Reviewed October 2026Always a classy white, the 2025 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc is 40% Clairette, 25% Roussanne, 25% Grenache Blanc, and 10% Bourboulenc from La Crau, and it was aged on its lees in barrels, demi-muids, and 30-hectoliter foudres. It has pear, hints of orchard fruits, honeyed white flowers, spice, and crushed stone on the nose. Medium-bodied and nicely concentrated on the palate, it has integrated acidity and shows the slightly more supple style of the vintage, yet it has its classic purity, precision, and crystalline character. It will benefit from 2-3 years in the cellar, and I suspect it will see its 20th birthday in fine form.

Vinous
A blend of Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Bourboulenc, the 2025 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc La Crau opens with perfumed lemon flesh, pear skin and pastry. Stone dust contributes mineral verve. This closes sapid and focused with a lingering slice of yellow apple. A full-bodied, rounded and beautifully balanced rendition. (NG)
