The 2025 Riesling Veldenzer Elisenberg Spätlese immediately shines with lemon purity that is surrounded by blossom and creaminess. Lemon balm also adds a lovely nuance of freshness. The palate then turns fully toward white and yellow peach, with immense juiciness, with elegant concentration and a perfect contour of lemon zest. What purity, brightness and light-footed freshness. Yes, sweetness is here, deep inside the core, but it is citrus that sets the tone. (Sweet) (AK)

93pts Mosel Fine Wines: "The 2025 Elisenberger Riesling Spätlese, as it is referred to on the consumer label, was made from almost only clean fruit harvested on 70-year-old vines at 93° Oechsle and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar (90 g/l). It delivers a superbly complex and attractive nose of orange blossom, cassis, blueberry, lavender, and plum. The wine starts off on the juicy and creamy side, with intensely ripe and creamy elements, yet a great kick of ripe acidity brings liveliness to the whole. The finish proves superbly long and engaging. This is a great, rich Spätlese. 2035-2065."(07/2026)
