A background hint of reduction shaves the top notes from the ripe aromas of various white-fleshed fruit, citrus confit and discreet floral nuances. Here too there is fine mid-palate density to the equally powerful medium weight flavors that coat the mouth with sappy dry extract that also buffers the moderately firm, serious and long finale. This too is a very good effort and worth checking out.*Burghound Outstanding!*

The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chenevottes 1er Cru has impressive purity on the nose, with very well-defined scents of lemon, orange pith and apple blossom. The palate has a powerful, weighty opening. This has a lot of concentration, with tropical notes coming through toward the finish, though the previous vintage had a little more tension. Give this a couple of years in bottle to be tamed.(NM)
