Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 1982 Cantemerle, Haut-Médoc (90ST) and 1-bottle of 1982 Ormes De Pez, St-Estèphe. Of the 1982 Cantemerle, Haut-Médoc, Int'l Wine Cellar writes: "Bright red-ruby. Lovely, perfumed aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, mocha, cedar and tobacco. Silky-sweet and classy, with excellent vinosity and grip. This wine has put on weight since the last time I tried it a few years ago. Finishes firmly tannic and persistent. An excellent showing. (ST)" (08/2002)
Current Bid: $105.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Marie-Noëlle Ledru Grand Cru Brut Nature (94JG). John Gilman: "I had not drunk a bottle of the 2008 Brut Nature from Madame Ledru since the fall of 2017, and the passing four years have allowed it to blossom nicely and the wine is now starting to drink with a large degree of generosity to go along with its realized early promise. The cépages here is eighty-five percent pinot noir and fifteen percent chardonnay and the wine was aged six years sur latte prior to disgorgement. The 2008 Brut Nature is just starting to hit its stride today, offering up a deep and complex bouquet of apple, hints of nectarine, a beautiful base of Ambonnay minerality, dried flowers, caraway seed, patissière, just a whisper of macadamia nut and a gently smoky topnote. (JG) 94+" (09/2024)
Current Bid: $575.00

Bid on this 1-half-bottle lot of 2001 d'Yquem, Sauternes (375ml) (100JD, 100JS, 100RP, 100TWI, 100VN, 100WS, 98DC, 97JA). Vinous: Just weeks after tasting the 2001 Château d’Yquem at the estate, another bottle was served at a lunch in London and it was perfection. The aromatics are practically identical and likewise the palate, but this bottle, which had been decanted, displays a scintilla more tension, perhaps more vibrancy that so effortlessly counterbalances the richness. Irrespective of points, it is simply one of the most magnificent wines of any kind that can pass your lips. (NM) (09/2021)
Current Bid: $290.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Reynvaan "The Contender" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (94JD, 94WS, 93RP, 93VN, 92W&S, 91WE). Wine Spectator: "Impressive for the deep yet polished structure and distinctive crushed rock accents that highlight the richly layered black raspberry, licorice and smoky cracked pepper flavors. (TF)" (11/2020)
Current Bid: $43.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (99DC, 99JD, 98JA, 97RP, 97WE, 96VN, 95JS, 95WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Borderline perfection in a bottle, the 2010 Pichon-Longueville Baron (79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot) boasts a saturated purple color as well as truly extraordinary aromatics of crème de cassis, licorice, crushed rock-like minerality, graphite, and spring flowers. Possessing full-bodied richness, a huge, unctuous mid-palate, and building tannin, it shows the purity, grandeur, and precision that makes this vintage so remarkable. Hide bottles for another 4-5 years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy bottles over the following 2-3 decades. (JD) 99+" (02/2018)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 Palmer, Margaux (100JA, 100VN, 99JD, 99WE, 98JS, 98WS, 97TWI). Vinous: "The 2018 Palmer is a legend in the making. I had an inkling out of barrel, but such was its intensity that I wanted to assess it in bottle before I felt confident in saying so, because this could have gone either way. It storms from the glass with black fruit and floral scents, crushed violet and incense that knock your senses sideways while retaining brilliant delineation and focus. The palate is not quite as bold and brassy as when I tasted it from barrel, though I can vouchsafe that among over 20 vintages of Palmer that I have tasted at this stage, this is easily the most extroverted and powerful, displaying a kind of millefeuille of intense black fruit counterpoised by a razor-sharp line of acidity. (NM)" (03/2021)
Current Bid: $292.00

Bid on this 9-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 1985 Mirassou "Fifth Generation Harvest Reserve" Santa Clara Zinfandel and 8-bottles of 1985 Mirassou "Fifth Generation Harvest Reserve" Santa Clara Zinfandel. Of the 1985 Mirassou "Fifth Generation Harvest Reserve" Santa Clara Zinfandel, Founded in 1854 by Pierre Pellier, Mirassou Winery is one of California’s oldest winemaking families, with deep roots in the Santa Clara Valley. By the 1970s and 1980s, Mirassou had become a household name, pioneering cool-climate viticulture in Monterey County. Their early releases from this era showcased vibrant acidity and age-worthy structure, thanks to ocean-influenced growing conditions. The family emphasized innovation and accessibility, helping popularize varietal labeling and approachable styles.
Current Bid: $38.00

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet in color, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Kayli Morgan Vineyard jumps out of the glass with red and black cherry preserves, warm cassis and blackberry tart with hints of lilacs, rose hip tea and lamb dripping with rosemary and baking spices. Full-bodied, concentrated and wonderfully layered, it has a rock-solid frame of grainy tannins and great freshness, finishing long and mineral laced. (LPB)" (12/2018)
Current Bid: $400.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 D.R. Stephens "Moose Valley Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((91-93RP), 91VN, 91WS, 90ST). Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the Domaine. The Reignots had not been racked so had a slightly leesy nose, very good definition, floral with touches of peony and violets. Great purity once again. The palate still has some CO2, but appears to have great depth, very supple, lavished in new oak but in proportion to the level of fruit. Very well poised with lush red-berried fruit and a hint of coconut right on the finish. Superb. (NM)" (10/2009)
Current Bid: $160.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS, 94JS, 92CG). Wine Spectator: "Beautifully proportioned, rich in dark berry, dusty cedar and loamy earth, black licorice, herb, olive and tobacco notes, with all the pieces fitting together nicely, ending in a long, tapered aftertaste. (JL)" (11/2016)
Current Bid: $340.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WS, 94JS, 94RP, 93VN). Wine Spectator: "Deep, rich and expressive, with a broad range of complex flavors, extending from fleshy currant to dark berry, mineral, cedar, mocha and espresso. Full-bodied, ending with a pleasant lift to all the flavors, giving this a supple, gracious aftertaste. *Collectibles* (JL)" (11/2011)
Current Bid: $551.00

Bid on this 5-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2011 Foxen "7200 - Volpino" Santa Ynez Valley Red Blend, 1-bottle of 2012 Foxen "7200 - Range 30 West" Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara Red Blend, 1-bottle of 2013 Foxen "7200 - Range 30 West" Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara Red Blend (93WE, 91RP), 1-bottle of 2014 Foxen "7200 - Guillermo Grosso" Santa Ynez Valley Red Blend, and 1-bottle of 2015 Foxen "7200 - Pajarito" Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara Red Blend. Of the 2013 Foxen "7200 - Range 30 West" Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara Red Blend, Wine Enthusiast writes: "Cedar, smashed black plums, red and black currants and dark lilac flowers show on the elegantly layered nose of this blend of 52% Merlot and 48% Cabernet Franc. The woody notes carry to the sip, where red currant and tart black-plum skins meet with black pepper and violet flavors. (MK)" (01/2016)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Dalla Valle "Maya" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 95VN). Wine Advocate: "As stunning as this basic Cabernet Sauvignon is, the 2002 Maya, a proprietary blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Cabernet Franc, is pure perfection. It boasts an inky purple color as well as an extraordinary perfume of incense, black fruits, charcoal and forest floor. Full-bodied, with monumental intensity, a multidimensional texture/mouthfeel, and a stunning finish, this beauty reveals the brilliant quality of the Dalla Valle Cabernet Franc plantings meshed with their powerful Cabernet Sauvignon. (RP)" (06/2012)
Current Bid: $698.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Littorai "B.A. Thieriot Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96JD, 95VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of my favorites in the lineup, the 2015 Chardonnay B.A. Thieriot Vineyard is a rockstar Chardonnay that does everything right. Gorgeous white peach, citrus blossom, and hints of tart pineapple flow to a rounded, medium-bodied, incredibly pure 2015 that shows the slightly richer style of the vintage yet doesn’t lack for precision or focus." (06/2018)
Current Bid: $141.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Lillian California Cabernet Sauvignon. Lillian began when Maggie Harrison was working at Sine Qua Non and has grown ever since. From the producer: "The cabernet sauvignon hails from Cathy and Frank Dotzler's True Vineyard in Napa's Howell Mountain AVA . True Vineyard lies on a bench a few hundred feet below the summit of Howell Mountain. The site is nine acres and was literally carved out of volcanic bedrock. It presents an entirely different feeling than the endless rows of vines that carpet the valley floor and lower hillsides. The oaks and pyres of excavated rock that surround the site instill a feeling of intimacy."
Current Bid: $300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Tim Kopec Napa Valley Red Blend. Tim Kopec’s Napa Valley Red Blend combines the lush flavors of the region’s signature varietals—think rich Cabernet Sauvignon harmonizing with Merlot and other Bordeaux-style grapes—for a complex, layered structure. The wine delivers concentrated fruit notes like blackberry and plum interlaced with subtle notes of cocoa and gentle spice from careful oak aging. Under the guidance of winemaker Tim Kopec, this blend strikes an elegant balance between ripe, opulent fruit expression and a refined, poised finish.
Starting Bid: $75.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Sloan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 94WS, 93VN, 92JS). Wine Advocate: "This vineyard, high above the Rutherford AVA, on the gorgeous hillside not far from the famed restaurant and hotel Auberge du Soleil, has produced a winner in my retrospective of 2005s. This is clearly a great terroir, and that comes through in this savory, broad, expansive, pure 2005 Proprietary Red from Sloan. Offering black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, silky tannins, notes of forest floor and spice box, and loamy soil undertones, the wine is dense, full-bodied, opulent, and just entering its plateau of maturity, where it should keep for another 15-20 years. This was one of the stunners in the great line-up that I tasted of 10-year-old North Coast Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (06/2015)
Current Bid: $410.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2019 Seven Apart "Expedition" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 96DC, 94VN, 93JD, 92JS) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "This is the second vintage from Seven Apart—a blend coming from Stag's Ridge vineyard, located up on Atlas Peak, and Base Camp vineyard, located seven miles down the mountain (hence the name). The winemaker here is Andy Erickson, formerly at Screaming Eagle and Harlan Estate and currently also consulting winemaker at Dalla Valle (among others). The upper vineyard (Stag's Ridge) is planted to mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Seven miles down the road, where Soda Canyon Road meets the Silverado Trail, is the four-acre Base Camp vineyard, planted in the mid-1990s to Cabernet Sauvignon with some Merlot and Cabernet Franc. (LPB) 98+" (10/2021)
Starting Bid: $780.00

Bid on this magnum of 2016 Léoville-Las Cases, St-Julien (1.5L) (100JA, 100JD, 100JS, 100RP, 99IWR, 98VN, 98WS, 97DC, 97WE). Wine Advocate: "Very deep purple-black colored, the 2016 Léoville Las Cases (composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc) is quite closed to begin, yet with patient coaxing it unfurls beautifully to reveal suggestions of ripe blackcurrants, black raspberries, warm redcurrants and wild blueberries, followed by touches of unsmoked cigars, tilled red soil, cast iron pan, fallen leaves and lavender plus wonderfully fragrant wafts of lilacs and baking spices. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with tightly knit, very subtle layers of minerals, floral notions and black and red berries, all framed by exquisitely ripe, silt-like tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing with epic length and depth. Simply captivating even in its youth, give it at least a decade in the cellar and then enjoy it over the next 50+ years. (LPB)" (11/2018)
Current Bid: $476.00

Bid on this bottle of 2008 Dom Pérignon Brut Rosé Champagne (99JS, 97RP, 97WS, 96BH, 96VN, 95DC, 95JD). James Suckling: "This is a super Champagne with roses, strawberries and orange peel on the nose but then it's medium-boded with a raciness and beauty. Drink or hold." (07/2023)
Current Bid: $330.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2009 Casa Lapostolle "Clos Apalta" Red Blend Colchagua Valley (96WS, 95IWR, 94JS, 93WE) and 1-bottle of 2010 Casa Lapostolle "Clos Apalta" Colchagua Valley (97JS, 94WS). Of the 2010 Casa Lapostolle "Clos Apalta" Colchagua Valley, James Suckling writes: "The aromas in this wine are phenomenal with slate, blackberry, blue granite and lead pencil. Violet too. Full body, with seamless tannins and dense and reserved structure. It needs about three or four years to soften." (10/2014)
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Cade "Reserve" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 95RP, (91-94VN), 94WS, 93JS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is another beautifully polished, balanced wine. Red and black fruits, flowers, iron, and bouquet garni all define the aromatics, and it’s full-bodied, with seamless tannins, a great mid-palate, and no shortage of length on the finish. This is another remarkable wine from this team that can be drunk any time over the coming 15 years." (02/2023)
Current Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Vérité "La Joie" Sonoma County Bordeaux Blend (100DC, 100JD, 100RP). Wine Advocate: "The myth perpetrated by Old World wine proponents is that California wines don’t age. Those critics need to taste Verité, because these wines are aging far slower than I imagined. The 2005 La Joie (67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec) tips the scales at 14.7% alcohol. It received the same 18 months in 100% new oak. It is interesting that Pierre Seillan said that he thought the high-elevation vineyards of Sonoma that go into Verité (self-serving, of course) are his greatest sites in the world for Bordeaux varietals. But remember – he’s from Bordeaux! This multidimensional wine, which enjoyed a 4-5 day cool, pre-fermentation maceration, has a provocative bouquet of blackberry, cassis, new saddle leather, Christmas fruitcake, graphite and high-quality unsmoked cigar tobacco. (RP)" (06/2015)
Current Bid: $472.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2010 Quintessa Rutherford Bordeaux Blend (95CG, 94DC, 94JS, 94RP, 93VN, 93W&S, 92WS), 1-bottle of 2016 Quintessa Rutherford Bordeaux Blend (98DC, 98JS, 97IWR, 96JA, 96JD, 95RP), and 1-bottle of 2018 Quintessa Rutherford Bordeaux Blend (99JS, 98WE, 96DC, 96JA, 96JD, 94RP, 93VN, 93WS). Of the 2018 Quintessa Rutherford Bordeaux Blend, James Suckling writes: "This is beautifully polished with firm, dusty tannins to the blue fruit, as well as chocolate and cedar character. Some much earthier character, too, from mushrooms to bark. Forest flowers. Perfumed. It’s full-bodied with round tannins and a soft, creamy finish. Some iron and iodine to this. So attractive at the finish. From biodynamically grown grapes." (01/2021)
Current Bid: $435.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Quinta do Vale Meâo Douro (96WS, 95RP). Wine Spectator: "A powerful yet elegant red, offering a finely crafted array of steeped cherry, ripe raspberry and baking spice flavors, interwoven with violet, toast and schistlike minerality. Sinewy tannins and tangy acidity offer a powerful and refined structure, along with herb and smoky details on the seamless finish. Should age nicely. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz. Best from 2022 through 2032. 2, 400 cases made, 200 cases imported. (GS)" (05/2000)
Current Bid: $215.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 98JS, 97IWR, 97RP, 97VN, 96DC) in original wood. James Suckling: "Purity and brilliance on the nose with so much currant and flower character. Roses, currant bush and fresh leaves, too. Brightness is the word that comes to mind. Full-bodied and broad-shouldered. Juicy and so gorgeous now. Balance is so wonderful here. All about harmonious fruit and tannin balance. " (12/2018)
Current Bid: $1,740.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Dancing Hares Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (90JS). James Suckling: "A full-bodied red with dark-berry and chocolate character, as well as mahogany. Full body. Chewy tannins. Flavorful finish. Pretty high-octane, but interesting all the same. Mostly cabernet sauvignon with a good dose of petit verdot and merlot. Drink or hold." (02/2020)
Starting Bid: $450.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2014 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 95RP, 95VN, 92CG, 91WS) and 1-bottle of 2016 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 98RP, 96VN). Of the 2016 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Advocate writes: "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is made up of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot aged in roughly 50% new oak. Grapes come from own-rooted vines planted in 1982 on AXR rootstock—the roots are very deep and so not affected by phylloxera; 67% of the fruit came from Napa County and 33% from Sonoma County.(LPB)" (09/2019)
Current Bid: $200.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Cappellano "Otin Fiorin - Piè Rupestris" Barolo. Vinous: "One of the wines of the night, the 2008 Barolo Otin Fiorin Piè Rupestris-Nebioli is dazzling. All of the best qualities of this great Barolo vintage come through in the Barolo Rupestris. A wine of precision and crystalline, weightless beauty, the 2008 will leave readers weak at the knees. It is a wine to own, cellar and savor for the next thirty years. The translucency and vibrancy of the fruit is pure 2008. (AG)" (12/2017)
Current Bid: $400.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (100JA, 100JS, 99RP, 99VN, 99WE, 98TWI, 98WS, 97JD). James Suckling: "Exquisite purity of blackcurrants, raspberries and some citrus. The aromas flow from the glass. Full-bodied with seamless tannins that coat the palate and then fall into the center, to deliver a thoroughly refined and harmonious young red. Endless finish. 86% cabernet sauvignon. This is the new 1959, one of the legendary vintages of Mouton." (01/2021)
Current Bid: $970.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru (98DC, 97JS, 96WS, 95BH, 95JM, 95RP, 94VN). Decanter: "This definitely represents a new beginning for the Clos des Lambrays, beginning with a dizzying array of aromas that range from high-toned red fruits to ripe, plummy black fruit, all touched with spice, and a suggestion of wild herbs and fresh flowers. After blending there was an average of 80% whole cluster fermentation. The texture on the palate is concentrated but not heavy, and there is a charming, silky aspect to it so, despite the tannin and density, the overall impression is one of finesse and elegance. (CC)" (10/2020)
Current Bid: $985.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2018 Edict "Reserve" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and 1-bottle of 2021 Kosich Family Vineyards Pinot Noir Estate.
Starting Bid: $55.00

Bid on this 5-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of NV Erikson & Caradin "Raptor & Crimson" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 2-bottles of 2014 Cobblestone "Reserve" Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1-bottle of 2015 Eco Terreno "Reserve - Lyon Vineyard" Old Vine Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Of the 2014 Cobblestone "Reserve" Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon, Atlas Peak AVA crowns Napa’s Vaca Mountains at 2, 663?ft (811?m), with every vineyard nestled in the Foss River valley where volcanic, porous soils and pronounced day-night temperature swings produce low-yield, high-balance fruit. The elevation—more than ten times that of the Napa floor—lends Cabernet Sauvignon a finer, Old-World–leaning elegance, while Chardonnay quietly shines among the whites. Overlooked by few but prized for its cooler-climate finesse, Atlas Peak stands apart from the sun-baked valley below.
Starting Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Boars' View (Schrader) "The Coast" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (95JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "I can't decide if I like the 2018 or the 2016 more, but both are brilliant wines. The 2018 Chardonnay The Coast has a slightly fresher, more vibrant style while still being packed with ripe peach, apricot, honeysuckle, and brioche aromas and flavors. Despite being brought up in new barrels, it's soaked up the élevage beautifully and is balanced and full-bodied, with terrific freshness and a big finish. It should drink well a decade or more." (05/2020)
Current Bid: $345.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((96-98RP), 97JS, 96VN, 96WS). Wine Advocate: "A barrel sample, the 2019 Chardonnay UV-SL opens with compelling floral notes—honeysuckle and lime blossoms—over a core of red apples, green guava and honeydew melon with underlying suggestions of baking bread, allspice and marzipan. The full-bodied palate has a pleasant hint of phenolic grip to the texture with seamless acidity supporting the densely laden apple and tropical fruit flavors, finishing long and yeasty/toasty. (LPB)" (01/2021)

Made from 100% very old vine Grenache and aged in tank, it offers a sensational bouquet of spring flowers, peach pit, black raspberries, violets and mint. Full-bodied, unctuous and layered, with an enormous mid-palate, it has silky tannin, incredible depth and a great, great finish. This beauty just glides across the palate and has another decade or more of prime drinking. (JD)" (02/2017)
Current Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98JD, 98RP, 97JS, 95VN, 94DC, 94WE). Wine Advocate: "A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot from 21 different lots from 11 different vineyards, the 2016 The Bard is very deep purple-black in color and sashays out of the glass with strikingly beautiful violets, warm cassis, star anise and chocolate mint notes with hints of wood smoke, tobacco and kirsch, with blackberry compote at the core. Full, muscular and built like a brick house with layer upon layer of black, blue and red fruits, it finishes very long and savory. (LPB)" (10/2018)

Of the 2021 Saxum "4hearts Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "The 2021 Four Hearts Vineyard is another flat-out awesome 2021 that readers will love. Based on 46% Petite Sirah, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Zinfandel, it sports a saturated purple hue to go with exotic notes of cassis, green tobacco, sandalwood, baking spices, and incense. The wine exhibits extreme richness of the fruit, with all its sweet blackberry flavors. It also has underlying firm structure, density and solid tannins. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Horsepower "The Tribe Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (97JD, 96JS, 96RP, 94VN, 94WE, 93WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Beautiful notes of red and black raspberries, tobacco, plum sauce, loamy earth, and loads of floral notes emerge from the 2017 Syrah The Tribe Vineyard, another tight, closed wine that’s going to benefit from bottle age. Medium to full-bodied, with notable freshness as well as plenty of underlying structure, it reminds me of Cote Rotie from the Cote Blonde lieu-dit with its incredible floral character as well as its seamless texture." (04/2020)
Current Bid: $165.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2017 Ashes & Diamonds "Red Hen Vineyard" Oak Knoll Cabernet Sauvignon (94W&S, (91-93VN)). Wine & Spirits: "Diana Snowden Seysses makes this wine from a vineyard in the benchlands of the Mayacamas, where the gravelly loam soil retains enough moisture that the vines rarely need to be irrigated. In 2017, the Red Hen Vineyard was owned by the Araujos and farmed by Steve Matthiasson, both of whom were working toward organic certification (now it is owned by Phelps). The quiet grace of this wine makes a strong case for a prime site that warrants careful farming. The voice of the site comes through in woodland scents of purple flowers, cool herbs and a vibrant intensity without weight. It’s ripe rather than fruity, powered by earthy tension, with longevity to its flavors that leaves a lovely, delicious memory after each sip."

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne (98DC, 98JG, 97JD, 97JS, 97VN, 96RP, 96WS). Decanter: "What a magnificent bouquet for this Dom Pérignon 2012! Pastry, a hint of smoke and autolytic notes provide a compelling counterpart to eager yet elegant aromas of citrus (lime, tangerine and kumquat) joined by those of fresh fruit, herbs, liquorice, and menthol. There is even a refreshing note of ivy. The palate is tense, vibrant, and very fresh despite its impressive density, which meets its match with an unending finish. This 2012 incarnates the very essence of Dom Pérignon with such a concentrated degree of intensity, along with a capacity for ageing, that it is surely destined for a second life in a P2 edition. Bid on this bottle of 2019 Lafleur, Pomerol (100DC, 100JD, 100JS, 100RP, 99JA, 99VN, 98TWI). Wine Advocate: "The 2019 Lafleur is an utterly profound young wine that unwinds in the glass with aromas of rose petals, raspberries and sweet spices mingled with notions of blood orange, violets and fresh tobacco that are hauntingly reminiscent of this estate's great 1982. Full-bodied, deep and seamless, it's layered and multidimensional, with a concentrated core of vibrant fruit, lively acids and ripe, powdery tannins, concluding with a long, searingly intense finish. This magical Lafleur is unquestionably one of the wines of the vintage. (WK)" (04/2022)

Jeb Dunnuck: "Another absolute legend in the vintage is the 2005 Château Pape Clément, which is just now starting to hit prime time. Based on 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, it has a deep, powerful, incredibly seductive style to go with beautiful darker fruits, scorched earth, smoke, and chocolatey nuances. With velvety tannins, a flawless, full-bodied, seamless mouthfeel, blockbuster length, it should blow you away any time over the coming two decades." (04/2024)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Montrose, St-Estèphe (100JD, 100RP, 100TWI, 99JA, 98JS, 98VN, 97ST, 97WS, 96DC, 96WE). Wine Advocate: "Harvested between September 17 and October 5, this wine seems always open for business, so to speak, much like the great 1982s. The summer of 2009 was very hot and dry, which got the harvest off to a reasonably early start. The blend was 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Jean Bernard Delmas’ goal was to find perfect equilibrium between freshness and concentration, given its incredible opulence and the voluptuous character this vintage offered. That’s what this wine has in abundance. With an astounding dense purple color, the wine has velvety, sweet tannins, and an extremely open-knit and opulent blueberry, blackberry and creme de cassis nose. (RP)" (08/2014)
