In Radda in Chianti, Sergio Manetti's Montevertine became one of Tuscany's reference points after leaving the Chianti Classico appellation in the early 1980s. The estate's Toscana bottling is Sangiovese-led, traditionally made with small portions of local red varieties and aged in large Slavonian oak rather than new barrique.
