92pts Mosel Fine Wines: "The 2025er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese was made from only clean fruit harvested on over 90-year-old vines and almost at 92° Oechsle and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar (90 g/l). It offers a quite perfumed and aromatic nose of vineyard peach, apricot, orange blossom, acacia, mirabelle, pear, and minty herbs. The wine coats the palate with rich and ample ripe and honeyed fruits and leaves a quite smooth and juicy feel in the long finish. This sweet wine already plays in Auslese territory, and as such is excellent in a rather direct and charming style. 2033-2065."(07/2026)
