When I first tasted the Vignes Blanches from Curveux, I wrote down in my notes: "I can't decide if Premier Cru Pouilly-Fuissé of this quality shouldn't be possible at this price, or if I'm just overzealous in my first week on the job." Lo and behold, over a month, and half-a-hundred Pouilly-Fuissés later, I still haven't tasted one that struck me like this bottle did. It's a lush and doughy and superbly textured, with wonderful lift from the always-energetic 2024 vintage. A wine that you taste and are certain you’ll have to pay an arm and a leg to enjoy it, and then celebrate with a second bottle when you find out it’s under $30!

I really found this wine to be incredibly alluring, I don't often go for Pouilly-Fuisse, but this was pretty magical, especially at under $30. There's a depth and power to the fruit, a sort of heavy ripeness coupled with this really beautiful sweet fruit and just enough oak to give it a little bit more interest. This is phenomenal and something I'm going to be bringing to Thanksgiving and Christmas because I know that people will really love it.

Domaine Guillaume Curveux is a small four-generation family estate in Fuissé at the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, farming 8 hectares across Fuissé, Solutré, and Chaintré, with Guillaume Curveux now running the domaine after working alongside his father Joël for many years. Les Vignes Blanches is one of the 22 premier cru climats recognized when Pouilly-Fuissé was granted premier cru status in 2020.
