Notes
Sperss comes from the Marenca-Rivette area of Serralunga d’Alba, where Nebbiolo grows on compact clay and limestone marls with southern and southwestern exposures. The Gaja family acquired the property in 1988. For the 2020, the importer records thirty months of aging in oak. Wine Advocate describes dark fruit, orange peel and licorice supported by chalky tannins. The JebDunnuck.com assessment finds rose and strawberry aromas above a focused, compact palate.
