Reviewed January 2025Another particularly deep purple colour. The bouquet is complex, floral as well as fruit-driven, and there is the usual quite precise structure on the plate, within which there is a beautiful expression of raspberry fruit picked at optimum ripeness. The aftertaste is exceptionally long and leaves the mouth feeling fresh. Drink from 2028-2032. Tasted Dec 2024.

Once again there is an appealing coolness to the airy and elegant aromas of mostly red currant, cherry and a broader array of floral elements. The medium-bodied flavors possess a highly attractive mouthfeel that is at once sleek and mineral-driven that contrasts somewhat with the overtly austere, compact and built-to-age finale. This is a classic Clos du Roy that's clearly going to require at least some patience. Worth considering. *Burghound Outstanding!*

Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "Nice volume of aroma – a hint less definition than many to start – but like all growing in focus and becoming very inviting – again with plenty of perfume. Hmm – more width and fluidity, growing in intensity. A nose short of great today and I’m pretty sure that this will come – bravo!"(02/2025)
