Reviewed January 2026This has gusto with its overt toastiness, punchy lemony acidity and broad, apple-driven palate.A powerhouse of a lieux-dit, this will take some time to settle down. Give it two to three years, after all, it has plenty of balance to go longer.

Note: from a .28 ha parcel of vines planted in 1918 that directly abut Charmes and are the domaine's oldest. Here the reduction is so light that it does no more than blur the nuances of the apple, pear and citrus-suffused nose. There is fine volume to the bigger and richer medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract while exhibiting superb length on the balanced, dry and inviting finale. The straight Meursault villages is impressive but this is even more so - highly recommended.*Burghound Outstanding Top Value!*

Pale lime green colour. Lots of tension on the nose. After a moment there is a graceful ripe plum fruit, thanks to the nearly centenarian vines. Very delicious and juicy as well, with good length. Drink from 2028-2034. Tasted Oct 2025.
Notes
Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "These vines, under Charmes, planted in 1923 – ‘but maybe only 40% of the original planting remains’ A little extra richness, still the perfume. Direct but padded – growing in stature and width as you head into the finish. A proper Meursault and delicious too!"(01/2026)
