A vibrant serious wine from an upland vineyard well-structured in tannins and bursting with ripe berry violet and iron flavors. Aromas of dark cherries fir forest wet stones and bay leaves as well. Tannins are firm and fine-grained adding a little grip to the texture and accentuating the wine’s freshness and linearity. Drinkable now and best from 2030.

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Cornelius Grove offers a gorgeous nose that reminds me of a great Pessac-Léognan with its darker currants smoke tobacco cedar wood and graphite along with that cold fireplace character that I love. Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Cornelius Grove Vineyard it's medium to full-bodied concentrated round and layered with ripe polished voluptuous tannins. It's another brilliant wine in the making from this exceptional estate.
