Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2018 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Bougros" (95JS, 95WE, 94JG, (90-94JM), 94VN, 93RP, 92BH, 91WS) and 1-bottle of 2018 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Preuses" (97DC, (95-97VN), (93-96JM), 96WE, 95JG, 94JS, 94RP, 93BH, 92WS). Of the 2018 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Preuses", Vinous writes: "The 2018 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru is a super-classic expression of this site. Bright, punchy and intensely mineral, the Preuses possesses off-the-charts intensity and exceptional balance, all with the crystalline purity that is the signature of the very best wines from this site. Lemon peel, slate, mint, crushed rocks, white pepper and flowers build into the explosive, palate-staining finish. What a magnificent wine this is. (AG)" (01/2020)
Current Bid: $205.00

Bid on this magnum of 2015 Diamond Creek "Gravelly Meadow" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (97RP, 96JS, 94VN, 94WE, 93WS). Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravelly Meadow opens with a lovely floral perfume of violets and rose hip tea with a core of chocolate-covered cherries, mulberries, blueberry compote and plum preserves plus hints of wood smoke, tobacco and menthol. Full-bodied and firmly framed with grainy tannins and background freshness, it has gorgeous earthy layers and a mineral-tinged finish. (LPB)" (10/2018)
Current Bid: $410.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2018 Double Diamond (Schrader) Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 94JS, 94WE). Jeb Dunnuck: "Readers looking to get a taste of the impeccable quality and style from Schrader at a more affordable price point would do well to check out the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Double Diamond. Coming all from Oakville, it has a classic Cabernet nose of black and blue fruits, green tobacco, cedar pencil, damp earth, and chocolate. It's not over the top and has beautiful varietal character as well as medium to full body, ripe yet present tannins, good overall freshness, and a great finish. This is beautifully done and well worth a case purchase. I'd lean toward drinking bottles over the coming 10-12 years, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see it evolve longer. It's a candidate for the best Napa Cabernet under $100." (01/2021)
Current Bid: $164.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97DC, 97JS, 97RP, 97W&S, 96VN, 95ST). Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Monte Bello is beginning to drink very well indeed, revealing complex aromas of sweet currant fruit, rich soil, cedar cigar box and sweet spices. With time in the glass, nuances of dark chocolate and loamy soil emerge too. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with fine-grained structuring tannins, the first signs of emerging savory nuance and a bright, beautifully focused finish. As it approaches age 13, the 2005 is still very youthful—indeed, this particular bottle was more reserved and taut than the last four or five that I've encountered—so there's certainly no rush to drink it. Cropped at just under one ton per acre, the 2005 is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc that attained 13.4% natural alcohol. (WK)" (05/2018)
Current Bid: $651.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Tor Kenward "Beckstoffer To Kalon - Clone 337" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95WS, 94VN). Wine Advocate: "Deep garnet colored, the 2009 Tor Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Clone 337 (coming from F block in Beckstoffer To Kalon) slowly unfurls to reveal a wonderfully earthy/savory nose with notes of tilled soil, truffles, tapenade, tobacco and tree bark over a core of crème de cassis and plum pudding with nuances of raspberry preserves, incense and iron ore. Full-bodied, the palate is bursting with earth and mineral-laced baked black fruits, with a wonderfully plush frame and just enough freshness to lift the long, ferrous finish. (LPB)" (01/2020)
Current Bid: $415.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2019 Bruno Giacosa "Asili" Barbaresco (98JS, 95RP). James Suckling: "Sweet and succulent aromas of tangerines, freshly cut ripe strawberries, cherries and flowers follow through to a full-bodied palate with sleek and dense tannins that run the length of the wine and then fan out into a dense, vivid finish of fruit. It’s chewy and seriously structured with finesse and energy. Silky texture. This needs at least four or five years to come together and open. Try after 2027." (04/2022)
Current Bid: $320.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Case Basse "Soldera" Toscana (96DC, 96VN). Vinous: "The 2015 Toscana Sangiovese is a beautifully forward, luscious wine that shows so well today. Radiant and layered, with no hard edges, the 2015 is an absolute delight. The 2015 is part of the Soldera vintages that offer tremendous immediacy yet have the stuffing to age. It is perhaps a touch on the young side today, but who cares? (Drink between 2024-2045) (AG)" (06/2024)
Current Bid: $725.00

Bid on this bottle of 2000 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (97RP, 95IWR, 95JD, 94WE, 93DC, 93JS, 92WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Cos d'Estournel is deep garnet in color with a touch of brick and sporting a lot of tertiary evolution on the nose. It leaps from the glass with opulent sandalwood, Chinese five spice, cigar box and leather scents over a core of prunes, baked cherries, dried mulberries and eucalyptus plus a touch of potpourri. Medium-bodied, the palate is laden with fragrant fruitcake and exotic spice layers, framed by wonderfully plush tannins and a refreshing line, finishing with an exhilarating menthol lift. (LPB)" (11/2018)
Current Bid: $215.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Champeaux" Vieille Vigne ((92-94RP), (90-93BH), 93VN). Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux has an animated bouquet with perfumed dark cherry and raspberry fruit, a hint of violet surfacing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with very good substance, fine delineation with crisp acidity. The fruit feels darker here than other cuvées from Fourrier, satin-like in texture with a seductive finish. (NM)" (12/2016)
Current Bid: $215.00

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2014 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96DC, 96TWI, 94JS, 93W&S, 92JD, 92JG, 92VN), 1-bottle of 2015 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 94JG, 94WS, 93JS, 93W&S, 92VN), and 1-bottle of 2016 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JG, 95WE, 93IWR, 93JS, 93WS, 92VN). Of the 2015 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Wine Enthusiast writes: "This understated, elegant study in the variety opens in beguiling aromas of floral rose before opening into a finely made, structured and gracefully constructed wine that's fully in balance. Leather, black cherry and dark chocolate highlight a midpalate of finely polished, tamed tannin and integrated oak. *Cellar Selection* (VB)" (11/2018)
Current Bid: $298.00

Bid on this bottle of 2019 Domaine Hubert Lignier Gevrey-Chambertin "Les Seuvrées" (94DC, (91-93VN), (90-92BH), (88-91JM), (89-91RP)). Decanter: "Just over 1ha of vines was planted almost 70 years ago here, across the Route Nationale from Mazoyères, by Laurent Lignier's grandfather. The fruit ripens well and after fermentation, with about 20% whole clusters, gentle punching down and ageing in cask (20% new), the result has an evocative cherry fruit, with a pronounced mineral/saline character and a silky, lush texture. Marvellous. (CC)" (10/2020)
Current Bid: $70.00

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Dujac Romanée St. Vivant Grand Cru (96BH, (93-96VN)). Vinous: "The 2010 Romanée Saint Vivant comes across as quite delicate, floral and feminine. Sweet red cherries, crushed flowers and mint wrap around the finish in this weightless, airy RSV. I have seen this wine grow significantly once it is in bottle, and expect that will be the case here as well. (Drink between 2020-2040) (AG)" (02/2012)
Current Bid: $2,347.99

Bid on this bottle of 1990 d'Yquem, Sauternes (98DC, 98RP, 97TWI, 96JA). Wine Advocate: "Medium to deep golden colored, the 1990 d'Yquem opens with unabashed opulence, giving expressive notes of dried apricots, toffee, candied walnut, tree bark and sandalwood with nuances of preserved mandarin peel, lemongrass and fallen leaves. The palate is entering that stage where it still has bags of fruit and yet appears quite dry, with a lively line contributing jaw-dropping tension and finishing with epically long-lingering honey nut and earth-inspired notes. Pure. Hedonism. The multilayered intensity perhaps makes this appear a much bigger, sweeter Yquem than it is, and yet it possesses a relatively modest 12.7% alcohol and 126 grams per liter of residual sugar with 3.9 grams per liter of total acidity (H2SO4). Well into its ideal drinking window, there is no real rush to drink this beauty, as it should remain suspended at the heavenly plateau for another 25+ years. (LPB)" (08/2019)
Current Bid: $407.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Booker "Oublié - Extended" Paso Robles Rhône Blend ((95-97JD), 95RP, 95VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Oublie Ext will spend 22-24 months in barrel (as will all of the extended age releases). It has a slightly more floral character as well as lots of kirsch and blackberry fruits, notes of orange blossom, pepper, and flowers, terrific purity, and outstanding length." (09/2021)
Current Bid: $111.00

Bid on this bottle of 2009 E. Guigal "La Landonne" Côte-Rôtie (100JD, 100RP, 99WS, 96ST). Wine Advocate: "Another 2009 that exhibits over the top extravagance and richness, and one I can find no fault in, the 2009 Cote Rotie La Landonne offers a colossal and full-bodied profile that carries incredible aromas and flavors of roasted meats, smoke, asphalt and assorted meatiness that’s all grounded by a massive core of fruit. A huge wine, it stays perfectly in check, with notable freshness, a deep, layered mid-palate and masses of fine tannin that carry through the finish. Hide this beauty in the cellar for another decade and enjoy. (JD)" (12/2013)
Current Bid: $370.00

Bid on this bottle of 2021 Fingers Crossed (Faethm) California Rosé. Composed of 53% Syrah, 42% Grenache, and 5% Mourvèdre. Limited lot — only 903 bottles produced. Antonio Galloni writes in Vinous: "I was very happy to taste these wines from Nikolas and Julia Krankl. More than anything else, I am delighted to see a more specific and distinctive style continuing to take shape. Finding that voice has to be extremely hard given the family lineage with Sine Qua Non. The bottled 2020s turned out as I had envisioned, but I expect they will be surpassed by the nascent 2021s." (09/2023)
Current Bid: $100.00

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Mollydooker "Velvet Glove" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (97RP, 97WS). Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Velvet Glove is the first vintage ever made and is deep garnet-black in color with an alluring meaty and gamey nose accented by smoky bacon, a bit of brine and iron ore, some dried plums and black berry preserves and notes of figs and eucalyptus. Full-bodied and crisp, it is richly concentrated with coffee and raisin flavors, has medium levels of velvety tannins and excellent length on the finish. (LPB)" (02/2013)
Current Bid: $166.00

Bid on this bottle of 2021 Vice Versa "Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 97RP). Wine Advocate: "Once again, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is one of my favorites among the current lineup from Vice Versa. Gentle sage and pipe tobacco nuances accent ripe red and black cherries, plus there are hints of fine suede and complex notes of dried spices. It's full-bodied and concentrated, richly tannic but ripe, silky and fine. There's a certain elegance and generosity here, despite the large-scale tannins. Great stuff. (JC) 97+" (01/2024)
Current Bid: $221.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2020 Clos Solène "Cuvée Juliette" Santa Maria Valley Brut Rosé. Languedoc-Roussillon natives Guillaume and Solène Fabre founded Clos Solène in 2007, and producing 2, 500 cases per year from purchased fruit. They have more than doubled that in recent years as their estate fruit has come of age, and the property has expanded.
Current Bid: $406.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96JS, 96WE, (92-94RP), 94VN, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Vieux Telegraphe is the iconic expression of La Crau, Châteauneuf-du-Pape's famed stony plateau, and this sumptuous, vibrant red is a classic bottling. A blend of 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre and 5% Cinsault, it's packed with sultry black cherry and blackberry flavors edged by pepper and licorice. *Editors' Choice* (AI)" (03/2021)
Current Bid: $155.00

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2013 Tensley BMT Santa Barbara County Syrah (1.5L) (95RP, 94VN, 93WS). Wine Advocate: Incorporating 25% Grenache, the Syrah-dominated 2013 Syrah BMT really shows its Grenache component on both the nose and palate. Perfumed and hedonistic, with lots of sweet blackberry, olive tapenade, wild herbs and licorice aromas and flavors, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a big, full mid-palate and a sweet, sexy texture that carries through the finish. (JD) (08/2015)
Starting Bid: $110.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1961 Franco Fiorina Barolo (92JG). John Gilman: "I am not sure if it is the bottle or the wine, but the 1961 Franco Fiorina Barolo is just a touch more oxidative in style than the bottle of ’61 Barbaresco paired up with it, though this too is drinking very well indeed, just without quite the same vibrancy and sense of being at its apogee. The tertiary bouquet is a mix of dried cherries, orange peel, red curry, onion skin, dried roses and a complex base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very suave and resolved on the attack, with a fine core, lovely intensity of flavor, very good grip and lovely balance on the long and mature finish. This is still very tasty, but my gut instinct tells me that there are even more vibrant bottles out there." (08/2014)
Current Bid: $180.00

Bid on this 4-bottle tasting lot; including 2-bottles of 2019 Ridge Vineyards "Gonsalves" Contra Costa County Carignane and 2-bottles of 2019 Ridge Vineyards "Gonsalves" Contra Costa County Mataro (92VN). Of the 2019 Ridge Vineyards "Gonsalves" Contra Costa County Mataro, Vinous writes: "The 2019 Mataro Gonsalves is another intriguing addition to the lineup. Medium in body, the 2019 is laced with dark cherry fruit intermingled with range of earthy and savory notes typical of Mataro. This flavorful Contra Costa red has a ton to offer. (AG)" (05/2022)
Starting Bid: $90.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 94WS, 91VN). Wine Advocate: "A wine of great intensity and richness, it displays classic notes of licorice, barbecue smoke, creme de cassis, cedarwood and forest floor. Full-bodied with sensational purity, a multidimensional mouthfeel and a long, voluptuous finish with no hard edges, it has only reached mid-adolescence, and has at least two decades of life ahead of it. (RP)" (11/2013)
Current Bid: $510.00

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Masseto" Toscana (100RP, 99JS, 99VN, 98WS). Wine Advocate: "The release of this wine comes at a very happy time for the Masseto brand. The stunning 2015 Masseto is hitting the market just as the final touches are being made to the new Masseto winery. I'm told that Masseto might one day see other wines made under that same roof, so we can't exclude a future enlargement of the Masseto portfolio. The Masseto vineyard now covers seven hectares (divided into three plots), and the vines range from 30 to 40 years old. (ML)" (09/2018)
Current Bid: $845.00

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2018 Giacomo Conterno "Vigna Cerretta" Barbera d'Alba (94VN). Vinous: "The 2018 Barbera d'Alba Vigna Cerretta is so elegant and refined in this vintage. The 2018 is lithe and precise, with lovely red berry, floral and blood orange flavors that are woven together into a fabric of total class. The long, silky finish is a thing of beauty. With a bit of time, the Cerretta starts to show its trademark pliancy. I would give it a few years in bottle. (AG)" (10/2020)
Starting Bid: $260.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2017 Il Marroneto "Madonna delle Grazie" Brunello di Montalcino (96VN, 94DC, 94JG). Vinous: "The 2017 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie lights up the senses from the very first moment. Its aromatics alone are worth the price of entry; an exotic, spicy bouquet blends lavender, blood orange and tart raspberries with mentholated herbs, smoke and crushed stone. The textures are unbelievably soft, like liquid velvet, enveloping with mineral-tinged ripe cherries and sweet, sweet spice. This is so pretty and expressive, yet also juicy and fresh. Fine tannins mount, though they are only noticeable through the finale, where saline-minerals mix with sour citrus and autumnal spice in an expression that just goes on and on. (EG)" (12/2021)
Current Bid: $320.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Jean et Sebastien Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru "Vaillons Vieilles Vignes" ((91-93VN), 92BH, (90-92RP)). Vinous: "Lemon and pineapple fruit aromas are complicated by a yeasty baked-bread quality and a hint of reduction. Sweeter and more pliant than the foregoing premier crus, offering a captivating combination of citrus zest, leesy complexity and salty minerality. This very rich, dense Chablis shows noteworthy finesse and finishes with a subtle balsamic quality. (ST)" (07/2016)
Current Bid: $101.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2019 Lafleur 'Les Perrieres', Bordeaux Superieur (95DC, 95JD, 95RP, 93JS). Wine Advocate: "A striking wine from the limestone plateau of Fronsac planted with massale selections from Lafleur, the 2019 Les Perrières de Lafleur is indecently good. Bursting with aromas of raspberries, violets, warm spices and rose petals, it's full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a racy, tensile profile and a long, intensely mineral finish. Les Perrières de Lafleur is compelling testimony to the primacy of vine genetics over age, as the Cabernet Franc here is a mere 3-4 years old and the Merlot 7-8, yet the resulting wine already boasts incredible intensity and character. It certainly puts the "Supérieur" in the appellation "Bordeaux Supérieur." (WK)" (04/2022)
Current Bid: $411.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Léoville-Las Cases, St-Julien (99JS, 99TWI, 98JA, 98JD, 98RP, 98WE, 98WS, 97DC, 97VN, 95ST). James Suckling: "Let yourself go and sink into this deep dark chasm that will swallow you whole if you let it. Enormous concentration, but every bit as much finesse, the finish extremely long and fine. And this is just beginning to give its best!" (02/2019)
Current Bid: $670.00

Bid on this bottle of 2018 MacDonald Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (99JD, 98VN, 98WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "Flirting with perfection, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon from this tiny family estate shows the pure, elegant, yet concentrated style of this vintage to a T. Darker currants, cassis, olives, violets, and spring flower notes all flow to a full-bodied, concentrated, ultra-classic, flawlessly balanced Cabernet. The tannins are present yet polished, it has wonderfully integrated acidity, and is one of those wines that keeps you coming back to the glass. Count yourself lucky if you’re able to snag any bottles." (01/2021)
Current Bid: $550.00

Bid on this 2-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2014 Jérôme Chezeaux Nuits St. Georges "Les Charbonnières Vieilles Vignes" and 1-bottle of 2014 Jérôme Chezeaux Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Chaumes". Of the 2014 Jérôme Chezeaux Nuits St. Georges "Les Charbonnières Vieilles Vignes", Located in Prémeaux-Prissey just south of Nuits Saint Georges, Domaine Jérôme Chezeaux owns approximately 12 hectares of vineyards. Current Bid: $156.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Lucien Le Moine Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru ((94-97VN), (93-95BH)). Vinous: "Medium red. Noble, cool aromas of black raspberry, blood orange, rose petal and crushed rock. Pristine, penetrating and youthfully imploded, conveying great urgency and a high pitch to its bracing flavors of red cherry, red berries, flowers and spices. Communicates a strong impression of dry extract but comes across as virtually weightless. Finishing with outstanding rising length and finesse, this aristocratic wine should evolve in bottle for a long time. Stunning and classic. (ST)" (01/2016)
Current Bid: $726.01

Bid on this bottle of 1996 d'Yquem, Sauternes (97TWI, 96WS, 95RP). The Wine Independent: "The 1996 Yquem is pale to medium amber in color. Spritely scents of orange blossom, honeysuckle, and pineapple upside-down cake jump from the nose, giving way to hints of green mango, lime cordial, and powdered ginger. The palate is relatively savory and energetic, delivering bright citrus and tropical fruit flavors, with a racy backbone, finishing gracefully, beautifully poised, with a lingering perfume. The residual sugar is 122 grams per liter. (LPB)" (09/2023)
Current Bid: $254.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Palmer, Margaux (99JD, 98JS, 98WE, 97JA, 97RP, 96VN, 95ST, 95WS). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2009 Palmer is unquestionably one of the greatest young Bordeaux I’ve tasted, and it has a rare mix of richness and elegance that’s incredible. Blackcurrants, violets, lead pencil shavings and a touch of minerality all emerge from this rich, massively concentrated Margaux that still glides across the palate with no sense of weight or heaviness. It’s perfectly balanced, has a ripe, hedonistic core of fruit, as well as integrated acidity. It’s a dream today, but is going to have 30-40 years or more of prime drinking." (11/2017)
Current Bid: $900.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2020 Quintodecimo "Jaune d'Arles" Greco di Tufo. Monica Larner writes: "At Quintodecimo, the winemaking philosophy is simple. The best vineyard sites are selected for each individual wine. Great care is taken to understand soils, exposures and microclimates. And nothing is taken for granted."
Current Bid: $100.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Riise "Peace" Paso Robles Rhone Blend (95JD, 93RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Syrah Based Blend is 75% Syrah and the rest a mix of Mourvèdre, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 26 months in 70% new barrels. Blackberries, peppery herbs, graphite, and some spicy wood notes all define the bouquet, and this beauty is full-bodied, with a plush, sexy texture, ripe yet substantial tannins, and a great finish. Give it a few years and enjoy over the following decade or more. It's a classic, ripe, yet perfectly balanced Paso Robles Syrah." (09/2022)
Current Bid: $170.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (99JD, 97JS, 97VN, 97WS, 96RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "The more Syrah-dominated 2019 Broken Stones (60% Syrah, 20% Graciano, 11% Mourvèdre, and the rest Grenache and Carignan) sports a deep purple hue as well as incredible black fruits and notes of ground pepper, smoked game, scorched earth, and truffle." (09/2021)
Current Bid: $205.00

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2019 Mayacamas Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96JD, 96TWI, 96WS, 95JS, 95W&S). Vinous: "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a pretty rich, bombastic wine, especially for Mayacamas. A blast of dark fruit, incense, tobacco, licorice, spice and mocha hits the palate. I would give the 2019 at least a few years in bottle to settle down, as it is quite the powerhouse today. This is an unusually flamboyant wine with plenty of richness and a bit less in the way of subtlety. The opulence of the vintage comes through loud and clear. (AG)" (10/2022)
Current Bid: $675.00

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2019 Sine Qua Non "Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Central Coast Syrah (100TWI, 99JD, 99RP, 99VN). The Wine Independent: "The 2019 Eleven Confessions Vineyard Syrah is deep garnet-black in color. A mushroom cloud of exotic spices and incense erupts from the glass, leading to a core of plum preserves and blueberry pie, plus suggestions of dark chocolate, black truffles, mossy tree bark, and iron ore. The full-bodied palate is densely packed yet remarkably fresh and bright, delivering a solid backbone of fine-grained tannins, finishing on a lingering ferrous note. I love the juxtaposition between power and vibrancy here! The blend is 82% Syrah, 13.1 % Grenache, and 3.3% Petite Sirah, with splashes of Viognier and Gelber Muskateller (a white grape - Muscat Blanc à Petit Grains), all coming from the Krankls' Eleven Confessions vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills. (LPB)" (08/2023)
Current Bid: $420.00

Bid on this magnum of 2016 Kinsman Eades "Rhadamanthus" Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 97VN, 94WS) in original wood. Vinous: "Kinsman's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Rhadamanthus Diamond Mountain District has really grown over the course of its barrel aging. Powerful and explosive, with tremendous concentration, the 2016 is all class. Inky dark fruit, lavender, spice, game and a host of savory/mineral inflections abound. The 2016 is a wine of magnificent intensity and pure power. Surprisingly, it may still have room to grow! (AG)" (12/2018)
Current Bid: $750.00

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95JD, 95VN). Vinous: "A total knock-out, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate captures all the potential of this great site. Powerful, voluptuous and structured, yet very much within the context of classicism that has defined these wines for several decades. Dark red cherry, stone fruits, smoke, licorice and scorched earth, along with beams of tannin, wrap around the palate. Deep, virile and explosive, the 2014 is a must have. Don't miss it! Sweet red fruit, licorice, leather and moist pipe tobacco are some of the many layers that peel back from the bouquet. The balance, structure and persistence of the wine are all superb. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino (97VN, 96JD, 96WS, 95DC, 95RP, 94JS, 94W&S, 93KO). Vinous: "A classic from the first tilt of the glass, the 2016 Brunello di Montalcino wows the senses with a pleasantly old-school bouquet of leather, earth tones, dried flowers, crushed cherries, sage and clove. This mixes radiant dark red fruits with sweet spices and salty mineral tones to create a display of contrasts, all over a silky textural wave that’s guided by vibrant acidity. Youthfully tense yet spicy with an orange flourish and amazingly fresh, the 2016 finishes with a tart tinge of youthful tension and fine-grained tannins that will require patience to resolve. This is, without a doubt, one of the vintage's top wines. The 2016 is total class. (EG)" (12/2023)

Bid on this 3-bottle tasting lot; including 1-bottle of 2017 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah (98JD), 1-bottle of 2018 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (98JD, 98RP, 95VN), and 1-bottle of 2019 Alban "Patrina" Central Coast Syrah (93JD). Of the 2017 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah, Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Reminding me of a great vintage of Guigal's Côte Rôtie La Mouline, the 2017 Syrah Lorraine is brilliant stuff that ranks with the finest Syrahs in the vintage. Dense purple-hued, with a kaleidoscope-like nose of red and black fruits, spring flowers, camphor, spice, and ground pepper, this beauty hits the palate with a full-bodied, multi-dimensional texture, a stacked mid-palate, ripe tannins, and a thrilling finish that keeps you (me, anyway) coming back to the glass. From a more challenging vintage for the Central Coast and all of California, this is a testament to the talent and genius of John Alban. Drink this spectacular Syrah any time over the coming 25-30 years." (09/2021)
