Lovely Burgundy from a small up-and-coming region of Vire-Clesse. It has beautiful tart and sweet citrus fruit like Meyer lemon, with rich texture and flavor reminiscent of lemon curd. It is a great wine for many occasions: from serving it with fish and scallops to chicken Piccata.
Notes
Quintaine is a hamlet in Clessé, one of the two villages that give Viré-Clessé its name. Domaine des Terres de Chatenay’s 2025 Terroir de Quintaine is a Chardonnay from this Mâconnais appellation, which gained its own designation in 1999.
