2024 Clos de Luz "Azuda" Carménère Cachapoal
Review Date: 04-17-2026
I'm always excited to find a wine that's going to pair well with the flavors I use at home. With notes of poblano pepper, jalapeno, and light touches of cilantro, my mind instantly went to Chile Verde, a repeat dish in my house. The body is somewhere between medium bodied and full bodied, with nice acidity and structure that makes it a great pairing for a meal. Carmenere is a grape that can lean heavily into those green pyrazine notes, but here it moves away from straight jalapeno, into something a little more interesting. If you pair it with meat dishes that are heavy on salsa or peppers, then you've got a match made in heaven!

2024 Aniello Blanco de Pinot Noir Rio Negro Patagonia
Review Date: 04-17-2026
I'm a fan of white wines made from Pinot Noir, whether it's champagne, or in this case, a still white from Argentina. This is a crisp wine where the fruit takes a back seat to the pronounced minerality. And even though the fruit notes are more subtle, they're still quite pretty. Aromas of pineapple, raspberry, and a savory plantain note make this a unique and fun Pinot Noir. This will do well with or without a meal. Personally, I would opt for tacos and a picnic.

2025 Zephyr Riesling Marlborough
Review Date: 03-20-2026
This Riesling is not shy! From the moment you take your first sip, you're hit with notes of petrol and stone fruit. This develops into dried nectarine and finishes with notes of tart tamarind. There are about 10g of residual sugar in this bottle, but you almost don't feel it from the acidity. If you're looking to explore Riesling outside of Germany and Alsace, this is a great start. Full of character and charm, this pairs well with anything savory or spicy.

2024 Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough
Review Date: 03-20-2026
I love New Zealand whites for how expressive they are, and this is no exception. This is the kind of wine I want to drink with friends on a hot summer day. It's fresh and fun, with notes of grapefruit and sweet citrus on the nose that persist on the palate and give way to light notes of white nectarine on the finish. The acidity is fresh, balanced, and makes this a great wine for the summer.

2023 Berta Valgañón "Selección Maturana Tinta" Rioja
Review Date: 02-20-2026
What a charming wine! On the nose you get blackberry and currant backed by a lightly herbal note. On the palate, the black fruit notes give way to a leathery and dark chocolate finish. There is a subtle gaminess that is so well integrated that the wine feels rustic, yet polished. If you're looking for more modern expressions of Rioja or you're looking to learn more about lesser known grapes from Spain, this is a great place to start.

Damien Hugot Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru
Review Date: 02-20-2026
I'm always excited to see the Damein Hugot back on our shelves! The extra brut is my favorite in the line up, it's expressive, pretty, and sits at a great price point. The nose is inviting, with aromas of orchard fruit, lemon, and honey. On the palate you get notes of yellow apple and a lovely creamy texture balanced by punchy acidity. This is a great crowd pleaser, pick up a bottle or two for your next party!

2023 Domaine Barge "La Ribaudy" Saint-Joseph Blanc
Review Date: 10-24-2025
Bright and lightly floral, this is my kind of Rhone Blanc! The ripe fruity notes of white nectarine and Meyer lemon zest give way to more herbal notes of white flower and something like citrus leaf. This has a rounded, oily texture with a lively acidity. If you're a fan of the classic Marsanne/Roussanne blend, give this 100% Marsanne a try!

2022 Domaine Barge "Coeur de Combard" Côte-Rôtie
Review Date: 10-24-2025
The soft rose petal and incense aromas immediately drew me into this Cote-Rotie. This is one of those wines that invites you keep sniffing before you finally take your first sip. Once the wine hits your palate, you're greeted with bright, crunchy notes of strawberry, cherry, and pomegranate. This wine is fresh and vibrant, with a great structure and well-integrated tannins. This wine is quite charming and is a great candidate for any special occasion.

2021 Domaine des Carlines "Tremoulettes" Chardonnay Côtes du Jura Blanc
Review Date: 09-26-2025
This is my kind of wine! Lush and creamy with the kind of long finish that both invites you to savor the moment and go back for another sip. There is a bright undercurrent of orange and meyer lemon that helps cut through the roundness and adds a lovely citrusy lift to the finish. Made with chardonnay and aged in 3-5 year old barrels, this can hold its own with white burgundy twice the price. Last little note for those who may have been burned by Jura before, this is not a vin de juane, which is to say it's not aged under a layer of flor and it won't taste oxidated the way sherry does :)

2023 San Lorenzo "Vigna di Gino" Marche Rosso
Review Date: 09-19-2025
If you're looking for your next sub 20 red, this is it! This chillable red is on the lighter side, with notes of crunchy red fruit and an earthy, almost peppery finish. This is the kind of wine you're going to want to take everywhere: picnics, parties, or just catching up with friends. This blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano is juicy and chillable, what's not to love?!

2021 K&L Discovery Series Italy, Barolo
Review Date: 09-17-2025
This is the kind of Barolo where the fruit takes a backseat to more savory notes, which just so happens to be my favorite kind of Barolo! You'll be met with notes of olive, earth, and a touch of tobacco that gently give way to notes of black cherry, whole pomegranate arils, and a finish of dried flowers. This wine is aged in Botti, large oak casks that impart very little oak flavor, resulting in a wine that expresses the pure character of Nebbiolo. This is pretty young for a Barolo and it's still a little moody, but give it a quick decant and or lay it down for a few years and you'll be in for a treat!
