After 24 years of evolution, this indigenous grape has shed its youthful austerity for a wonderfully nuanced profile. The nose is deep and woodsy, with aromas of dried blackcurrant and sour cherry, layered with notes of underbrush, leather, tobacco, and dried savory herbs. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied and elegant, with the once-firm tannins now resolved into a fine, silky texture.
