Wild Turkey "Kentucky Spirit" Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey

I was excited to get to try this Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit and it certainly delivered. Layered notes of caramel, vanilla and raisin front and center followed by subtle hints of raspberry, currant and dried apricot mingled together. The flavor bomb continues on the palate with white peach, cinnamon and currant that opens up to orange citrus and light oaky tones to help round out the sweetness. The medium finish brings more orange citrus with a lite bite of black pepper and oak on the back that doesn’t over stay its welcome. This single barrel came to play and is a great addition to the bar top.

A. Smith Bowman Distillery "Bowman Bros" Small Batch Virginia Straight Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)

This delicious whiskey opens up with candied green apple, pear and honey on the nose. The first sip introduces cinnamon and baking spice on the palate with a hit of citrus that lingers on tongue. As the whiskey opens up in the glass the aroma changes to fresh cherries and blueberry. maple syrup and brown sugar gets mingled in with the cinnamon from before and the finish mimics the nose of fresh cherries that are subdued quickly by the cinnamon citrus notes.

This is an incredible bottle of bourbon with a profound nose of vanilla, caramel and maple syrup, Following up the nose with a well balanced body of salted caramel, cherry and spices, finishing off the the pallet with plum and toasted sugar. Every sip brings out and accentuates each flavor profile making this one of the most easy drinking and crushable bourbons I've ever had.
