Reviewed March 2022The 2014 Lessona is classy and polished right out of the gate. Linear in build, the 2014 will appeal most to readers who enjoy vibrant, mineral reds. There is plenty of depth and fruit, but all woven into the wine's frame. Raspberry, sweet red cherry, rose petal, mint, cinnamon and crushed rocks linger. Superb.

A "classic" vintage in the truest sense. 2014 was cool, wet, and challenging, but in Alto Piemonte, this is what the vines are used to. This is a lean, savory, high-acid wine for the purist. It’s all about dried herbs, iron, and taut red fruit—a beautifully transparent, food-friendly expression of a demanding year.
