Bid on this magnum of 2021 Boich "Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (99JD, 97RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "A big, ripe, opulent 2021, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard boasts a dense plum/purple hue as well as a sensational nose of black raspberries, currants, flowery incense, sweet tobacco, and underbrush. This carries to a full-bodied, deep, incredibly layered Cabernet with velvety tannins, a great mid-palate, no hard edges, and a killer finish. Drink this singular beauty over the coming two decades." (12/2023)
Current Bid: $252.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1989 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (99JS, 97RP, 96VN, 95JA, 95JG, 95WS). James Suckling: "This is glossy and sophisticated, with so much graphite, ink, pencil shavings, blackberries, blackcurrants and blackberry leaves on the nose. Classy and powerful with very sleek tannins. Dark chocolate and blackcurrants. So long and deep. Drink or hold." (01/2023)
Current Bid: $827.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2021 Screaming Eagle "The Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99DC, 98JS, 97VN) in original wood. Decanter: "In 2021, 'The Flight' presents a vibrant, drop-dead gorgeous wine in the glass, teeming with energy. From a medium-dark ruby colour fanning out like a dark ruby-hued rose to the edges, the wine is immediately enticing from the pull of the cork with beautifully perfumed rose petal florals, spicy wild fennel and mint nuanced by a spray of orange citrus peel, cedarwood and lilacs. Medium-bodied with super crunchy red fruit and focused, granular tannins. There's power and finesse driving saline-scented minerals and an incredibly long finish, which is further enhanced by more perfumed florals. It's a seamless wine that still has a bit of youthful edginess, which, in time, will gloss over with polish. (JC)" (04/2024)
Current Bid: $1,860.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2017 Schrader "RBS - Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96JS, 95RP, 95WS). James Suckling: "Lots of flowers, such as violets and lilacs on the nose, as well as blue fruit. Medium to full body and firm, silky tannins that are polished and refined. Tight and focused. Lovely finish. " (02/2020)
Current Bid: $550.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Aldo Conterno "Cicala" Barolo (96JS, 93RP, 93WE, 93WS, 91VN). James Suckling: "A chewy and rich Barolo with dried mushroom, berry and hazelnut character. Full body, round and silky tannins and a long and flavorful finish. Layered and complex. Better in 2018 but so delicious." (04/2015)
Current Bid: $142.00

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Domaine Armand Rousseau Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru ((89-91BH), (89-90JG)). Burghound: "Here the nose is more deeply pitched with earth, game, iron, leather and underbrush aromas adding nuance to the bright red berry fruit notes that continue onto the very supple, indeed almost light flavors and there is slightly more structure than can be found with the Charmes. I like the complexity and precision as well as the overall sense of harmony but this is on the lighter side compared to its usual weight." (01/2006)
Current Bid: $512.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Chaignots" (95JG, 94DC, 93RP, 93VN, 91BH). John Gilman: "Impressively fresh clear colour, with a pure, precise and very concentrated nose. Excellent wine with massive potential, bringing in just a little new oak, but so full on the palate, while balanced, as to suggest a very long future. *5 Stars*" (09/2021)
Current Bid: $256.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru ((91-94RP), 91BH). Wine Advocate: "Potentially the finest Corton-Charlemagne Louis Latour has fashioned in years, certainly since the 1995, the 2001 bursts from the glass with oak-laced spices and minerals. There is great depth and density to its layered, powerful core. Loads of minerals and gravel interplay with pears in its satin-textured, focused personality. What will determine this wine's future is the juicy lemon notes that it revealed in its exceptionally long finish. If they remain in the background my score will ultimately seem conservative. (PR)" (04/2003)
Current Bid: $130.01

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Bevan "Tin Box" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96RP). Vinous: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Tin Box emerges from a parcel of 50 year-old vines in the heart of eastern Oakville. An exotic mélange of graphite, smoke, licorice, mint and crushed rocks add nuance to a core of unctuous, inky dark red and bluish fruits. A total pleasure bomb delivers superb intensity along with explosive energy, both of which make it impossible to resist. Once again, the Tin Box is one of the highlights in this range. (AG)" (10/2015)
Current Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99JS, 98JD, 96DC, 95RP, 95VN, 93WS) in original wood. James Suckling: "Blackberries, blueberries, raspberry kir, sweet tobacco and black truffle. Full bodied with chewy tannins and superb texture and length. Extremely poised and powerful. Finishes with so much fresh leather and blueberries. Goes on for minutes. " (05/2019)
Current Bid: $340.00

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Adobe Road "Beckstoffer Georges III" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94WS, 93RP). Wine Spectator: "Tames intense tannins with an overlay of creamy, mocha-scented oak. The core is deep, rich and concentrated, featuring dark berry, currant, plum and cassis flavors. Sails along on the finish, even with the tannins. (JL)" (04/2018)
Current Bid: $101.01

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 95WS, 94JS, 94VN, 94W&S, 93CG). Wine Advocate: "One of the world’s great wines and profound expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, is the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. This wine spends more than 30 months in 100% new oak, and, year in year out, has been one of the most singular and profound examples of Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. It seems Shafer began to ratchet up performance during the 1990s, and the first decade of the 21st century has provided a treasure trove of either perfect or nearly perfect wines, including the 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007 and more recently the 2010, 2012 and, in all likelihood, the 2013. (RP)" (06/2015)
Current Bid: $235.01

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Carter "Beckstoffer To Kalon - The Three Kings" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JD, 96RP, (91-93ST), 93WS, 92VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the finest vintages for this cuvée since its release, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard has a show-stopping bouquet of black raspberries, crème de cassis, crushed flowers, and incense, with background lead pencil and tobacco. Wonderfully pure, full-bodied, deep, and layered, it holds onto a remarkable sense of freshness and purity. An absolutely brilliant wine, it can be drunk any time over the coming 15-20 years. (JD) 98+" (05/2023)
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Lewis Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WS). Wine Spectator: "Remarkably elegant and refined for a wine of this size and depth, with tiers of plum, blackberry and currant, as well as subtle touches of black licorice that remain pure and graceful on the long, lingering aftertaste. *#1 Top 100 Wines of 2016, Highly Recommended* (JL)" (02/2016)
Starting Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2017 Donnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshohle Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel(375ml) (100JS, 96JG). James Suckling: Some truths are hard to believe and this is one of them; it won’t let you go, so there's no way of denying the excellence of this filigree masterpiece. Almost endless finish that simply could not contain any more mineral freshness. From organically grown grapes. Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold. Very limited production. (09/2018)
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Paul Hobbs "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 95VN, 93JS). Vinous: "A rich, unctuous wine, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard possesses magnificent richness and depth. Today, the 2012 is quite open and opulent, in the classic style for the year. Sweet red cherry, plum, spice, mocha and new leather are all pushed forward in a sexy, voluptuous wine to drink over the next 10-15 years. This is a classic 2012 with plenty of near and medium term appeal. (AG) " (10/2015)
Current Bid: $136.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2019 Mayacamas "Top Block" Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (98VN). Vinous: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Top Block is one of the small single-block bottlings Mayacamas has begun to offer in recent years. It marries the natural opulence of the vintage with a good deal of freshness to balance things out. Bright acids and fine, pulsating tannins give the Top Block quite a bit of energy. Dark red fruit, pomegranate, mint, white pepper, dried herbs and crushed rocks lend vibrancy throughout. The 2019 is shaping up to be magnificent. I very much like the energy here. (AG)" (02/2023)
Current Bid: $760.00

Bid on this bottle of 2016 Antinori "Tignanello" Toscana (99KO, 98VN, 97JS, 97RP, 97WS, 96W&S). Kerin O'Keefe: "Underbrush, plum, blue flower, cocoa and balsamic notes are just some of the aromas you’ll find on this fragrant, savory red. Polished and delicious, it boasts an earthy finesse and is loaded with personality, doling out juicy Marasca cherry, ripe blackberry, licorice, tobacco and an appealing hint of game that imparts even more depth. Silky tannins and bright acidity keep it balanced and supremely elegant. It’s already tempting but will also age beautifully. " (12/2019)
Current Bid: $206.12

Bid on this bottle of 1947 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (99VN, 97DC, 97RP). Vinous: "The 1947 Mouton Rothschild comes like a bolt out of the blue in terms of its precision and sense of control. Having encountered both 1947s from Haut-Brion and Latour recently, there is no question that Mouton-Rothschild is the best First Growth (in all but name at the time!) since it harnesses the opulence of that hot summer with Pauillac’s reserve and blue-bloodedness. Like the 1949 Mouton, the 1947 is deep in colour with thin bricking on the rim commensurate with its age. (NM)" (06/2018)
Starting Bid: $1,645.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Valdicava "Madonna del Piano" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (95RP, 94JS, 92VN, 92WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Madonna del Piano is an expressive and articulate wine that speaks highly of Sangiovese and the Montalcino territory. The wine offers a pristine narrative of both grape and place with crystalline aromas of cherry, blackberry, spice, leather, smoke and Mediterranean herb. The bouquet peels back one delicious layer at a time. The mouthfeel is similarly successful with deep concentration and complexity. It imparts soft layers of dried fruit and velvety tannins. Endnotes of espresso bean and toasted almond add length and momentum. There's even spot of chewy sweetness that is typical of the warm 2009 vintage. (ML)" (02/2015)
Current Bid: $117.00

Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 2002 Joseph Phelps Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92CG, 92WS, 90RP, 90VN). Wine Spectator: "A rich, dense and deeply concentrated young Cabernet, with layers of currant, plum, spice, cedar and blueberry notes that are tightly focused and supported by firm, ripe tannins. Impressive also for its balance and amplitude, it should reward short- to medium-term cellaring. (JL)" (05/2005)
Current Bid: $315.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Veuve Clicquot "La Grande Dame" Brut Champagne (96DC, 95RP, 94VN, 92WE). Decanter: "Fine burnished gold, apt for a 30 year old Champagne – alive and kicking. What impresses is the fresh Chardonnay, which balances the opulence of 1990 mature Pinot opulence. A lovely interplay of those peach & quince flavours with enlivening citrus repertoire, especially citron confit; still long & vigorous. Model post-disgorgement ageing since 2003. A wine for venison and even foie gras. (ME)" (02/2020)
Current Bid: $380.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Pahlmeyer "Right Bank - Waters Ranch Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend. This very limited bottling was only sold through Pahlmeyer's mailing list. From the winery: "Inspired by the noble wines of Bordeaux’s 'Right Bank, ' this tiny-production bottling -- the first for this wine -- was crafted exclusively from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grown on the slopes of our Waters Ranch Vineyard high above the Napa Valley. Cabernet Franc’s invigorating aromas of tobacco leaf, pencil lead and rose petal lead to flavors of dark plum and bittersweet chocolate. Shaped by Merlot, the palate is opulent, rich and concentrated with fine structure and silky tannins supporting the fruit’s ample weight through the lingering finish. Magnificent now, the wine promises to develop even more grace and complexity with additional cellaring."
Current Bid: $168.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Bruno Giacosa "Asili" Barbaresco Riserva (98JG, 97VN, 95WS). John Gilman: "I would never dream of opening one of my bottles of 1996 Asili Riserva from Bruno Giacosa right now, as the wine is still a good decade or two away from really blossoming, but when a friend generously served one, I was very, very happy to check in on the wine and see how it is progressing! The bouquet has started to stir nicely and now offers up a pure and complex blend of cherries, licorice, road tar, a gorgeous base of Asili’s inimitable terroir, red curry, a touch of fennel seed and a gentle topnote of fresh oregano. On the palate the wine is very deep, full-bodied and tangy, with unmistakable profundity in its future. " (03/2017)
Current Bid: $1,050.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2022 Horsepower "High Contrast Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah. Eric Guido of Vinous writes: "This project, headed up by Vigneron Elizabeth Bourcier under the guidance of Christophe Baron, is a perfect example of the importance of place. Sourced from 18 acres of Grenache and Syrah vines planted at densities of 3ft by 3ft to 3 ½ft by 3 ½ft, each wine shows a unique stamp of terroir. The vineyards are all planted in close proximity and farmed using draft horses. Although quite stony, these parcels contain more soil and gravel than the other Cayuse vineyards, which is essential for the safety of the horses and their drivers."
Current Bid: $189.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2014 Barnett Spring Mountain District Cabernet Franc (94RP, 91DC, 91WS), 2-bottles of 2014 Barnett Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 91WS), and 1-bottle of 2014 Barnett Vineyards "Cyrus Ryan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). Of the 2014 Barnett Spring Mountain District Cabernet Franc, Wine Advocate writes: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot and Merlot. A beautiful example of Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon with its blue and black fruits (raspberries, blueberries interwoven with white flowers), this wine has an opaque purple color, a wonderful sweet kiss of delicate oak and forest floor. It is full-bodied and rich with supple tannins. (RP)" (12/2016)
Current Bid: $256.11

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Clarendon Hills "Brookman" Syrah Clarendon South Australia (96JH, 91RP). James Halliday: "Dense, inky purple-crimson, purple to the fore; hugely concentrated and complex with years, if not decades, to go before the bouquet fully opens up; the flavours of the full-bodied palate centre on blackberry, licorice, spice and a touch of tobacco; cedary new French oak and tannins are submerged in oceans of fruit. *Gold* " (07/2021)
Starting Bid: $240.00

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Giuseppe Rinaldi "Brunate - Le Coste" Barolo (95RP, 95VN, 94IWR, 93ST). Vinous: "The 2001 Barolo Brunate is in a good place today, as the bouquet is expressive and the tannins have begun to melt away. A brooding, somewhat rustic, and austere Barolo, the 2001 delivers plenty of Rinaldi character but with a bit more fruit and less severe tannins than vintages like 1999 and 1996. This is a gorgeous bottle. (AG)" (05/2017)
Current Bid: $235.00

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2016 Domaine de la Charbonnière Châteauneuf-du-Pape .

Wine Enthusiast: "From old vines planted nearly 50 years ago, this wine opens in violet and rose. On the palate are seamless layers of cranberry and currant, with an underlying strength of integrated spice, dried herb and oak. Complex and concentrated, this wine is elegantly built to age and evolve, beautifully styled throughout. *Cellar Selection, #3 Top 100 2022* (VB)" (04/2022)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2017 Failla "Cleary Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and 1-bottle of 2019 Failla "Hirsch - Old Vines" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Of the 2017 Failla "Cleary Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Failla Winery was started in 1998 by winemaker Ehren Jordan, who kicked things off with Viognier and Syrah. That same year, he planted the Estate Vineyard in Cazadero, drawn to the cool coastal climate perfect for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah. With a background in the Rhône Valley, Ehren keeps things hands-off in the cellar to let the vineyards shine. Failla now farms over 30 acres and works with top sites like Hirsch and Seven Springs.
Current Bid: $88.78

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Halleck "Estate Grown" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Producer notes from Allen Meadows for Burghound: "Ross and Jennifer Halleck moved to Sonoma County in 1991, planting their first vines in the Halleck Vineyard in 1993, with the first harvest in 1999. These were the first vineyard planting in the hills of Sebastopol, and at 900', it is one of the highest vineyards in Sonoma County. In 2005 Rick Davis has been the winemaker." (10/2022)
Current Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Kistler "Durell Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (95RP, 93VN, 91WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard has a relatively subdued/savory nose of baking bread and yeast extract over a core of grapefruit, beeswax and crushed stones. Full-bodied, there is a lot of power and layers on the palate with a wicked backbone of acid cutting through the creamy texture and loads of minerals on the finish. (LPB)" (02/2017)
Current Bid: $126.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2013 Littorai "Hirsch Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (92VN) and 1-bottle of 2014 Littorai "Cerise Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (95JS, 94RP, 94VN). Of the 2014 Littorai "Cerise Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, James Suckling writes: "Rustic and red rock sort of character with tile. Dried cherry. Medium body, fine tannins that are velvety at the same time. Lovely length and beauty. Intellectual wine." (05/2017)
Current Bid: $150.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2018 Lynmar Estate "AMDG" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (90WS). Wine Spectator: "Concentrated raspberry, dark currant and red plum flavors are supported by zesty acidity in this direct and pure-tasting style. Exhibits minerally snap, with a hint of licorice on the finish. (KM)" (10/2020)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2011 Merry Edwards "Coopersmith" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (96WE, 91CG) and 1-bottle of 2012 Merry Edwards "Coopersmith" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (93CG, 92WE, 91BH). Of the 2011 Merry Edwards "Coopersmith" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Wine Enthusiast writes: "What’s so wonderful about this Pinot is the way it reconciles all sorts of opposites. It’s dry but sweet in fruit, and delicate yet potent at the same time. It’s totally accessible now, but enormously complex. Flavors of raspberries and cherries meld with pomegranates and persimmons, as well as mushrooms, tea and licorice. " (03/2014)
Starting Bid: $80.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2013 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Battuello Vineyard'' Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and 1-bottle of 2013 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 97VN, 96DC, 96W&S). Of the 2013 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Advocate writes: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Cask 23 ratchets up the level of complexity, richness and density. Magnificent floral notes intermix with blueberry, blackberry and cassis, and there is no hint of new oak. A full-bodied opulence on the palate, great purity and personality make for a prodigious example of Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 30+ years. Kudos to Stags Leap Wine Cellars. (RP)" (12/2016)
Current Bid: $230.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1994 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Masseto" Toscana (95RP, 95VN, 91JS, 91WS). Vinous: "The 1994 Masseto is not a wine I have had often, but it is so compelling tonight. The aromatics alone are totally beguiling. A whole range of floral, savory and spice notes are woven throughout a core of red-toned fruit. Delicate and nuanced, the 1994 is utterly beguiling. I absolutely loved it. Readers who own it should be thrilled. The growing season was marked by an early flowering but normal harvest time, which means the cycle was on the longer side. Maybe that explains why the 1994 is such a complete and alluring wine. (AG)" (01/2018)
Current Bid: $1,040.00

Bid on this magnum of 2009 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux (1.5L) (98JS, 96RP, 94DC, 94WS). James Suckling: "A wine, with intense spice and berry character, with hints of sweet tobacco. It changes all the time from flowers to fruit and wet earth. Full-bodied, with super fine tannins and ripe fruit. It's long and juicy with lovely fruit. Super long and beautiful, with fine tannins that last for minutes. Tight now, but juicy and gorgeous. Best ever from here." (02/2012)
Current Bid: $170.00

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Gaja Barbaresco (94VN). Vinous: "Gaja's 1996 Barbaresco is superb. Smoke, leather, tobacco, menthol and black cherries give the wine its distinctive dark, brooding personality. Bottle age has softened the burly tannins the 1996 had in its youth. With time in the glass, the 1996 starts to brighten a bit, but it remains tannic, austere and intense, which is to say very much in the style of the year. All things considered, the 1996 has aged impeccably. Powerful and also highly expressive, the Barbaresco is a terrific example of the year. (AG)" (10/2017)
Current Bid: $369.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Domaine Louis Jadot Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (97JS, 97WE, 96VN, (93-95BH), (93-95RP), 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Produced from vines owned by Louis Jadot, this wine, like all the grand crus in Gevry-Chambertin comes from a vineyard halfway up the slope behind the village. It has the proper structure, but such is the richness of this vintage, the fruit is already sumptuous, full of ripe cherry and berry flavors. At the same time, it is elegant and with such as stylish, smart aftertaste. Drink from 2025. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (02/2018)
Current Bid: $470.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cakebread "Benchland" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92JS). Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Benchland Select is a stunner. Aged 22 months in 54% new French oak, the wine has a dense, blackish/blue color, a beautiful nose of graphite, blackberry, blueberry, a touch of charcoal embers and spice. It’s youthful, restrained and holding back somewhat. Nevertheless, this is a super-impressive wine that will age effortlessly for 25-30 years. In fact, I don’t think it’s going to hit its peak for another 5-7 years. This is a beauty. (RP)" (12/2015)
Starting Bid: $210.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2021 Dakota Shy "Shy Series - Volume IV" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN). Vinous: "The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Shy Series - Bale Mill Creek is a plush, opulent wine. Blackberry jam, grilled herbs, spice, leather, tobacco, incense, chocolate and new French oak build as this full-bodied, rich wine shows off its sumptuous personality. This is another of the more texturally intense, heady Cabernets in the lineup. (AG)" (12/2023)
Current Bid: $270.00

Bid on this bottle of 1982 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (99JD, 98DC, 97RP, 96JA, 95WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Tasted at the domaine, the 1982 Leoville Las Cases is just about pure perfection, and while certainly mature, it has plenty of life ahead of it. Thrilling notes of blackcurrants, kirsch, tobacco leaf, cedar box, menthol, and exotic spices all emerge from this seamless, powerful yet magically elegant Léoville Las Cases. Opening up in the glass, with a smoky, singular character, it's an incredible wine from this terroir that has an almost Latour-like regal quality." (06/2019)
Current Bid: $425.00

Of the 2000 Domenico Clerico "Percristina" Barolo, Wine Spectator writes: "Dark ruby color, with fabulous aromas of blackberries, toasted oak and cedar. Turns to fresh herbs and wild berries. Full-bodied, with big, velvety tannins and lots of ripe fruit. Amazing finish of toasted oak. The greatest wine ever from Clerico. First made in 1995. Breathtaking." (07/2004)

Of the 2015 Denner "Ditch Digger" Paso Robles Rhône Blend, Wine Advocate writes: "A Grenache-based blend, the 2015 Ditch Digger is lovely, wafting from the glass with an expressive nose of dried flowers, wild berry fruit and orange rind. On the palate, it's full-bodied, ample and succulent, with a generous core of fruit, decent freshness and fine-grained tannins that make their presence felt on the finish. (WK)" (05/2018)

Bid on this bottle of Krug "Grande Cuvée" 170ème Édition Brut Champagne (96DC, 96JS, 96VN, 96WE, 95JD, 95JG, 95RP, 95WS). Vinous: "The NV Grande Cuvée 170ème Édition, (2014 base vintage) is rich, ample and explosive. Wonderfully fresh and vibrant, the 170 offers an exotic mélange of dried orchard fruit, pear, spice and crushed flowers. Chef de Caves Eric Lebel was not especially excited about 2014 when I saw him a few months after the harvest, as yields in Pinot Noir and Meunier were adversely affected. Perhaps for that reason the 170 contains more reserve wines than most editions. Regardless, the Krug team crafted an absolutely brilliant Grande Cuvée. (AG)" (03/2024)

Bid on this 6-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2018 Chappellet "Signature" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, 1-bottle of 2019 Chappellet "Las Piedras" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend and 4-bottles of 2019 Chappellet "Signature" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Of the 2019 Chappellet "Signature" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Decanter writes: "Heady and ripe, floral and open on the nose with aromas of cedar, sweet strawberries, spiced plum and herbal-edged raspberries. Crisp and juicy, tight and tense - the tannins have a firm aspect to them really giving this a coiled, concentrated, knitted texture and frame where the dark, ripe fruit drives through the centre but there's lots of liquorice, dark chocolate and clove spice giving the angles and nuance, almost overtaking the fruit. Still, it's well constructed, smooth and long with lovely integrity of juiciness. Lots of Petit Verdot character also gives the singularity and signature. A fine wine with lots to like. Stylish, sophisticated
