Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2014 Pride Mountain Napa-Sonoma Counties Merlot (1.5L) (91JD, 91WS, 90VN). Wine Spectator: Powerful, with good cut to the well-structured flavors of dark currant, plum and blackberry, supported by firm tannins. Dark chocolate and Asian spice notes fill the savory and lip-smacking finish. (KM) (02/2018)
Current Bid: $137.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2016 G.B. Burlotto "Acclivi" Barolo (97VN, 97WE, 96DC, 96RP, 96WS) and 1-bottle of 2016 G.B. Burlotto "Acclivi" Barolo (97VN, 97WE, 96DC, 96RP, 96WS). Of the 2016 G.B. Burlotto "Acclivi" Barolo, Vinous writes: "The 2016 Barolo Acclivi is a deep, plush and hauntingly beautiful wine with tremendous power, dazzling intensity and remarkable richness. An ample, expansive and broad wine of striking inner perfume and sweetness, the 2016 is flat-out stunning. Crushed raspberry, mint, spice and blood orange infuse the 2016 with incredible depth and complexity before it finishes with mind-blowing intensity. All I can say is: Wow! (AG)" (02/2020)
Current Bid: $320.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JD, 98RP, 97JS, 96WE, 95W&S). Wine Advocate: "Still a young wine at age 12, the 2001 Insignia exhibits a dense purple color along with a sweet bouquet of camphor, blackberries, cassis, incense and spring flowers. Full-bodied, rich and heady with sweet tannin, stunning concentration and a fabulous finish, this remarkable Insignia has 25 or more years of life ahead of it. (RP) 98+" (11/2013)
Starting Bid: $570.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 98JS, 97VN, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "Fermented and aged in 80% new French oak barrels, the 2017 Chardonnay UV-SL flaunts a wonderfully Puligny-esque nose, featuring a subtle, elusive matchstick character over the bold grapefruit, white peaches and lemon pie scents plus nuances of cashews, melted candle, crushed rocks and oyster shells. Full-bodied, the palate is arrestingly elegant with a whole myriad of nuances, delivering seamless freshness at its core and finishing very long with loads of lingering savory notes. (LPB)" (10/2019)
Current Bid: $280.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 2008 Veuve Clicquot "La Grande Dame" Brut Champagne (3L) in original wood.
Current Bid: $645.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Dana Estates "Lotus Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 97RP, (94-97ST), 97VN, 95WS, 94JS) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Lotus Vineyard is rich, creamy and expansive. Silky contours wrap around a core of dark red plum fruit, blood orange and spice, with a kick of French oak that lingers. The Lotus has come together very nicely. It represents a sort of middle ground between the Helms and Hershey, with more fruit and overall depth than the former, but less structure than the latter. I appreciate its mix of textural creaminess and vibrancy. I would prefer to drink the 2012 over the next decade or so. (AG)" (05/2024)
Current Bid: $750.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Hourglass Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90VN). Vinous: "Bright medium ruby to the rim. Less obvious and slightly less green on the nose than the Blueline Vineyard examples, with dark fruits and bitter chocolate dominating. Then suaver in texture and more vibrant, with nicely integrated acidity giving shape to the slightly medicinal cassis, blueberry, licorice, menthol and spice flavors. Still a relatively unrestrained style but shows more inner-mouth lift than the Blueline. And more harmonious on the back end, as the tannins are finer and sweeter and the acidity is in balance with the wine's fruit. Longer, too. (ST)" (07/2019)
Current Bid: $75.00

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret (91VN). Vinous: "Good dark red. Slightly medicinal aromas of blackberry, licorice, menthol and espresso. At once densely packed and juicy, showing a savory character to the flavors of dark berries, chocolate and licorice pastille. Finishes with building, oak-driven tannins and good grip. (ST)" (05/2014)
Starting Bid: $50.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Kapcsándy "Rapszodia - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Franc (98JD, 98RP, 96JS, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "Produced from 100% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Rapszodia has a very deep garnet-purple color and nose of kirsch, cassis, blueberry tart and dark chocolate with hints of violets, pencil shavings, beef drippings and tilled soil. Medium-bodied, incredibly elegant and yet with super-intense red and black fruits, it has a firm structure of grainy tannins and great freshness, finishing long and minerally. (LPB) 98+" (12/2017)
Starting Bid: $405.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Realm "Farella Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 97RP, 97WE, 96JD, 95DC, 95VN). James Suckling: "Intense aromas of licorice, blackberries and tar follow through to a full body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. Turns spicy, including red pepper and cayenne." (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $405.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Tor Kenward "Tierra Roja Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (97IWR, 95JS, 95RP, 94DC, 94WS). Int'l Wine Review: "Another outstanding showing in this vintage from Tor Kenward is the Tierra Roja Cabernet Sauvignon. Tierra Roja is a small 4-acre vineyard situated in Oakville and possesses characteristics of large rocks and red soils, hence its name. The 2014 is a absolutely majestic wine, which opens with gorgeous perfumed aromas of freshly crushed blackberries and dark currants, along with spring floral, graphite, sweet spices, mineral and underlying notes of dark chocolate and anise. (JD)" (01/2017)
Current Bid: $255.00

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot; including 4-bottles of 2014 Linne Calodo "Sticks & Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (94RP, 92VN, 92WS) and 2-bottles of 2015 Linne Calodo "Sticks & Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (95JD, 93RP, 93VN). Of the 2015 Linne Calodo "Sticks & Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "As to the 2015s, the 2015 Sticks and Stones checks in as an interesting blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Cinsault that saw a touch of whole clusters and aging in larger format puncheons and foudres. It offers lots of baking spices, dried strawberries, black cherries, charred meats and scorched earth in a downright silky, seamless, incredibly elegant package. It has fine tannin, but this beauty just glides across the palate, has no hard edges and a great finish. It's one of those wines that grows on you with time in the glass as opposed to hitting you over the head right from the start. " (08/2017)
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Cakebread "Vaca" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95JD, 92RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Readers looking for a great value should check out the 2015 Vaca Red Blend which is 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc and 3% Merlot. This beauty spent 22 months in 61% new French oak and offers lots of Cabernet Franc like violets and floral nuances as well as more cassis, leafy herbs and damp earth. It’s medium to full-bodied, pure, polished, and elegant, with a seamlessness that makes it already a joy to drink. It’s going to keep for two decades." (12/2017)
Current Bid: $235.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2014 Inglenook "Rubicon" Rutherford Bordeaux Blend (97JS, 95JD, 95RP, 95VN, 95W&S, 94DC, 94TWI, 94WE). James Suckling: "Aromas of blackcurrants, dark chocolate and dried flowers. Very aromatic. Full body, velvety tannins and impressive intensity and richness. Opulent fruit, yet this is still lightly austere and velvety. A beauty every sense of the word. Harmonious, classic wine. " (01/2017)
Current Bid: $370.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2015 L'Aventure "Les Demoiselles" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (95JD, 95RP, 94VN) and 2-bottles of 2016 L'Aventure "Les Demoiselles" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96VN, 95JD, 93RP). Of the 2016 L'Aventure "Les Demoiselles" Paso Robles Rhône Blend, Vinous writes: "Youthful purple. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe dark berries, candied flowers, incense and exotic spices, along with a smoky mineral overtone. Pliant, seamless and intensely spicy on the palate, offering deeply concentrated, mineral-laced blackberry, bitter cherry, vanilla and floral pastille flavors that firm up slowly as the wine opens up. Concentrated yet energetic, even lithe, delivering strong finishing thrust and dusty, well-knit tannins that come in late. (JR)" (09/2018)
Starting Bid: $220.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98WS, 97JS, 96RP, 96ST, 96W&S, 95DC, 95VN). Wine Spectator: "A highlight of the tasting, with rocking energy, dense black currant and black berry fruit and loads of singed wood thoroughly embedded throughout. Juicy bramble, alder and bay leaf notes chime in, with a mouthwatering mineral spine buried deep on the finish. (JM, Web-2019)"
Current Bid: $365.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Williams Selyem "Bucher Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95WE, 93VN). Wine Enthusiast: "For sheer voluptuous pleasure, this is one of Williams Selyem’s best 2010s. It just floods the mouth with flavors of raspberry and cherry Pop-Tarts, with the most wonderful array of spices and a tender use of oak. Hard to keep from drinking it now, but it should age well over the next 8-10 years. " (03/2013)
Current Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 5-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2015 Tensley "Colson Canyon Vineyard" Santa Barbara County Syrah (95JD, 94VN, 94WS, 91WE), 1-bottle of 2017 Tensley "Colson Canyon Vineyard" Santa Barbara County Syrah (97JD, 95WS, 94VN, 93RP), 1-bottle of 2018 Tensley "Colson Canyon Vineyard" Santa Barbara County Syrah (97JD, 97VN, 95WE, (92-94RP), 94WS), and 2-bottles of 2019 Tensley "Colson Canyon Vineyard" Santa Barbara County Syrah (96JD, 95RP, 95VN, 95WS). Of the 2017 Tensley "Colson Canyon Vineyard" Santa Barbara County Syrah, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The quality from this vineyard has skyrocketed since Tensley purchased the site and took over the farming, and that’s never been more apparent than with the 2017 Syrah Colson Canyon, which is another “finest to date” for the cuvée. " (10/2019)
Current Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 96WE, 95ST, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "Araujo’s spectacular 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard is a 1, 700-case blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot from a vineyard tucked in the lower hillsides of northeastern Napa Valley, not far from the quaint town of Calistoga. Araujo has enjoyed an incredible string of top-notch vintages from 2001 through 2005 and again from 2008 through 2010. Extremely youthful at age ten, the 2002 is a candidate for perfection. Its dense blue/purple hue is followed by abundant aromas of cassis, incense, crushed rocks and spring flowers. Full-bodied and opulent as well as pure, rich and authoritative, with abundant but beautifully integrated tannins, this opulent, plush 2002 can be drunk now or cellared for another 20-25 years. (RP)" (06/2012)
Current Bid: $615.00

Bid on this 5-half-bottle lot of 1998 Mendelson Napa Valley Muscat Canelli Dessert Wine (375ml) (91WS). Wine Spectator: Sweet. Wonderful, spicy varietal character, with spice, spice and more spice, also ginger, orange peel, pear, anise and floral notes. Quite distinctive. (JL) (06/2000)
Starting Bid: $75.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 94VN, 93RP, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 M. Étain is another gem of a wine, and while it’s billed as a second wine of Scarecrow, it has a style all its own. The 2018 is reminiscent of a great Saint-Julien, with its purity and elegance paired with textbook Cabernet notes of crème de cassis, crushed violets, earth, and liquid rock-like minerality. It’s just as gorgeous on the palate and has a full-bodied, seamless, ultra-pure texture, ripe yet present tannins, and a great finish. As with the Grand Vin, it offers pleasure today but is going to be better with 3-5 years of bottle age. ... this is another brilliant release from winemaker Celia Welch." (01/2021)
Current Bid: $570.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Diamond Creek "Gravelly Meadow" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95CG, 95RP, 95W&S, 93WE, 92VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravelly Meadow comes from a 5-acre vineyard planted on stony and gravelly soils. While it is the most evolved and forward of this trio, it is by no means fully mature as it easily needs 3-5 more years of cellaring. Aromas of wet rocks, smoky barbecue nuances, vanillin, black currants, graphite and chocolate emerge from this full-bodied, opulent, somewhat austere red. The great purity and exuberance of Napa Cabernet fruit is underlaid by a Bordeaux-like tannic structure. A sensational effort, it will easily last another 2-3 decades. (RP) 95+" (06/2012)
Current Bid: $515.00

Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this magnum of 2012 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP, 95VN, 93CG, 93JS, 93WS, 92WE). Wine Advocate: "The incredible 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot treated identically to the Reserve Claret (40% new French oak aged in wood for 22 months prior to bottling). There are nearly 1, 500 cases of this wine, with 60% coming from the Sonoma side and 40% from Napa. An absolutely amazing nose of camphor, lead pencil shavings, blackberry and cassis, some new saddle leather, a touch of spicy oak followed by a profoundly concentrated, multi-dimensional mouthfeel with gorgeous integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol. This is a fabulous, seamlessly constructed Cabernet Sauvignon to drink now and over the next 15+ years. Kudos to Pride! (RP)" (10/2015)
Current Bid: $285.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 3-bottles of 2021 Next Of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard #15" Central Coast Red Blend (100JD, 99VN, 93RP) and 1-bottle of 2021 Next Of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Número Siete" Central Coast Touriga Nacional (98VN, 94RP). Of the 2021 Next Of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard #15" Central Coast Red Blend, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Red and blue fruits, ground pepper, sandalwood, new leather, and who knows what else emerges from 2021 No 15 Cumulus Vineyard, another absolutely sensational effort from this genius of a winemaker. Based on 40% Grenache, 34% Syrah, 22% Petite Sirah, and the balance white varieties, it's full-bodied, has a deep, layered mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and not a hard edge to be found. It picks up more floral nuances with time in the glass and has a rare mix of richness, elegance, and purity. " (08/2024)
Current Bid: $752.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Morlet "Force Tranquille" Napa Valley Cabernet Franc (98JD, 98VN, 95DC). Vinous: "A new wine in this range, the 2019 Force Tranquille is a Cabernet Franc-based blend that incorporates a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, both from Cœur de Vallée. It's a stunning debut. Dark shades of fruit intermingled with spice, dried herbs, leather and coffee lend soaring complexity. Franc can be magical in Oakville, as it is here. Superb. (AG)" (10/2021)
Current Bid: $470.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "En Chamberlin" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (97IWR, 96RP, 95VN, 94WE, 93WS). Int'l Wine Review: "The 2013 Cayuse 'En Chamberlin Vineyard' Syrah is a true heavyhitter artfully crafted by superstar winemaker Christophe Baron. Displaying an intense aromatic profile of seaweed, Umami, damp earth, wet gravel and wild blackberry, the intoxicating bouquet brings you back to the glass for more. On the palate there are ripe flavors of smoked pork shoulder, Umami, black olive, boysenberry pie, smoked brisket and light suggestions of coffee grounds. The texture of this wine borders ethereal, as this is translucent, yet dense on the mid-palate. What is so compelling is this level of minerality and poise has been captured despite the heat of the vintage. (OB)" (10/2016)
Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Donnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshohle Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel Nahe (98JG, 95RP). John Gilman: "The purity and precision of the 2018 Hermannshöhle Auslese is the stuff that legends used to be made from. The bouquet is complex and utterly refined, offering up scents of pear, white cherries, bee pollen, a touch of orange zest, lovely salinity and a mineral bath of slate. On the palate the wine is fullish, racy and utterly seamless in its balance, with great intensity of flavor, laser-like focus and truly stunning mineral drive on the backend (particularly for Auslese), with an endless and magical finish. (Drink between 2032-2090)" (04/2019)
Current Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2022 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN). Vinous: "The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard is supple and juicy, qualities that will be best appreciated on the early side. It offers tons of forward appeal, if not quite the dimension, power of intensity of the best years. There's no way to get past the challenges of the brutal heat here. (AG)" (12/2024)
Current Bid: $790.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Gérard Boulay "Monts Damnés" Sancerre. George Boulay’s estate in Sancerre traces its roots back to 1380, with today’s vineyards focused on historic parcels cultivated by the Boulay family for centuries. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Tor Kenward "Tierra Roja Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96JS, 94JD, 93RP, 93VN). Current Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Linne Calodo "The Martian" Willow Creek Cabernet Sauvignon.
Current Bid: $105.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Rhys "Skyline Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (95JG, 95ST, 95VN, 94RP, 93BH). Vinous: "An utterly magnificent wine, the 2012 Pinot Noir Skyline Vineyard is even more compelling from bottle than it was from barrel. Pine, menthol, dried red cherries and rose petals meld effortlessly into a core of a dark, red-toned fruit as this complex, kaleidoscopic wine shows off its pedigree. The Skyline plays across all dimensions, with expressive, high-toned aromatics and deep layers of fruit supported by insistent structure. Hints of leather, smoke, mint and licorice add nuance on the chiseled finish. This is a magnificent showing from Rhys. The 2012 Skyline was vinified with 100% whole clusters. (AG)" (07/2014)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2021 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (99IWR, 97WS, 96JD, 96WE, 95JS, 94VN) and 1-bottle of 2021 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (99IWR, 97JS, 96JD, 96VN, 96WE, 96WS). Of the 2021 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Grenache, Int'l Wine Review writes: "The 2021 Sur Echalas Vineyard Grenache by Horsepower rested for 15 months in 100% neutral French oak barrels. Another stunning bottle of Grenache from the team at Cayuse/Horsepower, this one gifts an eye-popping glimmering ruby red core with a pinkish rim. Gobs of minerality and saline start things off with plenty of crushed red fruit, red and black licorice, cedary herbs, and wet stone tones hitting hard on the palate. The mouthfeel is elongated and enveloping in all aspects and it finishes long and smooth. 284 cases were made. Highly recommended and editor’s choice."
Starting Bid: $198.00

Bid on this bottle of 1985 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg Grand Cru (100WS, 98RP, 96JS, 95JG, 95VN, 94BH). Wine Spectator: "A truly great wine. Amazing concentration, brimming with focused cherry, plum, smoke and cinnamon flavors, all tied together into a harmonious package that keeps echoing and changing with every sip. Beautifully smooth but firm on the palate, it has the uncanny feeling of power with no weight, only mass. *Top 100 Wines of 1988* (HS)" (02/1988)

Of the 2012 L'Aventure "Optimus Estate" Paso Robles Red Blend, Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Optimus is similarly sexy and polished, with brilliant blackberry, black cherry, licorice, chocolate and charred earth-like aromas and flavors, full-bodied richness and a seamless, forward and hard-to-resist style. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Williams Selyem "Hirsch Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95WE, 92CG, 92VN, 91W&S). Wine Enthusiast: "One sip is all it takes to be blown away by this Pinot’s beauty. It’s exquisitely crafted, a testament to both the vineyard and the winery’s oenological talent. The palate is bright and tangy with acidity, and incredibly complex flavors of wild berries, mushrooms, balsam, cola and Asian spices. It’s dramatic now, but will continue to improve for at least 15 years. *Cellar Selection* " (02/2014)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 The Vineyardist Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is flirting with perfection already. It is 100% estate Cabernet Sauvignon from clones 7, 33 and 337, and the harvest took place in late October. The wine was aged in 100% new French oak, of which three-fourths were Darnajou barrels and 25% Taransaud. Unfortunately, only 240 cases were produced. The wine is an absolutely spectacular Diamond Mountain Cabernet. Dense purple, with notes of charcoal, burning embers, licorice, blackberry and cassis, the wine hits the palate with a cascade of gorgeously pure fruit, a full-bodied opulence, but sweet tannin appears in the finish, giving the wine grip and delineation. (RP)" (10/2015)
Current Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2005 Larkmead "Firebelle" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (91RP, 91ST, 90WS) and 2-bottles of 2006 Larkmead "Firebelle" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (91RP, 91ST). Of the 2005 Larkmead "Firebelle" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend, Wine Advocate writes: "The 2005 Firebelle, a blend of 48% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, has a Bordeaux-like personality in this vintage. Revealing some spicy black cherry and cedary notes intermixed with some forest floor and subtle barrique, the wine has excellent ripeness, a touch of licorice in the mouth, and a medium-bodied, stylish, but long finish with hints of white chocolate. (RP)" (12/2007)
Starting Bid: $170.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Alban "Seymour’s Vineyard" Edna Valley Syrah (98JD, (96-97VN)). Jeb Dunnuck: "From a tiny parcel at the very top of the estate, the 2017 Syrah Seymour's is a tight, backward, yet beautifully concentrated Syrah with lots of cassis and currant fruits as well as the classic Alban iodine, mineral, tapenade, and spice-driven aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, it doesn't have the expansive, sexy style of the Lorraine and, as is common with this cuvée, it's built for the long haul. Hide bottles for 7-8 years and it will keep for 30 years or more. (JD) 98+" (09/2021)
Current Bid: $138.43

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JS, 100RP, 95WS, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "There are 550 cases of the perfect 2007 Cariad (original rating was 99). One of northern California’s watershed vintages for Bordeaux varietals, according to Allison Tauziet, this wine revealed great potential from the day the first grapes were crushed. It possesses a dense purple color, massive fruit, soft but high tannin, and a structural profile somewhat similar to the 2002. There appears to be more underlying minerality in the 2007, but the sweetness of the tannin, the enormous concentration of fruit (blackberry, blueberry, cherry) intermixed with graphite, chocolate, coffee and crushed rock characteristics is striking. This is a compelling, even prodigious wine that hits all the palate’s sweet spots, possesses phenomenal upside potential, and is a modern day legend in the making. (RP)" (05/2011)
Current Bid: $675.00

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2012 Barnett Vineyards Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (92RP, 91VN, 91WS). Wine Advocate: The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a deep ruby/purple color in addition to classic notes of crème de cassis, blueberries and a hint of that mountain wildflower character that is a part of the Spring Mountain District appellation. Sweet tannins, beautiful ripeness, and a long, textured mouthfeel are found in this beauty. It is one of the finest wines the Barnetts have made since this winery was founded in 1983. (RP) (10/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend ((96-98RP), 97JS, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2012s made from Bordeaux varietals include their flagship wine, the 2012 Proprietary Red Les Pavots, a sensational blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. A prodigious effort, it rivals some of the fabulous past vintages such as 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2007. The inky/purple-colored 2012 boasts classic notes of crème de cassis, roasted coffee, vanilla bean, cedar, forest floor and blueberries. Full-bodied and complex with sweet tannin as well as hints of charcoal and camphor, this opulent, multi-leveled, Bordeaux-styled 2012 can be drunk now or cellared for 25-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2014)

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2019 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((97-100RP), 99JS, 98VN), 1-bottle of 2020 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 96WS, 95JS, 94VN), 1-bottle of 2021 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 98JS, 98VN), and 1-bottle of 2022 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((98-100TWI), 99JS, 98RP). Of the 2019, Wine Advocate writes: "Fermented and aged in 100% new French oak. Unlike the other 2019 Aubert Chardonnays, this one needs a little swirling and coaxing to reveal the youthfully mute nuances of sea spray, crushed cashews, beeswax and allspice over a core of fresh pineapple, passion fruit, lemon meringue pie and toast. The full-bodied palate delivers the most gorgeous silken texture with tons of opulent spice-laced tropical fruit flavors and a refreshing line, finishing with incredible length and energy. Singularly stunning. (LPB)" (01/2021)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2018 Müller-Catoir Haardter Bürgergarten Im Breumel Riesling Großes Gewächs (96JS, 93RP, 93VN). James Suckling: "Extremely fresh and youthful for six years of age, this great Pfalz dry riesling has an enchanting interplay of pink grapefruit aroma and salty minerality on the concentrated, impeccably balanced, medium-bodied palate. So delicious now, but with underlying tension that suggests it has many years of life ahead of it. Drink or hold. (SP)" (02/2025)

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Sine Qua Non "Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Central Coast Grenache (100JD, 100TWI, 99RP, 97VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Grenache Eleven Confessions Vineyard comes all from the estate vineyard located on the eastern side of the Sta. Rita Hills and is even more Grenache-dominated, checking in at close to 84% Grenache with 9% Syrah, 6% Petite Sirah, and the rest Viognier. Aged a whopping 38 months in 52% new barrels, it has an insane bouquet of black raspberries, herbes de Provence, violets, mulled cherries, sandalwood, and new leather. As complex and nuanced as they come, this full-bodied beauty has awesome purity of fruit, a layered, balanced mouthfeel, sweet, fine-grained tannins, and a great, great finish. It's one of those wines that makes you run out of adjectives. One of the finest examples of Grenache to pass my lips, give it 2-3 years and enjoy over the following two decades." (08/2022)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Morlet "Joli Coeur" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ((97-99RP), 97JD, 96VN). Wine Advocate: "The Joli Coeur Pinot Noir comes from the “sweet spot” within the Coteaux Nobles vineyard in Fort Ross-Seaview AVA, planted to an eastern exposure and shallower topsoil. A barrel sample, the 2019 Pinot Noir Joli Coeur sports a medium ruby-purple color and bombastic notes of Black Forest cake, pomegranate and Morello cherries plus suggestions of fragrant earth, red roses, stewed rhubarb and dark chocolate with a touch of Provence herbs. Full-bodied, the opulently fruited palate bursts with red berry preserves and earthy layers, supported by velvety tannins and a lively backbone, finishing very long and fragrant. 430 cases are due to be made. Tobacco, leather and cigar box season a thick, viscous structure of sweet cherry and cassis that is rich and succulently rewarding. *Cellar Selection* (VB)" (11/2019)

Bid on this bottle of 1986 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (100JD, 100JS, 100RP, 99VN, 99WS, 98JA). Wine Advocate: "The 1986 Mouton-Rothschild is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot that was picked from 2 October until 16 October. Winemaker Philippe Dhalluin, who was not working at the property back then, told me that the pH was fairly low at 3.54 when it is usually around 3.75, due to the natural tartaric acid in the vines. It has a powerful and intense bouquet as always: exemplary graphite and cedar scents, a touch of black pepper and incense. (NM)" (12/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97JA, 96WS, 94DC, 93RP). Jane Anson: "Velvety ruby red, gorgeous balance, love how confident this is, with depth and class and utterly moreish. One of my favourites in the lineup, showing so much better than the last time I tasted it, and it still has a way to go in front of it. Clear spice, plump blackberry, loganberry and red cherry fruits, liqourice, cocoa bean, espresso, capturing a purity of fruit expression yet creamy in texture. 30 days skin contact." (06/2022)
