Notes
Madonna delle Grazie comes from Il Marroneto’s historic vineyard beside the thirteenth-century chapel that gives the wine its name. This Sangiovese selection ferments spontaneously in oak vats; the producer records 47 months of maturation in large oak casks for the current 2021 release. Vinous describes the 2021 through silky texture and tart cherry, with acidity balancing the depth of fruit. Rose and tea nuances extend the finish, where the tannins remain present. Wine Advocate likewise emphasizes concentration carried by a seamless, finely balanced texture.
