Château d’Arce is a small Castillon estate on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, an area long known for delivering Saint-Émilion character at a far friendlier price. The property was historically associated with vigneron Éric Lenormand, and its vineyards are planted on the limestone and clay soils that define much of the Castillon appellation. The 2009 vintage comes from one of Bordeaux’s standout years and is a classic Right Bank blend built around Merlot. Castillon’s limestone-rich plateau and hillsides help retain freshness while giving the wines structure and longevity.
