Glenrothes 25 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Established in 1879 in the Speyside town of Rothes, The Glenrothes has built its identity around slow distillation and carefully managed maturation in sherry-seasoned oak. Its production begins with exceptionally soft spring water drawn from four private sources on the estate, naturally filtered through volcanic bedrock and gravity-fed from the surrounding hills. Unusually tall copper stills and a deliberately slow distillation rate maximize copper contact, reducing heavier compounds and establishing the refined spirit that underpins the distillery’s long-aged releases. Glenrothes commissions its oak casks to its own specifications and has them seasoned with sherry, maintaining control over the wood that will shape decades of maturation. The 25 brings these elements together after a minimum of a quarter-century in oak, allowing the spirit’s development over time to become as significant as the influence of the casks themselves. Bottled at 43% ABV, or 86 proof, it's the quintessential modern Glenrothes.
