Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (100JD, 100RP, 100VN, 99TWI, 98JA, 98JS, 97DC, 97WS). Vinous: "The 2016 Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is every bit as regal as it has always been. Towering and spectacularly rich in the glass, the 2016 captures every ounce of potential is showed from barrel. The 2016 is a vivid, dramatically sweeping wine that will leave readers week at the knees. Beams of tannin give the 2016 soaring intensity that is matched by a host of aromas and flavors that open up in the glass. Blackberry jam, graphite, spice, menthol, licorice, pencil shavings and spice are all finely sketched in a bold, savory Pauillac that hits all the right notes. The 2016 Pichon Comtesse has been riveting on each of the four occasions I have tasted it from barrel thus far, making it easily one of the wines of the vintage. Nicolas Glumineu and his team turned out an epic Pichon Comtesse in 2016. Don't miss it! (AG)" (01/2019)
Current Bid: $625.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Rivers-Marie "Occidental Ridge Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96JD, 95VN, 93RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "A big, rich, powerful 2017, the 2017 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge Vineyard comes all from Dijon clones and spent 10 months in 25% new French oak. It’s loaded with notions of cassis, smoked herbs, mint, and spicy aromas and flavors and is medium to full-bodied, with a stacked mid-palate as well as a great finish. It’s another terrific Pinot Noir from this estate that can be drunk today with incredible pleasure or cellared for upwards of a decade." (06/2019)
Current Bid: $143.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2010 Carlisle "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (92RP, 90WS), 1-bottle of 2011 Carlisle "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (94RP, 94ST, 93VN), 1-bottle of 2012 Carlisle "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (94RP, 94ST), and 1-bottle of 2013 Carlisle "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah (94RP). Of the 2011 Carlisle "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah, Wine Advocate writes: "A classic James Berry, with notions of creamy raspberry, crushed flowers, spice box and chalky minerality, the 2011 Syrah James Berry Vineyard is fresh and lively, with superb concentration and building tannin. A complete wine, it will round into form with 3-5 years of bottle age and have 15-20 years of ultimate longevity. A superb wine any way you look at it. (JD)" (08/2013)
Current Bid: $163.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2016 Morlet "Mon Chevalier" Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96JD, 96RP, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "The estate-grown 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mon Chevalier is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot. Very deep purple-black in color, it charges forth with intense notes of crushed black cherries, black berry preserves and cassis scents with touches of spearmint, Indian spices, espresso and dried lavender plus a waft of roses. Full-bodied, the palate reveals incredible restraint, slowly revealing earth and black fruit layers framed by firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing very long and spicy. (LPB) 96+" (10/2018)
Current Bid: $341.00

Bid on this bottle of 2017 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95W&S, 95WE, 94DC, 94IWR, (92-94RP), 93JS, 92WS). Wine Enthusiast: "From the historic site where Stag's Leap first began, this is nearly 100% varietal, with just 1.5% Cabernet Franc. It delivers a lifted, floral character dipped in tangy red fruit. The tannins are pillowy and supple, with a structure will last. *Cellar Seletion* (VB)" (12/2020)
Current Bid: $88.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Giuseppe E Figlio Mascarello "Santo Stefano di Perno" Barolo (93RP, 93WS, 91ST). Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Barbera d’Alba Santo Stefano di Perno opens with an intoxicating, heady bouquet of smoke, tar, grilled herbs and dried flowers. Black cherries, plums and pomegranate follow in this juicy, seductive, totally expressive Barbera. The wine shows striking depth and purity while never coming across as heavy. This is as head-turning and sexy a Barbera as was made in 2007. (AG)" (10/2011)
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2015 Produttori di Nebbiolo di Carema Carema Riserva (95VN). Vinous: "The 2015 Carema Riserva is dark, powerful (for Carema) and also wonderfully appealing. Dried cherry, tobacco, smoke, licorice and dried herbs infuse the 2015 with tons of aromatic and flavor nuance. The 2015 also has quite a bit of mid-palate density and the persistence to drink well with just about anything. I find it incredibly appealing, and, frankly, a total knockout, breathtaking wine. (AG)" (08/2019)
Current Bid: $240.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2020 Sine Qua Non "Distenta II" California Syrah (99JD, 99TWI, 98RP, 98VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "A wine that just about tops out the scale, the 2020 Syrah Distenta II (83% Syrah, 8% Grenache, 4% Mourvèdre, and the balance Petite Sirah and mixed whites) is a more exuberant, spicy, incredibly complex Syrah offering assorted red and black fruits, ground pepper, flowery incense, tobacco, and cured meat nuances in its full-bodied, flawlessly balanced, layered, elegant style. Coming 43% from the Third Twin, 33% Eleven Confessions, 21% Cumulus, and the rest from the Molly Aida vineyards (all of which are estate), it saw slightly less whole clusters compared to the 2021 and spent 23 months in 66% new French oak. Anyone questioning the genius of Manfred Krankl needs to taste this wine." (08/2023)
Current Bid: $510.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (99RP, 96JD, 96VN, 96WS, 95ST, 94JS). Wine Advocate: "One of the all-time great vintages for this château is the 1989 Lynch-Bages, a striking wine that offers up pure and intense aromas of cassis, pencil shavings, spring flowers and hints of cigar wrapper. Full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, it's seamless and concentrated, with a rich core of fruit, ripe tannins and a beautifully defined finish. Still an infant at age 32, it surpasses all three of Pauillac's first growths in 1989. (WK)" (02/2022)
Current Bid: $641.00

Bid on this bottle of 1964 Montrose, St-Estephe (94JG, 93VN, 92RP). John Gilman: "Legend has it that the only northern Médocs that picked before the rain in 1964 were Montrose, Gruaud Larose and Latour. I have had fine bottles of all three, and this most recent bottle of 1964 Montrose was utterly stupendous. The deep and pure bouquet explodes from the glass in a blaze of sweet cassis, tobacco, gravelly soil tones, new leather and a pungent topnote of violet. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and complex, with great focus, shockingly tangy acidity, utterly brilliant transparency and superb length and grip on the palate-staining and light on its feet finish. This is one of the finest vintages of Montrose that I have tasted (outside of the legendary 1921), as it is a timeless and brilliant wine that does not derive its beauty from the heavy make-up of a vintage such as the 1989 or 1990. " (06/2007)
Current Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (99TWI, 99VN, 98JD, 97JS, 97WS, 96DC, 96WE). Vinous: "The 2016 La Mission Haut-Brion was stunning from barrel, and now in bottle. It has a sublime bouquet of blackberries, briar and hints of dark chocolate and rose petals that gain intensity with aeration while maintaining ethereal delineation. It never steps on the accelerator too hard. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. There is still a veneer of new oak that will need to be assimilated over the coming years. This is a deep La Mission that caresses the mouth. Touches of graphite lingering on a finish that fans out gloriously. Is the 2016 up there with the 1955 or 1989? Nearly. (NM)" (01/2019)
Current Bid: $540.00

Bid on this bottle of 1987 Heitz "Bella Oaks" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
Current Bid: $225.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Joseph Phelps "Backus" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96VN, (91-93RP), 93ST). Vinous: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Backus Vineyard is a wild, exotic wine. In 2011, this fruit was picked very late, at the end of September, and that results in a wine that is decidedly ripe in its fruit profile. The more savory qualities typical of the year add layers of aromatic presence. Blackberry jam, creme de cassis, chocolate and cloves linger on the soft, plush finish. The 2011 is a decidedly exotic Backus. Persistent and silky, the 2011 is easy to appreciate today for its overall balance, but it will be some years before all the elements fully come together. (AG) " (10/2021)
Current Bid: $460.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2013 Bond "Melbury" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97JS, 97RP, 97VN, 95WS, 94DC), 1-bottle of 2013 Bond "Quella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98VN, 97JS, 96RP, 95DC), 1-bottle of 2013 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99JS, 99RP), and 1-bottle of 2013 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 98JS, 96VN, 96WS). Of the 2013 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend, Wine Advocate writes: "The perfect 2013 Vecina offers up notes of pen ink, scorched earth, espresso, blackcurrant liqueur and blackberries. It is a fabulously great wine, with supple, well-integrated tannin, decent acidity, and a skyscraper-like mouthfeel, with extraordinary purity and richness. (RP)" (10/2016)
Current Bid: $1,550.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Dana "Hershey Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 99RP, 98JS, 97VN) in original wood. Wine Advocate: "Two wines that I did not see from bottle have turned out to be close to perfection. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Hershey Vineyard has unbelievable richness, a profound opaque purple color and enormous notes of lead pencil shavings intermixed with blackberry liqueur, white flowers and crushed rock. The wine is full-bodied and dense with moderately high tannin, but the tannin is integrated and silky. This is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and look for it to evolve for 30-35 years. (RP)" (10/2016)
Current Bid: $750.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2013 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100JS, 100RP, 100VN, 98DC, 96WS) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2013 Harlan Estate is flat-out stunning. Dark, ample and explosive, with tremendous freshness, the 2013 has aged spectacularly. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, spice, espresso, leather and new oak infuse the 2013 with captivating depth. The 2013 shows just how much the Harlan house style has evolved in less than a decade. (AG)" (05/2024)
Current Bid: $6,250.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2014 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95DC, 95VN). Vinous: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is super-refined, polished and articulate, with mid-weight structure and fine overall balance. Readers should expect a somewhat laid-back wine by Dalla Valle's standards. In 2014, the Cabernet Sauvignon is especially aromatic and nuanced. It should drink well with minimal cellaring. (AG)" (12/2016)
Current Bid: $510.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Buccella Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 94JS, 92VN). Wine Advocate: "What a glorious statement for Cabernet Sauvignon, Buccella’s 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine has an opaque purple color, a beautiful nose of forest floor, white flowers, blueberry and black raspberry, along with a telltale cassis and subtle background oak. Full-bodied, rich and multi-dimensional, this is fabulous 2012 that’s just coming into its own. Look for this wine to drink well young, as it already is, and evolve for 20-25 years. (RP)" (12/2015)
Current Bid: $220.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2016 Justin "Isosceles" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend (94VN, 94WE, 92RP). Vinous: "Saturated Ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of ripe black/blue fruits, vanilla and potpourri take on a smoky mineral nuance with air. Well-concentrated blueberry, cherry-vanilla, spice-cake and floral pastille flavors are complemented by suggestions of candied licorice and mocha. Finishes on an alluringly sweet dark fruit preserve note, with gently gripping tannins and outstanding vivacity and focus. (JR)" (12/2020)
Starting Bid: $300.00

Bid on this magnum of 2019 Kinsman Eades "Anjea - Sleeping Lady Vineyard" Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 98DC, 98JD, 98VN) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Anjea Sleeping Lady Vineyard is the most sensual of the Kinsman Eades Cabernets, as it always is. Silky tannins wrap around a core of inky red fruit, blood orange, mint and crushed flowers. Classy and alluring the Anjea is a total knock-out. It's a tremendous example of Sleeping Lady and the vintage. Readers lucky enough to own it should be thrilled. (AG)" (10/2022)
Current Bid: $545.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Salon "Le Mesnil" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (100DC, 100JD, 99RP, 99TWI, 99VN, 98JS, 97BH). Jeb Dunnuck: "A stunning wine through and through, the 1996 Champagne Salon is one for the ages. Tasted at 28 years old in August 2024, it felt youthful and pristine. The house's stylistic focus is fully resonant yet has so much life yet to give, retaining a calling card of compact tension and nerve. On opening, it poured a medium straw hue, hardly suggesting its age, and revealed aromatics of crushed seashells, lemon confit, crystalline salted caramel, and poached apples. The palate sets this wine apart, its mousse highly refined yet lively, with buoyant acidity and chalky richness expanding through the extraordinarily long finish. A profound bottle and a profound wine. (AF)" (10/2024)
Current Bid: $2,495.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2011 Far Niente Napa Valley Chardonnay, 1-bottle of 2016 Far Niente Napa Valley Chardonnay, and 1-bottle of 2018 Far Niente Napa Valley Chardonnay (90WS). Of the 2018 Far Niente Napa Valley Chardonnay, Wine Spectator writes: "Rich and juicy, with oaky accents to the dried apple and glazed apricot flavors. The well-structured finish is filled with savory and buttery notes. (KM)" (08/2020)
Current Bid: $135.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Domaine de la Grange des Pères Vin de Pays de l'Hérault. A benchmark wine of the Languedoc, Grange des Pères has maintained cult status for decades. Pierre Rovani summed it up nicely back in 2004: "This estate’s wines are frightfully expensive and terribly hard to locate in the United States, selling out instantly upon arrival on our shores. Nevertheless, it is important for The Wine Advocate to report on them as doing so may inspire young winemakers in the Languedoc to follow in the footsteps of Laurent Vaille, the dedicated, highly talented winemaker of Domaine de la Grange des Pères."
Current Bid: $410.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2020 Ultramarine "Heintz Vineyard" Blanc de Noirs Sonoma Coast Sparkling Wine. One of the most exciting wine projects in California today happens to be an upstart garagiste with an obsession for redefining sparkling wine in America. Michael Cruse operates from a small industrial park in Petaluma just off the bustling Highway 101 corridor. After a brief career in molecular and cell biology laboratories, Cruse worked his first harvest in 2006. After learning about the meticulous, labor-intensive process of producing artisanal grower Champagne, he became convinced that if winemakers applied the same approach to sparkling wine in California, the results could be game-changing. "
Current Bid: $235.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1976 Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Riesling Auslese #047. Still drinking wonderfully, this is one to grab as Decanter rates the 1976 vintage in Germany a stellar 5 out of 5 declaring it: "An excellent vintage with very ripe, rich wines."
Current Bid: $305.00

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Georges Roumier Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru "Clos de la Bussière" (93JG, 93VN, 92RP, 91BH, 90WS). Vinous: "The 2005 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos de la Bussière 1er Cru from Domaine Georges Roumier proves that this vintage produced some really classy wines whose tannins are finally softening. It boasts exquisite purity on the nose, blossoming with white-tipped strawberry, raspberry, crushed rose petals and wet limestone, polished and sophisticated. The palate is framed by filigree tannins that, if tasted blind, divert you away from this typically structured vintage. There is gentle but insistent grip towards a finish that is imbued with the grip you expect from a Morey rather than a Chambolle. This is beginning to take flight. (NM)" (04/2025)
Current Bid: $420.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2022 Sine Qua Non "Distenta IV" California Grenache (99TWI, (96-98JD), 97VN). The Wine Independent: "The 2022 Grenache Distenta IV comes from three estate vineyards: 35.3% Eleven Confessions, 35.3% The Third Twin, and 29.4% Cumulus Estate. 78% Grenache is blended with 10% Syrah, 7.3% Mourvèdre, 3% Petite Sirah, plus dashes of Muscat and Petit Manseng. The fermentation was performed with 42.9% whole cluster, mainly Grenache. It was aged 23 months in French oak, mostly larger demi-muids, 16.1% new.Deep garnet-purple colored, the nose bursts with a bold perfume of blackberry preserves, juicy blueberries, and black cherries, followed by suggestions of licorice, black pepper, garigue, and dried lavender. (LPB)" (09/2024)

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2016 Corison "Sunbasket Vineyard" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (95JS, 95VN, 94JD, 94JG, 94WS, 93W&S) and 1-bottle of 2019 Corison "Sunbasket Vineyard" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon (96DC, 95RP, 95VN, 95WE, 95WS, 93JD, 93JG). Of the 2019 Corison "Sunbasket Vineyard" St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon, Decanter writes: "Cathy Corison's newest single-vineyard designate from Sunbasket Vineyard in St. Helena AVA, aged 20 months in 50% new French oak, shows the prowess of excellent winemaking. This tightly knit Cabernet is the iron fist in the velvet glove with lofty red-toned mineral aromatics atop cherry and black currant notes. At the same time, the palate is fresh and alive, sporting a linear quality that draws a straight line from the red- and black-toned fruit profile to the cedar-rich elegant, fine-grained tannins to the dried wild herb finish. (JC)" (05/2023)
Current Bid: $263.00

Bid on this bottle of 1960 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac. "Often the most exotic and perfumed wine of the Medoc, Mouton-Rothschild was promoted from second to first-growth status in 1973, the only chateau to be so elevated since 1855. Its dramatic cassis and black cherry fruitiness, along with mineral and graphite notes, are complimented by nuances of smoke, char, coffee, and chocolate from the 100 percent new oak barrels." - From Stephen Tanzer's Wine Access Buyer's Guide, 2006.
Starting Bid: $350.00

Of the 2018 Ridge Vineyards "Benito Dusi Ranch" Paso Robles Zinfandel, Wine Enthusiast writes: "Aroma of crushed blackberry, black plum and fig meet with a toasted grape-seed touch on the nose of this bottling from a historic ranch. Firm tannins and flashes of acid frame the sip, where roasted fig jam, smoked pork and light prune flavors arise. (MK)" (12/2020)

Of the 2013 Testarossa "Garys' Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah, Wine Enthusiast writes: "This lithe and lively Syrah offers Indian spices of black cardamom and chai on the nose alongside boysenberry, elderberry and graphite aromas. The palate is heavy with Christmas spice of pine, juniper and black clove, with camphor and eucalyptus elements playing against the raspberry fruit backdrop. (MK)" (03/2016)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2019 Bouchard Père et Fils Volnay 1er Cru "Frémiets - Clos de la Rougeotte" and 1-bottle of 2019 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Volnay 1er Cru "Les Caillerets - Ancienne Cuvée Carnot" (95JS, 93JM, 93RP, 93WS, (90-92BH), 90VN). Of the 2019 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Volnay 1er Cru "Les Caillerets - Ancienne Cuvée Carnot", James Suckling writes: "This a firm and pretty red with a solid tannin backbone to the medium body. Ripe fruit with some walnut, tobacco, and floral undertones. It’s long and flavorful. Balanced and firm. Classic style. " (06/2021)
Current Bid: $130.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1994 Domaine Barge ''Côte Brune'' Côte-Rôtie. Robert Parker writes: "Gilles Barge’s offerings are all traditionally made, old style Cote Roties, but he does appear to have made some moderate concessions by picking riper fruit, at least for the Cote Brune cuvee."
Starting Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2018 Williams Selyem "Allen Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95DC, 95WE, 94RP, 94VN), 1-bottle of 2018 Williams Selyem "Bacigalupi" Russian River Valley Zinfandel (94WS, 93RP, 92WE), 1-bottle of 2018 Williams Selyem "Bucher Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, and 1-bottle of 2018 Williams Selyem "Eastside Road Neighbors" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95WE, 94VN, 90BH, 90CG). Of the 2018 Williams Selyem "Allen Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Wine Enthusiast writes: "A pronounced floral and earthy nose carries to the medium-bodied palate in this vineyard-designated wine. Lifted notes of wild strawberry, pomegranate and cardamom combine with ease against darker notions of forest floor and toasted oak, remaining bright through a long finish. (VB)" (03/2021)
Current Bid: $195.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Darioush "Signature" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 91CG). Wine Advocate: "The fuller, more complete 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a more opaque ruby/purple color along with notions of spice box, smoky oak, black currants, white chocolate and charcoal. With outstanding fruit and purity as well as a full-bodied texture, this youthful 2002 should age nicely for another 10-15 years. Drink through 2027. (RP)" (06/2012)
Starting Bid: $140.00

Bid on this magnum of 2015 M. Chapoutier "La Mordorée" Côte-Rôtie (1.5L) (OWC - 100JD, 97RP, 97WS, 96JS, 94VN) in original wood. Jeb Dunnuck: "Inky colored, the flagship 2015 Côte Rôtie La Mordorée is an utterly incredible wine any way you look at it and is a legendary Côte Rôtie in the making. Black raspberry, blackberry jam, toasted spices, dried flowers and cured meat notes give way to a sexy, full-bodied, ripe, and incredibly opulent 2015 that has sweet tannin, no hard edges and a huge finish. The fruit of the vintage, as well as the sweet tannin, allow this to offer pleasure even today, but it’s going to benefit from 5-6 years of bottle age and drink beautifully for 20-25 years." (01/2018)
Current Bid: $275.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Magdelaine, St-Emilion (96JG, 94VN, 92RP, 91WS). John Gilman: "The 1998 Chateau Magdelaine, along with Vieux Chateau Certan, are probably the two examples of this outstanding vintage that I have drunk most often in the last decade. Both wines are truly stunning bottles, but both remain youthful and I would still give both wines several more years in the cellar before expecting them to be drinking into their plateau of maturity. The ’98 Magdelaine showed brilliantly at our tasting, offering up a truly stunning nose of black cherries, plums, menthol, woodsmoke, a glorious base of limestone minerality, tobacco leaf and a deft framing of vanillin oak. " (03/2022)
Current Bid: $360.00

Of the 2017 Alban "Estate" Edna Valley Grenache, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Incorporating 5% Syrah (which comes only from the topping of the barrels), the 2017 Grenache offers a vibrant red and blue-fruited style as well as complex herbes de Provence, candied violets, and orange blossom nuances. Full-bodied, pure, and seamless, it’s just a brilliant Grenache to enjoy over the coming 10-15 years." (09/2021)
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1993 Durney "Estate Bottled" Carmel Valley Merlot. "Now renamed 'Heller Estate Organic Vineyards'...The vineyards are planted on sandy, clay loamy soils and despite the altitude the area is very warm and free from frost. The great variation in daily temperatures (which are sometimes 40 degrees in one twenty four hour period) helps to produce these exceptional age-worthy and full-bodied wines. The original vineyards were planted in 1968, and the first wines were produced in 1976. The late William Durney of Los Angeles and his wife Dorothy, a screenwriter, did the first plantings and in 1982 the Carmel Valley Appellation denomination was approved by the authorities in 1983." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Hamel Family "Nuns Canyon" Moon Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 92DC). Jeb Dunnuck: "Made from 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Nun's Canyon Vineyard pours a deep red with a purple tinge. I love its layered aromas of red and black fruit, fresh wild herbs, and lifted graphitic earth. Full-bodied without weight, it has great structure, with loads of rocky earth, black cherry, black raspberry, and savory herbs, as well as notes of olive on the finish. I love this wine for aging another couple of years and to drink over the following 15. (AF)" (07/2023)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine J-F Mugnier Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Clos de la Maréchale" ((91-94VN), 92JM, 91JG, 91RP, 90BH). Vinous: "Bright, dark red. Highly aromatic nose combines blackberry, black raspberry, minerals and spices. Sappy and fine-grained; very dry and concentrated, conveying a strong impression of inner-palate energy. Sexy cherry and crushed stone flavors are framed by suave tannins on the very long, aromatic back end. Showing more éclat than it did from barrel a year ago, this wine has turned out very well. Bid on this magnum of 2021 Domaine Bruno Clair Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (1.5L) ((94-97JM), (93-96BH), (94-96VN), 95DC, (93-95RP), 95TA). Jasper Morris: "The Clos e Bèze returned a full crop of 35 hl/ha. Crimson purple, a light reduction fractionally hides the fruit on the nose for the moment. Magical on the palate, raspberry and roses, a slightly eggy touch at the back from the late malolactic fermentation, I think. A little more structure behind and great length. A very complete wine. Drink from 2029-2040." (01/2023)
