Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2010 Pride Mountain Napa-Sonoma Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (93VN, 92WE, 91ST). Vinous: The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is brighter, fresher and more vibrant than the 2009. Black cherries, mocha, violets, licorice and graphite all jump from the glass. The 2010 is quite typical of the vintage in its verve, cut, focus and minerality. This is a terrific showing. (AG) 93+ (12/2012)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1961 Franco Fiorina Barolo (92JG). John Gilman: "I am not sure if it is the bottle or the wine, but the 1961 Franco Fiorina Barolo is just a touch more oxidative in style than the bottle of ’61 Barbaresco paired up with it, though this too is drinking very well indeed, just without quite the same vibrancy and sense of being at its apogee. The tertiary bouquet is a mix of dried cherries, orange peel, red curry, onion skin, dried roses and a complex base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very suave and resolved on the attack, with a fine core, lovely intensity of flavor, very good grip and lovely balance on the long and mature finish. This is still very tasty, but my gut instinct tells me that there are even more vibrant bottles out there." (08/2014)
Current Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 94WS, 91VN). Wine Advocate: "A wine of great intensity and richness, it displays classic notes of licorice, barbecue smoke, creme de cassis, cedarwood and forest floor. Full-bodied with sensational purity, a multidimensional mouthfeel and a long, voluptuous finish with no hard edges, it has only reached mid-adolescence, and has at least two decades of life ahead of it. (RP)" (11/2013)
Current Bid: $625.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Aubert "Sugar Shack" Napa Valley Chardonnay (100JS, (96-98RP), 96VN). James Suckling: "Such an aromatic nose of fresh hay, meyer lemon, baked green apple and dried herbs. Full-bodied with such an incredible amount of refinement. Sleek and seamless. Nuanced is an understatement, as this wine carries multitudes, quietly expressing flavors of fennel seed, dried lily, honeysuckle, toasted almond and sage. Incredible." (11/2021)
Current Bid: $190.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 2012 Gamble Family "Cairo" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (3L). Gamble Family Vineyards, founded by Tom Gamble, reflects a legacy of Napa Valley farming dating back to 1916. Tom purchased his first vineyard in 1981 and began bottling wine under the family name in 2005. The winery, built in 2012, emphasizes sustainable and regenerative farming across 175 acres in top AVAs like Oakville and Rutherford. Partnering with renowned winemaker Philippe Melka, Gamble crafts elegant, terroir-driven wines with a focus on balance, precision, and environmental stewardship.
Current Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 10'' Central Coast Red Blend (100RP, 99JD, 95VN). Wine Advocate: "The opaque purple-black colored 2016 Cumulus Vineyard No. 10 is a breathtaking WOW wine, from start to finish. It strides confidently out of the glass with bold, profound scents of preserved plums, blackberry coulis, blueberry pie and dried lavender, giving way to notes of espresso, spice cake, crushed stones, black truffles and beef drippings, plus a lifted waft of kirsch intertwined with red roses. The full-bodied palate is built like a skyscraper, featuring a solid line of firm, perfectly ripe, densely pixelated tannins and seamless freshness, taking all those complex dark fruit, earth and floral layers to a very long finish. Quite frankly, this is a monumental achievement for the Krankls—a formidable culmination creation that is simply without peers (LPB)" (08/2020)
Current Bid: $460.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Dana Estates "Helms Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 94RP, 94ST, 92WS) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Helms Vineyard is bigger, richer and deeper than the 2008 tasted alongside it. In this vintage (and 2010) the picks were smaller, and therefore many of the fermentations were done in smaller French oak barrels, which has given the wine much of its shape. Ripe dark cherries, menthol and spices wrap around the finish. The tannins are a bit firm, but the wine was also bottled just one month before I tasted it. (AG)" (12/2011)
Starting Bid: $310.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 94WS, 93ST). Wine Advocate: "The more exuberant yet still tannic, full-bodied, powerful 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard offers sweet creme de cassis, Christmas fruitcake, licorice and espresso notes in a full-bodied, deep, multilayered style with sensational ripeness and texture as well as a beautiful finish. The tannins are present, but there is enough lavish fruit to easily balance them out. While approachable, this beauty will be better in 4-5 years and should last for two decades or more. (RP)" (10/2013)
Current Bid: $145.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2019 Linne Calodo "Level Headed" Paso Robles Red Blend, 2-bottles of 2019 Linne Calodo "Cherry Red" Paso Robles Red Blend (95RP), and 1-bottle of 2020 Linne Calodo "Cherry Red" Paso Robles Red Blend. Of the 2019 Linne Calodo "Cherry Red" Paso Robles Red Blend, Wine Advocate writes: "The 2019 Cherry Red, a blend of 64% Zinfandel, 29% Syrah and 7% Mourvèdre, has a very pretty perfume of dried violet and lavender, orange peel and earth, with savory undercurrents. The medium-bodied palate is bright, fresh and grainy, with loads of spicy layers on the long finish. (EB)" (03/2022)
Current Bid: $222.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95IWR, 95W&S, 94DC, 93JG, 93ST, 92VN, 91JS, 90CG). Wine & Spirits: "For over 20 years, Cathy Corison has sourced her Napa cabernet from the same three vineyards, gravelly sites on the western benchland between Rutherford and St. Helena. This offers that area’s distinctly plush and gentle tannins in a Napa Valley cabernet of the old school. It feels formal and reserved, contrasting fresh herbal notes of pipe tobacco and cedar with classic cabernet flavors of red and black currants. Impeccably balanced, this has a scent that’s as compelling as any premier cru Pauillac, with the sunny profile of the Mayacamas benchlands. In other words, it smells pretty great, especially after it’s been open for a day. Built for the cellar, this will provide delicious drinking with roast lamb over the next ten years. " (12/2013)
Current Bid: $525.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Kapcsàndy "Estate Cuvée - State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 94JS, 94VN, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Estate Cuvée State Lane Vineyard, which is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot aged in a combination of mostly new French oak, but some Hungarian oak as well, represents 1, 190 cases, or 50% of the production from their estate vineyard. This wine shows beautiful floral notes along with hints of earth, chocolate, espresso, licorice and blackcurrants. It is elegant, medium to full-bodied, with impressive purity, texture and length. The wine shows relatively sweet tannin, but then so do most of the top 2012s. (RP)" (10/2015)
Starting Bid: $360.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Tor Kenward "Cimarossa Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS, 93JS, 93RP, 92DC). Wine Spectator: "Combines power, authority and grace, with full-throttle Cabernet flavors built around wild berry, blackberry, currant, cedar, tobacco and licorice notes. This is defined by elegance, finesse and integrated tannins." (02/2017)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 8-bottle lot of 2013 L'Aventure "Estate Cuvée" Paso Robles Red Blend (97RP). Wine Advocate: "The top wine of the estate and a blend that was the reason Stephan left Pomerol, the 2013 Estate Cuvee checks in as 43% Syrah, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Petit Verdot that comes all from his estate vineyard. It's locked and loaded with black and blue fruit, crushed rock, licorice and ground herbs, and I wrote that it seemed like it was filtered through a rocky riverbed in my notes. Serious, structured and tight, yet fabulously concentrated and pure, it needs 3-4 years of cellaring and will keep for two decades. (JD) 97+" (08/2015)
Current Bid: $560.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2019 Tensley "Turner Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (96JD, 93RP, 92VN, 92WS). Jeb Dunnuck: " I always feel as though I underrate this cuvée. It’s consistently one of the most singular, unique wines in the lineup, and it also ages beautifully. The 2019 Syrah Turner Vineyard reveals a deep purple/ruby color as well as classic Turner white pepper and cedar/sandalwood notes that are balanced by pure black raspberry and Côte Rôtie-like red fruits. Full-bodied, fresh, and focused, with terrific tannins, you can drink this stunning Syrah any time over the coming 15 years or more." (08/2021)
Current Bid: $125.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Inglenook "Rubicon" Rutherford Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 93WS, 92VN, 91RP) in original wood. Wine Spectator: "A classy effort that is rich and layered, restrained and structured, showing fine tension between the dried currant, cedar, cigar box and anise flavors and the firm, fine-grained tannins. (JL)" (04/2013)
Current Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Cakebread "Guajolote - Suscol Springs Vineyard'' Napa Valley Red Blend.
Current Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2010 Williams Selyem "Coastlands Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94ST, 93WE, 90W&S) and 2-bottles of 2011 Williams Selyem "Coastlands Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93WE, 92ST). Of the 2010 Williams Selyem "Coastlands Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Int'l Wine Cellar writes: "Dark ruby. Pungent, highly perfumed aromas of black raspberry, cherry and licorice are complicated by sexy floral and Asian spice nuances. Deeply concentrated but lively, with impressive energy to its red and dark berry compote flavors. Finishes spicy and very long, with sweet rose pastille and raspberry notes clinging tenaciously. Give this wine some air if you insist on drinking it any time soon. (ST)" (05/2012)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2019 Mayacamas Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96JD, 96TWI, 96WS, 95JS, 95W&S). Vinous: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a pretty rich, bombastic wine, especially for Mayacamas. A blast of dark fruit, incense, tobacco, licorice, spice and mocha hits the palate. I would give the 2019 at least a few years in bottle to settle down, as it is quite the powerhouse today. This is an unusually flamboyant wine with plenty of richness and a bit less in the way of subtlety. The opulence of the vintage comes through loud and clear. (AG)" (10/2022)
Current Bid: $725.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2018 Kosta Browne "Gap's Crown Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98DC, 96JS, 93WS, 92WE) and 1-bottle of 2018 Kosta Browne "Kanzler Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94WE, 92WS). Of the 2018 Kosta Browne "Gap's Crown Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Decanter writes: "A hedonistic Pinot, boasting a racy nose of deep, dark wild berries, espresso, rose petals, white pepper and elegant cedar oak. Satiny layers of juicy blackberry and black cherry rush the palate with underpinnings of orange zest, salted dark chocolate, pine and black truffle. The flavours are deep and penetrating, showing the power and concentration of this cool, wind-blown vineyard, balanced by the tension and energy of the near-perfect 2018 growing season. A sleeper wine, offering plenty of upfront pleasure, but will reward those with the patience to cellar for the next 10 to 15 years. (JC)" (08/2021)
Current Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98JA, 97VN, 96JS, 96RP, 95DC, 94WS). Jane Anson: "Captures the stunning ability of Ridge to deliver concentration and richly textured but focused blackberry, cassis and bilberry fruits. As it opens, layers of cocoa bean, slate, cigar and liqourice appear, all delivered in a savoury, restrained package laced with sage, bay leaf and white pepper. This was a structured vintage, and the tannins are very much making their presence felt, meaning the wine is just beginning to reveal its depths, but you can feel total confidence that it is going to slowly but surely join the great vintages of Ridge. Paul Draper winemaker, harvest September 21 to October 16. 98.5% American oak, 1.5% French oak barrels for ageing, all new oak. Natural yeasts, only lightly filtered at moment of bottling." (11/2022)
Current Bid: $320.00

Bid on this magnum of 2016 G.B. Burlotto "Acclivi" Barolo (1.5L) (97VN, 97WE, 96DC, 96RP, 96WS). Vinous: "The 2016 Barolo Acclivi is a deep, plush and hauntingly beautiful wine with tremendous power, dazzling intensity and remarkable richness. An ample, expansive and broad wine of striking inner perfume and sweetness, the 2016 is flat-out stunning. Crushed raspberry, mint, spice and blood orange infuse the 2016 with incredible depth and complexity before it finishes with mind-blowing intensity. All I can say is: Wow! (AG)" (02/2020)
Current Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2014 Pride Mountain "Vintner's Select" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 95RP, 93VN). Wine Advocate: "Very deep purple-black in color, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Vintner's Select reveals a nose of crème de cassis, baked plums and blueberry pie with touches of cedar chest, dark chocolate, charcuterie and Chinese five spice. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the palate with youthful black and blue fruits, framed by firm, grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long and spicy. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Current Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Barnett "Rattlesnake Hill" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (94CG, 92VN, 91DC, 91JS, 91RP, 90WE). Connoisseurs Guide: "Barnett's Rattlesnake is an imposing Cabernet sourced from the estate's finest sites and is in all ways a wine meant for lengthy cellaring, its extraordinarily deep fruit notwithstanding. It starts out with a dense, youthfully nervy, slow-to-unfold nose of black currants and stony soils, and, if showing a quick flash of extracted, mouthwatering fruit once on the palate, it toughens up as ample tannins come rushing to the fore. It does not dry out, nor does it become forbiddingly abrasive, but it is clearly not meant for drinking any time in the near future, and, while it prescribes a protracted stay in the bottle for a decade or more, it is a keeper that has the focus, the depth and the unquestioned stuffing of an eminently collectable Cabernet that is certain to handsomely reward the wait. *Two Stars*" (04/2018)
Current Bid: $310.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Aubert "UV Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (97JS, 96RP, 95VN, 95WS). James Suckling: "Blackberry and cherry, spice with hints of flowers on the nose. Full body, chewy yet polished and beautiful. This is a fantastic red with complexity and power. " (05/2017)
Starting Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2019 Alban "Patrina" Central Coast Syrah (93JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "Moving to the reds, the 2019 Patrina offers lots of smoky red and black fruits as well as violets, pepper, and graphite notes. It's forward, charming, textured, and balanced, with plenty of classic Alban character. I'd be happy to drink it." (09/2022)
Current Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 1998 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 91VN, 90WS) and 1-bottle of 1999 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WS, 95RP, 93ST, 93VN). Of the 1999 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Spectator writes: "Rich, earthy, decadent aromas are intense and enormously concentrated, with sharply focused, currant, pencil lead, mineral, sage and dusty berry flavors that offer uncommon depth and concentration. Finishes with an amazingly long and detailed aftertaste. Should be a 20-year wine, with ease. *Collectible* (JL)" (11/2002)
Current Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 1998 Mendelson Napa Valley Pinot Gris Dessert Wine (375ml) (92WS). Wine Spectator: Sweet, rich and aromatic, with complex peach, nectarine and apricot. Finishes with elegance and grace. Crisp acidity keeps the flavors jumping. (JL) (06/2000)
Starting Bid: $60.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Realm "Farella Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92WS, 91RP, 91VN). Wine Spectator: "Dense and concentrated, offering rich, vibrant dark berry fruit that shows notes of currant, blackberry and wild berry, with spicy, floral scents. Tannins clamp down on the finish. (JL)" (10/2012)
Current Bid: $95.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-Conti Grand Cru (98BH, 98RP, 98WS, 96ST). Wine Advocate: "98+ points. The 2009 Romanee-Conti is surprisingly huge and even obvious in this vintage. That isn’t a problem, just an observation. Romanee-Conti can be an elusive, intensely cerebral wine, but not in 2009. Floral notes add lift on the vivid, kaleidoscopic finish. Today the Romanee-Conti is all about breathtaking exuberance and richness. This is a breathtaking bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2029-2059. 98+ (AG)" (04/2012)
Current Bid: $13,000.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Tor Kenward "Cimarossa Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 95JS, 94VN, 93RP). James Suckling: "Aromas of black tea and black olives with blueberry and blackberry undertones. Medium-to full-bodied with a mid-palate that grows beautifully. Lovely flavors and intensity. Mineral undertone. Drink after 2021, but already delicious." (10/2019)
Current Bid: $245.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2012 Peter Michael "Au Paradis" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 96WS, 95RP) and 1-bottle of 2012 Peter Michael "Au Paradis" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 96WS, 95RP). Of the 2012 Peter Michael "Au Paradis" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, James Suckling writes: " A relatively new addition to the Peter Michael range and made from a single vineyard in the heart of the Napa Valley. Phenomenal aromas of dust, rust, blackberry, currants and dried berries. Spices such as nutmeg and cloves too. Stunning. " (07/2015)
Starting Bid: $420.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Leroy Richebourg Grand Cru. (98WA, 96DC, 95BH) Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Richebourg is breathtaking. Layers of dark fruit, spices, mint are some of the notes that flow from the glass. The Richebourg tannins are quite present, but the fruit has a nobility here that is simply unbelievable. This is a deep, penetrating wine that continues to blossom in the glass, showing tons of pedigree and class. The finish is beyond eternal. The Richebourg is a stand out in flight of extraordinary Burgundies." (AG)
Current Bid: $4,500.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2019 Stags' Leap Winery Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (94JS, 93RP, 92JD, 91WS). James Suckling: "Aromas of plum, earth and fresh mint. Full-bodied with velvety, slightly tight tannins. A solid core of red and black fruit with subtle spice character. Light-footed and pleasantly delicate. 83% cabernet sauvignon, 5% malbec, 4% petit verdot, 4% tannat and 3% merlot." (04/2022)
Current Bid: $125.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 L'Aventure "Estate Cuvée" Paso Robles Red Blend (99JD, (97-99RP), 96VN, 94JS). Wine Advocate: "52% Syrah, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Petit Verdot, the 2016 Estate Cuvee is all black cherries, crème de cassis and chocolate box on the nose with a Chinese five spice and potpourri undercurrent. The full-bodied palate is rich, opulent and firmly structured, with great purity and depth, finishing with lingering spice and dried herbs notes. (LPB) 97-99+" (09/2017)
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2018 Canon-la-Gaffelière, St-Emilion (OWC - 97VN, 96JS, (94-96WE), 96WS, 95DC, 95JD, 95RP, 95TWI) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2018 Canon La Gaffelière is bright, punchy and full of character, just as it was from barrel. Sage, blood orange, mocha and spice add pretty aromatic top notes to a core of inky red/purplish berry fruit. All the elements are so well balanced in this super-expressive Saint-Émilion. Bright floral and savory Franc notes punctuate the salivating finish, mineral-drenched finish. The 2018 needs a lot of air to open, but when it does, it is dynamite. (AG)" (03/2021)
Current Bid: $393.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2020 Justin "Platinum Reserve" Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon. Current Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Williams Selyem "Eastside Road Neighbors" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (92ST, 91WE, 90CG). Int'l Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby. Ripe cherry and black raspberry aromas are complemented by notes of anise and smoky Indian spices. Broad and concentrated, with more power than the Westside Road Neighbors bottling, offering sweet red and dark berry flavors, a velvety texture and a touch of bitter chocolate. Becomes spicier on the finish, which is firmed by fine-grained tannins. (JR)" (05/2013)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (100JS, 100RP, 100TWI, 100VN, 99JD, 98CK, 98JA, 97DC, 96WE, 96WS). Vinous: "In my last sighted review of the 2016 Cos d’Estournel, I wrote: "I suspect it will close down for a period in its youth." Perhaps it is already beginning to shut down, because though this wine was deeply impressive, it fell just a notch short of ethereal previous bottles, despite its "pixelated black fruit" on the nose and "sublime balance" on the palate. I tasted the wine twice thereafter, though this time with a 4-6 hour decant, and this revealed the Cos d'Estournel that has amazed since I first tasted it out of barrel. (NM)" (08/2020)
Current Bid: $421.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Diamond Creek "Gravelly Meadow" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90W&S). Wine & Spirits: "Warm and broad, this is a smoky young cabernet with concentrated flavors of cassis and dried herbs. The alcohol's warmth masks some of the wine's complexity just now; give it time to integrate, then match its fine herb character to roast lamb." (12/2009)
Current Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 93WS, 92VN). Wine Advocate: "Celia Welch has hit a home run again with the legendary J.J. Cohn Vineyard in Rutherford, a site that includes a block of old vines planted in 1945, which certainly must make them some of the oldest Cabernet vines in all of Napa Valley. There are 2, 000 cases of the 2014 Monsieur Etain, which is a great enough Cabernet by itself. Wonderfully pure crème de cassis notes with some white flowers, lead pencil shavings and incense are followed by a deep, full-bodied wine with silky tannins, a layered, multi-dimensional mouthfeel and a beautiful finish of 40+ seconds. This is an exquisite, dense, rich but sexy Cabernet Sauvignon. And now for the good news -- there are 2, 000 cases of it. Drink it over the next 20 or more years. (RP)" (12/2016)
Current Bid: $291.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2013 Linne Calodo Nemesis Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (93RP, 93VN). Vinous: Vivid ruby. High-pitched dark berry, floral pastille and Asian spice scents are complemented by zesty mineral and white pepper flourishes. Sappy and precise in the mouth, offering nervy black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that deepen and expand with aeration. This concentrated, lithe wine finishes with excellent clarity and smooth, slow-building tannins. (JR) (09/2015)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Luciano Sandrone "Le Vigne, Sibi et Paucis" Barolo (100RP, 98VN, 97JS, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "I absolutely adore this wine on every emotional and intellectual level. I can still taste it today, weeks after my first sampling. The Luciano Sandrone 2016 Barolo Le Vigne is a stirring and profound expression that pulls on your heartstrings. I found it to be unforgettable, quite literally, inspiring one of those celebrated "wow" moments that we wine lovers so desperately seek in bottle after bottle. Le Vigne is a clever blend of fruit from Baudana in Serralunga d'Alba (offering the power), Villero in Castiglione Falletto (shaping the precision), Vignane in Barolo (adding to the purity of the aromas) and Merli in Novello (that helps to flesh out the fruit). (ML)" (07/2020)
Current Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 97VN). Wine Advocate: "A touch closed and youthfully shy to begin, the 2015 Chardonnay Lauren Estate soon powers up to reveal intense grapefruit, citrus peel, yuzu and honeyed pear notes over suggestions of crushed stones, struck match, baking bread and lemongrass. The palate is fine, fresh, elegant and incredibly layered, with the tightly wound layers offering glimpses at incredible depth, finishing long and minerally. (LPB)" (10/2017)
Current Bid: $370.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Schrader "GIII - Beckstoffer Georges III" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 96JS, 96RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "Yields at Schrader are down a massive 50%, yet what they put in bottle is certainly brilliant. Starting with their 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard, it’s one of the plusher, more rounded, sexy wines in the lineup and is loaded with cassis and assorted blue fruits as well as notes of white flowers, violets, and tobacco. Full-bodied, concentrated, and opulent on the palate, it’s one big mouthful of pleasure bent fruit that’s hard to match in the vintage." (01/2020)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2019 Work Vineyard "Lamya's" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 91JD). Wine Advocate: "From the winery's Calistoga estate, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Lamya's is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 22 months in 70% new French oak. A mix of red and black cherries appear on the nose, joined by hints of vanilla, menthol and cedar, while the palate is medium to full-bodied and nicely structured, with firm tannins and bright acids just beginning to soften into a welcoming whole and lingering elegantly on the finish. Bid on this bottle of 2008 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (95BH, 94ST, 93RP). Burghound: "A wonderfully, even exuberantly spicy and layered nose speaks of earth, underbrush and a certain animale character on the primarily red berry fruit that moves seamlessly into cool and intensely mineral broad-scaled flavors that are powerful, vibrant and display a saline element on the stylish and classy finish that is presently quite linear and will require plenty of time to flesh out because the suggested initial drinking window is not a typo. *Don't Miss!* " (04/2010)
Current Bid: $239.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey St. Aubin 1er Cru "Chatenière" (93WS, 92JM, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "Though rich, with aromas and flavors of toast, spice, lemon and citronella, this white is also well-defined and laserlike on the extended, mineral-inflected finish. Harmonious, yet still needs a year or two to integrate fully. 25 cases imported. (BS)" (08/2018)

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Morlet "Coeur de Vallée" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96DC, 96JD, 94RP, 92VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Lots of smoky black fruits, graphite, and mineral notes emerge from the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur De Valle, which comes from a mix of To Kalon and the Coeur de Vallee Vineyard and is 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc. It shows the more plush style of To Kalon and is one of the more approachable Cabernets in the lineup, offering full-bodied richness, beautiful mid-palate depth, and a plush, sexy mouthfeel. It still has enough underlying tannins to warrant a few years of bottle age, but it’s going to drink beautifully for a solid two decades." (08/2020)
Current Bid: $92.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Willow Creek District Rhône Blend (98RP, 97WS, 96VN). Wine Advocate: "The sensationally pure and seamless 2014 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red (42% Grenache, 24% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah, 8% Counoise and 5% Roussanne) was brought up in a mix of barrels and foudre, followed by six months in concrete tanks. The wine offers incredibly rich and layered notes of black raspberries, creme de cassis, crushed flowers, melted licorice and peppery herbs in its full-bodied, impeccably balanced profile. Showing the more upfront, hedonistic style of the vintage, this full-bodied beauty still has ample underlying tannin, beautiful mid-palate depth and a killer finish that keeps you coming back for more. (JD)" (09/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Château de Vaudieu "Val de Dieu" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95JD, 93RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "As always, the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Val De Dieu has a modern vibe without losing its Southern Rhône soul. A blend of 58% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 12% Mourvèdre that’s brought up 30% new demi-muids, it offers a pure, full-bodied, perfectly ripe style that carries lots of black raspberry and cassis fruits, notes of peppery spice, some background oak, silky tannins, and a great finish. As always, the purity of fruit is top notch. Give bottles 2-3 years and enjoy over the following 15." (11/2021)
