2025 Stein "Blauschiefer" Riesling Trocken (Dry) Mosel

The Stein "Blauschiefer" Trocken Riesling from Germany’s Mosel is a wonderfully crisp, mineral-driven expression of the region’s steep, slate-rich vineyards. Made by the Stein family, whose wines champion the character of the Mosel’s ancient slate soils, Blauschiefer (literally “blue slate”) comes from old vines planted on blue slate in Sankt Aldegund. Dry and refreshingly focused, it offers bright citrus, green apple and a distinctly stony, almost saline minerality, with lively acidity and a delicate spritz. A terrific choice for lovers of lean, elegant Riesling, it delivers classic Mosel character without the sweetness.
