Reviewed June 2025The 2024 Grüner Veltliner Dürnstein is picked in sites across the plain along the Danube and was made in stainless steel only. Moss and creamy aloe vera are very tender on the nose. The palate is light, fluid and smooth on a slender body, with just a touch of white pepper and yeast on its creamy mid-palate.(AK)

The 2024 Dürnsteiner Grüner Veltliner comes from sites on the plain along the Danube, where the soils consist of well-drained sandy sediments and gravel. This vintage was made entirely in stainless steel. Elisabeth Pichler-Krutzler and Erich Krutzler founded their estate in 2007 in Oberloiben, near Dürnstein. Their backgrounds bring together the Wachau and southern Burgenland, and their estate focuses on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.
