Notes
A rare and magnificent sweet wine from one of Italy’s most traditional estates, the 2008 Ronchi di Cialla Verduzzo is a masterclass in complexity and age. Made from Verduzzo grapes left to dry on the vine and aged for years in barrel and bottle, this is a profound, meditative wine. The nose is deep and incredibly complex, with aromas of dried apricot, candied orange peel, and toasted almond, layered with savory notes of beeswax, chamomile, and spice. On the palate, it’s luscious and concentrated yet impeccably balanced by a vibrant, savory acidity that cuts through the sweetness. The finish is exceptionally long and resonant, echoing with nutty, honeyed, and mineral nuances. A stunning and unique Italian dessert wine.
