Very racy and pure with extremely expressive white-peach and white-flower aromas, this is an extremely exciting wine that zips over your palate with considerable energy. The slate finish is extremely clean. Drink or hold.

The 2024 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett once again shows its slate and lemon lift, inherent coolness and elegance. A note of wet slate fringed with lemon is at the core of the palate. The 2024 is beautifully linear, precise and so utterly salty amidst the gentle sweetness. It is gorgeous. (Off-dry)(AK)

The 2024 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett is bright, refined and intense on the somewhat nutty nose that reveals ripe and dried white seed fruit as well as lush peach, pear and popcorn aromas. Round and raisiny on the palate, with a pure, crystalline and saline grip, this is a quite sweet yet savory, very elegant and refined Riesling that is not fully shining today but promising in its lightness, finesse and elegance. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in March 2026.(SR)

The 2024er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett was made from fruit harvested at 78° Oechsle on 80-90-year-old un-grafted vines and was fermented down to barely fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (46 g/l). This offers a very engaging nose made of peach, passion fruit, white flowers, herbs, and smoke. The wine proves beautifully precise and elegant on the palate, where the fruity side is nicely wrapped into ripe acidity. The finish is animating, elegant, and quite irresistible. What a great Kabinett! 2034-2054."(07/2025)
