Reviewed November 2025
A slightly darker ruby colour with an explosion of sensual fruit on the nose, even a very slight chocolate note. A fine redcurrant tension though refers back to the vintage, with a little crunch from the whole bunch. Or perhaps that comes from the terroir of Mazoyères, whence this wine issues.

Extremely successful, particularly for the vintage, with dense, ripe plum and blackberry fruit aromas with hints of leather and bramble. The texture is supple and velvety, with plenty of extract and enough freshness to ensure a lovely balance. The grapes are from two parcels, located mostly in Mazoyères, under Latricières, and just a bit in Aux Charmes, totalling nearly a hectare. The total production was only five and a half barrels, but the wine is delicious. (Drink between 2032-2050)

The 2024 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru was blended with around 30% whole bunch. This is quite fragrant and floral on the nose—some similitude to an Echézeaux, just a hint of undergrowth behind the red fruit, very commendable in terms of purity. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy strawberry and cranberry, a fine bead of acidity, quite taut and focused with a twist of black pepper on the more Mazoyères-like finish. Good backbone—it will need three or four years to shave its edges.
