This structured, concentrated effort is medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and beautiful overall purity. It's going to reward patience. Hide bottles for 3-4 years and enjoy over the following decade. 95+

The 2022 Saint-Joseph Lieu-Dit Saint-Joseph is the highlight in Saint-Joseph's range from Maison Ferraton. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of mulberries, dark berries, flowers, spices, licorice and iris, it has a pure, precise and perfumed bouquet, followed by a medium to full-bodied, layered and charming palate with a fleshy core of fruit, a lively mid-palate and a barely noticeable oak character that is perfectly mingled with superb dry extracts. Reflecting its origins without artifice, this is a magnificent rendition of this pure granite terroir. (YC) 94+
