Bid on this bottle of 2009 Schrader "T6 - Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 97WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon T6 Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is another big, implosive wine bursting with dark blackberries, blueberries, tar, smoke, licorice and graphite. Layers of fruit build effortlessly to the huge, polished finish. The T6 has it all - fruit and structure. This is a marvelously complete wine that should drink well out of the gate, yet also appears to have the stuffing to last for years. The T6 is clone 6 from the D2 block. (AG)" (12/2011)
Current Bid: $202.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2011 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93JS), 1-bottle of 2012 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WE, 94RP, 93WS, 92DC), 1-bottle of 2013 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95VN), and 1-bottle of 2014 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, (92-95RP), 94JS, (91-94VN), 93DC, 93WE, 92WS). Of the 2012 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Enthusiast writes: "From the vineyard that helped propel the appellation’s reputation into the stratosphere, this wine delivers both in terms of its historical significance, but also in present-day refinement and complexity. (VB)" (06/2015)
Current Bid: $401.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cakebread "Dancing Bear Ranch" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 92DC). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Dancing Bear Ranch (a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot aged 22 months in about 50% new French oak) has a dense purple color, wonderfully sweet cassis fruit and blackberries, with a touch of mulberry, forest floor and underbrush. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated and super-pure, this beauty is young, but accessible, yet I don’t see it hitting its prime for another 7-8 years. This is a 30+ year wine that should provide compelling drinking when fully mature. (RP)" (12/2015)
Current Bid: $371.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Markus Molitor Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese *** (White Capsule) (99RP, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "Pure and flinty, with perfectly ripe stone fruit aromas that are seamlessly intertwined with the flavors of crushing stones, the 2015 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese *** (White Capsule) is powerful, rich and incredibly juicy on the palate but, at the same time, pure, finessed and crystalline. This is a highly complex and salty, endlessly juicy and stony Riesling of great precision and salinity. The finish is long and stimulatingly salty, very rich and powerful and still marked by its yeasty texture. Fermented and aged in 3, 100-liter barrel from Stockinger. (SR) 99+" (04/2017)
Current Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2018 Denner "Mother of Exiles" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend (94RP). Wine Advocate: "The Cabernet Sauvignon-based 2018 Mother Of Exiles is also blended with 22% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. It has an inky purple-black color and luscious cassis and warm blue fruits with touches of cedar, sweet spice, graphite and cigars. The palate is full-boded and firm with flamboyant, spice-laced black fruits and just enough uplift on the mineral-driven finish. It will benefit from another 3-5 years in bottle and will age well over the next 15+ years. (EB)" (02/2021)
Current Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Aldo Conterno "Romirasco" Barolo (99JS, 98RP, 97WS, 96VN, 96WE, 95ST). James Suckling: "This is a big and powerful wine with incredible depth and power. Full body, with fabulous texture. It lasts for minutes on the finish. It shows dark fruits, hazelnut, chocolate and minerals. This is a monopole vineyard of 3.8 hectares. One of the wines of the vintage. So energetic and tangy. All in the finish." (03/2014)
Current Bid: $550.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Far Niente Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (95JS, 95WE, 94RP, 92JD). Wine Enthusiast: "Just a dash of Petit Verdot is added to this wine, with the Cabernet Sauvignon coming from the Martin Stelling Vineyard that stands regally behind the winery. This starts off with soft aromas of cassis and red cherry, which appear on the palate that’s built by sizable tannins and texture. The richness is defined in dark chocolate, with just enough acidity to keep the mouthfeel succulent and lush. *Editors’ Choice* (VB)" (07/2018)
Current Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - (96-98RP), 97JS, 95WS) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "The 2012s made from Bordeaux varietals include their flagship wine, the 2012 Proprietary Red Les Pavots, a sensational blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. A prodigious effort, it rivals some of the fabulous past vintages such as 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2007. The inky/purple-colored 2012 boasts classic notes of crème de cassis, roasted coffee, vanilla bean, cedar, forest floor and blueberries. Full-bodied and complex with sweet tannin as well as hints of charcoal and camphor, this opulent, multi-leveled, Bordeaux-styled 2012 can be drunk now or cellared for 25-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2014)
Current Bid: $385.00

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2014 Honig Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90JS, 90WS), 2-bottles of 2015 Honig Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP), and 2-bottles of 2019 Honig Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92JS, 91DC, 91VN, 90WS). Of the 2019 Honig Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, James Suckling writes: "A very aromatic red, offering baking spices, such as cinnamon, cloves and anisette, as well as notes of ripe blackcurrants, plums and dark chocolate. Full-bodied with soft tannins and a ripe yet vibrant and juicy fruit core. Long, warming finish. Drinkable now, but better in a few years." (12/2021)
Current Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2019 Inglenook "1882" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (95JS, 92WE). James Suckling: "This shows notes of ripe blackberries and blackcurrants with hints of licorice, cloves, walnuts and chocolate. It has full body and a velvety tannin structure. Juicy and vibrant fruit on the palate with a touch of earthiness. Smooth and delicious. Long, fruity finish. Very pure fruit. Try after 2024." (01/2022)
Current Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Nickel & Nickel "Copper Streak" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon. Winery notes: "Copper Streak Vineyard is located in a protected hollow at the base of the palisades in Stags Leap District. The soils are composed of Perkins gravelly loam mixed with red, copper-like streaks, which is how the vineyard got its name. The vines receive a western exposure and are of moderate size, yielding loose clusters with small berries. … Captivating dark fruit and luxurious texture define this Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2014 vintage opens with aromas of red pomegranate and toasted oak. Beautifully balanced flavors of boysenberry, cassis, herbs and earth are enhanced by the wine’s natural acidity. Smooth and plush, the flavors linger on a solid core of tannin, making this a wine to be enjoyed now or cellared for over a decade."
Current Bid: $115.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2021 Orin Swift "Palermo" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94DC, 93TWI, 93WE, 92WS, 90RP). Decanter: "100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 11 months in 34% new oak. Alluring aromas of ripe blackberry and black cherry fruit, spiced plums and nuances of clove and tobacco laced with vanilla. Full-bodied with absolutely riveting tannins that take centre stage, fueling a panoply of deep mid-palate dark berry fruits that build in stature and length on the finish, resolving in decadent waves of dark chocolate notes and fragrant red powdery spices. (JC)" (12/2023)
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Thorevilos exhibits an extraordinary floral aroma backed up by scents of blueberries, blackberries, espresso roast, and an incredible liqueur of rocks-like component. The compelling floweriness, blue and black fruits, and full-bodied richness make this one of the most distinctive and extraordinary wines of Napa. (RP)" (12/2009)
Current Bid: $251.01

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2011 Occidental (Kistler) "Cuvée Catherine - Occidental Station" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97VN, 94ST, 93RP) and 1-bottle of 2011 Occidental (Kistler) "Cuvée Elizabeth - Bodega Headlands" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97VN, 95RP, 94ST). Of the 2011 Occidental (Kistler) "Cuvée Catherine - Occidental Station" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Vinous writes: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Occidental Station Cuvée Catherine is a real stunner. Still incredibly primary, the 2011 is built on a serious core of fruit. Voluptuous yet medium in body, the 2011 impresses for its balance and sheer purity. The 2011 has developed quite a bit since I last tasted it, but the style remains one of fruit density. Readers should give the 2011 another year or two in bottle. What a fabulous wine this is. (AG)" (02/2014)
Current Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2022 Prisoner "Solder" Napa Valley Rhône Blend. Robert Parker once wrote of Prisoner Wine Co.: "This winery, dedicated to négociant, relatively large-production cuvées of blended wines, was founded by the brilliant Dave Phinney and sold in 2009. Today the wines are made by the very talented Jen Beloz. These wines are distinctive, creative blends of exceptionally high quality, especially given the production totals that they achieve." Prisoner Wine Co. is now owned by Constellation Brands. Indicative blend: Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Charbono.
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2014 Turnbull "Black Label" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94VN, 92CG) and 1-bottle of 2019 Turnbull "Black Label" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96VN, 96WE, 95JD, 95RP, 95WS, 92JS). Of the 2019 Turnbull "Black Label" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Vinous writes: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label is built around a core of fruit from Leopoldina, with about 30% of the fruit from Fortuna. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather and spice build in a potent, explosive Cabernet that hits all the right notes. In 2019, the Black Label is a real head turner. The flamboyant style offers tons of immediacy that will make the 2019 pretty hard to resist right out of the gate. (AG)" (01/2022)
Current Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2019 Hall "Beller Vineyard " Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD) and 1-bottle of 2019 Hall "Sacrashe Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 96RP, 96TWI). Of the 2019 Hall "Sacrashe Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "From a site on the eastern side of Rutherford, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Sacrashe Vineyard is one hell of an incredible effort, as well as a borderline perfect wine. Black cherries, black olives, tobacco, camphor, iron, and some foresty, earthy notes all define this thrilling wine, which is full-bodied and has a deep, layered, seamless mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and no hard edges. It's a brilliant, deep, complex, layered effort to enjoy over the coming 20-25 years or more." (12/2023)
Current Bid: $343.00

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Latour, Pauillac (96RP, 96VN, 96WS, 94ST). Vinous: "One of the most pleasant surprises in this tasting, the 2002 Latour is just beginning to show the full breadth of its aromatic complexity, but it is also has more than enough depth to drink well for several decades. Tar, graphite, incense and smoke open up in the glass in a Latour that leans towards the more delicate, feminine side of things. Silky tannins add polish and creaminess through to the finish. The 2002 is surprisingly delicious today for a young Latour, but it also has the pedigree and density to age nicely for decades. (AG)" (07/2016)
Current Bid: $385.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (97JS, 95JA, 95RP, 95WS, 94JD, 94VN). James Suckling: " I love the aromas here with forest flowers, wild mushrooms and tobacco, as well as currants. Full and very layered with creamy tannins that caress your palate. So long and enticing. Such a gorgeous Bordeaux that is just starting to show its real self. Love it. Drink or hold." (01/2021)
Current Bid: $280.00

Bid on this bottle of 1994 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (96CG, 96RP, 94VN, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "A spectacular wine, the 1994 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select begins a succession of profound Hillside Select cuvées that continues nearly uninterrupted (1996 misses slightly) to the present day. It is a further indication of just how impressive this team’s performance has been at this winery. The fully mature 1994, which has another 15-20 years of drinkability ahead of it, exhibits a complex, nearly flamboyant nose of subtle oak, blue, red and black fruits, graphite and licorice. The gorgeous aromas are followed by an opulent, full-bodied, multidimensional mouthfeel that coats the palate. (RP)" (12/2014)
Current Bid: $228.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100JD, 100RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard may be even better. Notes of caramelized citrus, hazelnut, apple blossom, lemon oil and orange marmalade are all present in this wine of dazzling aromatic and flavor dimension. It is full-bodied, again shows some wet pebbles (which I equate with minerality), vibrant acidity, and no real evidence of any oak. Much like the 2012, the finish goes on for 45+ seconds. This is another killer Chardonnay from Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer. (RP)" (03/2016)
Current Bid: $1,100.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 MacDonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 97RP, 95DC, 95VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "There are two monumental wines from these two brothers. Looking first at the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, this beauty does everything right, and if it wasn’t for the 2016, I’d probably have thought it was a perfect wine. Sporting a deep purple color as well as a powerful bouquet of gorgeous crème de cassis and black raspberry fruits intermixed with subtle new oak, camphor, and chocolate, this majestic 2015 hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, a layered, multi-dimensional texture, and loads of sweet tannins. It shows the exuberant, sexy style of the 2015 vintage yet is always balanced, pure, and even elegant. It’s going to continue drinking brilliantly for another three decades and readers should count themselves lucky if they have some of this elixir in their cellar." (01/2019)
Current Bid: $466.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96WS, 93VN, 92W&S). Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection exhibits an opaque purple color, slightly more toasty oak in the aromatics, and explosive richness on the attack, mid-palate and length. The nose is slightly more restrained than in the regular bottling, but there is no doubting the Special Selection is a cut or two above the Napa bottling when it hits the palate. Extraordinary purity of fruit, creme de cassis, licorice and incense all emerge from this full-bodied, iconic classic. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 25+ years. (AG)" (10/2013)
Current Bid: $165.00

Bid on this bottle of 1976 La Mission Haut-Brion, Graves . The history of La Mission Haut Brion dates back to the 16th century, when it was owned by the Lestonnac family, who were related to the Pontac family, the owners of Chateau Haut Brion. In 1682, the estate was donated to the Congregation of the Mission, a religious order founded by Saint Vincent de Paul. The priests cultivated the vineyards for nearly 130 years, until the French Revolution, when the estate was confiscated by the state. The estate changed hands several times, until it was bought by the Woltner family in 1919, who modernized the winemaking and improved the quality of the wines. In 1983, the estate was sold to Domaine Clarence Dillon, the owners of Chateau Haut Brion, who have continued the tradition of excellence and innovation.
Current Bid: $202.00

Bid on this bottle of 1968 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour" Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98VN, 97RP, 93WS). Vinous: "Medium-deep red with a greenish-amber rim. Highly complex aromas of raspberry, cherry, mocha, dark chocolate, celery seed and balsamic cedar, with a hint of volatile acidity contributing personality and lift. This legendary wine still boasts bulletproof fruit and a compellingly juicy texture, with a sexy hint of truffle adding interest with air. A wine of great class and balance, finishing subtle, fresh, firm and very long, with sweet, fine-grained tannins. André Tchelistcheff called 1968 his greatest vintage and this wine is still going strong a half century later, with no end in sight. Its balance of sweetness and acidity is stunning. This wine was full-bodied in the early going, in contrast to the initially austere '69, according to current winemaker Trevor Durling. (ST)" (04/2019)
Current Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Promontory Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100DC, 100JA, 100JS, 100TWI, 100VN, 98JD, 95RP) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2018 Promontory is as phenomenal as it has always been, but it, too is going through a period of reticence. This dark, brooding Cabernet is packed with character. Time in the glass brings out striking inner perfume and sweetness. There is a feeling of stark minimalism in the 2018 that I find compelling. Constantly changing in the glass, the 2018 is a magical, exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon. (AG)" (02/2023)
Current Bid: $2,355.00

Bid on this bottle of 1970 Giuseppe e Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo (98DC, 98VN, 94JG). Vinous: "In my opinion, Mascarello's 1970 Barolo Monprivato remains one of the greatest Barolos ever made. I remember taking a bottle of this wine to a dinner a few months ago and my host thinking I was bringing a lesser vintage! Barolo fans know the 1970 is the first Monprivato, and since it was made from a parcel planted with 100% Michet, it is also in a sense the first Ca' d'Morissio. Still stunning, the 1970 exploded from the glass with seemingly endless layers of dark fruit, leather, licorice, smoke, plums and exotic spices. Readers fortunate enough to own the 1970 need not to worry, the wine will drink well for decades to come. (AG)" (10/2013)
Current Bid: $560.00

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97JA, 96WS, 94DC, 93RP). Jane Anson: "Velvety ruby red, gorgeous balance, love how confident this is, with depth and class and utterly moreish. One of my favourites in the lineup, showing so much better than the last time I tasted it, and it still has a way to go in front of it. Clear spice, plump blackberry, loganberry and red cherry fruits, liqourice, cocoa bean, espresso, capturing a purity of fruit expression yet creamy in texture. 30 days skin contact." (06/2022)
Current Bid: $373.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 2021 Ausone, St-Emilion (3L) (OWC - (97-100RP), (96-97JS), (93-95VN)) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "A blend of 65% Cabernet Franc and 35% Merlot, the 2021 Ausone is a strong candidate for the title of wine of the vintage. Wafting from the glass with aromas of wild blueberries and raspberries mingled with rose petals, violets, exotic spices, vine smoke and blood orange, it's full-bodied, seamless and sensual, with a satiny attack that segues into a deep, layered mid-palate of breathtaking precision and intensity without weight. Built around bright acids and ultra-refined tannins and concluding with a resonant, perfumed finish, this profound young Ausone represents the essence of this great limestone terroir. I am not in the habit of drinking six-month-old Bordeaux cask samples, but this is one wine that would have sorely tempted me to make an exception to that rule if my appointment at the estate hadn't been one of the first of the day! (WK) " (04/2022)
Current Bid: $1,550.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Colgin "Herb Lamb Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97VN, 92WS). Wine Advocate: "I realize perfection in wine, like perfection in anything, is in the eyes of the beholder, and there are those who believe perfection is simply unobtainable. But in my mind, the 1996 and 1995 come close to perfection. Why? First of all, these extraordinary expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon are awesomely concentrated and endowed, while at the same time elegant and amazingly harmonious. The equilibrium between the wines' component parts - new oak, alcohol, tannin, acidity, and extract - is right on, with nothing out of place. The 1996 and 1995 could be mistaken for identical twins, although close examination reveals that the 1995 has a slightly firmer tannic edge, and the 1996 slightly lower acidity. (RP)" (12/1997)
Current Bid: $285.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 1996 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (375ml) (95DC, 92JG, 92WS, 91RP, 91ST). Decanter: Deep plum in colour, holding its Pauillac character perfectly at 25 years old, opening up to show cedar, pencil shavings, tobacco, graphite, cassis and touches of raspberry purée. This is very much in the drinking window, with waves of camphor, charcoal, woodsmoke and tobacco adding complexity and interest. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend. (JA) (03/2021)
Current Bid: $534.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Nickel & Nickel "Copper Streak" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon. Nickel & Nickel was founded in Oakville in 1997 by the owners of Far Niente (the similarity of their label is hard to miss). In contrast to Far Niente, Nickel & Nickel is dedicated to producing varietal wines from distinct individual vineyards. Each vineyard is farmed and vinified to best illustrate its unique site. In turn, some vineyards are not far apart in distance, but the wines are very different in character. Vineyard notes from the winery: "Copper Streak Vineyard is located in a protected hollow at the base of the palisades in Stags Leap District. "
Current Bid: $125.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Rhys "Skyline Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (98JD, 97RP, 97VN, 95JG, 93BH). Jeb Dunnuck writes: "From a steep vineyard located just off the Skyline Road, in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains, the 2018 Pinot Noir Skyline Vineyard is pure class, offering a complex, layered bouquet of redcurrants, black raspberries, orange blossom, forest floor, exotic flowers, and spice. Showing more minerality as well as a touch of iodine character, on the palate, this puppy is rich, full-bodied, and powerful, with lots of underlying structure. It's one of the bigger, richer examples of this cuvée I can remember, yet it says flawlessly balanced and has an expansive mouthfeel along with a gorgeous finish." (09/2020)
Current Bid: $77.00

Bid on this magnum of 2005 Ramey "Rodgers Creek" Sonoma Coast Syrah (1.5L) (94RP, 92ST). 94 points Robert Parker: "The 2005 Syrah Rodger’s Creek Vineyard boasts a black/purple color as well as abundant notes of crushed pepper, incense, Chinese black tea, plums, tapenade, and blackberries. It reminds me of a 2003 Clape Cornas from the Rhone Valley. Huge, tannic, and promising, it will drink well for 8-12 years." (12/07) 92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby. Intensely aromatic nose offers potent cassis, blackberry, licorice and floral notes. Sexy and impressively pure, with bright red and dark berry flavors underscored by zesty mineral and pepper notes. There's more than a suggestion of the Northern Rhone here. Shows great energy and punch on the finish, which boasts outstanding persistence and a very sexy combination of fruits and spices. Ramey says that this is a particularly cool site." (May/June '07)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Auguste Clape "Renaissance" Cornas (92VN, 92WS, 91RP). Vinous: "Inky ruby. Spice- and smoke-accented dark berry, licorice and olive aromas on the deeply perfumed nose; a complicating floral nuance builds in the glass. Densely packed cherry, cassis and spicecake flavors are braced by an undertone of juicy minerality that adds lively cut and lift. Shows excellent clarity on the sweet, expansive finish, which is framed by harmonious tannins. (JR)" (02/2017)
Current Bid: $102.00

Bid on this bottle of 1999 E. Guigal "La Mouline" Côte-Rôtie (100JD, 100RP, 99WS, 97VN, 94JS). Wine Advocate: "The most developed, evolved and forward of the three La-La’s in this vintage is the dense purple-colored 1999 Cote Rotie La Mouline. An extraordinary effort, it offers a smorgasbord of aromas and flavors. Scents of violets, raspberries, blackberries, roasted espresso, balsamic vinegar, and pepper tumble out of the glass. It is unctuously-textured, full-bodied, and fabulously concentrated with a tremendous purity and seamlessness that must be tasted to be believed. A wine of singular greatness... (RP)" (06/2003)
Current Bid: $581.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2015 Hoopes "Dante's Block" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Joe Czerwinski of Wine Advocate gives the following update on this estate: "Aaron Pott joined the Hoopes team in 2020, in time to impact the 2018 vintage Cabernet releases, and that—combined with an excellent vintage—marks a step up in the trajectory of these wines. The blended Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, in particular, represents a terrific value."
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Hudson "Old Master" Carneros Bordeaux Blend (96JD, 94JS, 93VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Old Master checks in as 78% Cabernet Franc, 18% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s another beautiful wine, offering lots of both dark cherry and currant fruits, notes of spring flowers and graphite, medium to full body, ripe tannins, and impeccable balance. I’d be thrilled to drink a bottle any time over the coming 10-15 years. (Drink between 2022-2037)" (03/2022)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Harlan "The Maiden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 95WS, 93VN, 92JD, 92RP) in original wood. Wine Spectator: "This has dark plum, boysenberry and blackberry compote notes that are rich and deep, but not bombastic, harnessed by violet, warm earth and singed alder notes that run from start to finish. Warm humus notes pervade on the finish, echoing nicely while working in tandem with the fruit. (JM)" (07/2021)
Current Bid: $581.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Margaux, Margaux (94JA, 94RP, 94VN, 93ST, 93WS). Vinous: "The 1999 Chateau Margaux is another overlooked vintage that transcends the growing season. This example, which is from an ex-château magnum, is delightful. It offers a slightly more fruit-driven, heartier bouquet than you would presuppose from a supposed mediocre season. Black fruit is laced with graphite and clove and blossoms with aeration while maintaining superb delineation. The palate is still youthful with seamlessly integrated oak, fine tannins and gorgeous black fruit tinged with tobacco and smoke. This First Growth has an effortless and unexpectedly sumptuous quality, and it will continue to drink well for another 20 or 25 years. (NM)" (09/2023)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2015 Produttori del Barbaresco "Montestefano" Barbaresco Riserva (97DC, 94KO, 94RP, 94VN, 94WE, 94WS) and 1-bottle of 2017 Produttori del Barbaresco "Montestefano" Barbaresco Riserva (96RP, 95KO, 93TWI, 93VN, 93WS). Of the 2015 Produttori del Barbaresco "Montestefano" Barbaresco Riserva, Decanter writes: "Similar in makeup and location to Montefico but on a steeper slope, Montestefano is one of the last vineyards in Barbaresco to be picked. It was first produced as a single-vineyard wine by Produttori in 1974. The 2015 is big but balanced: Intense aromas of macerated cherry are joined by some blackberry and barrel spice notes. The acidity is perfectly balanced, playing off the structure and density on the palate, helping this to remain light on its feet throughout. Superb. (JB)" (01/2020)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Ultramarine "Heintz Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Rosé Sparkling Wine (97RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Sparkling Rosé Heintz Vineyard is composed mainly of Pinot Noir, made without malolactic conversion and bottled without filtration. It was aged on the lees in bottle for 40 months and has just below five atmospheres of pressure (as opposed to the six to 6.5 bars of pressure in the Cruse Tradition sparklings), resulting in a creamier texture. "What matters more is pressure, not time en tirage, " notes winemaker Michael Cruse.

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2018 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (98JS, 98VN, 98WE, 97JD, 97TWI, 95JA, 94DC). Vinous: "When I tasted the 2018 Pontet-Canet in barrel I described it as a "freak of nature." The 2018 is more than that, it is a freak of nature. Made from yields of just ten hectoliters per hectare, the 2018 possesses off the charts richness, phenomenal balance and head-spinning intensity. Crushed red berries, flowers, mint, cedar and rose petal saturate the palate in a Pauillac of breath-taking richness. The silkiest of tannins frame the phenomenally pure, long finish. (AG)" (03/2021)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1999 Laville Haut-Brion Blanc, Pessac-Léognan (91RP). Wine Advocate: "Aromas of apricots, peaches, honeysuckle, lanolin, and candle wax emerge from the glass of this smoky, medium to full-bodied, fleshy 1999. Having put on considerable weight in the bottle, it is pure, with good acidity, and appears to be on a fast evolutionary track. (RP)" (12/2002)

Notes on this rare bottling, from importer Frederick Wildman: "The Marchesi di Barolo Estate encompasses approximately 430 acres of vineyards in the Langhe, some of the finest in Piedmont. The cellars are located in the village of Barolo, overlooking the magnificent village landmark, the Renaissance castle of the Marchesi Falletti di Barolo. Per the wishes of Marchesa Giulia, a great philanthropist, the family assets were donated to charity and a non-profit foundation was created in their name, 'Opera Pia Barolo, ' helping the most needy of nea

There are 750 cases of the 2003 Altagracia, a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot.
