2019 Gulfi "NeroBufaleffj" Nero d'Avola Sicilia
Review Date: 11-13-2025
I cannot get over how much this wine reminds me of freshly picked wild blackberries. Tart, aromatic, with finely knit tannins that draw you inter another sip... and another, and another. Brings back memories of gorging myself with the fruit when I discovered a hidden patch of them at the park in late summer. Thankfully, I don't have to watch out for any thorns to enjoy this!

2022 Nga Waka Pinot Noir Martinborough
Review Date: 11-13-2025
This earthy, savory Pinot Noir is a perfect match for anyone looking to explore the unique terroir of Martinborough. There's an oxidized dry-aged meat quality to it, almost gamey, with notes of dry herbs that reminds me of Pu'er tea.

2012 Le Brun de Neuville "Grand Vintage" Brut Champagne
Review Date: 11-13-2025
It is such a treat to taste an exceptional vintage from a fantastic producer! This bottle has had the time to develop a graceful maturity, making for an elegantly layered complexity that is really special. The aromas on the nose and palate have integrated seamlessly and melded together into gentle notes of chestnut and brioche, with a long chalky finish lasting ages after each sip. Outstanding!

2023 Ridge Vineyards "Geyserville" Alexander Valley Zinfandel
Review Date: 11-06-2025
This wine is a bit tight at first when you pop the cork, but it opens up beautifully after decanting and swirling in the glass. Pomegranate on the nose with hints of cranberry and elderberry on the palate with a whiff of bouquet garni on the finish. Structured yet approachable. This one is a crowd pleaser!

2023 Ridge Vineyards "Lytton Springs" Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
Review Date: 11-06-2025
This structured and layered zinfandel is one of those gorgeous wines that manage to be harmonious while each type of grape contributes a recognizable individual character to the blend. The craftsmanship and expertise that is showcased here is unmistakable. This is an iconic wine for someone who wants a fruit-forward red that is not overdone.

2021 Groth "Oakcross" Oakville Proprietary Red
Review Date: 11-06-2025
Dark brooding fruit, lush and powerful balanced with restraint. Cedarwood and blackberries with firm yet fine-grained tannins. This is drinking well now and for years to come!

2020 Bideona "VIBN4 Vinedos en Villabuena" Rioja
Review Date: 10-28-2025
If you are looking for Tempranillo less on the fruity side and more dominated by savory herbaceous notes, you have to give this a try. This is an unmistakably well-made wine; several layers of earthen charm have a complexity and depth that can only be achieved by a winemaker that really knows what they are doing. The fruit provides a window into the soul of the vineyard itself, as if taking you on a journey through the soil, roots, and vine.

2022 PROJECT M "Bednarik Vineyard" Tualatin Hills Pinot Noir
Review Date: 10-20-2025
Notes of damp evergreen, wood ash, and wild berries give this pinot noir a woodsy vibe that is a perfect expression of its place of origin. Grippy tannins and mouth-watering acidity create a firm backbone for this lovely wine. Give it a little time to open up in your decanter if you would like to showcase more of the floral aromatics and ripe berry notes.

2021 Cobb "Doc's Ranch Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Review Date: 09-12-2025
A gorgeous nose of raspberries and potpourri and tremendous lift on the palate. The acid is bright and focused while the tannins bring a gentle warmth with notes of tea and allspice. if you are looking for a quality pinot noir for a gift or special occasion, this memorable bottling is a fantastic choice.

2018 Ink Grade "Andosol" Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Review Date: 08-05-2025
"Ink" is an appropriate name for this wine—plush, full-bodied midnight black fruit from the zinfandel mingles with the silky yet robust tannins of the cabernet sauvignon. This is a lot of wine for the price!

Sông Cái Viet Nam Dry Gin (700ml)
Review Date: 06-10-2025
It's always a pleasure to try the ever-growing variety of spirits offered from around the world here at K&L. I was impressed by the delicate lovely aromatics and incredibly smooth finish. This is a more subtle gin so it wouldn't be my go-to for dirty martinis, but it has a wonderful profile for drinking neat!

It's not often that you can find a way to have your cake and eat it too, but this bourbon does not compromise on silky smooth molasses character while supporting a great cause. Be a patron of the arts in style by putting on some blues and sipping on some Old Soul—a pairing fit for a connoisseur.

Leopold Bros. X Matthiasson Sweet Wermut (Vermouth) (700ml)
Review Date: 06-10-2025
What an incredible value! It's rare to find an American red vermouth that so perfectly encapsulates the distinctive terroir of Napa cabernet sauvignon. The infusion blend is an excellent and well-integrated complement to the strong grape foundation, with the wormwood and ginger as standouts.

Orval Trappist Ale, Belgium (11.2 oz bottle)
Review Date: 11-12-2024
Fans of pungent farmhouse styles will love the full-bodied complexity of this rustic unfiltered pale ale. A truly authentic Trappist ale, Orval is pitched with Brettanomyces yeast before allowing the flavor to bloom over a long cellar conditioning period. As this beer is stored over months to years, the lively green aroma of the hops and zesty citrus notes give way to the remarkably complex and soulful mushroom character that it is known for.
