Reviewed January 2025Attractive pale colour. The bouquet is reticent with fresh citrus, and some leesy minerals. Definitely some citrus notes on the palate too along with white apple fruit, good length, well balanced, white wine terroirs. Drink from 2026-2029. Tasted Oct 2024.

A subtle if still relatively easily perceptible application of wood sets off layered aromas of rosemary oil, the essence of apple, and a citrus whiff. The less concentrated though still attractively textured flavors already possess good depth on the balanced and lingering finish where a touch of rusticity slowly emerges.

The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Village has a forward nose of French patisserie, light tropical scents and lemon verbena. The palate is taut and fresh with orange rind and peachy notes on the entry. The 2023 is not a complex Chassagne, but it has satisfying freshness with an agreeable peach-skin finish.(NM)
