Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((97-100RP), 99JS, 98VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Chardonnay Lauren Estate (a barrel sample) was fermented and aged in 100% new French oak. Unlike the other 2019 Aubert Chardonnays, this one needs a little swirling and coaxing to reveal the youthfully mute nuances of sea spray, crushed cashews, beeswax and allspice over a core of fresh pineapple, passion fruit, lemon meringue pie and toast. The full-bodied palate delivers the most gorgeous silken texture with tons of opulent spice-laced tropical fruit flavors and a refreshing line, finishing with incredible length and energy. Singularly stunning. (LPB)" (01/2021)
Current Bid: $390.00

Bid on this magnum of 2014 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 8" Central Coast Red Blend (1.5L) (100JD, 98RP, 97VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "I rated the 2014 No 8 Cumulus Vineyard 99 points last year but found this bottle to be literally as good as it gets. Made from 38% Syrah, 33% Grenache, 16% Touriga Nacional, and the balance Mourvèdre and Petite Sirah, fermented with 43% whole clusters and aged in close to equal parts new and used French oak, it offers a heavenly bouquet of black raspberries, white chocolate, exotic spices, and graphite. This flows to a full-bodied wine that has off-the-charts purity and elegance, a deep, layered, multi-dimensional texture, not a hard edge to be found, and a finish that won’t quit. The 2014s are upfront and approachable (there’s plenty of similarities to the 2016s) yet this beauty is going to cruise in the cellar on its purity, depth, and balance. It’s a true 'Wow' wine!" (10/2018)
Current Bid: $355.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Vietti "Ravera" Barolo (100VN, 96RP, 95KO, 95WS). Vinous: "The 2010 Barolo Ravera is one of the greatest wines I have ever tasted from Vietti. Stunning. It's as simple as that Freshly cut flowers, mint, spices, crushed rocks and pine jump from the glass in a vivid, crystalline wine endowed with captivating purity, clarity and finesse. The 2010 takes hold of the palate and never lets up, gaining body, breadth and volume over time. A breathtaking, perfumed finish rounds out the finish. The Ravera represents a bit of a stylistic departure for Vietti and a return to a more traditional style of winemaking. The 2010 was done entirely in cask, with minimal racking. In its early years, it was virtually impossible to taste as the reductive winemaking style gave a wine with closed aromatics and searing tannin. (AG)" (01/2014)
Current Bid: $518.00

Kosta Browne, known for their esteemed California Pinot Noir, has expanded their winemaking expertise to France, producing wines that capture the essence of French terroir with New World precision. Current Bid: $106.24

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2021 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100JD, 98RP, 98VN, 97WS) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "Moving to the Grand Vin 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, red wine simply doesn't get any better, and I never cease to be amazed at what winemaker Celia Welch accomplishes with this incredible terroir. Deep ruby/plum-hued, with a kaleidoscope-like array of cr me de cassis, jammy blackberries, spicy oak, graphite, and smoked tobacco, with a kiss of background chocolaty nuances, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a multi-dimensional, layered mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and a flawlessly layered, concentrated, balanced profile that has to be tasted to be believed. Given its wealth of fruit and texture, as well as purity and balance, it already offers pleasure, yet smart money will give bottles 4-6 years in the cellar, count themselves lucky, and enjoy bottles over the following two decades." (12/2023)
Current Bid: $2,001.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Claret (94RP, 94VN, 92JD, 91WS). Vinous: "The 2015 Claret Reserve is a powerful, full-throttle wine. Iron, smoke, cedar, tobacco, mocha, espresso and red cherry jam infuse this succulent, dramatic Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Pride. The Claret is unquestionably ripe, like all of the 2015s, but it also has the frame and breadth to hold all of that richness. A classic Pride wine, the 2015 Claret will drink well now and for another 10-15 years. (AG)" (12/2018)
Current Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Realm "The Moonracer" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 98WE, 97DC, 97VN, 96JD, 96RP). Wine Enthusiast: "This is the producer's signature estate wine from Stags Leap District fruit, blending Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. From volcanic soils, it shows an earthy sensibility that's tough to shake, a lingering thread of black cherry and berry that's met halfway by sweet tobacco, crème brûlée richness and a soft undercurrent of tamed tannins. (VB)" (08/2019)
Current Bid: $575.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Hourglass "Blueline" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90WS). Wine Spectator: "Smooth-textured, with complex black cherry, plum, anise and savory herb touches, this full-bodied effort is elegant and stylish, gaining depth and complexity on the finish, (JL)" (02/2011)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Kapcsandy "Rapszodia - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96JS, 95VN). Wine Advocate: "A great effort and a showcase for Cabernet Franc is the 2012 Rapszodia. This is a blend of 90% Cabernet Franc from the heavy clay soils of their vineyard blended with 10% Merlot aged in 100% new French oak for 20 months and bottled without filtration. A stunning nose of acacia flowers, blueberry liqueur and blackberry is followed by a medium to full-bodied wine that’s amazingly intense, rich and concentrated, but surprisingly light on its feet weight-wise. The wine is full-bodied, but stunningly ethereal and sublime. This is a stunner, and a great example of what Cabernet Franc can do from a terrific terroir, great winemaking and élevage. Sadly, only 175 cases were produced. (RP)" (10/2015)
Current Bid: $640.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 2007 Robert Foley Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) in original wood. Robert Foley's Howell Mountain Cabernet is an extremely limited bottling that is only sold through a lottery system to mailing list customers. Robert Foley produced an outstanding lineup in 2007 (the Claret scored 98 points from Robert Parker), but this Cabernet was so limited that it was not submitted for professional review.
Current Bid: $350.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Cobb "Doc's Ranch Vineyard - Pommard & 114 Selection" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96RP, 95VN, 92DC). Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Pinot Noir Doc's Ranch Pommard & 114 Selection has a pale ruby color and alluring aromas of raspberries, blueberries, mushrooms and dried blue flowers. The youthful delicacy on the nose is foiled by intense, juicy flavors on the palate, which offers silty tannins and exceptional length. This 2018 offers upfront pleasure but will age gracefully in the cellar if you enjoy a Pinot Noir with some bottle age. (EB)" (09/2021)
Current Bid: $121.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Dana Estates "Hershey Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 98RP, 98VN, 97IWR, (93-96ST)). Vinous: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Hershey Vineyard has developed into a round, sumptuous Howell Mountain wine with the soft contours and exceptional overall balance. Iron, sweet red cherry, plum, smoke and licorice meld together in an open-knit yet structured Cabernet Sauvignon with tons of sheer appeal. The exotic, savory/mineral bouquet is pure Howell, but there is also a softness to the 2012 that makes it incredibly appealing, even today. A final kick of Howell Mountain tannin lingers on the close. As always, the Hershey is the most vivid and structured of the Dana Cabernets. (AG)" (10/2015)
Current Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Lazy Susan Ranch (The Vineyardist) Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Lazy Susan Ranch, also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon coming from clones 33 and 169 and slightly higher yields of 1.5 tons of fruit per acre, is an even smaller cuvée of 145 cases. The wine emerges from a different parcel of red Aiken iron-rich soils, as opposed to the volcanic tufa and fractured bedrock of its sibling. This wine offers loads of cedar wood, cr?me de cassis, licorice and forest floor in a full-bodied, opulent style. The fruit is beautifully pure, the oak well-integrated, and the wine gorgeous. It’s top, top-flight, clearly world-class and should drink well for 20-25 years." (10/2015)
Current Bid: $325.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Tor Kenward "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98IWR, 98JD, 98JS, 97RP, 94VN). James Suckling: "Lots of blue fruit here with raspberries and blackcurrants. Aromatic. Full-bodied, tight and focused with refined tannins that melt into the wine. Finely textured and racy at the finish. " (10/2019)
Current Bid: $390.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Colgin "Tychson Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 96VN, 95WS). Vinous: "Bright, dark red. Lovely complex, subtle perfume of black raspberry, mulberry, currant, nutty oak and sexy brown spices. Wonderfully pliant and fresh in the mouth, showing some very ripe qualities but also outstanding detail and finesse to its flavors of black raspberry and deep wet-stone minerality. Offers compelling sweetness while retaining a firm shape, finishing long and aromatic, with very suave, harmonious tannins. I found this wine a bit liqueur-like upon release but today it's a knockout. (ST)" (06/2015)
Current Bid: $775.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2013 Linne Calodo "Martyr" Paso Robles Mourvedre (95RP, 94VN) and 1-bottle of 2019 Linne Calodo "Martyr" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L). Of the 2013 Linne Calodo "Martyr" Paso Robles Mourvedre , Wine Advocate writes: "Probably my favorite in the lineup (although there are certainly no dogs here), the 2013 Martyr is a Mourvedre-dominated cuvee that incorporates 15% Syrah, 5% Tannat and a tiny splash of Cinsault. While you don't see too many Mourvedre-dominated wines, I think the future is certainly bright for this variety in Paso Robles and its potential is just now starting to be explored. Black fruits, licorice, charcoal, smoked meats and hints of chocolate all emerge from this big, rich, textured and full-bodied beauty that has tons of richness, a stacked mid-palate and a great finish. It will evolve nicely for 10-15 years. (JD)" (08/2016)
Current Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Cakebread "Dancing Bear Ranch" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 95RP, 93VN, 93W&S). Jeb Dunnuck: "The top Cabernet is the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Dancing Bear Ranch, which comes all from the Howell Mountain AVA. It's another inky colored beauty boasting a terrific perfume of black and blue fruits, ground herbs, spice box, graphite, and forest floor. With brilliant minerality on the palate as well as full-bodied richness and an expansive, opulent texture, it has sweet tannins and is approachable today, yet will benefit from short-term cellaring and cruise for 25-30 years. It's one of the few 2017s to come close to its 2016 counterpart. Bravo!" (01/2020)
Current Bid: $510.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2015 Tensley "Turner" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah.
Current Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Corison "Kronos" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92ST, 91JS, 90WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Kronos Vineyard is made in a richer, riper style that shows more inner perfume and mid-palate expressiveness than the straight Cabernet Sauvignon. Blackberries, flowers, spices and licorice are some of the notes that wrap around the sensual, inviting finish. The 2008 Kronos shows lovely delineation and pure, understated class. Sweet red cherries, kirsch and flowers add lift on the close. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2023. I was quite taken with the two Cabernets I tasted from Cathy Corison. These aren’t the biggest or most obvious wines being made in the valley, but readers who are willing to spend some time getting to know these refined Cabernets will be amply rewarded. (AG)" (12/2011)
Current Bid: $261.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Inglenook "Cask" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon in original wood. In 1879, Finnish explorer and adventurer Gustave Niebaum searched the Napa Valley with the goal of establishing a wine estate to rival the finest châteaux of France. For decades his wines won acclaim and remain some of the most admired in American wine history's classic period. By the mid-1960s, his property was divided and estate wine production ceased. A decade later, Francis Ford Coppola purchased 1, 500 acres of this historic property and revived Captain Niebaum's winemaking tradition. In 1995, Niebaum-Coppola acquired the remainder of the property and restored the Inglenook Estate to its original dimensions.

Current Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Aubert "Ritchie Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (97RP, 96VN, 92WS). Wine Advocate: "The old vines certainly show well in the 2014 Chardonnay Ritchie, with an almost Alsatian-like petrol nose that is starting to come on. This wine that is full-bodied, with incredible ripeness, purity and overall equilibrium, offers up plenty of tropical fruit and citrus, white peach and pineapple. … Mark Aubert continues to set the bar incredibly high for the world-class quality of his Burgundian-styled, remarkable Chardonnays, which come from relatively cool sites spread from Rutherford in Napa Valley to the far reaches of the Sonoma Coast. (RP)" (10/2016)
Current Bid: $265.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (97VN, 95RP, 94JS, 94WS). Vinous: "Bright and energetic, with soaring aromatics, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Les Pavots is utterly captivating from the first taste. A rush of blackberry, crushed rocks, graphite, rose petal, mint, lavender and blue/purplish fruit builds in the glass. All the pedigree of Knights Valley is on display. The 2017 is 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 14% Merlot and 7% Petit Verdot. It spent 18 months in Taransaud and Darnajou barrels. The team opted to bulk out 40% of the wine, so production is down sharply. The wine that was bottled, well, it's pretty special. (AG)" (04/2020)
Current Bid: $330.00

Bid on this magnum of 2018 Justin "Isosceles" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend (1.5L).
Current Bid: $102.00

Bid on this bottle of 1989 Giuseppe Rinaldi "Brunate" Barolo Riserva (96VN). Vinous: "Rinaldi’s 1989 Barolo Riserva Brunate, from my cellar, is magnificent. Sweet rose petal, savory herbs and melted road tar are some of the super-classic scents that open up in the glass. Still resonant and exquisitely layered, the 1989 will drink beautifully for many years to come. After a run of bad luck with the 1989, my most recent bottles have been deeply satisfying, as this one is. (AG)" (02/2015)
Starting Bid: $575.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (100JD, 100RP, 98JS, 97WS). Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored, the 2009 Cos d'Estournel features a myriad of wonderfully intense notes, including blackcurrant pastilles, redcurrant jelly, kirsch and blueberry compote with hints of rose hip tea, sautéed herbs, underbrush, pencil shavings and Indian spices. Full-bodied, rich and opulently fruited in the mouth, it has beautifully plush tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing very long and very spicy. (LPB)" (03/2019)
Current Bid: $700.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Realm "The Tempest" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97JS, 96DC, 96JD, 96VN, 95RP). James Suckling: "This has a beautiful sensation of perfectly ripe merlot with coffee, plum and spice aromas and flavors. Medium body, fine tannins and a fresh and bright finish. Orange-peel undertone. Cooler. Crunchy intensity." (03/2022)
Current Bid: $265.00

Bid on this bottle of 2020 Charles Lachaux Nuits-St-Georges "La Petite Charmotte" (91RP). Wine Advocate: "From a small new supplier of fruit who is working organically and adopting many of Lachaux's viticultural methods comes the 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges La Petite Charmotte, a medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated wine evocative of plums, red berries, rose petals and cherries. Powdery tannins frame its deep core of fruit. (WK)" (01/2022)
Starting Bid: $475.00

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Promontory Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JD, 100TWI, 99DC, 99JS, 98JA, 98VN, 97RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Lastly, the 2019 Promontory matches the perfect 2016 from this estate and is legendary stuff. Ripe black fruits, chocolatey, lead pencil shaving, roasted herbs, and tobacco are just some of its nuances, and this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a deep, layered, concentrated mid-palate, ultra-fine tannins, and an incredible finish. It doesn’t get any better. This has the class of a First Growth from Bordeaux paired with a Napa sense of texture and fruit." (02/2023)
Current Bid: $769.00

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot; including 3-bottles of 2012 Barnett Vineyards "Cyrus Ryan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN, 92WE) and 3-bottles of 2013 Barnett Vineyards "Cyrus Ryan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Of the 2013 Barnett Vineyards "Cyrus Ryan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Advocate writes: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Cyrus Ryan comes from a valley floor vineyard just north of St. Helena. This wine aged in 90% new oak for 20 months prior to bottling. Beautiful blueberry and blackberry fruit, licorice, chocolate and spice are all present in this wine made from fairly low yields, but is a classic valley Cabernet Sauvignon with sweet tannin, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and impressive purity and potential. Accessible now, this should evolve for another two decades." (12/2015)
Current Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Mayacamas Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (94JG, 93WS, 92VN). John Gilman: "Mayacamas has had a program of re-releasing their Cabernets after ten years and this has continued under the new ownership. Therefore, the 2003 vintage made by Bob Travers is just coming back into the market again, and it is a stellar bottle. This is a classic Mayacamas Cabernet in what was not a great vintage, but is certainly a great wine. The bouquet is blossoming and is flat out stunning, offering up a complex blend of cassis, dark berries, cigar ash, a nice touch of bell pepper, great soil tones, smoky tones and a nice touch of incipient chipotle in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and rock solid at the core, with moderate tannins, great focus and grip and a very, very long and perfectly balanced finish. (JG) 94+" (07/2018)
Current Bid: $701.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2013 Domaine Arlaud Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru "Les Millandes" ((89-92BH), (90-92RP), (89-91VN)) and 1-bottle of 2013 Domaine Arlaud Père & Fils Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru ((92-94BH), 91VN). Of the 2013 Domaine Arlaud Père & Fils Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, Burghound writes: "Reduction flattens the fruit. This also possesses a seductive mouth feel thanks to the sleek tannins underpinning the delicious and rich full-bodied flavors that display plenty of punch on the slightly more complex finish that coats the palate with sap. Though there is a slight touch of finishing rusticity this is more elegant than it usually is. (Drink starting 2025) (AM)" (01/2015)
Current Bid: $171.50

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Frederic Magnien Corton "Coeur De Fer" Grand Cru (91WS). Wine Spectator: "Extremely tight and tannic, with the sweet cherry, red currant and wild berry flavors submerged. Just when it seems impenetrable, a wave of oak spice and fruit return on the finish. The raw materials are there. Gotta have faith. Best from 2015 through 2035. (BS)" (05/2008)
Current Bid: $141.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Tor Kenward "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 98RP, 98VN, 97JS). Jeb Dunnuck: "All Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the great terroirs for Cabernet in the world, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard reveals a vivid purple hue to go with an incredible bouquet of pure crème de cassis, white flowers, lead pencil shavings, violets, orange blossom, and flowers. A rich, full-bodied, opulent wine, it's nevertheless as classy as they come, with perfect integration of its tannins, acidity, alcohol, and oak. Power married to incredible richness, enjoy bottles any time over the coming 20-25 years." (01/2021)
Current Bid: $495.00

Bid on this bottle of 2022 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (97VN). Vinous: "The 2022 Chardonnay The Judge is silky, creamy and beautifully resonant in the glass. Supple contours wrap it all together in style. Lemon peel, white flowers, graphite, mint and white pepper confer notable freshness. All the elements are so well balanced in this striking, harmonious Chardonnay. (AG)" (12/2024)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2010 Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru "Clos de la Bousse d'Or" (93ST, 92BH) and 1-bottle of 2011 La Pousse d`Or Volnay 1er Cru "Clos de la Bousse d`Or" ((91-93ST), 92BH, 92RP). Of the 2010 Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru "Clos de la Bousse d'Or", Int'l Wine Cellar writes: "Very ripe, musky aromas of red berries, cherry, spices, mocha and underbrush. Sappy and supple, with harmonious acidity giving shape to the seamless red fruit flavors. Quite suave and rich but not at all thick or heavy. Finishes with very fine tannins and superb length and lift. Owner Patrick Landanger told me that he has pulled out 40% of the old virused vines in this vineyard since the 2009 harvest, as they were yielding very little crop. (ST) 93+" (03/2013)
Current Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (94WE). Wine Enthusiast: "Baked cranberry, cherry, clove, vanilla bean and mossy earth show on the nose of this always much anticipated bottling from the region's first cult producer. The palate is tangy with rounded black-plum, star anise and black-peppercorn flavors. It's excellent now, but those tart elements will find more integration with patience. *Cellar Selection* (MK)" (10/2018)
Starting Bid: $432.00

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine Leroy Savigny-lès-Beaune "Les Narbantons" (92RP, 92WS). Wine Advocate: "Insiders have long known that one of the treasures of the Leroy portfolio is the Savigny Les Beaune-Les Narbantons. Consistently the finest wine made in that appellation, it achieves grand cru quality because of its extraordinary richness and multidimensional character. The 1990 is awesome. The forceful bouquet, which is just beginning to form, soars from the glass, offering up aromas of minerals, toasty oak, and gobs of black fruit. In the mouth, there is magnificent richness, medium to full-body, and a layered, multi-dimensional, chewy texture that goes on and on. The moderate tannins are nearly obscured by the wine's sweet concentration of fruit. (RP)" (12/1992)
Current Bid: $900.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 99JD). Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard, which will probably be released in a few months, displays great minerality, notes of honeysuckle, orange marmalade, poached pear, and white flowers as well as a touch of quince. A wine of great intensity, yet incredible ethereal elegance, this light greenish gold-colored wine is full-bodied, stunningly rich, and altogether remarkable. When you consider that they use 100% new French oak and 100% heavy toast for both their Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, it is remarkable how little oak appears in these wines. (RP)" (03/2016)
Current Bid: $450.00

Bid on this bottle of Jérôme Prévost (La Closerie) "&" Extra Brut Champagne (LC19). Jérôme Prévost has developed a cult following for his precise, site-specific Champagnes since launching his label in 1998. Rather than building upon the Champagne tradition for "house style, " Jérôme is part of Champagne's new guard pushing for site-specific wines. His portfolio is made up of single-variety, single-vineyard wines crafted with extreme care from grapes grown without chemical additives. These are pure, ethereal, and thoroughly thought-provoking wines that are getting harder to find by the year.
Current Bid: $206.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Aubert "Sugar Shack" Napa Valley Chardonnay (97RP, 95JS, 95VN). Wine Advocate: "Another stunner is the 2014 Chardonnay Sugar Shack. This wine, which was harvested August 18, 2014, was one of the earliest picks Mark Aubert had ever done. The wine offers up great fruit, which includes notes of pineapple, green apple, honeysuckle and peach marmalade. It is full-bodied with exceptional purity, lingering across the palate. (RP)" (10/2016)
Current Bid: $370.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 1992 Williams-Selyem Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (89WS), 1-bottle of 1994 Williams Selyem Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, and 2-bottles of 1995 Williams Selyem Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (90WS). Of the 1995 Williams Selyem Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Wine Spectator writes: "Ripe and flavorful, with layers of plum, cherry and wild berry; still tight, with enough tannin to merit cellaring. *Cellar Selection* (JL)" (10/1997)
Current Bid: $285.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2013 Peter Michael "La Carrière" Knights Valley Chardonnay (98RP, 96JS). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay La Carrière is unbelievable. Production was almost 900 cases less than in 2014, and you can see it in the concentration of honeysuckle, orange marmalade, white currant, white peach and mineral notes. (RP)" (12/2015)
Current Bid: $450.00

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Jean Gros Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru "Clos Des Réas" (93WS, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "Very subtle, with gamy, roasted berry characteristics that build on the palate. Finely structured and finishes long and rich. From a vineyard exclusively owned by this producer. " (12/1992)

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 1-bottle of 2021 Fingers Crossed (Faethm) California Rosé and 5-bottles of 2021 Fingers Crossed (Faethm) California White Blend ((96-98TWI), (95-97JD), (94-96RP), (93-96VN)). Of the White Blend, The Wine Independent writes: "Prancing out of the glass with a fantastically fragrant nose of grapefruit oil, lemon curd, and lime blossoms, plus hints of lemongrass, shaved ginger, and allspice, the palate is full-bodied, rich, and seductively viscous. The subtle nuttiness to the opulent apple and baking spice flavors is offset by racy acidity, finishing yeasty. Bottled in July 2023, I suggest decanting this and keeping the decanter in the fridge for a good hour or two before serving, then taking it out for about 15-20 minutes before pouring it to ensure it’s not served too cold. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2020 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (97WE, 96JS, 96VN, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Orange-cranberry and black cherry aromas are joined by a heady combination of worn saddle leather, wet cobblestones and tobacco. Can a wine smell "rugged?" Flavors of blueberries, orange zest cocoa nibs glide across a silky texture lit by electrifying acidity and plush tannins. *Editors' Choice* (MA)" (09/2023)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2020 Ultramarine "Hirsch Vineyard" Rosé Sonoma Coast Sparkling Wine. One of the most exciting wine projects in California today happens to be an upstart garagiste with an obsession for redefining sparkling wine in America. Michael Cruse operates from a small industrial park in Petaluma just off the bustling Highway 101 corridor. After a brief career in molecular and cell biology laboratories, Cruse worked his first harvest in 2006. After learning about the meticulous, labor-intensive process of producing artisanal grower Champagne, he became convinced that if winemakers applied the same approach to sparkling wine in California, the results could be game-changing. Bid on this 1 bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Robert Groffier Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (95VN, 94JM). Vinous: "Dark, bright red. Knockout nose combines sappy red and darker berries, mocha and underbrush, complemented by sexy sweet oak and lifted by a rose petal perfume. Pure crunchy cranberry and pomegranate fruit flavors convey an almost painful urgency, thanks to the energy provided by the Whole-cluster fermentation. Chewy, deep and very backward Wine, finishing With a distinctly savory character and a peppery quality from the stems. Exciting potential here. Both this Wine and the Bonnes-Mares display a distinctly redder--as opposed to black--fruit character from bottle than they did from tank in November of 2013. (ST) 95+" Review Date: 03/2015

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2001 Araujo "Altagracia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (90RP). Wine Advocate: "There are 600 cases of the deep ruby/purple-colored 2001 Altagracia, a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 8% Petit Verdot. This seductive effort reveals more fruit, charm, and lushness than the structured, more narrow 2000. (RP)" (12/2003)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (97DC, 95JS, 95VN, 94RP, 94WS). Decanter: "Still remarkably dark, intense and youthful in appearance, this Mouton shows more flamboyant characters on the nose than other vintages, with spices, cigar-box and blackcurrant leaf all to the fore. Rich, dense and fleshy palate with plenty of stuffing for further ageing. An impressive Mouton which lives up to the ‘star’ billing for the 1995 vintage with nearly all of the components in great balance. (AH)" (09/2021)
