Reviewed September 2022Although the cherry-scented nose here is reticent (and less vibrant than it was in 2018), it remains polished and elegant. The attack is supple but spicy, with fine texture and enough bright acidity to lift the palate. Yet overall the wine now seems a touch subdued, with a finish that's long but solid. (SB)

A benchmark of structure and longevity. The 2013 is a coiled spring, a classic, high-acid vintage with a firm tannic backbone. It’s just beginning to show its aromatic potential, with notes of rose petal, tar, and bright cranberry. This is a wine for the cellar, built for the long haul.
