole e Olena "Cepparello" Toscana (3L) in original wood.
Current Bid: $377.00

Bid on this bottle of 1961 Coutet, Barsac . Château Coutet is one of the oldest Sauternes-producing vineyards in France, located between the Garonne and Ciron rivers, which has the ideal conditions for encouraging the spread of Botrytis cinerea. Usually a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon blanc and Muscadelle, this 1961 vintage was produced while the estate was under the control of Henry-Louis Guy, who purchased it and separated it from Château d'Yquem. Bordeaux specialist Chris Kissack says of the 1961: "A rich, golden-orange hue. Roasted oranges and marmalade on the nose, rather bright, rather leafy and herby, but certainly a rich style. This has a nice, creamy character on the palate, fresh with decent acidity, but with those rich characteristics that were found on the nose. A good broad presence, fairly lively, attractive, a little grip to it even. Nice length. Very well put together, but more vigour and complexity would be appreciated." (thewinedoctor.com, 06/2007)
Current Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2016 Hall "Bergfeld" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon ((92-95RP), (92-95VN), 94WS) and 1-bottle of 2016 Hall "Ellie's" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((91-93RP)). Of the 2016 Hall "Bergfeld" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon, Vinous writes: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Bergfeld, from Hall's home vineyard, is a terrific expression of this sector of St. Helena. Floral notes and a host of sweet red cherry, raspberry fruit make a strong first impression. Silky tannins add to the wine's gracious, inviting personality. Rich in flavor and also light on its feet, the Bergfeld is another superb wine from Hall. (AG)" (10/2018)
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (100IWR, 100JD, 100RP, 98WS, 97ST, 97VN). Wine Advocate: "Utter perfection, and one of the most profound Rhone Ranger wines I have ever tasted … As with many prodigious wines, the extraordinary freshness, purity, equilibrium, and singularity of this effort is breathtaking. Its dense purple color is accompanied by an extraordinary, incredibly pure, all enveloping, intense, sweet nose of black raspberries, kirsch, spring flowers, spice box, and pepper. Full-bodied with not a hard edge to be found, it is stunningly concentrated with unreal purity, a voluptuous texture, and remarkable freshness for a wine of such power, depth, and concentration. (RP)" (08/2009)
Current Bid: $550.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Peter Michael "Belle Côte" Knights Valley Chardonnay (98RP, 97JS, 94WS, 93VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Chardonnay Belle Cote has a seriously savory/sweet nose of brioche, beeswax, salty ham and toasted nuts with a core of warm apricots, candied ginger and chalk dust. Medium-bodied, with exquisite harmony and depth, it delivers intense stone fruit and spice flavor layers with a very long, toasty finish. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Current Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((92-94ST), 93RP). Int'l Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby. Extremely primary aromas of boysenberry, cassis, blackberry, dark chocolate and minerals. Broad, lush and sweet, with highly aromatic flavors of blackberry and violet. A seamless, deep cabernet with a firm core of acidity and impressive length. Hirby and partner Schatzi Throckmorton dropped fruit four times during the growing season due to the size and unevenness of the flowering. (ST)" (05/2005)
Current Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2020 Domaine Henri Magnien Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Cazetiers" ((92-95BH), 95RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers is brilliant, bursting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, plums, exotic spices and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and multidimensional, it's velvety and layered, with lively acids, beautifully ripe tannins and a long, resonant finish. This is a benchmark Cazetiers from the only proprietor to own holdings that stretch from the top to the bottom of the slope. (WK)" (01/2022)
Current Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1970 Graham's Vintage Port (94JG, 94WS, 93RP). Wine Spectator: "This is an extremely full-bodied, powerful wine, but it still retains a classy balance. Deep ruby, with chocolate and berry aromas, full-bodied, with anise and dried cherry flavors, full, hard tannins and a long finish. (JS)" (01/1989)
Current Bid: $252.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2003 Charlopin Parizot Gevrey-Chambertin "Les Evocelles" (91RP), 1-bottle of 2003 Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Pommard 1er Cru "Les Jarollieres" (92BH), 1-bottle of 2004 Domaine Tollot-Beaut Savigny 1er Cru "Lavières", and 1-bottle of 2004 Geantet-Pansiot Gevrey-Chambertin "En Champs" (91VN). Of the 2003 Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Pommard 1er Cru "Les Jarollieres", Burghound writes: "Equally high-toned, elegant and ultra pure red pinot fruit nuanced with obvious minerality and medium full flavors that possess the best focus, cut and precision of any wine in the range plus outstanding depth of material. This is a beautiful effort that is quite finely balanced and it should age. In a word, terrific. *Sweet Spot Outstanding*" (04/2005)
Current Bid: $227.00

Bid on this magnum of 2004 Paul Hobbs "Beckstoffer To-Kalon" Oakville Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (99RP, 93ST). Wine Advocate: "Hobbs was one of the first to recognize the brilliance of Oakville’s Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard, and he has produced several wines that were either perfect, or pushing perfection. This 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard reveals that haunting, almost indescribable bouquet of red and black fruits, spring flowers, and subtle hint of lead pencil shavings that aromatically blows away the taster. If one could have a 100-point bouquet, this is it. Moreover, the flavors don’t let the taster down. (RP)" (04/2014)
Current Bid: $360.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100JS, 100RP, (95-98VN)). Wine Advocate: "Lauren Vineyard (named after Mark Aubert's daughter) is planted to four different clones: two Old Wente clones, Mount Eden and Corton-Charlemagne. The 2018 Chardonnay Lauren Estate comes barreling out of the glass with a knock-out nose of juicy nectarines, ripe Bosc pears and honeydew melon, backed up by nuances of butterscotch, crystalized ginger, pie crust and honeycomb. Full-bodied, rich, spicy and so, so seductive, the palate is as opulent as it is impeccably poised, finishing with epic length and depth. (LPB)" (01/2021)
Current Bid: $600.00

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Sine Qua Non "Distenta I" California Syrah (100RP, 100TWI, 98JD, 98VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Syrah Distenta I comes entirely from the Krankls' estate vineyards: 35% from The Third Twin, 33% from Eleven Confessions, 31% from Cumulus and 1% from Molly Aïda. It is a blend of 83.6% Syrah, 6.2% Grenache, 5.2% Petite Sirah, 3% Mourvèdre and 2% white grapes (1.4% Muskat and 0.6% Petit Manseng). Fermented with 33% whole clusters and matured for 23 months in 43% new French oak, it has an opaque purple-black color and takes plenty of time in the glass to reveal a core of cassis and accents of sage, lavender, tar and coffee beans. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and still youthfully coiled. It has a fine, grainy texture, fresh acidity and a long, floral finish. (EB) 98+" (05/2022)
Current Bid: $205.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Ultramarine "Heintz Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Rosé Sparkling Wine (97RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Sparkling Rosé Heintz Vineyard is composed mainly of Pinot Noir, made without malolactic conversion and bottled without filtration. It was aged on the lees in bottle for 40 months and has just below five atmospheres of pressure (as opposed to the six to 6.5 bars of pressure in the Cruse Tradition sparklings), resulting in a creamier texture. "What matters more is pressure, not time en tirage, " notes winemaker Michael Cruse. "2017 was an earlier vintage for us, so this is a bigger Ultramarine than I would normally release—the 2016 and 2018 were more classic vintages for us, more acid driven." " (09/2022)
Current Bid: $97.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Domaine Louis Jadot (Domaine des Héritiers) Corton Grand Cru "Pougets" (98WE, (93-95RP), 94DC, (92-94VN), 94WS, 92BH). Wine Enthusiast: "Power and grace go together in this decadently perfumed, cherry-soaked wine. Profoundly ripe and framed by fine-grained, rigid tannins, the structured, weighty wine is lifted by luminous raspberry and red-cherry flavors. Stunning in youth, the wine will continue to improve through 2040. (AI)" (03/2022)
Current Bid: $245.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Pavie, St-Émilion (100JD, 100RP, 98JS, 97JA, 97WS, 96ST, 96VN, 95WE). Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet in color, the 2009 Pavie drifts effortlessly and profoundly from the glass with baked plums, spice cake, sandalwood, Black Forest cake and blueberry pie scents followed up with a fragrant undercurrent of potpourri, unsmoked cigars and bouquet garni. Full-bodied, rich and plush, this is pure seduction in the mouth, offering a taut yet velvety texture and oodles of freshness to frame the opulent fruit, finishing very long and mineral laced. (LPB)" (03/2019)
Current Bid: $321.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Domaine Armand Rousseau Clos de la Roche Grand Cru ((94-97JM), 96DC, (93-96WS), (93-95RP), (92-94BH), 93JG, (91-93VN)). Jasper Morris: "20% new wood. This is more body builder than dancer but all within the fine-grained Rousseau style. Rich full purple, this has personality. Strikingly rich on the palate while entirely retaining its poise class and Clos de la Roche style." (11/2019)
Current Bid: $695.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Léoville-Las Cases, St-Julien (97JS, 96JA, 96JD, 96WS, 95RP, 94WE, 93ST, 92VN). James Suckling: "This is more exotic and monstrous than the 2000. It is like a muscle builder, with lots of round and rich tannins and a core of dark fruits like black cherries and blueberries. Still very young, but structured and in need of five more years. " (05/2012)
Current Bid: $350.00

Bid on this bottle of 2021 Kinsman Eades "Hierothesion" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97DC, 96JD). Decanter: "The project is the personal project of winemaker Nigel Kinsman and his wife, Shea. The name is derived from their surnames. Their first vintage was in 2016, and the wines are currently made at Wheeler Farms in St Helena. They are sourced from five single vineyard sites: M-Bar Ranch and Vine Hill Ranch in Oakville, Ecotone, and the former Reverie site on Diamond Mountain, as well as Sleeping Lady Vineyard in Yountville. (JC)" (05/2024)
Current Bid: $140.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Bevan "Harbison Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97VN, 94WS). Wine Advocate: "Bevan’s 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Harbison Vineyard is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, aged three-fourths in new Taransaud and the rest in Gamba. This wine displays loads of new saddle leather, loamy soil undertones, seductive, sweet, ripe tannin, and luscious, succulent and majestic levels of blackberry and blueberry fruit as well as cassis and Christmas fruitcake. It is an amazing wine to drink over the next 30+ years. (RP)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2014 Corison "Kronos Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 96IWR, 96JG, 96VN, 94W&S). James Suckling: "Aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants and flowers. Hints of dark chocolate. Full body, firm and velvety tannins and a gorgeous berry-like, subtle, fruity finish. Tangy and citrusy acidity. Forest floor. One of the best Kronos ever. Old-vine glory." (01/2017)
Current Bid: $500.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Ducs" (94BH, 93RP, 93VN, 92WS). Burghound: "A superbly fresh and beautifully layered nose of cool red berry fruit, floral notes and wet stone, the latter of which is present in abundance on the rich yet beautifully detailed middle weight flavors brimming with minerality and energy, all wrapped in a focused, linear and precise finish of huge length, which remains at present youthfully austere. A classic Ducster that will require 10 to 12 years to be at its peak and readers should note that unlike some '08s, this will not be especially approachable young." (04/2015)
Current Bid: $255.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Combes Aux Moines" Vieille Vigne ((93-95RP), (92-94VN), 93JG, 93ST). Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Combe Aux Moines comes from 0.87-hectares of vine planted in 1928. It veers more towards the carefree, zesty fruit profile with orange blossom and fresh apricot infusing the pure red cherries and crushed strawberry fruit. This is feminine and nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with a very pure, structured entry, a fine line of acidity and wonderful tension towards the finish. This is a seductive but nonchalant Gevrey-Chambertin with superb length that should age with style. (NM)" (12/2013)
Current Bid: $185.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (93BH, 92WE, 90VN). Burghound: "Crushed and very spicy black, intensely Pinot fruit aromas blend into intense, sweet, dusty, relatively round and elegant flavors that display plenty of ripe soil and mineral nuances, superb density and outstanding finishing complexity. This is most impressive as the finish goes on and on. In short, this is extremely classy juice that offers outstanding potential. " (04/2004)
Current Bid: $265.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2015 Ridge Vineyards "York Creek" Napa Valley Petite Sirah (92VN, 91RP). Vinous: "From the well-known site on Spring Mountain, the 2015 Petite Sirah York Creek shows a much more earthy, powerful and savory side of Petite. Scorched earth, smoke, tobacco, licorice, menthol and dried herbs, along with huge tannins, are some of the signatures. This bold, virile Petite packs a real punch, with plenty of structure coming from the volcanic, mountain soils. Readers should have no urgency at all in opening these bottles. (AG)" (08/2017)
Current Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2022 Andremily "White Cuvée" Central Coast White Blend (97JD, 96TWI, 93RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Awesome notes of buttered citrus, toasted spice, brioche, toasted almonds, and white flowers all emerge from 2022 White Cuvee, a rich, full-bodied white based on 35% Chardonnay, 28% Roussanne, 21% Marsanne, and the rest Viognier. With that classic Andremily richness and breadth, it stays flawlessly balanced, has good acidity, and a great finish. It’s a stunning white that readers should snatch up. I love it today, yet it should have 4-6 years of prime drinking, possibly longer. But why wait?" (08/2024)
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Fingers Crossed "Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid" California White Rhone Blend (96JD, 95RP, 93VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Starting with the whites and a rich, powerful wine, the 2018 Roussanne Off The Record boasts a smoking nose of buttered almonds, caramelized lemons, brioche, and toasted spices. Just bottled, it's opulent and concentrated on the palate yet still flawlessly balanced and is a powerful yet elegant white that does everything right. The blend is 72% Roussanne, 24% Chardonnay, and 4% Viognier that was brought up in 75% new French oak, and it has more than a passing resemblance to Beaucastel’s Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc Vieilles Vignes. While I’d enjoy bottles over the coming 3-5 years, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it evolve longer." (08/2020)
Current Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1977 Smith Woodhouse Vintage Port (96WS). Wine Spectator: "Great dark color. Intense aromas of blackberry, stem and earth. Very powerful and youthful nose. Full-bodied and medium-sweet, with lots of milk chocolate, spice and berry character. Layered and balanced. So enjoyable. But just a baby. I remember this 10 years ago. It is really fantastic. Underrated by many, including me. (JS)" (02/2008)
Current Bid: $275.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2008 Skipstone Oliver's Blend Alexander Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (92JS, 90RP). James Suckling: Lots of chocolate, coffee and ripe fruit on the nose. Sweet tobacco too. Sandalwood. Concentrated nose. Full-bodied, with a rich and powerful palate. Thick and dense, with loads of fruit. A little over-extracted, but juicy and dense. For those who like full-throttle. Try it after 2013 giving it a chance to mellow. (06/2011)
Current Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Booker "Fracture" Paso Robles Syrah (98JD, 97VN, (94-96RP)). Jeb Dunnuck: "Another magical wine, the 2018 Fracture is based on 100% Syrah brought up in new and used French oak. Deep purple-hued, with beautiful notes of crème de cassis, blackberries, vanilla bean, toasted spices, white flowers, and a hints of charcuterie, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, perfectly integrated oak, a rounded, lush mouthfeel, and a great finish. This unabashedly Paso Robles Syrah brings loads of fruit yet stays balanced, elegant, and is simply a thrill to drink." (09/2020)
Current Bid: $130.50

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Perrières" (94DC, (92-94RP), (91-93BH), 93JG, (91-93VN)). Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Perrières was showing especially well, mingling aromas of cassis and dark chocolate with savory nuances of loamy soil and grilled squab in an incipiently complex bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's lively and precise, with terrific tension despite the richness and power of the vintage. (WK)" (02/2020)
Current Bid: $175.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Alban "Reva - Estate Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah (98JD, 96RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Moving to the Syrahs, the 2019 Syrah Reva reveals a much cooler climate-like style in its blackberry, graphite, pepper, and bouquet garni-like nuances, and it picks up an almost Cornas-like game and white pepper character with time in the glass. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel, ripe yet polished tannins, and a great finish. It reminds me slightly of the 2018, although with slightly less concentration. It will evolve for 20-25 years." (08/2023)
Current Bid: $166.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Kapcsandy "Roberta's Reserve - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Merlot (100JS, 100RP, 98VN). Wine Advocate: "At 100% Merlot, the 2013 Merlot Roberta’s Reserve is off the charts and could easily eclipse a great vintage of Pétrus in a blind tasting. Fabulous notes of sweet cocoa and chocolate intermixed with black cherry and blackberry soar from the glass of this full-bodied wine that has a deep, rich, profound core of fruit and density. It is a great example of possibly the finest vintage Napa has ever produced for Bordeaux varieties. (RP)" (10/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2007 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes (100RP, 96DC, 96ST, 96WS) and 1-bottle of 2009 Domaine de la Janasse "Chaupin" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97JD, 96RP, 94ST, 94WS). Of the 2007 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes, Wine Advocate writes: "A bigger, richer, more concentrated wine than the ethereally textured Cuvée Chaupin, the 2007 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvée Vieilles Vignes is unquestionably one of the wines of the vintage as well as one of the finest Châteauneuf du Papes ever made. Offering notes of cassis, roasted meats, beef blood and licorice, this heavenly 2007 is full-bodied, hugely concentrated and rich yet shows incredible purity, focus and precision, with no sensation of heaviness or weight. It’s still deep purple colored, with no signs of evolution, and it has another two decades of life. Having said that, it’s a gorgeous drink today. (JD)" (02/2017)
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 2021 Sine Qua Non "Distenta III" California Syrah ((98-100RP), 100TWI, 98VN, 97JD). Wine Advocate: "I tasted the 2021 Syrah Distenta III as a precise blend from barrel on July 6—it's due to be bottled in August. It comes from three estate vineyards: The Third Twin (51%), Cumulus (26%) and 23% Eleven Confessions (23%). The Syrah is blended with 11.3% Grenache, 3.3% Mourvèdre, 2.1% Petite Sirah, 0.9% Petit Manseng and 0.7% Muscat and was vinified using 21% whole clusters. It matured around 23 months in 53% new French oak, 43% one- to three-year-old barrels and 4% concrete. (EB)" (08/2023)
Current Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98JD, 98VN, 95RP, 93WS). Vinous: "Vibrant purple. Powerful dark berry, cherry cola, incense, potpourri, musky earth, licorice and spice-cake aromas show superb clarity and acquire a smoky mineral nuance as the wine opens up. Sweet, seamless and energetic in the mouth, offering deeply concentrated blueberry, cherry preserve, five-spice powder and floral pastille flavors that are given lift and focus by a spine of juicy acidity. Marries richness to finesse with a sure hand and finishes incredibly long and precise, with gently firming tannins adding shape and closing grip. (JR)" (12/2020)
Current Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Quilceda Creek "CVR" Columbia Valley Bordeaux Blend (94IWR, 93RP, 91VN). Int'l Wine Review: "The 'CVR' is Quliceda Creek’s entry level wine which is made from fruit that didn’t quite make the grade for their flagship Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The blend for the 'CVR' changes each year, with the 2012 being composed of 91% Cabernet, 7% Merlot and 3% Cab Franc. This is very expressive with ripe and complex aromas of cassis, mocha, black olive and cedar notes, which all come together beautifully. This possesses a rich and dense palate that persists with notes of anise, crème de cassis, black olive and blackberry ending with impressive minerality and wonderful length. Overall, a rich and refined wine that's open but can also benefit from many years in the cellar. (OB)" (07/2015)
Current Bid: $102.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2021 Lillian California Syrah. Lillian began when Maggie Harrison was working at Sine Qua Non and has grown ever since. From the winery: "The goal with all Lillian wines — roussanne, syrah, grenache and cabernet sauvignon — is to work with these historical, noble varieties in a sun-drenched place but raise the wines in such a way that gives the wines levity and lift; a certain transparency and fineness of detail." (6/2024)
Current Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JS, 95RP, 93ST). Wine Advocate: "Larkmead’s entry-level 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate captivates all of the senses from the very first taste. A huge, opulent yet structured Cabernet, the 2010 shows off tons of richness, power and structure, all while maintaining considerable detail and nuance. Black currants, melted road tar and asphalt blast thorough to the intense, palate-staining finish. I can’t imagine this being ready to drink before its 10th birthday. The 2010 is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec. This is a great 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. 95+ points. I was completely blown away by Larkmead this year. The 2010s are simply phenomenal across the board. 95+ (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Bruno Giacosa "Falletto Vigna Le Rocche'' Barolo Riserva (98JS, 97RP, 96WS, 94DC, 94VN). James Suckling: "The aromas are so seductive with dried roses and berries. Tar and asphalt, too. Full bodied, very tight and powerful. Lean and long tannins. It goes on for so long. Stops and then starts over again. A curious and challenging young wine. Great." (01/2019)

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2009 Viader Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95WE, 93RP, 92VN, 91WS), 1-bottle of 2010 Viader "Black Label Estate Limited Edition" Howell Mountain Bordeaux Blend, and 1-bottle of 2011 Viader Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (93JS, 92VN, 91CG). Of the 2009 Viader Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend, Wine Enthusiast writes: "Made from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc, it has every hallmark of a young Napa Valley Bordeaux blend. It’s dry, smooth and complex in tannins, with balancing acidity and an incredible array of flavors, including blackberry, black currant, cherry, chocolate, dried herb, smoky oak and spice. It has that important but hard-to-define quality of sophistication." (12/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Seven Stones Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 93VN). Wine Advocate: "The fabulous 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is virtually all 100% new oak-aged Cabernet Sauvignon. A dense purple color is accompanied by smoky barbecue, charcoal, crème de cassis, coffee, chocolate and graphite notes. Full-bodied, opulent, fleshy and sensual, it can be consumed over the next 10-15 years. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JS, 100RP, 100TWI, 99DC, 98VN, 97WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Dominus is, to my way of thinking, one of the most profound wines Christian Moueix has yet made in his rather brilliant winemaking history, both in France and in Napa Valley. This wine, with very low yields of only 3, 500 cases and a final blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, offers up notes of cedar wood, forest floor, loamy soil and oodles of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit. Very opaque purple in color, super-pure and intense, this wine has low acidity, but ripe, noticeable tannins. This is a 30- to 40-year wine and a profound effort from this famous vineyard in Yountville. (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1975 Warre Vintage Port. From Winebid: "Warre’s earliest history dates to the late 17th century when a pair of Englishmen opened a trading office in Portugal to export food and wine. But the company didn’t get into the Port business until the early 18th century, when William Warre joined the firm. The Warre family became very successful in Port trading and the men of the family also became noted British military officers. Today Warre’s is owned by Symington Family, which traces its roots back 13 generations to Scottish and Portuguese families in the Port business. Symington Family Estates, which is still family owned and operated, also owns Graham’s, Dow’s, Smith Woodhouse, Martinez and Quinta do Vesuvio. Warre’s makes a full line of ruby and tawny ports."
Starting Bid: $380.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 The Mascot Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend. Jancis Robinson: "Bright crimson with some evolution at the rim. Actually there is quite a bit of interest on the nose here. This has lift as well as Napa lusciousness and good structure, balance and length. Throbs with life on the long finish. Quite impressive! And broachable. 17/20 points (JR)" (09/2023)

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2014 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton East Hills" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Blend and 2-bottles of 2015 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton Estate - House Hill Vineyard'' Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel-Petite Sirah. Of the 2014 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton East Hills" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Blend, A blend of 61% Zinfandel and 39% Petite Sirah from vines that are the oldest of the Lytton Estate. Winery notes writes: "The fruit from these blocks is very distinct primarily due to the thin topsoil because of centuries of hillside erosion. The vines produce very low yields (less than one ton per acre) with very intense flavors. Because of its unique character, we have typically bottled these blocks on their own. Rich nose of dark bramble, black cherry and dried plum. Sensuous mouth feel layered with brown spice and a lingering finish."

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Cayuse "Impulsivo" Walla Walla Valley Tempranillo (97JD, 96RP, 95JS, 95VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming all from the En Chamberlin Vineyard and all Tempranillo, I've often wondered if the Impulsivo release was the best wine of the estate, and it certainly is in some vintages. The 2019 Impulsivo boasts a deep ruby/plum color as well as a dense, powerful nose of smoked blackberries, charred meat, graphite, violets, and cedar pencil. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, structured 2019 with beautiful balance, lots of building tannins, a great mid-palate, and one heck of an impressive finish. You're not going to find a better Tempranillo in the US, and it will stand toe to toe with the best out there." (07/2022)
