Delord 25 Year Old Bas Armagnac (700ml)

This is beautiful, soft, and elegant brandy that shows brooding notes of cocoa, roasted nuts, and baking spices. The dried fruit really comes through on the mid-palate and the finish is a burst of cinnamon with a silky smooth exit. To get a 25-year Armagnac for this price is already a great deal, but to have it taste this good is practically criminal. The Delord family has been making this spirit since the late 1800s.

Domaine De Charron 17 Year Old Single Barrel K&L Exclusive Bas-Armagnac (750ml)
2008 Domaine De Charron 17 Year Old Single Barrel K&L Exclusive Bas-Armagnac (750ml)

Domaine De Charron is really one of those secret gems that I know brandy bros are trying to keep for themselves. I have never been into a cellar more exquisitely taken care of than the gorgeous caves at this tiny Domaine. The commitment to quality and specifically a quality that the rest of the larger apparatus eschews is unparalleled. If there was ever a cross over whiskey drinkers brandy this is the one. Imagine getting a cask strength single barrel 17 year old bourbon for $110? You'd probably assume it was terrible considering the price, but you'd still buy it anyway. This ridiculous brandy is absolutely delicious - 17 years in new gascogne oak and bottled without manipulation of any kind. Let's give it a go. The color is a shimering auburn (1.5). The nose is bold and red fruited, with huge sweet oak notes and dense cherry compote. It's the sweet sticky red fruit that leads the mind toward bourbon on first nosing, it's the rich barrel spices that take you the rest of the way home. On the palate, it pops with huge juicy damson plums, butterscotch, tahitian vanilla and cinnamon spice. The texture isn't quite where a 17 year old bourbon might be, but it's dang close and the oily mouthfeel is a testiment to the quality of their spirit. The finish is long with candied cinnamon and red fruit dominating. A totally under appreciated product that the classical brandy people might find a bit overarching, but the bourbon guys will fall right in love here.

Vaghi Vintage Armagnac
1926 Vaghi Vintage Armagnac

The collection of Armagnacs we have amassed includes more than 80 vintages of Bas-Armagnac and Armagnac, bottled at various times over the last 30 years, but very few compare to this outrageous vintage. Buying the same stocks today would easily cost over $2,000 a bottle and likely would not be as good as this, which was bottled way back in 1995. This was already matured to the maximum possible level after 70 years, and any more time in oak might have pushed it over the edge. Certain other vintages we sell are technically older than this but were distilled later. Armagnac is true magic. No other spirit offers such incredible aging potential while remaining relatively accessible to the average buyer. Let us see what 70 years in barrel can do. The nose starts dense and full of OBE, the Old Bottle Effect. It's slightly oily, slightly metallic, but not off-putting. With air, it opens to reveal an incredible array of exotic woods and spices: cedar, sandalwood, balsam, dried mint, dried rose petals, sarsaparilla, blackberry compote, coffee beans, and graphite. On the palate, expect big roasted baking spices, dark fruit, earthy warehouse floor, rich oak, and medium tannins that are not hard or harsh at all. The finish is medium and begs to be followed by another sip. An incredible value that we simply will not be able to match in the future.

LaRoche-Vacquie "Double Oak" LRV-02 Small Batch Cask Strength Haut-Armagnac (750ml)
2019 LaRoche-Vacquie "Double Oak" LRV-02 Small Batch Cask Strength Haut-Armagnac (750ml)

LaRoche-Vacquié is one of the most remarkable estates in Armagnac, a genuine pioneer in the revival of the tiny Haut-Armagnac appellation. Bruno Compagnon began producing Armagnac here in 1990, on a historic property overlooking Lectoure, after the region had spent nearly a century struggling to recover from phylloxera. His work earned him a knighthood in 1997, and today he and his son Morgan farm 62 acres of organic vineyards on the chalky limestone soils that give Haut-Armagnac its traditional name, "white Armagnac." Only a few acres are devoted to Armagnac, making each release exceptionally limited. This extraordinary single cask was distilled in 2019 from estate-grown Ugni Blanc and Colombard and bottled in 2026 after seven years in two distinctive French oak species: native Gascon pedunculate oak and fine-grained sessile oak from Tronçais. Cask #117 was bottled at its natural strength of 58.7% ABV without reduction or filtration. The estate is sustainably farmed without pesticides and powered by solar energy. Every bottle is sealed, labeled, dated, and numbered by hand. With only about 1% of the category produced in Haut-Armagnac, LaRoche-Vacquié offers a rare glimpse of one of France’s nearly forgotten brandy terroirs, presented here in an unusually powerful, completely unmanipulated form.

Domaine De Charron 20 Year Old Single Barrel K&L Exclusive Bas-Armagnac (750ml)
2005 Domaine De Charron 20 Year Old Single Barrel K&L Exclusive Bas-Armagnac (750ml)

You would never guess that one of the most distinctive cellars in Bas-Armagnac sits just off the road in the tiny Landes village of Perquie. Domaine de Charron is not some grand château operation, but a proudly microscopic estate built around Baco, the hybrid grape that seems almost purpose-built for the sandy, iron-streaked sables fauves of the region. The Lartigue family’s story is part accident, part stubbornness: their vines had long fed the cooperative, with the occasional barrel tucked away for family use, until 1985, when Jacques and Claude Lartigue refused to let the old Baco disappear and revived production under the Charron name. The scale remains almost absurdly small, with only a handful of casks produced in a normal year, yet the style is monumental. The chai itself tells you plenty: beautifully kept, orderly, and almost shockingly immaculate by regional standards, a manicured little cellar where every cask seems to have its place. Charron is aged in new oak and then essentially left alone, a method that feels closer in spirit to great bourbon than to most polished, racked Armagnac. That is exactly why this 2005 single barrel matters. It captures one of the region’s most idiosyncratic estates at full strength, showing what happens when old vines, tiny production, patient farming, traditional distillation, and a radically hands-off cellar philosophy all point in the same direction.

The Rare Armagnac Collection 26 Year Old (Domaine de Pouchegu) K&L Exclusive Cask Strength Single Barrel #D2 Ténarèze Armagnac (750ml)
1999 The Rare Armagnac Collection 26 Year Old (Domaine de Pouchegu) K&L Exclusive Cask Strength Single Barrel #D2 Ténarèze Armagnac (750ml)

I won’t be surprised if the other Pouchegu bottlings overshadow this incredible little cask. It seems many people are still stuck in a 2012 mindset, assuming a brandy distilled in 1999 is too young to be exceptional. But here we are, more than a decade after discovering this remarkable domaine, and the late-’90s distillates I’ve tasted carry the unmistakable touch of the master who crafted them. It’s unfortunate that most will overlook this release—and that our allocation at these under-market prices is so limited—but for those willing to trust me and take the plunge, I have no doubt you’ll be reaching out later to say thank you for the nudge. Let’s dig in. The color shows a classic deep copper (1.0). The nose is packed with pungent aromatics: gorgeous tilleul honey, perfectly pulled light-roast espresso, lemon oil, apricot jam, Dunhill Aperitif, sencha, and sandalwood. The palate is juicy and exceptionally well-structured, with a lift and brightness neither of the other two vintages display—more honey, dark underbrush, yellow fruits, and perique-like dried tobacco notes. The finish expands into bold spice and deep black and red fruits. A departure from the more varnished character of the older vintages, perhaps, but an idiosyncratic and deeply satisfying style in its own right.

Domaine D'Aurensan "Le Carré Des Fantômes" Single Plot Ténaréze Armagnac (700ml)
Domaine D'Aurensan "Le Carré Des Fantômes" Single Plot Ténaréze Armagnac (700ml)

AOC Armagnac regulations permit ten different grape varieties, though today almost all production comes from just four: Ugni Blanc, Baco, Folle Blanche, and Colombard. In 2014, Domaine d’Aurensan set out to revive the six others, planting them together in a small parcel they call Le Carré des Fantômes, or “the ghost plot,” a nod to the nearly vanished status of these forgotten Armagnac grapes. Those rare varieties are Plant de Graisse, Mauzac Blanc, Meslier St François, Jurançon Blanc, Mauzac Rosé, and Clairette de Gascogne. Rather than separating them by row or block, Aurensan planted them using complantation, an old viticultural practice in which multiple varieties grow side by side in the same vineyard. The approach encourages biodiversity, resilience, and a more intricate expression of place. In 2018, the estate harvested, vinified, and distilled this unusual field blend for the first time, creating a single-plot Armagnac unlike anything else in the region. It was aged for more than three years and bottled at full cask strength, 52% ABV, without filtration, dilution, coloring, or additives. Le Carré des Fantômes is bright, aromatic, and deeply distinctive. The nose offers fresh orchard fruit, hay, and apple blossom, while the palate remains driven by the distillate itself, recalling both youthful Armagnac Blanche and the grassy lift of lightly aged rhum agricole. Notes of fruit skin, wildflower honey, quince paste, and fresh herbs give it striking energy and originalit

LaRoche-Vacquie 22 Year Old "Single Oak" Batch LRV-01 Single Cask #81 Cask Strength Haut-Armagnac (750ml)
2004 LaRoche-Vacquie 22 Year Old "Single Oak" Batch LRV-01 Single Cask #81 Cask Strength Haut-Armagnac (750ml)

LaRoche-Vacquié is one of the great revival stories in French spirits. Bruno and Sylvie Compagnon purchased this former apple and prune farm overlooking Lectoure in 1986, nearly a century after phylloxera had erased Armagnac production from the area. Bruno began replanting vines in 1990, helping resurrect Haut-Armagnac and earning a knighthood for his work in 1997. This astonishing 2004 vintage comes from cask #81 bis, matured for 22 years exclusively in French sessile oak from Tronçais and bottled in 2026 at its natural strength of 55.7% ABV. It is a true single-cask Armagnac, neither reduced nor filtered, drawn from a barrel that is now exhausted. Production begins with estate-grown Ugni Blanc and Colombard cultivated on limestone, clay, and chalk soils. The wine is distilled only once before entering oak, preserving the character of both vintage and place. The Compagnons converted the property to organic farming in 2008, use no pesticides, and have powered the estate with solar energy since 2011. Every bottle is sealed, dated, labeled, and numbered by hand. Haut-Armagnac accounts for only about 1% of total Armagnac production, and LaRoche-Vacquié is the only producer in the appellation with vintages extending back to 1991. A 22-year-old cask-strength release from this nearly lost terroir would be rare under any circumstances; with only 24 bottles remaining from the finished cask, this is truly microscopic.

Domaine De Charron 29 Year Old Singel Barrel K&L Exclusive Bas-Armagnac (750ml)
1996 Domaine De Charron 29 Year Old Singel Barrel K&L Exclusive Bas-Armagnac (750ml)

The little house off the main road in Perquie does not look like it should contain one of the most singular stocks of spirit in Gascony, but that is part of Domaine de Charron’s magic. Claude Lartigue, a relative of the Darroze family, built Charron into something utterly its own: a tiny Bas-Armagnac domaine centered on Baco, producing only four to six barrels of brandy in a normal year. The cellar philosophy is almost shocking for the region. Charron is filled into new oak, then left alone, with no racking, no polishing, and no attempt to soften the edges into some anonymous house style. It is Armagnac made with the stubborn directness of great bourbon, yet anchored entirely in Gascon soil, local farming, and the peculiar power of Baco in Perquie. The chai itself is a revelation: small, orderly, beautifully maintained, and unusually immaculate by regional standards, the kind of place that tells you immediately the casks are being watched with quiet precision. This 1996 single barrel is exactly the sort of thing that makes our direct-import program so exciting. It represents a tiny output, an idiosyncratic producer, a vanishingly rare style, and a mature vintage that would be nearly impossible to recreate at scale. For whiskey drinkers looking beyond whiskey, and Armagnac lovers who prize character over polish, Charron remains one of the category’s great discoveries.

CINU Amaro (700ml)
CINU Amaro (700ml)

CINU takes its name from the Modican dialect word for full or abundant, an apt introduction to this Sicilian amaro built around sixteen botanicals from the island’s east. The recipe connects the citrus groves of Mount Etna with the wild herbs and bitter roots of the Hyblaean plateaus, bringing two distinctive Sicilian landscapes into the same bottle. Carob, bitter orange and grapefruit peel join wild fennel, rosemary, chamomile and nepitella, the aromatic herb also known as lesser calamint, while gentian root and cinchona bark provide the bitter foundation. A slow cold maceration extracts the botanicals, with no added flavorings. Produced and bottled in Sicily at a substantial 30% ABV, CINU offers plenty for lovers of traditional Italian bitters to investigate, particularly the combination of carob, local herbs and citrus. It’s an amaro with a strong regional identity and a straightforward purpose: an excellent excuse to linger at the table after dinner. Serve it neat at room temperature or chilled, or put its botanical complexity to work in a cocktail.

1992 Chateau Lassalle-Baqué 30 Year Old "PM Spirits Collab x Remi Brocado" Single Barrel #109 Cask Strength Ténarèze-Armagnac (700ml)

Five generations of Armagnac production stand behind Château Lassalle Baqué, the Brocardo family’s estate in Montréal-du-Gers. Rémi Brocardo now oversees its 15 hectares of vines while working as a traveling distiller, with experience spanning Château Arton, L’Encantada, and Thailand’s Chalong Bay rum distillery. This collaboration with PM Spirits reaches into the older stocks laid down during his parents’ stewardship, before production paused in 1995 and resumed under Rémi in 2017. The 1992 vintage was made from Ugni Blanc grown on sandy, loamy boulbène soils, with Josette Brocardo responsible for the wine and itinerant distiller Yvan Saint-Martin performing a single distillation on a mobile Armagnac still. Matured for three decades in French oak in a humid cellar, the selected 410-liter cask #109 yielded just 480 bottles. Released at its natural cask strength of 47.1% ABV without additives or chill filtration. There's no reason this extremely rare aged spirit shouldn't cost many multiples of our current price, but at K&L we always pass the saving onto our customers. The beautiful '82 vintage is as well regarded in Armagnac as it was in Bordeaux. While the production goals are different in brandy and wine making, certain vintages are just undeniably excellent from a quality standpoint, and the '82 seems to regularly outperform others. As a contrast to the excellent '83, this vintage is more robust and fruit forward offering dense dried fruit, and wild exotic spices.

Shaped by traditional distillation and long maturation in oak, these spirits evolve from vibrant eaux-de-vie into layered, harmonious expressions marked by fruit, spice, and depth rather than weight. Spanning nearly a century of distillation, this library offers a rare perspective on Armagnac through individual vintages—each bottle a singular, unrepeatable record of time, place, and tradition.
