Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 G.B. Burlotto Barolo (98KO, 94DC, 94RP, 94VN, 94WS, 93JG). Kerin O'Keefe: "Another fragrant, drop-dead gorgeous wine from this fantastic estate, this opens with enticing scents of wild rose, red berry, baking spice and a whiff of smoke. Showing the hallmark finesse of Verduno, the smooth, delicious palate features juicy Marasca cherry, raspberry compote, licorice and flinty mineral framed in taut, refined tannins. Bright acidity keeps it youthfully tense and impeccably balanced. " (04/2020)
Current Bid: $265.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1994 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 93VN, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "The 1994 boasts an inky/purple color along with a glorious nose of black raspberries, blackberries and black currants that is still somewhat primary despite nearly 18 years in bottle. The Phelps team kept this cuvee in 100% new French oak for 28 months. Its magnificent structure, intensity and purity of fruit, ripeness, balance combined with authoritative power and the magnetic appeal of this full-bodied, Bordeaux-styled wine are extraordinary. This amazing effort is just coming into its best years, and should drink well for at least another 15-20 years. (RP)" (11/2013)
Current Bid: $490.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2021 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 98JS, 98VN). Wine Advocate: "Planted on the site of a former orchard in 1999–2000, the 2021 Chardonnay Lauren Estate includes four different selections of Chardonnay (Hyde Old Wente, Montrachet, Mount Eden and Hudson), all barrel-fermented and aged in 80% new French oak. Scents of crushed stone, white peaches, ripe pineapples and fresh lime all appear on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is plush and opulent, concentrated yet incredibly long, vibrant and mouthwatering on the finish. This is really special, a true "wow" wine that—at least for this taster—sets a new standard for how good California Chardonnay can be. (JC)" (07/2024)
Current Bid: $460.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot in original wood; including 3-bottles of 2021 Next Of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard #15" Central Coast Red Blend (100JD, 99VN, 93RP) and 1-bottle of 2021 Next Of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Número Siete" Central Coast Touriga Nacional (98VN, 94RP). Of the 2021 Next Of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard #15" Central Coast Red Blend, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Red and blue fruits, ground pepper, sandalwood, new leather, and who knows what else emerges from 2021 No 15 Cumulus Vineyard, another absolutely sensational effort from this genius of a winemaker. Based on 40% Grenache, 34% Syrah, 22% Petite Sirah, and the balance white varieties, it's full-bodied, has a deep, layered mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and not a hard edge to be found. " (08/2024)
Current Bid: $749.00

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2018 Pride Mountain Napa-Sonoma Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (92VN, 91JD). Vinous: The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is packed with blackberry jam, chocolate, new leather, spice and sweet French oak. This plush, exuberant Cabernet Sauvignon is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Today it is engaging and delicious. (AG) (01/2022)
Current Bid: $275.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2022 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 96VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2022 Scarecrow is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the J.J. Cohn vineyard, nestled up against the lower slopes of the Mayacamas. Bottled in July 2024, it features mixed red and black cherries on the nose, plus hints of cassis and pencil shavings. In the mouth, it's full-bodied and silky, the wood bringing structure—and maybe even a bit of freshness—to the wine this year, prolonging the finish and helping to shape the palate into a more linear shape. Not quite up to the lofty standards of the 2019 or 2021 vintages, it's still a stunning Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that should evolve nicely for two decades. (JC)" (02/2025)
Current Bid: $1,475.00

Bid on this bottle of 2020 Kosta Browne "Keefer Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (94JS, 93JD). James Suckling: "This has some terra-cotta and wrought-iron character to the dried strawberries and cherries. It’s full and clear, with firm tannins and orange peel and ash. Dark earth, too. Drink or hold." (09/2022)
Current Bid: $65.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2022 Realm "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92VN). Vinous: "The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard is supple and juicy, qualities that will be best appreciated on the early side. It offers tons of forward appeal, if not quite the dimension, power of intensity of the best years. There's no way to get past the challenges of the brutal heat here. (AG)" (12/2024)
Current Bid: $550.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2020 Angélus, St-Emilion (100TWI, 99JS, (97-99WE), 98JD, 97DC, 97JA, 97RP, 96VN). The Wine Independent: "The 2020 Angelus is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, with the tiniest splash of Petit Verdot. It has a deep garnet-purple color and needs considerable swirling and patience to release a whole array of red and black fruit scents - kirsch, raspberry coulis, blackberry preserves and mulberries - followed by hints of violets, molten licorice, tar, sassafras, and black truffles. The medium to full-bodied palate is pure energy, featuring a firm backbone of exquisitely ripe, fine-grained tannins and compelling tension to support the very tightly knit layers, finishing very long with a whole firework display of mineral and floral sparks. (LPB) " (03/2023)
Current Bid: $830.00

Bid on this 3 liter of 1980 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (3L). You can't talk about Napa Valley wine, or any California wine for that matter, without mentioning the incredible debt owed to Robert Mondavi. His passion and ingenuity are synonmous with Napa's rise. The winery's reseve collection wines are designed to be the ultimate expression of terroir, using the finest fruit from the best blocks, and carefully fermenting them to create elegant, long-lived wines. Even at 30+ years old, a well-stored bottled of Mondavi Reserve Cab can show cherry and plum fruit, along with a cadre of secondary nuances.
Current Bid: $320.77

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Hourglass Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 92JS, 92WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Hourglass has a dense purple color and a sweet nose of licorice, black currants, smoke, cedar, and some high-class subtle oak in the background. The wine is full-bodied, avoids some of the harder tannins that sometimes arise in this vintage, and has a very layered, multi-dimensional mouthfeel and finish. This is a beauty that can be drunk now or cellared for 20 or more years. The well-known Bob Foley has been the consistent force behind these high-quality wines from Hourglass. Their top wine comes from a gently sloping vineyard near Napa’s Lodi Lane. (RP)" (12/2008)
Starting Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2012 Robert Foley Napa Valley Claret (96RP, 92WS). Wine Advocate: "Foley’s top wine is the inky/purple-colored 2012 Claret, a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. It ratchets up the level of concentration, offering a big, sweet bouquet of white chocolate, smoky oak, espresso beans, licorice, forest floor, blackberries and cassis. Viscous and thick with oodles of fruit and glycerin, and a long, dense, 50-second finish, this is a killer expression of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon. (RP)" (10/2014)
Current Bid: $298.98

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Dana Estates "Helms Vineyard" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99JS, 98RP, 97JD, 96VN) in original wood. James Suckling: "Sweet white chocolate with currant, plum and subtle hazelnut on the nose. Some other spices, such as nutmeg and cloves. Floral. Full-bodied with extremely fine tannins that go on and on. Beautiful center plate that is dense yet polished and fine and continues on. Exceptional. Fantastic finish. Drinkable now, but needs four or five years to show it’s true greatness." (04/2021)
Current Bid: $700.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Kapcsándy "Rapszodia - State Lane Vineyard" Yountville Cabernet Franc (98JD, 98RP, 97VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2018 Rapszodia is made from 100% Cabernet Franc. Planted in 2002, this block of vines is located right across from the Block 1 Merlot, closer to the river, composed mainly of heavy clay. The wine was aged in French oak, 86% new. Deep garnet-purple in color, it prances out of the glass with the most gorgeous perfume of redcurrant jelly, black raspberries and fresh black berries with hints of crushed rocks, tilled soil, violets and cinnamon plus a touch of garrigue. Medium to full-bodied, firm and grainy with an amazing backbone of freshness supporting all that tightly wound, multilayered fruits, it finishes with epically long mineral and floral layers. Wow-o-wow. (LPB)" (11/2020)
Starting Bid: $465.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 The Vineyardist Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is flirting with perfection already. It is 100% estate Cabernet Sauvignon from clones 7, 33 and 337, and the harvest took place in late October. The wine was aged in 100% new French oak, of which three-fourths were Darnajou barrels and 25% Taransaud. Unfortunately, only 240 cases were produced. The wine is an absolutely spectacular Diamond Mountain Cabernet. Dense purple, with notes of charcoal, burning embers, licorice, blackberry and cassis, the wine hits the palate with a cascade of gorgeously pure fruit, a full-bodied opulence, but sweet tannin appears in the finish, giving the wine grip and delineation. (RP)" (10/2015)
Current Bid: $501.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Tor Kenward "Black Magic" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100IWR, 100JD, 100RP, 100VN, 98JS). Vinous: "The 2018 Black Magic is another stunning wine in this range from Tor. Silky, seamless and exceptionally vivid, the 2018 is magnificent. Dried flowers, cherry, mint, blood orange, spice, and mocha fill out the layers. This plush, racy Cabernet is showing so well today to make me think it will be ready with relatively minimal cellaring. The 2018 is positively dazzling. Black magic is built on a core from Vine Hill Ranch, plus fruit from another very highly regarded site. (AG)" (10/2021)
Current Bid: $1,425.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100JS, 100RP, 95WS, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "There are 550 cases of the perfect 2007 Cariad (original rating was 99). One of northern California’s watershed vintages for Bordeaux varietals, according to Allison Tauziet, this wine revealed great potential from the day the first grapes were crushed. It possesses a dense purple color, massive fruit, soft but high tannin, and a structural profile somewhat similar to the 2002. There appears to be more underlying minerality in the 2007, but the sweetness of the tannin, the enormous concentration of fruit (blackberry, blueberry, cherry) intermixed with graphite, chocolate, coffee and crushed rock characteristics is striking. This is a compelling, even prodigious wine that hits all the palate’s sweet spots, possesses phenomenal upside potential, and is a modern day legend in the making. (RP)" (05/2011)
Current Bid: $995.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Cakebread Napa Valley Merlot. Founded in 1973 by Jack and Dolores Cakebread, it was expanded in 1982 through the purchase of adjacent land. Cakebread now has 15 estate vineyards, considered the optimal size, and has not grown any more since 2005. The winery produces around 175, 000 cases a year. The goal in the vineyard is to get fully ripe grapes, but with a lower value Brix to ensure a more restrained style of wine.
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Inglenook "Cask" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95W&S, 93JS, 93RP, 93VN). Wine & Spirits: "This is the wine our California editor Luke Sykora wanted to drink, and tasting it side by side with Rubicon, I had to admit that it showed beautifully. Cask is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance mostly Cabernet Franc and a little Merlot. In the past, the team at Inglenook described the difference between their two top Cabernets as Rubicon presenting the riper black fruits of Rutherford, and Cask focusing on red fruits." (04/2017)
Starting Bid: $270.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend ((96-98RP), 97JS, 95WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2012s made from Bordeaux varietals include their flagship wine, the 2012 Proprietary Red Les Pavots, a sensational blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. A prodigious effort, it rivals some of the fabulous past vintages such as 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2007. The inky/purple-colored 2012 boasts classic notes of crème de cassis, roasted coffee, vanilla bean, cedar, forest floor and blueberries. Full-bodied and complex with sweet tannin as well as hints of charcoal and camphor, this opulent, multi-leveled, Bordeaux-styled 2012 can be drunk now or cellared for 25-30+ years. (RP)" (12/2014)
Current Bid: $500.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Cavallotto "Bricco Boschis - Vigna San Giuseppe" Barolo Riserva (99WE, 98RP, 98WS, 95VN). Wine Enthusiast: "A combination of an extraordinary vintage and a fantastic producer are behind this stunning wine. It opens with aromas recalling woodland berry, pipe tobacco, forest floor, balsamic notes of camphor and new leather. Still youthfully austere, the firmly structured palate delivers ripe Morello cherry, licorice, ground clove and iron notes set against tightly knit, fine-grained tannins. Bright acidity keeps it well balanced. (KO)" (10/2022)
Current Bid: $176.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2011 Justin "Isosceles Reserve" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend (92VN, 90RP) and 1-bottle of 2019 Justin "Isosceles Reserve" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend. Of the 2011 Justin "Isosceles Reserve" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend, Vinous writes: "Opaque ruby. Intense cherry-vanilla and dark berry preserve aromas are complicated by smoky Indian spices and potpourri. Sweet blackberry and cherry compote flavors show superb palate-staining depth, picking up a floral pastille nuance with air. The broad, powerful, very long finish features round tannins and lingering smokiness. (JR)" (09/2015)
Starting Bid: $115.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Barnett Vineyards Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (93WE, 92RP, 91VN, 91WS). Wine Enthusiast: "The winery's flagship Cabernet, this offers elements of cranberry and black cherry that slide onto the palate rather than explode. Fig and plum give it a savory edge, around accents of pencil lead, mocha and clove. Rich and soft on the tongue, the wine offers plenty to enjoy now, but it will also yield intrigue over several years, through 2029. *Cellar Selection* (VB)" (06/2015)
Current Bid: $125.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Aubert "Ritchie Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96VN). Vinous: "The 2016 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard is powerful and phenolically intense. Orchard fruit, mint, white flowers and melon are pushed forward. Deep and ample on the palate, with tremendous structure, the 2016 has a lot to offer. Although very much tightly wound today, the Ritchie is one of the most promising wines in the range. (AG) 96+" (04/2018)
Current Bid: $255.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97VN). Wine Advocate: "A real tour de force once again, and their second consecutive perfect score, is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, which is 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot aged 22 months in 40% new French oak. It is a larger cuvée of 1, 416 cases versus 450 for the Reserve Claret. The Cabernet is just under 15% alcohol. A fantastic wine, with great intensity, notes of graphite, forest floor, crème de cassis, white chocolate and blackberry, the wine hits the palate with a thunderous presence, has a multi-layered, skyscraper-like palate feel, a plush, intense texture, high but well-integrated tannin and acidity, and nicely disguised oak. This is a magnificent wine, with 79% of it coming from the Sonoma side of Spring Mountain and 21% from the Napa side. (RP)" (10/2016)
Current Bid: $750.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Realm "The Moonracer" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 97JS, 97RP, 97VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Moonracer comes from south-facing blocks on the estate in Stags Leap and is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot. The tannins here are a step up, and this beauty boasts a gorgeous nose of red and black fruits, tobacco leaf, violets, and spice. It’s a more elegant, medium to full-bodied, seamless wine, accurately described as an iron fist in a velvet glove by winemaker Benoit Touquette. The balance is spot on and it has plenty of up-front appeal, yet it’s going to evolve gracefully for 20-25 years with no issues." (12/2021)
Current Bid: $625.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2010 Linne Calodo "Overthinker" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (94RP, 94ST, 93VN, 90WS), 1-bottle of 2014 Linne Calodo "Overthinker" Paso Robles Willow Creek District Rhône Blend (1.5L) (96JD, 95RP, 94VN), and 1-bottle of 2017 Linne Calodo "Overthinker" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (97VN, 96JD, 93RP). Of the 2017 Linne Calodo "Overthinker" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L), Vinous writes: "Inky ruby. Intensely perfumed black currant, boysenberry, candied violet and exotic spice aromas show outstanding clarity and take on a smoky mineral quality as the wine opens up. Stains the palate with concentrated red/blue fruit liqueur, floral pastille and spice-cake flavors that become livelier through the midpalate. Finishes extremely long and smooth, with harmonious tannins and resonating floral and spice notes. (JR)" (12/2020)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this bottle of 1986 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (100JD, 100JS, 100RP, 99VN, 99WS, 98JA). Wine Advocate: "The 1986 Mouton-Rothschild is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot that was picked from 2 October until 16 October. Winemaker Philippe Dhalluin, who was not working at the property back then, told me that the pH was fairly low at 3.54 when it is usually around 3.75, due to the natural tartaric acid in the vines. It has a powerful and intense bouquet as always: exemplary graphite and cedar scents, a touch of black pepper and incense. It seems to unfurl in the glass, like a motor revving its engine. (NM)" (12/2016)
Current Bid: $736.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 L'Aventure "Côte à Côte Estate" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (94RP, 92VN). Wine Advocate: "A blend of 40% Mourvèdre, 30% Grenache and 30% Syrah, the 2013 Côte à Côte is a classic Rhone blend from Paso that has lots of blackberry, cassis, ground pepper and damp earth aromatics, full-bodied richness and both good acidity and tannic grip. (JD)" (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 2021 Kosta Browne Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (95DC, 94WE, 93JS, 93RP). Decanter: "The 2021 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir, another in Kosta Browne's Appellation lineup, is meant to showcase the region's cool-climate viticulture. As such, it pulls from various vineyard sources across the appellation, including Mt. Carmel, Rita’s Crown, Bentrock, Radian, Sanford & Benedict, and Our Lady of Guadalupe. After ageing 15 months in over 50% new oak, this Pinot Noir is leaping from the glass, showcasing lifted, high-toned violet floral aromas mingling with woody, brown sugar spice notes, red cherry, and vanilla hints. Deep concentration marks the palate, where the mouthfeel is bright, mineral-driven, and juicy. It has ample acidity to balance its red Bing cherry and cherry liqueur flavours, lying on a bed of feathery tannins. A mix of crushed wild rosemary, thyme, and marjoram marks a long finish. (JC)" (05/2024)
Current Bid: $52.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 Mayacamas Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 96JD, 96VN, 95WS). James Suckling: "Aromas of blackcurrant, mushroom, wet earth and bark follow through to a full body, chewy tannins and a stone, berry, chili and spice aftertaste. Muscular and chunky. Very serious. Almost no new oak. This shows the Mayacamas DNA. " (01/2018)
Current Bid: $682.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2020 Charles Lachaux Côte de Nuits Villages "Aux Montagnes" (90RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2020 Côtes de Nuits-Villages Aux Montagnes is deep and concentrated, wafting from the glass with notions of dark berries, wild plums, orange rind and exotic spices. Medium to full-bodied, pure and vibrant, it's layered and multidimensional, concluding with a mineral finish. (WK)" (01/2022)
Current Bid: $560.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (96DC, 96W&S, 94JS, 93VN, 92WE, 92WS). Decanter: "Dried mulberry, brick dust and rosemary aromas intertwine with Monte Bello’s signature sweet n’ sour scent. Seamless, pure and plump on the palate, with flavours of dried blueberry, fig and dried cherry. The finish is firm and rustic, ending with notes of ash, cocoa powder and cherry skins. Still in its youth, but beginning to reveal itself. (ML)" (02/2021)
Current Bid: $280.00

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Kongsgaard Napa Valley Chardonnay (96WS, 95VN). Wine Spectator: "A stunning wine, showing both power and elegance, this has a creamy, supple texture paired with vibrant, mouthwatering acidity that turns up the intensity. Presents plump, fleshy apricot, peach cobbler and dried mango flavors complemented by notes of savory Himalayan salt and butterscotch. The long, harmonious finish features lingering accents of candied ginger peel. Drink now through 2030. (MW)" (07/2022)
Current Bid: $136.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100JD, 100RP). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard may be even better. Notes of caramelized citrus, hazelnut, apple blossom, lemon oil and orange marmalade are all present in this wine of dazzling aromatic and flavor dimension. It is full-bodied, again shows some wet pebbles (which I equate with minerality), vibrant acidity, and no real evidence of any oak. Much like the 2012, the finish goes on for 45+ seconds. This is another killer Chardonnay from Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer. (RP)" (03/2016)
Current Bid: $1,300.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2022 Tor Kenward "Black Magic" Napa Valley Red Blend (98JS, 97RP, 95TWI, 92VN). James Suckling: "Powerful, polished and impressive, showing great concentration and depth. A good portion of petit verdot adds even darker fruit to the majority of cabernet sauvignon. This offers dried blueberries, crushed blackberries, cocoa, graphite, minerals and dusky plums on muscular tannins that will carry it for decades. Full-bodied. Best after 2030. (JG)" (09/2024)
Starting Bid: $1,275.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2017 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (OWC - 98JS, 98RP, 97TWI, 96DC, 95VN, 95WE, 94JD, 94WS) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Cos d'Estournel needs a little coaxing to unfurl, revealing beautiful expressions of preserved plums, boysenberries, blackcurrant pastilles and wild blueberries with hints of Indian spices, menthol, lilacs and mossy tree bark plus a compelling suggestion of iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins and well-knit freshness supporting the tightly wound blue and black fruits layers, finishing long and fragrant. This wine will need a good 5-7 years in bottle before it begins to blossom and should go on for at least another 40 years. I expect this wine to be a blockbuster of a head-turner when I come back and taste it at 10 years of age! (LPB) 98+" (03/2020)
Starting Bid: $729.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Williams Selyem "Bucher Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (92WE, 91VN). Wine Enthusiast: "Raspberries, cherries, cola, exotic spices and sweet cedar mark the flavors of this Pinot Noir. It’s elegant in the mouth, with brisk acidity, but also a distinct earthiness. The combination gives the wine a yin-yang of weight and weightlessness. *Cellar Selection* " (02/2014)
Starting Bid: $200.00

Bid on this bottle of 1999 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Syrah (92RP, 91ST, 91WS). Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Syrah Eisele Vineyard (a blend of 94% Syrah and 6% Viognier) boasts an opaque ruby/purple color along with gorgeous, complex aromatics of melted asphalt, graphite, blackberry liqueur, coffee, and a hint of pepper. This full-bodied Syrah reveals surprising freshness, finesse, and elegance despite its size. The wine is long, rich, and French in style. Araujo's Syrah program continues to impress. Crop levels have dropped even lower, resulting in a small production (generally less than 400 cases per vintage). (RP)" (08/2002)
Starting Bid: $115.00

Bid on this bottle of 1995 Domaine Leroy Vosne-Romanée "Les Genaivrières". Wine Advocate: "Displaying a medium-to-dark ruby color and a lovely, feminine nose of sweet cherries and roses, the Vosne-Romanee Les Genevrieres (100 cases) is a well made and structured example of an early drinking (for Leroy!) Vosne. (PR)" (06/1997)
Current Bid: $1,985.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Giacomo Conterno "Cascina Francia" Barolo (98VN, 97JS, 96WS). Vinous: "The 2010 Barolo Francia is an exotic, beguiling beauty. Lavender, sage, menthol, tobacco and dried rose petals are some of the notes that open up in the glass. Constantly changing in the glass, the 2010 is utterly captivating. The combination of super-expressive aromatics, pliant fruit and pulsating tannins is something to behold. It will be many years before the 2010 is ready to deliver the goods, but it is already utterly captivating from the very first taste. Readers should note that, because of new vineyard regulations, the Cascina Francia is now known simply as Francia. In 2010, the corks had already been printed by the time that decision was made, so the corks on the 2010 read 'Cascina Francia.' (AG) 98+" (09/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Aubert "Sugar Shack" Napa Valley Chardonnay ((98-100RP), 99JD, 95VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chardonnay Sugar Shack Estate is opulent straight out of the gate, with stunning orange peel, candied ginger, nutmeg and ripe apricot with touches of cashews and croissant. The full-bodied palate explodes with expressive bread, nut, spice and stone fruit layers, marked by a lively line of acid that lifts the fruit and gives a long, gregarious finish. (LPB)" (10/2017)

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 1996 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (375ml) (95DC, 92JG, 92WS, 91RP, 91ST). Decanter: Deep plum in colour, holding its Pauillac character perfectly at 25 years old, opening up to show cedar, pencil shavings, tobacco, graphite, cassis and touches of raspberry purée. This is very much in the drinking window, with waves of camphor, charcoal, woodsmoke and tobacco adding complexity and interest. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend. (JA) (03/2021)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1994 M. Chapoutier "Le Pavillon" Ermitage (96RP). Wine Advocate: "The 1994 Le Pavilion is a blockbuster, phenomenally concentrated wine. Le Pavilion is generally among the top three or four wines of France in every vintage! The 1994's opaque purple color, and wonderfully sweet, pure nose of cassis and other black fruits intertwined with minerals, are followed by a wine of profound richness, great complexity, and full body. It is almost the essence of blackberries and cassis. There is huge tannin in this monster Hermitage, that somehow manages to keep its balance and elegance. Made from a parcel of vines (which I have walked through), some of which predate the phylloxera epidemic, the 1994 Ermitage Le Pavilion should be purchased only by those who are willing to invest 10-12 years of cellaring. It will not reach full maturity before the end of the first decade of the next century, after which it will last for 30+ years. (RP)" (01/1997)

Bid on this 3 bottle lot of 2016 Domaine Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Haut Doix" (95TA, 93VN). Tim Atkin: "Considered, at least by me, as a poor man’s Les Amoureuses, this is less intense than the latter Premier Cru but has some of its finesse and chalky freshness. Scented, elegant and vivacious, With classic summer pudding flavours, a hint of clove spice and a long, refined finish." Review Date: 01/2018

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Marchesi di Gresy "Camp Gros Martinenga" Barbaresco. Wine Advocate: "The 1995 Barbaresco Camp Gros Martinenga reveals a Burgundian nose of black cherries, flowers, spice, and subtle toasty oak. In the mouth, notes of tobacco emerge in this graceful, medium-bodied, refined, supple-textured, lush wine. (RP)" (08/1999)

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2019 Linne Calodo In My Dreams Paso Robles Red Blend (1.5L).

Bid on this bottle of 2020 Domaine du Château de Meursault Corton "Les Maréchaudes" Grand Cru ((91-94BH), 92JM). Burghound: "Here the wood and menthol characters are not subtle though neither are they invasive on the earthy aromas of black cherry liqueur and soft floral wisps. There is slightly better mid-palate density to the tautly muscular flavors that are a bit more restrained than usual on the chalky, dusty and moderately austere finale." (04/2022)
Current Bid: $105.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Bouchard Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru ((93-96BH), 96WS, (93-95RP), 95VN). Shows terrific length and overall balance, ending with an elegant feel. Best from 2022 through 2040. (BS, Web-2017)"
