Lively, with fun raspberry and blackberry fruit that stays bright and engaging throughout, backed by light anise and floral notes on the finish. This should fill out nicely. (JM, Web Only-2018)

Due to the frost, there's only one-third of the normal production of the 2017 Chateau D'Aiguilhe. Nevertheless, it’s an outstanding wine based on a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. It offers more upfront blue fruits and hints of cassis as well as loads of violets and spring flowers. With good concentration, fine tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and outstanding length, it's ideal for drinking over the coming 7-8 years.

Lots of raspberry and strawberry coulis character is presented amidst a mesh of round tannins and driven through by the minerality to a medium finish.

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color and composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2017 d'Aiguilhe contains a large part of second-generation fruit because 60% of the crop was affected by frost. It is scented of baked blackberries, preserved plums and Indian spices with hints of menthol and wood smoke. Medium-bodied with firm, chewy tannins and a lively line of freshness, it has a long earth-laced finish. (LPB)
